I like how the new system works, but they have to improve it a little. They should add more options, like 100gems, 50 gems etc… Also add the custom option somewhere on a different tab. It makes no sence to remove it completely.

I started PvPing recently and I have major issues with the downed state. It’s too hard for me to counter it. I’m mainly playing elementalist(D/D) and I can’t deal with people getting in downed state. Some enemy just runs and heals them while stunning/fearing me when I try to stomp them. I tried using “Mist form” and “Armor of Earth” to help me with the stomping, but they are 75 second cooldown skills that only help me stomp players. Most of the time they just heal their allies before I can even finish my stomp animation.

Do you have any suggestions on how to deal with downed players and how can I utilize my downed state?

As far as your situation goes, OP – don’t worry; even if you were running a “rigged” EotM match, it’s not against the ToS. People who say it’s against the ToS aren’t very well read on the ToS.

I think you should read the ToS yourself, since you seem to be unaware that it IS against the rules to fix matches.

We’re not talking about two sides ganging up on the third team, this is a guild attempting to control all three sides at once to avoid fighting and/or farm each other… and harassing people who don’t want to fix matches like they do.

First of all, stop playing dumb. We can see it was you by adding “Banbot” to friends.
Second, it is not against the rules to “fix matches” since he does not have the power to do so. He made the zerg wipe once? Someone else tag up and join his squad. You will see the trolling commander no more.
And third, I have to say, naming yourself “Banbot” sounds stupid and childish. While you make a good point that you did not directly inpersonate an Arena net employee, you pretended that you had the power to suspend his account.

I don’t think they would want to use materials you can trade, so they will probably use the ascended crafring materials. Which leads to thinking if they are planning on making the precursors ascended items.

Or maybe they are making new legendaries and they want to release crafting with them, so the new precursors do not sell for 10000 gold.

I had no problem buying my precursors for my legendaries. No one ever said making a legendary was easy and fun . If it was, everyone would have them. Arena net said precursor crafting is comming so calm your kittens. They also said that it’s not going to be easy, so don’t expect to make your precursor from 2-3 Arah runs.

Most of the stuff covered in the blog you’ve already seen implemented, or steps towards being implemented, however the precursor building (and corresponding additional legendary items) is the one highest at risk to not make it this year.

IF they add precursor crafting, you will still have to sell your soul to farm it up. And do you know what that means? “Oohh arena net pls i have 60 kids and 30 jobs i cant farm precursor. u promised” threads flooding the forums.

You’re clearly not playing your mesmer well.

They are like a transmutation charge now. If you use them, you can change an item without using any transmutation charges. The only difference between them and the transmutation charges is that they restrict you to choosing only that skin. Changing them to transmutation charges will actually buff them.

I think the story has been kind of boring for now. It looks like they are tossing a lot of resources to present a small part of the story. I’d prefer if they gave us the story in text and gave us something interesting to do in game while we wait for next chapters.

I have a sneaking suspicion we need Rurik himself to fix this, and the sword was fully aware of that, opening a portal to the underworld because it is trying to return to its rightful owner. So within the next few weeks we will travel there ourselves to get Rytlock back, only to meet Rurik, who will probably mention the PC’s similarities to the GW1 PC, and help us. Of course this also means we have to probably make a deal with Grenth to get this done, and there’s no telling what he’ll want in exchange.

As a person who enjoys running dungeons with new people, I’d have kicked you immidietly. How would you feel if everyone was playing how they like in dungeons? Scepter/torch mesmer, mace/torch guardian, rifle warrior with sigils only, pistol/pistol thief and you.

If you’re not looking to improve or contribute, nobody is obliged to carry your kitten through the dungeon.

I don’t think you understand how the new LS works. If you log in in the 2 weeks, you will get the LS and you can play it whenever you want for free. Log in now and play it in 4 weeks if you want your bug free experience. I’m fine with buggy, but earlier releases.

So how do you know crafting a precursor is going to be cheaper?

How exactly is reducing one of the key problems in the game a “selfish reason”? Zergs are a huge problem currently, even worse with the introduction of Megaserver because the map (specifically at the world boss waypoint) allows players to come in as long as there is room. That amounts to 60-70+ people per event! Is watching a lag-fest fireworks more enjoyable or “less selfish”?

Thing is, people should not be able to “tour” world bosses. If someone misses one that’s one less player which won’t add to the fireworks somewhere else. If you are doing The Maw you shouldn’t be able to waypoint yourself in a couple of seconds to the Fire Shaman and add to the mess.

BTW, don’t be so sure about ANet not thinking about this idea. We have witnessed in the last couple of months that they are trying to reduce the usability of waypoints, either by making them inaccessible or unusable.

You do realise that there won’t be any zerg, because people would just rather quit the game? As cool as it might sound to you to run on every map like in single player, this is kind of bad for business.

I dunno who likes the idea or not, but I’d gladly pay 20 euros for a mount.

If you can leave them behind with so much swag, you will be the one flaming them.

I have every class to 80 (without thief and necro) geared with berserker and I can confirm that warriors are da best. While it’s true that speedruns are possible only by comboing classes, warriors are the most efficient choice for pugging.

I don’t think that other classes are weak, but I find their traits… lacking.

I just want to immerse myself and enjoy the story as it is, without having to think about getting all the achievements/rewards right away. The achievements would actually get in the way of me enjoying the story on the first playthrough. They certainly did in season 1. Therefore this is a positive change, imo.

Then don’t do them on your first play. You can redo the dungeons later like you would do now.

There is something wrong with your calculation, according to gw2spidy 1g costs only 0.15 USD to buy through gems. So 4900 × 0.15 = only 735 USD. I would say that is well within the affordable range since my new TV costs a lot more than that and I hardly even use that thing. Note also that we are using Eternity, the most expensive legendary, as the example rather than picking an average-priced legendary.

So yes, I would say that many middle-class people have and can afford a legendary nowadays.

It’s funny how you can revive dead NPCs in story quests with your battle standard. For example Agent Zott who got shot in the back and died, and making a sad scene. You can revive him with your battle standard.
