and people are surprised why AC and CoF are the only dungeons anyone ever does (maybe some HotW thrown in there with Arah for the sadists).

i did my CoE for the achievement pre-fix and it was a horrible tedious experience all around. they did nothing to improve the actual “fun” of encounters – before the “fix” Destroyer was just boring, now it’s annoying on top of it!

oh, and path 1 wasn’t so bad. that’s one boss you could actually afk-shoot in there (by pulling him to previous room with the chest). took us 15 or 20mins of max-range afk shooting to get him down pre-fix. haven’t been back ever since.

AC and CoF are faceroll dungeons (8 minutes per path by a pug), I would expect something a bit more difficult from lvl 80 dungeon. Before fix, you could go away and make a cup of tea in the meanwhile, is this how harder content should be played? By being afk?

it’s only “8 minutes” if you’re on a turbo-charged skipping mode, and there’s no reason to skip optional bosses or money-dropping mobs.

i do expect dungeons to be a bit more challenging, however, there is a fine line between challenging and tedious. and so far all dungeon “fixes” only made paths more tedious.

if i can’t have a balanced dungeon and instead i have to choose between a face-roll one and tedious one then i’ll take the faceroll, thank you very much.

I don’t know where this hate is coming from!

yes, Trahearne is not a very appealing character at first but he grows on you. he always refers to you as a “friend” and follows you everywhere. in the end, i did feel like there was a sort of bond between my character and Trahearne. although, i had wished it were more personal and less “comrade in arms” sort of way, but it is what it is.

He’s a very flawed hero and that’s the fun part in it, to be honest.

btw, i love his voice and the manner of his speech. i think it fits.

btw, i’m female. could it be that all this hate is just male testosterone hitting the brains for they can’t stomach seeing what they perceive to be a “inferior” male in a leading role? is this all just male ego speaking? that’s my theory…

I did this with a PUG post-patch last night. One person ended up leaving partway into that room, no doubt after realizing that killing the boss would take some absurd length of time. Honestly, it was too long before, now it just makes people avoid the path. It’s a good thing they supposedly fixed path 1, or the only one people would even bother with is path 2.

and people are surprised why AC and CoF are the only dungeons anyone ever does (maybe some HotW thrown in there with Arah for the sadists).

I think “you” are there to kill Zojja, not yourself.

(quotation taken from the Wiki:)
Mysterious Stranger: Hello, Zojja. Recognize me? I’m the one you tried to bully into subservience and mediocrity.
Mysterious Stranger: But I left you behind, and achieved greatness: I am the Grand High Sovereign of my reality.
Zojja: Whatever you call yourself, you don’t belong here. And you can’t stay.
Mysterious Stranger: I can do anything I want. And here, as in my world, the only obstacle to my transcendence is you.
Mysterious Stranger: To become all that I am capable of becoming, you must die. It’s my destiny…and my pleasure.

what I was referring to is the fact that while engaged in combat the “evil future you” will say something along the lines of “It is a shame to kill my old self, but it is necessary”.

that’s what’s bothering me.

One problem with Asura... Tiny weapons!

Totally agreed. Especially daggers and pistols should be bigger cause you can barely see them.
I do, however, see a problem with greatswords here. they cant be bigger becaue some of them already reach into the earth.

the reason it is the way it is, is because asura’s GS is placed lower then other races’.

it gets auto-shrunken to not clip with the ground. placing it higher on the shoulder – just like in other races – would reduce auto-shrinking effect without making it clip with the ground any more then it does now.

Awesome Thankyou i will try it out!

What weapons do you use by the way?

i mentioned that – pow/vit/tou weapons (aka soldier stats).

it’s nice to have cleric’s weapons to complement your cleric’s set and berserker’s weapon (GS) for those few fights that require great dps output (like 2nd encounter in volcano fractal) in case your pug is low on pure damage for that particular fight.

