I’m on DH, but I must say I respect you guys in ioj. I have only once had someone do the /laugh at me when i was defeated (3:1 but that is just because I am tanky as kittten). Well after our raid on their Garrison you can call them Baghaven. They eventually retook their garri after their zerg from EB came. It’s like 500 vs. 20 in there.

Filled my 1 × 20 slot and 6 × 12 slot bags with drops from them and 52 badges of honor just defending garrison. It’s was a good time with [HARD].

If your server only help those people who defend your server everyday things might have been different. But some people just go to WvW to get vistas and poi. Not that I am blaming them because “to each his own” but I think you are partly to blame (if you are not helping in WvW) for your demise.

Have you been playing since GW2 release? In 5 months of WvW play I only have 109 badges to show on those first months. But then they increased the drop rates of badges and I have 7k badges on my bank and I laready spent lots of badges to get armors and weapon for my alts.

The thing is, you don’t feel that it is hard if you play the game because you want to play it and not because you are aiming for something like the gift of battle.

I tried to suggest to IoJ a week (or more) back that they should focus more on DH and we could do the same. I was ofc met with criticism from IoJ, and borderline panic from DH.

As it stands now you both are fighting over the scraps that are left of SF, the more you push us, the more we push back (as much as we can that is). So you end up splitting your ppt’s and allowing us to drag you down with us.

But then again I guess I am crazy again….

As far as the PVE’ers, guilds taking vacations, bandwagoners, fairweathers, and any other kittenamamie excuses we have heard go: make it permanent. I would rather be able to depend on a group of people that are here day-in-day-out, rather than see the kind of wild variances that your presence and now absence has caused us. I am not saying make WvW your job, God knows that would be awful. But if you are kitten crying in a corner because of the PPT, or the outmanned buff I would say: SUCK IT THE kitten UP.

It is time for SF to figure out if we are a T6 server, or if we are really a T7 that is merely pretending, IoJ if you wanna play for 1st then you need to push DH and vampire some of that PPT. If you want to guarantee 2nd then continue how your are going. SF can hold off one of you, but not both. Do your jobs and we can do ours, but continue the way you are and get cozy playing 2nd fiddle.

This is not actually all true. Whenever I try hitting DH BL SF will try to kill our BL so I have to go back and defend our own BL. And then when I go back to DH corners SF will hit our corners again so out of frustration/s I will start hitting SF until DH dominates everything.

I just want to remind you guys, I pick DH first before SF but if you guys kitten me off then I have no choice but to hit your side first since you guys are easier to hit in my prime time.

After holding off BOTH SF and DH zergs, and yes they were zergs, for 5+ hours you guys finally managed to bring down our keeps. Congratulations are in order, but respect must be paid to the IoJ underdogs for holding off two invading forces for so long. Good job all around to all three servers. And again, good job IoJ, we did all we could.

People tend to transfer to the strongest server. It’s just lame. We in IoJ, we sticked it out even if we lose week after week. You can join us if you want, but we will not guarantee you a win.

So at 2 am newyork time is when aussies tend to be on? Then 4 to 5ish am newyork time the asian players start to jump in game?
Im from the newyork area and if thats the case then due to work and sleep theres a giant gap of at least 15 hours where i cant help the server when the players from aussie and asia are on.

Yet some people just whine for the next 17-18 hours instead or retaking everything back. RoTFL!
I imagine during the week not many have 17 hours a day of free time to play and take back what was lost while they were sleeping and/or working.
LOL they prob whine from work because they cant be on to play.
Then theres the fact that even though they have 4 or 5 hours of free time after work or whatever they know theres really no reason to bother jumping in WvW to take some of the points lost over the last 15 hours when the werent able to be in game to defend them because it will just be takien back while they sleep or are at work the next day.
My question is …is there ever a time in this matchup where every server is at its strongest at the same time? If that was ever to happen I bet there would be some pretty epic battles.

