Warrior and Elementalist
Far ShiverPeaks
There is a whole lot of them in FSP. But if you are really into late night raiding you can join some of our community maintained guilds. One of the bigger guilds that you may find raiding almost 24*7 is TT and a community guild is also available FSPG. However most of the hard core guilds only raid during the prime time (Including TT but TT also have open raids all the time). You won’t be bored irrespective of if you join a guild or not. Once you get here you can decide what kind of WvW experience you want i.e. casual or Hardcore.
Why do people forget how much WvW players pay for transfers specially due to the tournaments that were conducted. so many people used gems to transfer around. that is in itself enough for anything around. Every other format of the game got some progression. Fractals is end game for dungeon players and will keep expanding with new fracs. Raids will get added with next LS. LS worlds initself will be added as new content. PVP leagues to renew challenge for PvP players. Stronghold for PvP players. And all WvW got is a replacement. old map replaced with EotM 2.0. As if Anet believes EoTM was successful. A few siege additions and its related masteries do not cut it. give us something on top of what we already had. new mechanics is nothing more than a patch for balancing. We dont like it so we have replaced it with somthing else completely. i hope you will love it and if not stick it up your alley anyways.

It’s a little ridiculous how little detailed information we’ve gotten at this point. I’m not pre-ordering until I know how many maps there are at the very least.
When you guys purchased Guild Wars 2 did you know how many maps you will get with the game? Entitlement is strong in this one. Anet owes you nothing in this regard and crying about it will not make you get it. threatening Anet with your wallet is also not gonna help.
Man you are telling me what each skill can do from that tablet. I said in my first post it has a hell lot of potential but is underachieving. I nderstand placements and skill uses. It was not part of the debate. Atm it is under achieving because of the reason how tablet works. How can you even compare other classes skill judgement with this? It is far from being anything alike. An ele knows when and where to place its water fields/ statics and other stuff. One of my main is Elementalist in WvW and you are just throwing stuff around that is not true to make a point. Will not go into how ele works but since you qouted water fields. Water skill 5 goes down when your commander charges towards the opponents and water skill 3 is used on regroups after pushing deep into enemy ranks. But that has nothing to do with predictability. these are just roles established with a class.
(consider the below as a specific situation as it could all go down very differently in real situation)
Problem with the tablet is I summon a tablet at a location. the commander pushes into the enemy ranks I will move the tablet to the location my commander is pushing since enemy is gonna bomb at their location and I want to condi cleanse. The tablet moves and is slow to reach that location. then I dont know if the commander will come back to the side where we started our assault or move to another location (maybe other side of enemy, left of enemy or right side). So I wait for him to make a move and then I move my tablet. None of the tablet skills are insta cast only projectile block is and the commander is already ready for another assault. Tell me how this tablet moving mechanics are any good in WvW for the pace of the game. As an ele I am able to cast anything I want to instantly where ever I want just by ground targeting and my group benefits from it. The tablet is not an effective/reliable tool because of the mechanics it is operating with. It is like a mule that needs to be dragged along everywhere apart from controlling your own character. I even once spawn my tablet hnear hills and went inside for a fight and recalled it to a location where the fight was and it came after like 5-10 secs which I realised I was not doing anything until it came to the position I ordered it. If you think the tablets can stay in one place and you can bunker that position with your group / guild to win a fight just because the tablet is their. I seriously doubt you have ever played any real WvW to know how it works. Because even immunity cant save a group from surviving a necro bomb. Tablet is nothing compared to that.
WvW good job? How and when. I failed horribly with that tablet. How can you even predict where your group is gonna be to heal/condi cleanse/block projectiles effectively? It is a support stance and fails to do all of that except spawn tablet and use elite to knockback enemies. Few fractals does not justify how horrible that stance is atm. I may have gone too far saying bad in PvE but all it does is show us how slow it is. Maybe perfect for stack tactics and block skills.