Twill.6217

It’s just the movement prediction going into effect. Normally people strafe and don’t wiggle, so the weapon is designed to aim at where they’re expected to be, not where they are now. Scepter just makes it more apparent because of its slower movement speed. The only way to fix this is to make all projectiles auto-hit, which goes completely against the design of the game.

why is it against game design? don’t other profession’s auto-attacks..auto-hit? doesn’t focus attack auto-hit already?

well, for most people “dps” specs are not appealing because they are “selfish” – you don’t support your party as much as you could be. other professions already have much higher damage by default, so most see little reason to build for that.

never the less, i’m curious to see if there are any dpsers among very high fractalers…

most likely problem is the fact your boons don’t last anywhere near long enough to be viable. it’s a bit pointless to run shout build (boons) if they don’t exactly stay..

i’m at level 40. running with 0-10-30-20-10.
Soldier gear and soldier weapons (GS or Hammer, Scepter+Focus, Mace+Shield)
Knight accessories on easier fractals, soldier accessories on harder ones. Tou/Prec/Pow or Pow/Vit/Tou asscended rings.
Cleric gear with clearic accessories and weapons for Jade Maw.
Accuracy sigils. Sigil of Life on Cleric’s.
Runes: 2xDwayna, 2xWater, 2xMonk (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT) – that rune combination will give you 75 healing/30 boon duration/+20 rejuv

Untilities: stick with shouts but for harder fractals (asura, dredge, volcano) pick up Shield of the Avenger (traited) and Wall of Reflection. use them, love them, they will be your best friends from now on.
at lvl 30+ Jade Maw you must outheal party’s agony with Tome of Courage.

Change female heavy Arah armor back to its beta model

It’s been scientifically proven time and time again that men are naturally stronger than women. I love how this somehow makes me sexist in your eyes. To begin with you aren’t even replying to my argument, mine was about genetics and you retorted with some nonsense about how some women work out while some men don’t at all. There are plenty of women who could beat the life out of me, that still has nothing to do with what I said.

I can already tell you’re a radical so this is the last time I’ll respond to you. I’ll lay one last example on you. You’re saying the boob claw and frilly clothes could be overlooked by you if men also had such revealing clothing, and then in the same breath you go on about how the gaming community is sexist and SOCIETY is as well. See where I’m going with this? If men also had revealing clothes leveling the playing field, then you would have never even considered calling the gaming community sexist. It’s honestly amazing how little it takes for you to put down the entire male gaming community.

If possible could you go quell your anger somewhere else? Take up a sport as a hobby, maybe MMA. Build up that female strength you’re so proud of so you can destroy me and somehow prove that I was wrong in everything by doing so.

Feni, the one who is being radical and rediculous is YOU. Your statements are borderline sexist, and now that you’ve been backed into a corner, you’re trying to cover up your flawed argument by using biology which you know very little about. You are also trying to portray the other person as being illogical, by putting words in their mouth.

No one is arguing against the fact that men are stronger then women. Never ONCE was that said. The area where your argument slips into sexism is where you suggest that women are unfit to fight. Could a woman build her strength enough to fight in heavy armor with a metal weapon? Yes she could. Could a woman run across rough terrain for many miles in heavy gear? Yes she could. Obviously, she’s not going to gain the physical strength of a male two feet taller then she, and twice her weight—but she doesn’t have to. The physical abilities required of a fighter are within the reach of both females and males.

As for the rest of your argument, it slips into angry ranting and childish insults, so it doesn’t merit reply.

This reply is nothing but a bunch of heresy with nothing to back it up. “Backed into a corner”, how so? “you’re trying to cover up your flawed argument by using biology which you know very little about”, you begin by calling my argument flawed while not actually pointing out anything that was incorrect, then go on to claim I know nothing about biology while yet again offering nothing to back it up.

The icing on the cake is the 2nd paragraph. I never once claimed women were unfit to fight, if anything I said they could fight. You claim I’m putting words into peoples mouths while in fact you’re the one doing it, or twisting my words for your own purpose. Then you go on a rant about how women can get stronger if they work out? Something I(again) already pointed out and yet for some reason you see this as putting me in my place.

Toss that ending right back at you, all I’m seeing angry ranting.

On another note I just thought about something. If they changed the arah armor…what else did they change? I know that the tribal gear doesn’t exist in pve, they for some reason removed it when the game launched. I really really want it on my norn male too but anet isn’t responding to any questions pertaining that gear. Basically I’m just wondering if anyone knows about any other gear that was changed like arah or removed like tribal armor.

first of all, thank you Weindrasi for standing up.

