Must admit, as we broke into Garrison tonight and we saw all the Rams made in there, we were all very disappointed in that behaviour. Truth is though, we can’t prove one way or another who it was or even if it was from Blackgate. I suspect it was and we in no way condone that.

It happened to us 2 weeks ago when we first came into T1 again so I feel your pain.

I don’t understand why you haven’t enabled custom private servers so that we can hold our own tournaments within guild and with our friends. Our guild tries to join an empty server with say 8 people but inevitably we end up with pugs and that ruins it for us.

I’ve got guild donation money to burn in the gem shop for this if you set it up as a monthly buy.

Surely there are lots of guilds/people that would want to do this as well?

That gear combination will make Necros gods, hope it doesn’t happen.

I don’t think the rage would be justified. Anyone not bright enough to realize spending 1500g + for their legendary on the TP is just fighting against themselves.

You characters legendary weapon should be something your character earns for themselves. And there should be a reasonable way to obtain it.

Buying things is no fun. Earning them in game is what makes the game fun. When you remove the ability to earn items for yourself, you’ve taken the fun out of the game.

Anet seem to think that RNG makes people happy. Mystic forge and stuff like Black Lion Chest randomness is just a way to make players quit and they still haven’t realised this yet.

I haven’t spent a cent on this game since the debacle that was BLack Lion/Mad King Chests, I and will not spend another cent until they fix this ridiculous RNG BS.

I’ve poured hundreds of gold into the forge trying to get Hunter for my legendary rifle, I’ve had everything else since late December last year.

If I remember right smokee predicted BG to lose by ~50k and considering its closer to 30k coming up to reset, I for one think the match up between BG and JQ is in a good place (even considering the few coverage gaps) I think if SoR can fill in a few gaps and gain a stronger over all presence, T1 can get closer to being “balanced”

@Thiefz Thank you for your kind words. I’m a little all black Asura with Incinerator, I tend to spend my nights frolicking about in the snowy north of the defending BL’s. I’m normally running solo so don’t be to mean :-)

The most balanced time is US peak and JQ is 3rd there so in essense JQ IS being carried by FOO etc. Sanctum has some fantastic US guilds.

Thing is, the only thing really differentiating JQ from BG at this point in time is the SEA>EU timezone gap that FOO fills. KN would fill that void and yes it would mean a very competitive 1v1 (BG vs JQ) in terms of points. I feel sorry for the 3rd server in T1, we were there before, bouncing between T1 and T2 is not ideal. Smash one week, get smashed the next. Still, I miss T2 because in my timezone fights were pretty even regardless of points.

Personally, I couldn’t give two kittens about points, I care about a fun competitive Oceanic>SEA night instead of being zerged down by 60+ JQ zergs without being able to respond. Its just not fun.

The simple answer to T1 balance imo is to merge SoR and Kaineng (Sanctum of Kain? which would probably cause them to win to which I don’t care), at least it would be relatively balanced. Unfortunately that’s never going to happen.

The reason many of us say that we want KN in Tier 1 is because the most dominant time for JQ is SEA timezone, that’s when JQ gains most of their points. Other timezones are fairly even right now. It seems FOO likes to focus BG during that period, probably for the better challenge as SoR doesn’t have a lot around at that time.

War Machine will be a balancing factor for FOO and other SEA guilds. If FOO decide to focus BG like they do so often, they will lose a ton of objectives to WM. Just like if we focus JQ, WM will take a ton of stuff from us.

rallying everyone on your map to wipe a gvg? i agree with red is dead in terms of map strategy, but gvg’s are fun, and can be challenging and a place to try new team comps etc.. plus it builds somewhat of a community between servers and guilds.

Yet when people are GvG’ing and not defending our borderlands, it takes spots from people that are legitimately trying to defend.

To be honest, I can’t imagine Kaineng being very competitive in tier 1. There really aren’t any other tier 1 ready servers. Besides, haven’t people from Kaineng stated many times that they’re happy in tier 2?

Yeah, I look at the game from an Oceanic/SEA perspective because that’s really the only time I play.

I was very happy in T2 too, not a fan of 50000 man SEA zergs, takes a lot of the fun out of it.

I don’t think we have failed miserably in t1 and we’re hardly out of contention this time. Last week wasn’t a bad performance and right now we’re not doing so bad either.

