unfortunately most of them dont listen and dont even care what is happening in the map they just see capture 5 ruins and keep doing it until acheivement is done then move to another one. They dont even want to fight alongside commanders.

Not moaning about acheivement hunters just saying it shud have not been there in the first place. If Anet wanted these leagues to be competitive then they shud have let the pvpérs better space for it rather than make it a lag fest and acheivement point hunts.

The purpose of AP in leagues was so that who participated and contributed for their world in the leagues will only be rewarded (correct me if I am wrong on the statement).

And after 3 days what do you see people achieve with those AP? Did it fullfil its purpose? no, How I see it is people are abusing this feature to just get those AP stacked up are they really participating in Wvw league season 1? no, they are not. AP hunters had a lot of content in game to hunt those AP of theirs and get to 10k or what ever their target is wvw players had this only area they are interested in limited with 100 men cap each server. The content that was suppose to be released for wvw players is now swarmed with AP hunters. Dont you expect disappointment among those wvwérs?

yeah honestly I find homura correct in this regard. AP and achievement points shud have never been a part of this league knowing that people are already facing long ques to play wvw.

I dont even know the obsession of people with AP, I have 7k AP but I dont really run after it they just come to me normally while doing stuff I like to do.

Well this is the first league lets hope it gets improved with time.

i can swear there is no alliance with piken, i do not even know someone on this server. The only thing i know, it’s they are respectful with us and they do not hesitate to attack us. Defended etheron myself with arrow cart for 1 hour yesterday vs a Piken army for example. And i did roam all nights versus piken/sfr groups in ruins many hours since the reset. I have many informations and battle reports of all this, no alliance. At all.

Concerning Vizunah, http://www.appelauxarmes.fr was checked 8000 times by 6200 people. 400 people on TS for the reset, zerk mode commanders, and many other things that i missed from old VS. We decided to enter in a total rage mode versus our classic nemesis, SFR. Wemil, Hebril and others bad words/taunts to us made me really strong will for battle.

A week before the league i stomped my fist on my table after reading classic hate and decided to build the mini-site.

I agree with Unknow and all he says. A wise guy.

If you could ever taste double teaming and Anet would allow it for one day. I can bet your ppt will never tick above 100 points. No matter how good any server is there is no way you could win fights and cap points with 100 people against 200 on a given map. That is the reason I say it again and again double teaming rumours are crap.

No it was not, SFr had more points than Piken in the start but not considerably high. We saw the opportunity and we took it. Does not mean we are not fighting VS. Look at Piken BL hills you think we have given it to Vizunah as a gift? We are unable to take it after gazillion attempts coz they have scouts always. as of this moment most of the towers or keeps that are upgraded to t3 are untouched by any server. When vizunah has the opportunity they take our garrison each day and reset it (this has happened everyday. the only problem there is that SFR is not there to try to claim it later which makes it easier for us to defend against Vizunah only and upgrade it to full. So as of now it seems SFR and VS both want us to be second in this MU.

I know many of your hardcore guilds are in que and all but right now we dont see any challenge from SFR and we are working on beating you on the scores to become second in this matchup. Even we have 30 people capping on ruins on BL’s that dont contribute except that we have the bloodlust coz of them.

Yeah it is not double teaming. We are just not able to fight Vizunah and you just cant even fight us. Vizunah focusing both and we defending ourselves and focusing SFR. Also it is a shame that someone in you TS even offered a spy you see we dont even think of stuff like that.

Though I respect that SFR decided not to go for it as I know that SFR can easily spy on us some of our population did move to you and they are friends and have earned our respect who we believe will never be part of such activities.

Because they know they can take it back easily as of the current state of SFR. We are giving them a tough time. Besides it just amazes me when people are complaining about a general strategy as if it is some intentional abuse of the system. Why you see us standing on the side line coz we dont have numbers enough to take anything from Vizunah. Last night on SFR border we took garrison a multiple times from Vizunah but never even tried to defend it when we din have the numbers.

Please post this in living story forum. I am sure PVE’rs do not visit wvw section of the forum. It might just help a bit more if you do that and get our ques back to normal.

You think Vizunah is targeting only SFR. Come to Piken for a few days to taste those huge numbers (not saying we dont have them). It is only that we for some reason are able to handle it better than SFR. Like I said SFR does not seem to have the same numbers or spirit like before the leagues. There was no threat last night from SFR on Piken border but only Vizunah (Not saying we are better than SFR but only about numbers, It all depends at the end of the fight who wins and who looses and determines who did better at a given situation in the given time). And last but not the least you SFR is on top of the EU ladders for wvw what person of VS in his right mind would take Piken as an immediate threat? We were third before and we will end third in this league (hopefully second maybe). We just might take advantage of Vizunah focusing SFR and that is very natural.

Good matchup guys. Even if we are taking a beating from Vizunah atm I will still say I am having a lot of fun. There is always a challenge to fulfill in a fight against opponent servers. However, I am amazed at what happened to SFR, You dont even seem to have the numbers you had before the leagues.

Secondly, I with all my heart will call that double teaming bull crap. You really think people will scheme something like this in a GAME. You see people have a real life and this game is just my part time activity and so whoever thinks upon double teaming as a possibility in this game should get a life as well and get laid. :-p They are thinking too much about a GAME in the end.