Feni, you DID exactly say that women are unfit to fight. it was the exact quote.
now you’re backing out of your own statements.

you know very little about biology. and when it comes to genetics nothing is written in stone. yes, generally women are “weaker” physically, but it is NOT a rule of thumb.
all women in my family are very physically strong. they don’t work out but they possess strong upper body. it’s genetic.

one of my male friends is scrawny by nature. he tried working out, he tried sitting on a body builder’s diet. nothing works, the muscle just doesn’t grow on him. all men in his family are of a similar build. t has nothing with the lifestyle, it’s just genetic.

loads of things are genetic but don’t make assumptions that everyone in this world has same genes as you. humans are diverse species, far more diverse than you think.

Color blind gamer: Issues seeing red circles

Twill.6217

even though i’m not color blind it is still hard seeing those circles sometimes. first of all they are often very big and if your camera is zoomed in they are easy to miss. they often end up bugged inside of terrain (eg, they won’t render in puddles of water). the edge is thin and it being red doesn’t help that much – it doesn’t stand out as much as it could.

red colour is actually not the most noticable color in the spectrum. this is why color blind people have so much trouble with it.
the most noticable colors are bright orange and bright yellow. this is why special safety gear (such as construction worker’s) is made in those colors, as well as resque equipment like liferafts, mountain backpacks, etc.

Why on earth would your future self (or alternative future self) want to kill your old self? that makes no logical sense that’s so ever. it’s a paradox.

That said, Kudu does seem to be the only one continuing with Snaff’s research rather then putting it on an alter to worship from afar. What exactly does Zojja do again when she’s not judging contests?

Except he’s continuing Snaff’s research in a rather perverse/evil way.

And Zojja just sort of pursues her own projects in her spare time. I have to agree that Kudu is more actively building on Snaff’s research, though, even if his intentions are sinister (and that’s why Snaff dumped him in the first place).

evil is in the eye of beholder. i’ve seen “good” asura do attrocious experiments, the only difference between them and inquest is that inquest are open about it.
every asura is dreaming about world domination, they’re just too politically correct to admit it

I still stand by my Zojja theory. with Snaff dead, Kudu is the closest person she has to remind her of dear old Snaffy…

If the wearer holds completely still. Even the game’s physics acknowledge breast movement. With that amount of support, or lack thereof, there will be lots of edges and pointy bits digging into her flesh when she moves at a brisk walk. I don’t even want to think of what might happen during a dodge roll.

You’re grasping at straws. If you want realism, then Human female characters shouldn’t be allowed to wear heavy armor and fight in melee in the first place, since they’re physically unsuited. Or, maybe, Anet should cut our damage in half?

physically unsuited to fight?? are you serious?

would you care to tell that to hundreds of thousands of military women around the globe?

the NERVE!

and coming from a military background myself and sprouting two breasts i cringe at the thought of a metal hand digging into my flesh while i’m trying to disable the opponent or dodge the incoming blow….
..oh the horror.

and again – the argument about sexism is valid here. women should not be objectified, not even in video games. putting male characters in full-body armor whilst leaving female counterparts shivering in the cold with all bits sticking out is so blatantly misogynistic it’s beyond words.
if you wish to play a game like that – there’s Tera. i do not wish for GW2 to go that way. there are already a number of female gear sets that have threaded and passed that fine sexist line….. mesmer “introduction” set sprouds to mind the garnet one with puffy skirt…caster starter set for all light armor professions with corset and mini skirt….that weird light armor set with 2 strategically placed holes in the back of a skirt to bring a rare-view to a player and show off character’s underwear (honestly, who thought this was a good idea?)

enough is enough i say

If this were a talk show you’d be getting a standing ovation from the female audience. That however doesn’t make you right. Belonging to the military has absolutely nothing to do with the difference between a man and a woman when it comes to physical ability. Are you really gonna sit here and tell me that women would be able to swing around hammers and move just as well as men inside the plated karma armor viewed here http://www.gw2armorgallery.com/human-heavy.htm#standard?

Also do you even know who designed the armor in gw2? For all you know it could be a bunch of women. I have a few female friends who happen to really like the “misogynistic” armor you are referring to, what does that make them?

you DO realise that not every woman is built like a toothpick, just like not every man is a meatshield, right? there ARE real women out there who are built like norn with a great upper-body strength. please stop making yourself look stupid and sexist.

as for the armor – it’s not the skimpiness-per-say that makes it misogynistic, it’s the perceived divide between what’s male and female. when males are dressed to ensure power/protection/intimidation in their attire, whilst women are dressed to only ensure the male gaze falls onto all the “right” places, THEN it becomes misogynistic.

if male versions of the said armor were exactly just as skimpy/sexy/revealing then i would probably just shrug it off and not give a kitten about the whole thing.

but that isn’t the case at all!

gaming community, and as you have showed it – society at large – IS extremely sexist. there’s no reason to deny it.