Thank you Roy for this update on our feed back. However, I see that nothing really changed about the centaur stance. I know at this time you are tweaking numbers and making Revenant viable according to community feedback but the centaur stance is completely broken with the mechanics it is run by now. Honestly, all those hard tweaks on all other stances even if not done does not make those stances unplayable. The tablet mechanic completely destroys anything a Revenant player hopes to achieve by equipping it. It is really slow for the pace of the combat in this game. Even in PvE. On top of it the Micro management is insane to move the tablet along. I genuinely believe centaur stance has very high potential for PvP and WvW formats. An honest opinion of how to make it worthwhile is that let the tablet spawn when you swap to the stance and let it follow the player around. Skill 6 can be then used to move the tablet to a location for 5 secs after which the tablet returns back to the player and follow him around as before. This is seriously going to make it a real option in any format of the game. Other wise it is just gonna be like thief traps which never get used in the meta of any gameplay format.
As far as I could remember taunt was suppose to make the taunted character run towards the you and attack you with their basic attacks. So far I have tried it in WvW and none really ran towards me. They were all slowed but they could run anywhere they want. Is this bugged? or was it intended to be that way?
Note: dont try this on AI and tell me that it works perfectly fine as they would usually run at you mindlessly even if you dont taunt them.
Sooo they added weapon swapping to revenant and also while invoking a legend you can use your skills make the revenant match the guild wars 2 fast paced mechanics. making it less sluggish.
Yay for one of the points highlighted above to be nullified.
well jalis elite protects 5 people reducing dmg by 50%. he is like a walking talking flame ram skill 4 lol. but yeah the limit of upto 5 players must be increased for that elite skill. Maybe you are talking from a lot of pvp perspective and there revenant is really weak more than in WvW. I should have clarified that. The sets of skills Jalis has are okaish for WvW. Offensive part I mentioned was that utility skill with whirling hammers. its constant dps on enemy even if it is low dmg. However I would like some cc to be added to that utility to make it even better if they do not want to increase the dmg numbers on that skill.
Getting AoE protect and aegis from my personal perspective will be too much guardian in Rev. But yea it will turn out to be good if considered.
And Yay for getting my reference!!!
(edited by UnknownRH.4592)
Hello everyone,
This post is directed towards arena net and ofcourse to my other fellow comrades for my review and feed back of the first impressions I got from getting my hands on the revenant (finally!!!)
As many other posts have identified that the revenant felt a little too low dps for good use in any game format. However, I will not go in that direction as none of the legends released at that time were high physical dps based. I am gonna give my review of the class for the legends that were available to us for use. My review will be heavily based on jalis and Ventari legends as I am mostly a WvW player and Mallyx is something that did not intrigue me to test and be able to review enough. Also note as much as I like a lot of things done with the class this is not a praising post for whatever is right with the class. I will point out only things that I feel can be tweaked or changed to make the class work better with other classes or in certain formats of the game. So here it goes
Ventari
The ventari tablet seems like a very good addition to PvP and WvW based formats of the game. A good self sustained healer who will spray out heals and condition removals to allies. It goes with the staff which is insane healing if used with Magi stats. however the mechanics of the tablet where you spawn the tablet and then have to order it to move around the map along with you seems off compared the the fast paced combat mechanics we have in guild wars 2. The tablet seems slow in its movement through the map and does not fulfill its purpose unless you predict where you will be moving or your group will move at a certain point and land your heals and condi cleanse on those spots to be effective. It seems to fail the purpose in any WvW or PvP format for me. Maybe in PvE it will work as the opponent is not that threatening yet. As a revenant you have to consider your movement around the map with your commander or team and then you have to move the tablet which usually takes its own time to reach you or your team and then takes its own time to cast utility skills. I think the developers should reduce the time for managing the tablet around the map
Suggestion
I would like to see the tablet getting automatic tag along mechanic with the revenant as first priority solution. If not then atleast increase the speed of the tablet to make it more effective for use. or lets say make it blink to the location of the cursor. It will make the revenant more effective.
Jalis
I liked this class a lot with hard tanking utility and offensive mechanics to keep pressure on the opponents. only thing that Revenants fail to deliver as a heavy support class to be even considered for use in WvW or PvP format is blast finishers. the only weapon that gives some kind of blast finishers is on Mace (3 blasts in one skill = overkill :p). But mace (heavy condi based) did not seem like a weapon that would be handy over a hammer. However some kind of blast finishers if introduced on hammer will mean a lot for the class to be viable atleast in WvW format. the revenant needs to fit in melee parties and as much as I appreciate the stability and the elite 50% dmg reduction Jalis legend seems to be some kind of self sufficient play style without any synchronization with other classes providing no good fields or blasts.
