Sounds terrible.

Don’t get me wrong, I like the idea as it is, very fun and interesting but “traps” are defensive, and in World vs World being the defender you already have an advantage. It can be incredibly hard to take Stone mist when the defending team is set up in the lords room, adding traps would only make it more unbalanced. (I assume?)

depends on your lifestyl. for me night is for slepp nort for gaming. I wake up early so 6 am reset is perfect for me, whole day reset iunstead running on coffe throught night to not fall asleep lolz

problem here is the guild I am in, does missions after reset (3AM my time). This is obviously regarding the main reset and not WvW but it’s the reason I’m not sleeping to get up early for WvW.

It’s massive.

The problem with it is, it sounds like any regular rifle.. which is weird, now I don’t usually complain like the rest of my guildies do about effects on weapons (haha) but any chance for this exotic to sound a bit cooler? more fitting it’s size…

I was complaining about prices being too low. Converting gems to gold wasn’t really worth it until now.

It’s still ridiculous. $50 for 100g? Should be $20 for 100g at absolute most.

If it ever reaches a point where it becomes attractive for a majority of players to start buying & exchanging their gems to gold, it wouldn’t take really long for the exchange rate to drop again. I actually like the idea of having the exchange rate fluctuate a lot more but I think that will take a few extra months before happening.

They get to play a free weekend, they’re not going to jump to 80 in the first few hours, followed by a Tier 5/6 mats farming session. I doubt it will even impact “the market” at all.

What is going on?

We assume it has to do with transferring gold through the guild bank. They’ve been working on that lately and probably made something that auto-blocks people left and right for doing something like that.

But that is just a guess, not saying this is the actual case until some official response shows up. It’s just the only thing we could come up with.

Hi guys, I just recently hit lvl 80 and I was wondering if there’s any certain things I should be doing every day/week to get the items for the legendary. I’m kinda overwhelmed with what to do. I’ve got about… 50 gold saved up. O_O

Some things you can do;
get 500 badges of Honor in WvW
Do world completion
Collect about 500 Glob’s of ectoplasm (do world bosses, dungeons or fractals)
Collect 250 of each Tier 6 Fine crafting material
Do dailies & monthly (karma jugs)
Enjoy the game

There’s more too it but if you can do that you’re at least halfway.

Well, Unknown – did a Mesmer get in earlier? I’ve run with FSU on multiple occasions, and have not witnessed them using any kind of exploits. Hell, let’s get real conspiratorial…who says you don’t have a sleeper Mes in your own ranks?

We’ve had our keep for a while, I’ve been are around plenty of times. I’ve seen these guys at our wall before I saw them underneath the map. I think my screenshot clearly shows their names in a place they do not belong?

Why hello there FSU guild members, I didn’t know this was a legit location underneath our keep.

After some people were claiming our keep (GoM) was under attack we went to check it out, we noticed none of our gates/walls were down but somehow a person managed to get inside the keep. I decided to stick around for a few more minutes and when I got out of the water gate I saw some enemy names pop up (when you get out of water all names around you pop up, a very nice X-ray vision). The funny thing is, when I did this again (see screenshot) the names were underneath the map and it became a lot more logical how the FSU guild got into our keep.

Of course it wasn’t just FSU guild there but that’s the only thing I have to identify any off these FC players, rather than calling the entire server a bunch of exploiters.

Also I’d like the developers to “investigate” their maps more, it has a lot of broken points.

I really wish SAB was going to be back earlier than expected just because they implement hard mode, would be reason enough for me to keep at it.

You’ll probably end up losing money since this is a more regular returning event other than Halloween being once a year. Everyone that wants the skins can still get them by just playing SAB a few days (if casual gamer). They obviously will go up in price when the event is down but that doesn’t mean people will buy them, besides the risk that there are plenty of players that hoarded up their skin drops and will start undercutting each other once the event ends and panic when it gets re-announced again.

I never buy finishers, regardless how good they look. It always feels like a waste. 2g 30 silver for an item that you can only enjoy if you actually finish someone within that limited time? no thank you.

I would try them out if they were in Moto’s vendor of course.

Yesterday we completed our guild bounty and I received a guild backpack as reward. My problem is; it’s soulbound on acquire. Instantly useless because I already have a backpiece from ascended tier on this character.

It would’ve been nice if I had the ability to use it on one of my alternative characters?
Now I feel forced to do guild missions on characters with less gear and hope for a drop that fits the character, the problem there is; I would be less effective in missions, making it harder for the small guild that I am in to complete these.

edit; this is obviously about the backpack’s and the guild weapons. There’s no fun in receiving items you can’t use.

There’s a few “trolling” mushrooms in there, they are more or less the same height as teh one you are jumping on but they are too far away to jump to, you’ll need to go up higher and jump from there.

Oh, there has been some confusion because of the data miners who are mixing up weapons/items you get IN the SAB, and weapon skins you can use in Tyria. The fire sword is only IN the SAB, as are the chain sticks, monkey nail bat, etc. It’s should be pretty easy to tell the difference. But the SAB Fire Sword is the one that I can see why it would cause some confusion.

And yes, you can save your baubles for future releases.

So, the crown is also only in SAB for the king frog? cause the data mined ones had race specific’s. I really like to know if the crown will be obtainable because I had this wild idea about destroying the toad’s jewel instead of killing the toad to get it but yeah.. it just refills the health-bar of the jewel to full haha.

Keep in mind we’ve only done world 1, and haven’t got our hard mode working yet. Things will be getting much more difficult. At some point I think most people will have to use easy mode to complete the game. Those who don’t should get something special. Those who can beat it on hard mode should get something very special.