But with the game lacking any sort of feedback when players behave in stupid ways, GW2 is racking up homegrown fan-anger issues at all fronts. You’d think that if all players get agony at the same time, the game could recognize this and play a voicesample telling players that they are doing it wrong.

While spy kits on dredge are a known tactic and i have been using them from about level 10…. are you seriously suggesting that agony on jade maw is not intended and we should be exploiting the ledge bugs? because that can’t possibly be right

in Asura

There are tons of ways to make Asura armor fit their body type and also look just as cool and flashy as the other races armor. True since they are smaller they can’t really have long flowing skirts like female humans, but they can still have cool headgear, shoulders and boots! And the skirts can still have those pretty, layered looks to them. But for some reason when I put a skirt on my Asura it turns into a crappy, paper thin…sheet.

I mean look at this!
To just kinda…this….

While the detail is nice the cloth and trail itself just looks like paper. The human one though look beautiful and layered and all kinds of 3d, like it really has a texture and base to it. Seems like less work to cut the bottom a bit and shrink down the model then to completely remake each outfit just so it looks less…sexy? on the asura. Cover the front? Give her small shorts or something? Tons of options really.

Let’s also not forget that they just expose the chest on some female character armors! Giving them no shirt at all! I mean come on! I get that the race doesn’t really care for the difference between male and female but really? The girls are just not going to wear a top? Maybe I’m just a little creeped out by the fact that my girl asura is running around topless :/ the Charr look like animals and they don’t even do it! Slyvari are plant people and still know the importance of a shirt! It comes off as looking lazy honestly.

This is the same armor set…

That’s just slightly sad. I can make all the adjustments needed to make sure the Asura female doesn’t look ‘sexy’.
1.Rather then the middle of the skirt coming into a bikini like bottom, have it come down to the knee. 2. Pull the middle of the top around to make it a full top. 3. Flaten the chest into just a shirt or leave it as is, just for a flat chested character. Done. Your asura female is no longer sexy, but also doesn’t look like her dress was made for Ellen.

And if you really want to go with the ‘Oh well they don’t do the whole gender thing’ then get rid of the bows, bun pigtails, ribbons, hair clips, and headbands because if the females don’t want to look girly they aren’t about to spend time doing their hair all nice and pretty.

And it would really be nice if I could see my weapons I A. spent money for a skin on. or B. Spent hours crafting..

PS: To those who say they CAN’T make pretty dresses on asura; the fancy winter dress outfit proves that they can. It’s very nice.

you’re not making a fair comparison here. the thing about asura gear is that it is exactly same for males and females. actually, it just uses male skins. just like charr.

i see nothing wrong with that and i know a lot of people welcome it.

i know for a fact that anet originally had plans for female asuran armor versions, however, due to extensive clipping and the fact that all models would have to be built from scratch to eliminate the “sexiness” of other race’s female armor – it was simply scrapped and male models are being used instead.

i love it and i welcome it. it suits the race. while i admit that wintersday (albeit too victorian for my taste) outfit was nice there is actually little reason to have it. asuras, after all, do not conform to human social values. and thank god for that.

there is no need to make every race to have different male and female armor sets. i chose asura for a reason – because i am sick and tired of blatant sexism in my games. i wanted to play a race that puts no emphasis on “girls club” and “boys club”. i don’t want to play a race that thinks there has to be a clear line between “girl toys” and “toy toys”, “girl clothes” and “boy clothes”.

no thanks! i see enough of this sexist nonsense in our society as it is. please let me escape it in the games at least.

i hope you’re joking – staff is by far the most annoying weapon of them all. it towers over me when in combat but shrinks down bellow the top of my head when it’s on my back. a magical shrinking staff! same thing happens with the hammer. it’s not as noticiable on a greatsword but the bug is there.

focus suffers very badly from this bug. i made Flux matrix for my asura hoping to have a very asura-themed weapon skin there… only to be disappointed. not only is it clipping through the hand, it is actually so small it’s almost completely invisible. and when not in combat it clips two-thirds into my character’s side…. completely useless. had to reskin it with fractal skin instead.

will they ever fix the scaling issue? it’s been months!

if only they pinned weapons a little bit higher not only would it fix the scaling, it would solve majority of clipping issues too, especially with big shields. at this time even tier3 asuran shield is clipping into my bottom… which is ironic.