Legend invoking
I observed during my testing in beta that the legends invoiking (switching between legends) has a cast time. It is not very significant cast time but is felt when you are like “comeon switch already” running in your head in the heat of the battle. Also note that the revenants do not have weapon swapping. this quick utility swapping should compensate for that and is not exactly like the weapon swaps. Weapon swapping is instant witout any delay unless you are lagging. Really….really ….baddd!!!! (SS reference if you get it). I would like this to be spot on like weapon swaps.
Finally
I will say it for both ventari and jalis legends are focused on group play with a lot of utility for the party a revenant is in but not providing anything that absolutely would want you to take revenant in replacing lets say a guardian or a warrior. The utility can still be of great help as long as the revenant is around and party less. blast finishers healing, might, stealth and speed stacking is what makes a class important to be in a party. Which a revenant lacks as of now.
I hope this helps Anet in their vision for the class and ofcourse to open discussion with my community here.
The only misinforming people here are the usual suspects spouting of marketing hype like it´s gospel.
My information is DIRECTLY from ANet as I´ve eagerly watched the videos of every beta event, which showed different parts of the same map.
Heck, the last one even had the center part impassable, as it was “the heart of the jungle”.Here´s a little life lesson for you fan-atics.
When somebody is selling you something, but won´t show you the whole deal.
Odds are good you´re gona get taken for a ride. But don´t take my word for it, just wait till you´ve seen the finished product.
Oh well.
Too late already for some, you already per-ordered. Might you even be in this thread accusing me of lying? Who knows?
I will try to keep track of your game name so I will throw the pie back in your face when you are proved wrong.
I honestly hope at some point Anet stops subscription free MMO titles then the OP of this thread and every little piece of **** who are pooping here and there on forums will know how to compare prices.
Yeah, since the subscription model is so easy to pull off successfully nowadays…
What kind of argument are you making about this? You think Anet is not capable of making subscription based games? Also many of us would not even be playing this game if it was subscription based.
Warlords of Draenor came out last year and it was not even playable for the first full week (I quit that game after that). I bet it is still being enjoyed by million of players. If a crappy release like that can be subscription based why cant Anet’s any game.
I honestly hope at some point Anet stops subscription free MMO titles then the OP of this thread and every little piece of **** who are pooping here and there on forums will know how to compare prices.

With all the crying we have had over the announcement of re purchase I suggest for all old buyers of the standard expansion pack give an extra character slot if they already own the core game.
That way new players will get the base game + expansion and old players will get character slot + expansion. Win win situation I think.
Every thursday they are putting out a blog post for an update on HOT or and game changes. So….you get the idea.
So the big announcement this week on Thursday was that there will be a big announcement on another date. Well played Anet well played!!
Lol when they added it people complained and when they removed it people complain. Internet being internet.

1. Reaper
2. Chronomancer
3. Dragonhunter
4.
5.
6.Tempest
7.
8.
9. Druid
I’m not looking forward for my main to be a Druid. Then again we really don’t know anything about it, but it would have to be amazing for me to give up my lb/sb.
People who loved rangers will never run Druids. Because I am hoping it to be a very different style of play from Rangers. Rangers High DPS role and Druid is I am expecting Support role. However, on the other hand people like me who hate Ranger class might give a try to the druid as I have been running elementalist before this.
You know how a shout warrior uses shouts for their 789 slots? The way things are going now, that’s soon going to be 67890 and you’ll never see one with signet of rage. Same way signet warriors will always use healing signet, and signet guardian will always use signet of resolve. Shout builds are probably only going to use shout elite and heal skills. Same with the other skill types. As of right now you would be crazy to choose skills from three different categories, I’m afraid that soon the game balance will be set that you would be crazy to pick anything but all signets, or all shouts, or all traps.
What I dont understand is why are you isolating a single trait line for your example? If a warrior takes 3 specializations which have utilities signet, shout and (one more) you can still have a healing signet on your 6 with 2 shouts on your 7 and 8 and then signet of dolyak on 9 and signet of rage on 10. And guess what your trait lines support your utility and elite skills as well
You will not be able to choose traiits that are irrelevant to your build (skill choices).