The time BG got to t1 before this I thought everyone on BG fought hard and tried their best. You can’t ask for more than that regardless of the outcome.

I would imagine that many on SoR would be pretty frustrated to see so many SoS guilds pass up the chance to join SoR’s “family” but you cannot begrudge an entire server of people just for being on a server where other people chose to transfer. Or maybe you can, your choice.

But you haven’t answered my question. You have instead engaged in a form of logical fallacy known as “poisoning the well.” BG’s performance history in t1 has nothing to do with SoR’s current plans for t1. You said there’s a super duper top secret SoR plan. I can’t imagine what it would be except to tank the match and play in t2.

Thanks for the heads up, I wasn’t aware you could even do this and I can assure you that as a commander I’d never ask people to do this. I’ll advise them not to do it out of good faith. Though I’d hardly call this an exploit.

There doesn’t even seem to be any proof that this works. The inactivity timer in WvW is very random, I’ve been AFK for long periods without being kicked just standing at border waypoint.

Beyond what appeared to me to look like an even fight, is the fact that these mostly Merc and ND people actually charged the FOO crew 3 or 4 times in the 3~ hours I played this morning. Which leads me to believe they actually thought they could win,

Funny thing is that NOC and MERC wiped the floor with FOO last night about 4 times at Spiritholme against more numbers (don’t think we’ll ever match their numbers) by tactically hitting them from both sides when they tried their usual zerg’n’turtle tactics. The battles were epic, with multiple passes but we always ended up the victor.

JQ SEA is nothing but a mindless number game, I can’t wait to see Kaineng in T1 after a couple of weeks of practice if they can field even numbers. The people saying how good FOO are, are clearly misguided. They’re organised which is good, but nothing special – numbers > all in GW2. No surprises there, but on the the scale that FOO do it, its kinda broken.

Honestly if Blackgate won despite SOR’s best efforts to"double team" I would think SOR would be insulted.

JQ found their swagger mid match, good for them. They played hard and if they win they deserve it.

+140 PPT is the lowest I’ve seen BG have, and it’s at one of their strongest timezones.

Again, the “we don’t quit” is a small handful of BG. The rest aren’t there for your glorious journey to winning T1. SoR’s been in last place the entire matchup and when I logged on at 11pm EST there was a queue in every single borderland of 10-60 minutes.

I am surprised that SoR chose to double team us in Oceanic prime last night though, 6 hours of golem rush after golem rush at our Garrison from both teams was epic fun for us. Thank you.

I think if you’re going to post a recruitment topic you should at least be truthful and/or accurate.

Kaineng’s Oceanic crew isn’t nearly as good as you say, we smashed them every night against much larger numbers. You’re talking about KN owning the PvDoor gap between NA/Oceanic and Oceanic/SEA and SEA/EU, not the Oceanic timezone itself.

Our timezone is about 4-5 hours (7pm-11pm/midnight our time) and our PPT was always higher than Kaineng during that period unless we took the night off.

Don’t get me wrong, Kaineng is a great community and we had some good fights but you need to get your facts straight.

Loot bags are another incentive to zerg, autoloot ftw.

I am an Oceanic commander on Blackgate and the founder/leader of [NOC] Nocturnal Australia, I have to say that if I had to pick any other server for my guild, TC would be where we’d go for sure.

I hope any of the remaining SoS Oceanics/SEA that are considering moving head there.

We’ve only had some SoS guilds on our server for a week and its our third time in T1. Out of about 25 guilds in the BG War Council only like 4 of them are ex-SoS. I think perhaps your vision is a bit bias towards your old nemeses.

BG doesn’t jump ship, ever. Certain guilds may but as a whole we have been more stable than any other server in the game. We’ve dropped from T1 twice with no bandwagoners leaving and here we are back in T1 for a third time kicking your kitten

You can troll all you like, it doesn’t matter to us, we just keep fighting.

P.S. BG is made up mostly of guilds that have been here since day 1, and ex-Ascension Alliance (NOC, Res, CQ, LotD, FoE), most ex-Titan guilds don’t even play GW2 any more or have disbanded. Not that we even think about the old alliances any more, BG is one no matter previous affiliations.