Of course, speed runs and exploits are rampant in many games, so it should come as no surprise these things are happening here.

I’ve done dungeons in both WoW, and Rift. Neither had the amount of speed runs, or exploits that I’ve encountered the last two days of playing GW2. The group’s I’m paired with in GW2 skip as much trash as possible (by simply running through it, and hope it resets), and uses terrain exploits to its fullest.

So yes. This does come to some surprise that people are abusing game mechanics this bad.

Is that because people in those games are less inclined to skip trash than in GW2, or because the dungeons are designed to make skipping harder? I don’t know about WoW, but there was plenty of skipping and terrain exploits in Rift at one point.

no one used to skip dungeon trash in WoW because once aggroed, the mobs would chase you through the dungeon until you’re dead. there was no way of resetting them other then certain class mechanics like hunter’s Feign Death and rogue’s Vanish.
I’m not sure if it changed, haven’t played that game in years.

ugly pearl skin on new weapons

Thankfully we can skin them.

I wonder what the dev meeting for the art team was about the pearl line. “Ok art team, we need to ensure demand for fine transmute stones…”

well, you might have just stumbled onto something there. i find a huge amount of items in this game absolutely ghastly to look at. being an asura and suffering from an overall lack of pixels on my gear skins doesn’t really help in this case.

Jumping Puzzle Feedback [Merged]

The entire of GW2 should not be designed around a minority of players who have trouble. Pretty silly thing to say.

Nor should it be designed around bad design. Timed jumping puzzles on a 3D game with an unstable camera. Timed jumping puzzles in general are just a cheap way to inflate difficulty without adding any actual intellectual difficulty to it. Like the limited lives/insert coin to continue system of old arcade games.

this is spot on!

i find it very hard to judge jumping distances and overall depth of field in this game unless i use specific camera distance (somewhat mid-way between full zoom out and full zoom-in).

making jumping puzzles timed is just adding to frustration.

oh, and that puzzle is also loaded with what i could call “tripping wires”. the places where majority of people will slip off because a platform is slightly tilted, a place where 1 platform’s corner is cutting into another platform so a character can get stuck on it or even bump it’s head against if it’s an asura, etc etc…. it’s all artificial. it’s there to make it more frustrating and more annoying without adding any actual content.

I’d like to have official statement as to what is intended when it comes to bubbles. Is dodging out while it’s been casted intended or not? Is dodging out when it’s not been casted yet (by watching lupi hands) intended or not?

no, dodging out of bubbles – any bubbles, be it lupi’s or guardian’s hammer – is not intended to happen without using stability traits/shouts/skills/etc.

that’s what this whole discussion has been about

i’m sorry you feel that way but a guardian is hardly “perfect”.

yes, they can be built for great support and my own guard is very tanky… but I sacrfice a lot of damage to make it so. it’s all a trade-off.

please don’t think that if you build your guardian for full damage it will be able to survive better then other classes – no, it will be blow away the moment a mob looks at them.

the thing with guardians is – we don’t have much ranged abilities. unlike other professions, we are litterally forced into melee or close-range combat. the only thing i can do from max distance is auto-attack with my scepter for some silly numbers.

if they removed survivability then they have to give guardians whole lotta new set of ranged abilities.

as it stands now – it’s either meatshield or floor rug.

honestly, not everyone is good at jumping.

it is a general rule of thumb that females are worse at things that require spacial awareness, navigation and overall depth perception. this is where all the “women can’t park a car” jokes are coming from.

of course, not every woman is bad at it – a big part of human population has mosaic brain patterns meaning that some brain parts are either “male” or “female” regardless of your actual gender. However, it’s statistically big enough to make an impact.. anyway, lets not get into biology here. lets go back to the point.

i, as a female, find jumping puzzles hard. i find it difficult to measure the distances and depth in this game, and adding timed platforms makes my life twice as difficult.

so, should i be punished for it? why? why don’t i deserve to have fun just like anyone else?

that being said i have completed a major part of jumping puzzles in gw2. even some timed ones… but this one is giving me a headache. as an asura i will often get stuck or bump my head into an edge of upper platform and fall down… 20 tries now. i guess i’ll try it tomorrow….