I do not agree with OP or anyone who opposes Anet stance on this. While they might have dumbed down for the time being our choices to build diversity in terms of trait. 1 you are getting traits that actually make sense and builds that can be called something (Specialized in Fire, Air and Water in the case of an elementalist). I know people like to spend points like Alerno said 4-4-4-2 but really what sense does that build even make? half of those choices were just to get all stats related to the trait and a build that is without a single GM trait is absurd. However, it is not my place to judge it in anyway but you have to look at the bigger picture. Anet said they are laying the foundation for the direction they want to take on build diversification. Atm the choices seem limited in terms of build diversification (It is still much more empowering than the old system as one trait gives two effects in the new system and being able to choose 3 grand master traits) but with more elite specs churning out later I dont see diversity having a problem in anyway. lets suppose with the old system intact and new elite specs joining us after the release of hot, imagine the horrors of build diversity when people will spend points in all core specializations + elite specs of 2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2. Do you want noobs running building like that and calling it freedom of choice/build diversity. They will hurt WvW and they will definitely hurt PvP a lot. PvE as long as you dont die it does not matter and in dungeons you can vote kick people. Its just on HoT release that we will get 1 extra specialization each class (which is a lot to play around with and overhaul the meta of this game). Just stop whining and see what comes next to keep us hooked.

Whoever made that calculation can not be 100% accurate. Coz we do not know yet how much boost armour and trinket stats are getting to compensate lack of stats from traits. However it will not be too different but 2% -5% increase in dmg is still viable
I WOULD PAY CASH!!! Many others would too.
I confirm the cash part. I will probably pay to. I already pay like $20 – $35 per month just to support this game. I should probably stop that until they give us GvG and then I can let my pockets loose.

This is a boost to celestial builds. You can use celestial armour and a mix of celestial / zerker trinkets and still churn out good amount of DPS coz you have healing power which in return gives ferocity. A full glass cannon elementalist can achieve power of 2500. You will have less power lets say 2300 or something but ferocity can go as high as +200%. Right now if I use a build 6-6-0-0-2 for staff ele with full celestial armour and zerker trinkets I have ferocity 197%. Now imagine with everything the same what I can achieve in terms of ferocity with this trait. Yes I will have reduced power, precision and crit dmg from before but I will get more tankish stats compare to before along with a boost to ferocity.
The guy who is known for drops racial slurs and trolls on the other forums comes here and tries to make a business pitch, like 800 viewers is some big thing. It’s not. Not to mention how everything about this scene is toxic, ANet can’t get any reliable publicity out of this. GG, Mr. Big GvG Thought Leader-San.
You deleted one post to make another with the same exact message. Or perhaps you didn’t delete it and ArenaNet did it for you. Perhaps you missed the message that your personal attacks on the person trying to raise a valid, productive pitch aren’t welcomed and are being punished with infractions. The world may never know.
This is just a personal attack. Dont take this guy seriously.
+1 to OP. I would really appreciate if Anet looks into this finds a way to give the community some driving force towards this.

and be sure to check back regularly as we will continually reveal new details.
Yeah that there just insults the loyal player base. I have been scouring the forums and official website since expansion announcement. For last one month I have stopped visiting anymore because Anet is kittenedly slow with the reveal info. Information is not even being churned out weekly. this week what we have is some contest to win bumper prizes and world tournament :/
All of this just looks like an excuse so they do not have to churn out more resources to develop the expansion. They dont give anything in game and use the current team to work on the development of HoT. I wont bother until they give us an ETA for the release.

To OP:
Nope looks like Anet will shove down are throats a recap of the LS that majority of players have played. I think I might be giving up on this.
This aint coming any sooner.
Ohhh the ideas here. All this speculation.
The OP post is kittened since this is one of the things that is gated behind the expansion I would expect it to be readily available for me to use when I log in to whatever amount of $$$ expansion I get.
I dotn think you will have to go to the trainer either. You will be able to swap specialization out of combat anywhere and anytime. But yeah maybe the first time will be something you will have to pay for with in game currency. That gemstore speculation cracked me up completely. Anet maybe horrible in some things but they really know how to conduct business. I love this game and I trust Anet to make the right decisions.