I will tell what is exactly happening in this matchup. usually when we get a matchup against SFR before this the third server used to be some low tier. That server was served to SFR on plate for their Golem rush and border land capping. We Pikeneers are barely able to defend our own BL and could not really cap and defend keeps in any other BL. But now since, the third server is VS you dont get to cap in the morning at least till this weekend and you will fail badly because every server here knows how to defend their upgraded stuff and have the numbers to do that as well. This is all of my opinion and not of Piken!! :-)

In the end if you have not been in a position where you are the target of attacks from other two servers as you are seen as the immediate threat by the other servers. if this is the first time you see two servers targeting you and you can not handle it but instead come to forums to crap about it then you dont deserve to be on the top or win this league either.

As a matter of fact there are many on Piken who still dont play for PPT but there are many now who play for it as well. The server is divided on this and no one really prohibits the other from doing what they want. I and my guild play for PPT and good fights. We like to play how wvw was designed by the developers but we have nothing against gvg or people who dont play like we do. We support all kinds of play now.

I’m a little confused. Your mini map shows a heck of a lot of players with you, particularly at NW tower fight. I lost track counting at about 50 or so…. Is this a case where from your pov in the fight it just looked like Piken had more?

Piken does not blob in prime time when we have the highest numbers. trust me we can easily ruin your morale by blobbing in prime time with around 100 players all together with a tagged commander just like AM. No one will ever stand a chance. You shud actually thank us we dont blob when most of your player base is online or you would have never seen any good fights.

that really can’t be helped as the coverage difference between Piken = AM and GH is a lot. And besides in the start of the matchup every one called us a blob server. Which I agree we do but not always. We have a lot of roaming guilds in weekdays. On weekends or after reset it is usually clash of the Mega blobs. It is good to know we had roaming guilds during the week and all servers had fun.

I like the methodical and analytical way in which you determine the problems and accordingly the solutions. I agree with most of them, but I think more drastic changes would be necessary to avoid 1] Lack of Server Balance 2] Blobbing (aka. PvDoor) 3] Night-Capping.

A few other things that make WvW a less fun experience:

• Ascended armour unbalances the real competition, Pay to win
• Upscaling low levels makes them about as strong as an ambient creature, takes about 1-2 critical hits to kill? Instead, make everyone as strong and make special 3-stat armour that doesn’t have a rank, like armour in SPvP
• Bloodlust is horrible
• Skill lagg seriously needs a fix. High end $3,000 pc, you win?

I did not get exactly what you said:
*Ascended armour pay to win = how? you dont spend real money to buy it infact it has not yet been implemented in game atm.
*Upscaled low levels is the player choice to play wvw tbh. Let us say they dont up level and how better will they become than an ambient creature. Although the only problem here is that one upscaled toon in a blob fight dies very fast and rallies half a dozen of enemies that were in downed state turning a winning fight into a loosing one for the whole blob.
*Agreed bloodlust shud be related to dolyaks speed carrying supplies and not any favours in stats.
*No it is not. Skill lag is due to anet servers and not due to your internet service provider or your PC. It is their inefficient servers.

splitting the zerg…pff…a 100 player zerg is always better to have than split-up zerg and small groups doing tasks you can do on the fly-by anyway.

+1 for the small scaled solo tasks. Why do you need it in wvw when the whole concept is to support massive blob vs blob battles. You need to do solo tasks go play pve dont ask for it in wvw.

Open field battles is what makes wvw more fun. We believe in that and I trust my fellow pikeneers to live upto it. Winning or loosing does not really matter to a server like us. It is the battle experience that matters and the lessons learned from it.

Actually this is a very fine example of some one who came from low level wvw server(Vabbi, etc). No matter what you say I am sure it is not very long since you transferred to gunnars. Get to know people around actually join a decent guild and learn how to respect and get respect.

Ohh well in that regard if you have been to a low ranked server they really do not play together. They honestly have no sense of co ordination or playing as a proper guild or even a blob. Over there people only go out in wvw for solo roaming and the mentality basically is to get as many loot bags, exp, karma as you can while you are at it.

So about it either the OP is a real weirdo who has actually followed PS through out those last 5 weeks and been in one of our competing servers to know we have not been able to kill decently enough anyone we faced and have been farmed by other servers ooooorrrrr his judgement is purely based on PPT. I will take the latter as being more reasonable basis which implies that since in this match up we are winning by so many points against AM and GH means that we have been farming like crazy all AM and GH wvw’ers in this week? Which anyone sane enough will be able to understand is due to the coverage PS has and not that all mid tier servers are actually bad. Currently only Vizunah, SFR and Riverside give us tough times in terms of PPT so does that mean that all servers below us are bad in terms of fighting skills? Should we treat all servers below us like a piece of Shet?

Answer is “no” most of the time GH and AM does not even have people on the maps whom we can fight and say we won or farmed them. We just cap most of the stuff and the other servers dont even have man power enough to flip it back. But clearly the OP does not understand that and have the mentality of low ranked server wvw’er or like I said minor in which case I dont mind any posts from him.