As a Necromancer, I can roll out of Lupicus’ bubble — with and without my roll trait — 100 percent of the time. The problem for most people is they try to roll out when they’re standing in the middle. Like every single wall ability in the game, they should be standing close to the edge before rolling. That way the roll’s immunity period lasts while their characters are crossing the wall, not bumping into it as the roll begins or ends.

well, as a guardian i have done that fight quite a few times and i can tell you i havent been able to just roll out of that bubble. ever.

i have to hit stability shout before i roll or tough it out.

It’s not actually Stability. From testing, it just seems to bypass this one thing that GL does for whatever reason. I’m not sure if it allows the Warrior to escape from Guardian Hammer 5 or roll through Guardian Staff 4, though that would be an interesting test for anyone who has access to their game to do. For the record, Evasive Arcana works here too (though some report it works for only certain attunements).

yes, it does allow you to bypass guardian hammer (can’t say anything about the staff). we have been crying about it for months, though, as always, those cries fall on death ears.

it’s amazing how much phrase this guy gets. yes, he’s skilled alright, i won’t deny it… but i’ll believe it when i see all classes do it. on video.

saying that “oh, you know, probably any class can repeat it” is just wishful thinking unsupported by factual evidence.

Well, it’s not impossible,
Just very challenging.

there’s a difference between challenging and “requiring everyone to push max dps”.

i’m a tanky guardian. that’s my thing. that’s how i choose to play and i don’t play long enough to have a dedicated glass cannon dps set.

so why am i being punished for my choices? isn’t this game supposed to be about freedom? about choosing what you want to be?

wasn’t this game about throwing off the chains of min-maxing? about getting rid of holy trinity to prevent those “need heal last spot” shouts?

well, no one’s shouting for healer, however, you can’t swing a cat in path 4 without everyone shouting “only accepting true DDs. no support please”.

how is this different? are we getting rid of healers and tanks just so that kids could play dodge style glass-cannons only?

are you serious??

the downed state!?

It has no need to be changed, its one of the best new dynamics added to combat I have seen in the many games i have played. Don’t let the door hit you in the kitten

The way it currently is should be revamped to only have three skills that are all uniform for every character in the game. There should be a ranged attack, a ranged interrupt and a heal. That is all. There is no reason to have different skills between characters. In addition, they should remove any traits associated to downed state and a successful rally should only result in 5-10% health. Those would be massive improvements to the downed state without removing it from the game.

that would break PVE.

getting up with 10% hp in front of a boss will most likely result in an instant downed-state again.

there is nothing wrong with downed state that’s so ever. yes, it is helpful to those who screw up, but how is that a bad thing? we’re all human and we all make mistakes. we deserve a chance to get up and try again.

all these elitist attitudes have to go. find another game if you want to be an uptight jerk about things.

WvWvW Map Completion Shouldn't Matter

in Suggestions

they added wvw map completion in hopes of making a player who wouldn’t otherwise participate in pvp come and participate.

obviously, that doesn’t help anyone – people who don’t pvp still won’t do it. they’ll just stop by to get points of interest and and will never be back again.

Suggestions for WvW Changes

none of these suggestions help or address the issues for a casual player.

if a person without a group wishes to see what wvw is all about his experience looks like this:
- run a very long time to a spot where fight is supposedly happening
- find no one there or hug a zerg
- die a few times, run back from all the way across the map
- die a little more
- complete a map
- logout

there just really isn’t anything to keep people who aren’t familiar with the concept interested, is there? the battles are endless, objectives unclear, people are spread too thin and travel time is bothersome….

communication is not in any way imposed on the player and that means that anyone outside of wvw guilds or a band of friends will have a miserable experience.

wvw was supposed to be attractive to those who wouldn’t otherwise participate in pvp activities. however, i fail to find anything that could possibly attract a player like that beyond a 100% map completion. once all vistas and points of interest are gathered a player like that will never come back to wvw maps. even those who pvp from time to time are reluctant to go there beyond monthly achievement count.