“My card is direct X 12 ready.”
As the title of this thread states. I wanted to reply simply by saying Guild Wars 2 is not yet ready :p
Have a good day,
Thief has a lot of gap closer utility and with f1, signet to shadow step to target and shadow step itself used both to get away and get close to target. If rifle is the new weapon for thief it will be interesting to see how they rework thiefs traits, utilities and f1 skills to sync with a long range dps role for thief. If this is the amount of diversity we will get with professions I would love that. Besides I was personally inclined towards a GS fro thief as I really want to see my Belinda GS skin on my thief working like a ninja
but oh well maybe in some near future.
Would have loved if Kodan was playable. But ohh well what can we do.
Maybe?
We do know that they did hire raid designer quite some time ago. Along with some major work on AI.
One could also read the Masteries unlocking daily Champions for Rewards as potential raids, I suppose.
Time will tell.
They did hire raid designers I agree with that. But Anet philosophy has always been to implement it in their world and never as an instance. Maybe those people are raid specialists but would work on something new for the game. Proper difficult and hard content rather than just mash the 1 button on all world bosses. Only time will tell I guess. My guess will be raids are not comming to GW2 but maybe something similar is.
Snaff ability 1st slot:
Suicidal Charge
Charge forward 400ft with bravery. Upon reaching destination (or any enemy target), explode for 86dmg. Inflicts 110% HP self damage. Also causes nearest human male ally to run in fear (effect only breaks in presence of Queen Jenna).
XD I am going to share this post with my guild
What about the sides of the screen? Why is it blacked out? Is it because they were not that ultra widescreen pics and to cover the side area will require the loading images to be stretched out?
I am hoping an update to loading screens all in all as well. Because this looks bad.
HoT pre beta has started people xD
Looks like we buy it or not but we are definitely testing it hehe. Or rather tasting it.
Though I still love the idea of OP about the mats collected from tyria for level 80 characters should be area dependent rather than level. I mean if I salvage goods collected in queensdale they should give me tier 1 wood, metal, leather and cloth even if my character is level 80.
Holy freaking hell some of the posts in this thread. Some of us dont even have a clue what dueling stands for and just saying no PvP in PvE area!!! Have any of those people ever played another MMO. Dueling is not a gank mechanic where you are doing some PvE stuff in Tyria and a thief sneaks up behind you and backstabs you to death.
Both players have to agree to the duel (One invites to a duel and other has to accept) and it starts with a green light that they are good to go. If you do not wish to duel another person you just decline the offer. No one else is able to interrupt the duel as they are not invited
. Also it saves time to setup your builds in PvP and also load 2 – 3 times to get into HoTM and then into a PvP empty server to test one another and friends. With this you can simply use your PvE builds and test how much dmg you can do by lets say meteor shower a heavy, medium, light class with a specific build. People here just need a reason to cry. Dueling is a feature and not an annoyance.
GvG is not a majority feature.
GvG is not a community friendly feature.
GvG is not fun [for 80%+ of the community].
GvG is not what GW2 is about.
Edit: OH, and another thing. WvW isn’t strictly PvP. If you want strictly players fighting players, you’d go into the Mists and queue for sPvP. World vs World is about worlds fighting against other worlds for the most points/control of the map. That doesn’t prevent the inclusion of PvE objectives. Quite the contrary, they are fully included in that. World vs World is a matter of this world trying to obtain the strongest bosses, build the strongest walls, set up the hardest hitting traps, and getting the biggest lasers against the other worlds. That is how they dominate. That is how WvW is designed. In fact, originally the EB JP was part of this in that your team could block off an enemy entirely from getting to it because the entrance was inside keeps that could be captured; that was to prevent enemies from getting the siege in there.
Lol so much hate for GvG
.
GvG is not a majority feature. = agreed
GvG is not a community friendly feature. = I disagree. I can bet you have never done a gvg in your life and have no clue what you are talking about.
GvG is not fun [for 80%+ of the community]. = Only uptil the time GvG happened on borderlands and those guilds din play for PPT making their server loose on that border. Now we have OS dedicated space for GvG (Not so dedicated though). You only think its not fun. There is a whole lot of people who love it. And majority are commanders from GvG guilds you so much karma train around when in WvW. Take them away and you got nothing to drive your PPT in prime time.