For me I can play 3 hours a day 6 hours at most. I all use that in WvW. When it’s my time to sleep there will be no commander for around 5-6 hours that’s where everything we capped will be lost.

I don’t say you need to play 17-18 hours. But we all need to have 4 groups with 6 hours shift each and we can get it all covered. A 3 group of 8 hours coverage each is a bit hard as we all know most of us have real life to take care of.

you know…i have to say that when they first came to our tier i really diddnt like IoJ. I dismissed them as whiny kitten ..but upon second glance, i think they do belong here. its like Chumbawumba in this Mofo! They get knocked down, but they get up again…and to kick in SF’s teeth no less!

Furnace needs to stoke the flames..cause they have gone limp on us.

I will say, this is the tier to watch right now.. forget watching the top tiers. Tier 6 is where its at! Sorrow of Dark Isle FTFW!

I am not aware of the exact time but for us in the Philippines it’s -12 hours from US east coast.

Like if 12:00 noon Philippine Time = 12:00 midnight New York

Hey thanks for the props! It is awesome to see as we [ND] are really only a group of 5 that WvW (and I’m the worst of them, so it feels good lol), the rest of us PVE almost exclusively. SF really does just like to zerg, zerg, zerg so small groups need to take it upon themselves to do some work apart from the crowd.

As for complaints about double-teaming, LMAO. That’s the whole point of 3-faction RvR, some semblance of structural balance. The lower 2 team up on the leader, and then turn on each other, keeping matchups from stagnating. This has easily been the most fun tier I’ve been in (on SF), due to the constantly shifting dynamics.

Of course, official and immutable alliance are pretty lame, but the constant scoreboard-influenced temporary alliances of necessity keep things fresh IMO.

I like that all 3 factions represent fairly well compared to the lower 2 tiers. 3 way skirmishes are chaotic and interesting when they happen out in the field, and I’ve seen many more of these since hitting T6. See you out there tonight guys, it almost feels like home here.

Does DH have more numbers than SF during the night? I’m just curious why their areas were entirely untouched in that screencap earlier. I know we hurt on numbers at night, but it’s hard not to look at that and think we’re being ganged up on, between during the day (DH hitting us heavily) and at night (IoJ capping our stuff).

Or I guess another question would be, does IoJ not have as many numbers as they imply over night and only focus target one target at a time?

(I really need to stay up overnight one weekday and see what goes on).

Last night when we were holding on to all of SFs BL, the organisation from IoJ was just amazing, bay would be contested ‘can someone scout bay’ instantly ‘northgates fine’ ‘watergate fine’ ‘south gate fine’ from 3-4 different people.

On top of the great scouting, people were constantly upgrading camps and recapping them, and to be honest, we had maybe a max of 20 people most of the time, not even. Its quality you want guys, not quantity.

And to the people asking why was SF getting focused so hard, its not so much the overall score i was worried about, getting blue was the main objective.

Really? I mean, REALLY? I leveled my guardian from 1-80 in WvW and all I did was use Staff #1. It was boring as hell. But I tag like almost everything in a zerg.

I was STOKED to see the atmosphere in the match up thread once we hit T6. It was like a breath of fresh air after the joke that was T7 match up thread(s). I’ll be kitten if this degrades into the kitten PvF bullkitten the last one did.

I don’t want to encourage server drama and kitten so I’ll address this entirely to SF (with much kittening <3 guys). What the KITTEN did you expect? We’ve been working on server-wide coordination since Tkittening8 and from daykittening1 we’ve been bringing up the insanely crippling vulnerability that is our coverage from (liberally/roughly) 1AM server time – 10AM server time. It was and still is (painfully now) KNOWN that what will halt our tier climb is coverage within that area.