For the future when giving times, please state what it is that you are timing and what was not timed. If you don’t time the transition phases then this should be noted.

My best time is 11:27 starting when you gain control after the cutscene and not stopping the timer until the frog king’s life is gone and he starts doing his death animation.

Yeah, it would be nice if there were some rules or guide lines for posting times.
So everyone can compare instead of everyone trying to first match the same periods timed etc. Also I think recording should be a must, just for the sake of it actually happened and so we can see that people aren’t going all out on infantile mode, lol.

And having a mini Moto’s Breath animation coming out of it when used?

meh, I think scepter has one of the best main skins, there’s not really that much to complain about unless you’re going to compare it to other legendaries and make a “must have” list for what a Legendary should have, like some people think footfalls are a must? At some point none of the legendary weapons is unique in it’s kind because they all provide the exact same thing with a different skin/animation.

By that I mean if they do add more, at some point every Legendary has a footfall, instead of; only few have a footfall but others provide an body aurora. Not having ALL types of effects on a single weapon makes it more tempting for people to get a second. If you already have every effect people just go for the one they like the most and claim victory.

I do agree though, each Legendary should make a person wielding it stand out a lot more than a regular weapon. Maybe the Scepter should have this Massive pony run along with your scepter swin.. oh, right… No pony’s guys!

It would help a lot if the achievement for collecting every Baubel in a stage, tracked them as you collected them. Right now its always stuck on 0%, and jumps to 100% after collecting them all. It would help if we could see how many Baubels were left in a stage.

There should not be a “5/30 baubles collected” indicator because it makes it way too easy to get the achievement. If you can’t even do it with guides from other people you don’t deserve to succeed. You’re already forced to do zones several times anyway because you need a bomb for hidden rooms, enough time to learn the map.

Some jumps are too tight. Please make this jump a bit easier. I am of course talking about the jump that comes after the two jets of water. Try and not make jumps that are exactly at the maximum jump distance.

The big slam attack of the Frog boss is nearly impossible to dodge, which is very frustrating. Even when you know its coming, it still hits you as you dodge-roll. I think this could be made a bit easier.

It’s fine as it is, if you happen to miss the ruby or just not throw any, you already know he is going to do that attack. Just need the right timing.

Fix the targeting! It is really hard to select the frog boss, or the necklace. And if the wrong one is selected, your character will throw every gem into the ground!

I had it occur once that I selected a normal toad in the background and threw it to it but overall it’s really not that big of an issue. Just swing your stick and you’ll hit the ruby and when he looks around before the mouth animation starts you can click him most of the time.

From my view the only thing to “improve” or remove actually would be the whip’s ability to take baubles out of locked chests with no use of the key. I haven’t encountered any camera problems yet besides the zoomed out-lock one. I can’t say there’s any really difficult parts for me but that’s probably because I am the guy that collected 60+ continue coins even before the event was announced. o_= The more challenge, the better. This all regarding World 1, I assume the high bridge part of the world 2 preview is unfinished, so it looks empty.

And maybe the infantile mode, I think it lacks a bit. Unless it really is just supposed to skip jumpy bits. I think it’s a nice opportunity to teach people the game a bit. Instead of having a gap with a cloud rainbow, you’d fill the gap (but still have a hole) so players don’t die but can at least try and press their spacebar. Or you could make a completely different “practice area” that you access through the hub at the start, like a sort of bootcamp with signs of jump difficulty so people can choose what to practice o_O maybe have some reaction time things in there, dodge practice for king toad lovers.. Don’t know if you (reader of this) ever played Tomb Raider, the old pixelated one from 1996? Nothing in this is much of a threat when you know how to deal with it, and that’s exactly how it’s designed. Bee Dog Queens are also tremendously easy to range to death with bombs or the slingshot, too – the entire game ideology for SAB is “things get easier once you know how to do them”, and that goes for every single enemy, boss and jump.

- We can just use the whip on chests and get the baubles inside with no use of a key. I assume this isn’t intended at all and defeats the point of finding keys.

- When exiting to Rata Sum at the end off a boss fight, it will keep and lock the camera all the way zoomed out, unless you restart the game or go to another boss fight (restart instance) and walk away from it or defeat it.

You made it all the way to checkpoint 1 in zone 1 of world 1? I am impressed.

The masterwork skins are the ones that can be found in the chests while playing the SAB and as pointed out already can be sold on the TP. The rare skins are the ones that you must buy using your baubles and are account bound upon purchase and can’t be sold on the TP

master work skins (account bound) = 1 gold + bauble bubbles from Moto vendor.
rare skins (able to sell/buy on TP) = drop from the cage/toad chest.

Started timing from loading into Zone 1 until killing the King Toad.

What kind of speed runs are we talking about though?

Getting ALL the (achievement) baubles in the shortest amount of time or fastest person to reach and kill the toad?

cause once you get the achievement for collecting all baubles, it’s kinda hard to know if you missed one or two in later runs because you can’t really check it.

IMO WvW rank progression is a waste of time, it’s not adding any fun to the game and it isn’t adding anything really useful either compared to the time you put into it.

Everyone can simply gather/grind points running from tower/event to tower/event so I wouldn’t consider any higher ranked people good/experienced players anyway.

I hope they fixed this but I guess I’ll soon find out.

I’ve been using this as an excuse to finally complete a lot of the jumping puzzles I’ve identified but was too focused on leveling or map completion to pause and finish. My Mesmer is currently stranded naked on a section of rock nowhere near the control panels of Spekk’s Laboratory, and will be until later tonight when I hassle my guild into forming a switch-flipping chain.

You know, if you fall off the assistant golem at the beginning can port you back to the last panel you reached.