GvG is not what GW2 is about. = maybe. What then Guild wars stand for. If that is based on some guild wars in GW1 and not these guild systems we have in this game. The name should have been changed to something else clearly defining the two different eras / timelines in Tyria. First was guild wars and second is something else I dont know Rise of Dragons or something. What does my guild represent in this game if there is no system of competition and leader boards to know where me and my guild stands in the game. You think stronghold is gona cover that? 5v5 representing a guilds skills at combat and coordination just insults my judgement. If this is the max format of competitive leaderboards we will get then what the hell are the rest of the people in my guild for? PvE? pfff which we do once a week for rewards lol. Dungeons do not drive this game at all except if one needs gold. They did not update them regularly or bring new ones. only living story which is soloable.
I followed through this whole post and will not reply to some specific person but in general to all of you. Someone said guild who do GvG are in minority. Well the best way to see that happen is if the developers give us a way to go through this process officially. Personally I believe if GvG which is created by gamers is introduced officially by Anet it will kill the WvW format of the game. Tell me How many commanders you have on your server who are not in a GvG guild and open tag like half of the day. Atleast on FSP (my server) where we have atleast 10 plus guilds (big or small) will not play WvW if this format of GvG is offically delivered to players from Anet. It will hurt WvW a lot.
So people here also say that this is not the vision of Anet and was only a player driven thing which Anet do not have to comply to. I agree with this and they should follow their vision of the game and drive it where ever they want wvw to be. This new borderland feels like EOTM 2.0 but with some more plays. Where EOTM eventually turned into a farm fest and one blob to rule them all format to level up characters. This new desert borderland feels like a more objective driven borderland. In order to take down larger objectives you need to co ordinate multiple groups to deactivate a keeps defences by taking over its shrines by a small group and larger group be at ready to smash its walls or doors down to cap it. I am hoping this will change the current zerg fests that plague WvW. Which was eventually what transformed people into creating their own driven format of WvW which is GvG at this time for some quality fights. But again my concern with this new map will be how difficult will it be to cap bigger objectives. How much siege placement / How strong will be shrine buffs / how many places to approach a big objective (Walls / doors that are attackable) and how strong will be siege for attackers will sum it down into a good or bad experience for WvW players who play how it is meant to be played (Anet format of the game). I mean will this new map be eventful where you will have this rush of battle and constantly tides changing or will it be so hard to take keeps that for the 2-6 hours I spend everyday in wvw will be just to try and take an objective off enemy and PvD to no avail with enemies sitting like ducks in their prized upgraded objective. Saying at this time it is fail or not is foolish. No body know how many people will actually like this new objective system.
Now back to GvG created by players. I was actually excited when they said Stronghold will introduce GvG to GW2 on the announcement panel. But it all shattered when I learned it was just another PvP format and is taken from the GvG format of GW1. Found that to be too good to be true.
I think the only reason they have not introduced bigger format of team death matches is because they dont have a raid like party system like other MMO’s. Where there is 1 raid leader with tag and there could be 10 parties of 5 people each to know their current status. GW2 currently does not support parties more than 5 and queing up for a match of lets say 20v20 will not be possible with the current party system. Not saying it is hard to do something like that. They already have squad chat in game and join squad option. Which can be used as a basis for queing up for GvG (TDM Player based). Hell we even have an area in OS for GvG but is plagued by randoms who can enter at will and disturb fights between 2 guilds.
I for one love GvG as it makes you better in co ordinating your attacks as a group of individuals working together to become better. If Anet does not want to yield to customer demands its ok because it is their product. I also do believe intorducing player based GvG format will mean Bye bye to WvW by a lot of guilds. atleast in primetime when guilds raid they will not anymore and will just GvG when they have their max strength of players online.
I dont understand OP either. Who are those insta levelled 80 revenants going to ruin experience of? and in what game content?
PvP? Well everyone will be bad at first matched against any old classes? I dont see anything different here.