On reset can we rain down some hell-spawned storm? Of course. Can we destroy through the weekend? Yes. But we also have lives, we also have jobs, and those obligations call at the expect time where we don’t have coverage (and this coming from someone that’s up til 5-7AM server time on weekends, 1AM server time on the week days in WvW). We bring the storm on weekends even though there are many server and guild events that run in cohesion (yay coordination) on the weekend. In this tier, we secure a healthy lead, and watch it bleed/die during the nights of the week when we can’t rock the coffee until 2 in the morning.

Does it suck? Yeah. Does it turn off a lot of people for whatever reason so that our primetime during the week is low? Yeah. Is it something we’ve had to experience lately? No, because though we got hit hard at night in all the tiers, we could get enough of a lead in the prime easily to negate those night gains.

Is their an alliance between the other servers and they work against us? Who the kitten cares? They play smart, they are opportunistic. The attack the path of least resistance first as to offer them a strong foundation to attack the competition. This isn’t an alliance, it’s intelligent play and I’d do the exact same thing. IoJ wants second, DH wants to minimize the SF threat. Their goals overlap and as such their actions appear coordinated even though they’re purely self serving. Don’t kitten about it in the forums, please.

Another subject: Skill. Don’t kittening bring it up please. I have fought many skilled that I respect both small and large scale. I’ve also fought many that I was like “omg too much glass shattering” on voice chat. We as a server need to understand our large group tactics, zergballing and such, is nothing to be proud of. Our experience near the end of our stay in T8 should have made that more apparent than anything. Instead of kittening about it, learn, adapt, and overcome.

I’m tired of these kittening complaints. We WANTED a fight. We WANTED to lose. We WANTED to be forced to see where we are weak. And yeah, it sucks that server transfer to our server is so steep and that oceanic crews are pretty much settled for the most part. The coverage gap is a kitten HARD problem to fix…. But even given all that, can you honestly say you haven’t been challenged? Can you honestly say you haven’t had epic fights? Isn’t this what we wanted?

I SERIOUSLY hope that we as a server can continue to HONOR the RESPECTFUL and APPRECIATIVE atmosphere that both DH and IoJ worked to create on our arrival here. Please do not kitten on my parade when it comes to this.

Keep up the good fights and (hopefully) the development and respectful atmosphere this match has provided (for all servers involved). I have nothing but love and respect for all of you on DH and IoJ. I have absolutely no problem taking my time to enjoy this.

Every time I see a post that starts with “To the _Servername_Player” I skip it. You guys wonder why IoJ is quiet on the forums? It’s because you all talk enough. There is no alliance. Just a Harhar Troll guild. IoJ has been struggling long enough to earn a moment of fun I think, rolling from t1 down to this (thanks anet & the transfew debacle). IoJ didn’t work together with DR in what t4? Or was it 3? 5? I dont remember. But we couldn’t come together against the mega servers then, don’t get silly and think we’d do it now with SF and/or DH depending on the conspiracy theorist. IoJ is chillin down here in this tier. Just some bros having fun. That’s all.

Before you take offense, I will say that I appreciate the match up. Don’t mind Starkk. He’s a good lad. And sadly for most of you not on IoJ, Starkk has 99% of the Pacific players at his bidding. Call it pvdooring if you must. I call it “defend more, and stop expecting us to only take the keeps/towers you occupy”. IoJ is and always will be the Oceanic server. Sorry. Just the way it is.

You guys are a blast. Don’t be silly with the server alliance nonsense. There isn’t one. We hit DH just as much as SF. We’re just a little more tactical about what we do as we don’t roll HUDURZURGs. Just some dudes, playing as other dudes, and dudes playing as chicks as real life dudes, that drink beer.

We’re here for fun. I hope you all are too. We’re effing sick of servers with 3x our population. This match has been the best in over 4 months for IoJ in terms of “lol”.

Good games. Have a laugh. We don’t cry about your primetimes rolling our maps, so stop crying about oceanics rolling yours. It’s sad. We haven’t been in first place since January. And we don’t really care. We’re in it for the fun. And this last week has been pretty dang fun.