PVE? Well the time it will take you to level a revenant to 80 through questing and map completion is what you expect to be the actual learning curve right? By the end of it you expect yourself to know the ins and outs of the class and moderately understand how it works. Let us consider for the sake of arguement I will level my revenant to 80 instantly and jump into the Maguuma Jungle. How long do you think will it take you to level 80 by normal means? lets take 1 week as an average. By the end of 1 week you will still be bad as you just unlocked everything on your revenant and I did it from the start. I will have more experience with everything the revenant is capable of where as you will just start to see the synergies of different traits and skills after 1 week. Besides You will level your revenant in Tyria other than Maguuma and I will jump directly into Maguuma. You and me both do not cross each other in anyway. And if you are worried about failing quests in the new areas due to revenant. Well lets say there are no tomes of knowledge in game at start of the expansion release. Majority of people will want to level a revenant and only a few will go to maguuma with their old characters. They are bound to fail anyway with or without revenants if developers agree on what you suggest.
Last WvW? good guilds wont allow majority of their players running revenants as everyone will want to but if all run revenant the party composition will be affected specially for melee. Only randoms will run revenants as they are not controlled by any guild rules etc. You still have many uplevelled run in wvw and can consider them as one fully geared level 80 noobs. :p
So my question do you still have the problem with power levelling?

iam playing this game since beta.. and i dont remember my game ever crashed.. i got a lot of DC.. but never crash.. if u want more fps.. u need to get better GPU.. basicly any intel quad-core CPU is enough and more cores or OC will not give u more fps..
I have i7 4.5 ghz, 16gb ram and GTX 780. Not the best but still powerful enough to run Archeage (based on CryEngine 3) at 140-150 FPS. And on guild wars 2 max I have gotten ever is 100fps in low populated environment of the game. This is bullscrap because the game is 32 bit which only uses your ram up to 4gb and is only compatible with Directx 9. Archeage is compatible with both DX9 and 10 and also 32 bit and 64bit options. I dont know why this can not happen in Guild Wars 2. Ofcourse it will require time and resources but its something many MMO have done over their life. Its not about kittenty PC or good PC being able to or unable to handle the game. If they update the game engine all moderate and high end pc will be able to make use of it. moderate pc will not drop to 5-10 fps in big zerg fights.
wow, this is still going. that’s some serious dedication to an internet argument about a videogame class that will never happen.
just… wow.
Yeah exactly. And once these guys have established what a golem and golemancy is I would like you both to argue about who will win? Batman or superman if ever pitted together. I know there are references of batman beating the kitten out of superman. I just wanna see what you two lads make of it.
I think taunt will have a range like any condition depending on what skill you use to give that taunt effect. Like warrior flurry is melee range immobilize and elementalist earth skill 5 is a ranged immobilize. I believe in some cases you will have to be really close to that ranger to actually give him taunted effect than he has to be to attack you from lets say a wall. There has to be such limits to the use of taunt or it might just be a little too ridiculous of an effect. A taunt could be a war cry skill where 5 enemies in 300 range will simultaneously run towards you and use their basic skill to attack or it could be a directional skill in a line where first 5 enemies hit will get taunted towards you. But to make a condition like taunt be effective from 1200 range will be too far stretched. besides how long do you think will taunt last for some enemy taunted from far far away to at least get to you and be doomed for life. I can see taunt lasting max for 3-4 seconds not more than that.
I’d like a one-handed bow and a two-handed dagger then, please.
how the hell does someone one hand a bow?
Crossbow
If FSP keeps landing 2nd in all MU against Gandara funny thing will be they will still be sharing the second position with either PS or AM. How flawed is this league system.
Predictions:
1. Gandara (No Doubt)
2. Far Shiverpeaks
3. Gunnars/Piken
Though I think Piken is still stronger than Gunnars. But Who knows we pulled our selves out of a very tough matchup and gained lead on Piken in round 1. Who knows what Gunnars is capable of.
All is so disgusting that piken’s guild let the server fall into Silver league – This is the spirit of competition?
No one let Piken drop to silver. They lost 5+ guilds. They dropped down naturally due to being much weaker.
They did drop intentionally and the guilds that left Piken decided to play in an actual silver league server rather than a server brought down in morale. Piken has never been home to PPT players and it will never be.
:(
Such monstrosity.
