You guys don’t seem to get that the gobbler will fail after halloween, unless you buy up thousands and thousands of candycorn now, it will cimb in price absurdly fast once the event is over, so you will be paying more and more gold to keep using it. After halloween it will slowly die out until next halloween when candycorn is once again EVERYWHERE.

You gain “on weapon swap” effects when you roll through attunements, so say you switch from fire to air in combat and have battle on, you then gain the might from the sigil.

OP you’re just screaming " i want more loot". You get plenty doing map, as you have had pointed out to you. Loot/karma/hidden chests/xp/skill points/xp/gatherable materials/skins/gold. Sounds to me like you have a case of "little emperor syndrone “more more more”. Quit being a spoiled brat.

No, you want map completion, you do it, not buy your way out of it. This is a silly idea because OP is clearly bone idle. thousands of people have done map, it shouldn’t be changed, just because some people are lazy, and used to buying their way out of doing things.

Why under the ENGLISH language, on the EUROPEAN servers, is the LFG tool language of english next to an AMERICAN flag. It’s EU servers not US i play on. I am English and speak it, I am not an american.. Seriously anet please fix this.. it is a grevious mistake… I just don’t understand how you think English language = USA flag. Srsly….

Hey, i main ele. WE do NOT need sigil changes.. We gain the “on swap” sigil bonuses when we swap attunements. (Atleast it works for sigil of battle). And all other siglils are basicly worthless anyhow. If you’re going to suggest changes to a class OP can you make it something non kitten-ed?

Ele makes up for lack of weapons in diversity within the sets we have.

OH and the cooldowns are fine, I never sit in wvw/Fractals thinking “darnit if only the cd on this skill was 20 seconds lower. OH woe is me”

I roam 90% of time I am on GW2, I play a d/d ele ALOT of that time. I pick my fights, I do not believe in “honourable duels” in open wvw, nor will if i can see you have the upperhand, give you a chance at killing me. I will simply bait you further with my “running” to 1 or 2 guildies i know LOVE to gank, and we will thus proceed to do so. IF you want to play a game where people DO NOT run, play spvp/tpvp. Not a game mode where the idea is tactical fighting. And then we would probably jump on you, for being so silly.

Hiya, recently been looking for a guild to explore pve content, been playing wvw/fractals since release but i havn’t really touched dungeons, i main guardian but have ele fully geared too. 50ar and whatnot. Anyohow i’d be looking for role as student as i’m still a noob in regards to dungeons/speedclears/high end fractals. would be looking for a solid group to learn/play them on a regular basis with as am farming for #2 legi (my hours are irregular based on silly changing work hours but i’m usually on 9pm GMT onwards.

While i’m not at that level personally, i have fully geared ele/guardian/ and am also looking for an EU fractal guild, Guard build can be switched but when pugging i usually get asked to run clerics, sitting on 50 ar as i cant get armor cause need my sunrise. my level is 39, as i came back to the pve side of this game recently after a long break.

Would rather guild nto be 100% rep, got personal level 39, 50ar(cant go more as saving for legi #2) main a guard but also have ele geared for them, would like to find eu based guild with a non 100% rep rule as i lead a wvw guild. want to have a party to do fast nice fractals runs with pugroullete is no longer fun. can use ts3/mumble etc.

Oh had no idea, always assumed it was a wvw/pvp thing, will go there now, ty.

Well Title says it all really, i’m lvl 80/guardian with 50AR (i don’t have the gold for armor as i’m making 2nd legi) I’m looking for a guild/solid group of players to do smooth fractal runs with, as my guild is primarily wvw focused. Pugging it is like roullette and i’m getting tired of shooting myself in the head. i’m at personal level 39 currently and usually do 20+ and 30+ daily, though i’m looking to go 40-45 with the ar i currently possess. anyhow, i use ts3 etc etc, any invites/replys would be cool. EU btw.

Right now (despite nerf) i’ve been running all knight armor, celestial everything else, and it seems to be fine, fury gives me all the crit chance i need, and crit damage, i got 176%. So i may swap weps for valkyri or cavalier.

This wasn’t stealth nerfed, it was mentioned a week or two before patch… that you wouldn’t keep your stacks if you swapped off your stacking weapon.

How do you feel we were nerfed this patch? I feel it is exactly the same as it was before as i’ve been playing in wvw roaming, just a bit diff now i’m not using 2/2/2 runes is only diff i see..

I’d just applied water before I read your post as it seemed to be the best set to pursue. i changed my build to 0/10/0/30/30, dropped ether feast for heal on cast. Use boon duration food also, build holds up very well solo and in group play, dps is still solid with gear i’m using, as is survivability. I gotta admit, i enjoy this build a lot, its very similar to how i was before patch, only i can heal more, survive more and when roaming with guilides (3-5) of us the d/d water attune is pumping out some nice support.

I run 0/10/10/20/30 (or did) d/d ele for wvw, with 2 water 2 monk 2 traveler runes. Any ideas what to use now..? I’m coming up with either water/hoelbrak after looking at all the sets available. I am so so desperate fo rrune help now, any chance we could bump this thread into a compilation of new sets/ideas people think will work effectivley for d/d builds?

It has nothing to do with anet that low populations servers suffer, it is down to player choice/greed. ANET gives players the choice and they bugger up the servers by stacking them, if you want someone to place blame on place it onto the player

I have 2k hours on a thief, when d/p became the meta i put him down, spam stealth and bore an opponent to death, 5-2-5-2-1-5-2-5-2-5-2-1 Like hihey said, build clealey takes ALOT of skill toplay, like 5-2-5-2-5-2. Try playing a d/d ele and swappign the attunements to gain relevent boons/attacks for a fight, then you will know what it means to have a spec that is “far from easy to use” stop defending a gimick you like to abuse in wvw hihey, all you do is spam stealth on your thief be it home bl or any other map, i feel bad for the enemies having to go through the process of watching you spam stealth and run off when they hit you. :P

Nice to hear; tbh queues are only a problem here when we have an easy matchup. Don’t we all love fair weather players and the PvE horde running around to get their easy map completion. Then and again queues aren’t really a problem in most cases cos EotM now. If nothing else the community’s worth it. For example we have a ThisisGandara IV guilds compilation video that just went up. Fun events like that make a server worth being on. Again more shameless self promotion, maybe there’s a better place for me to be casually conversing with you.

In terms of adding something to the thread, I’d like to say that WvW players don’t necessarily have to always think about points constantly. Examples being most WvW guilds like Fenwick said as well as pretty much any server that isn’t Deso/GH/Some other servers ranked higher; and when you stop playing the game for enjoyment, good fights and good fun, you’re in danger of losing sight of what the game’s about. Not saying don’t consider points at all, just find a balance. If you’re looking at the points timer every minute and trying to cap things accordingly, I think you’ve gone a little too far.

Other than that @ UW, try posting something like this but similar in the World Recruitment section, basically list all of the pros like any recruitment thread, and make sure you have people for contact details down the bottom. Maybe refrain from Fenwick being one lest his fans follow him there too (no offense intended). Gandara put one up only the other day and 2 guilds have expressed interest already, to my knowledge.

Gh aren’t a point server, we’re a fight server, just because we have a higher pop than gand currently, (which hasn’t always been the case) Doesn’t mean we’re all for points :P. This should have been evident with the amount of time we’ve been matched up against eachother. We even dueled in eb last matchup we had immol [ending in a draw],i am dissapointed you would carelessly slander the greatest eu server like this(Excuse the self promotion!). You should feel bad. Besides, if anything this is probably the whooped backside from our matchups talking and forming an obsurd view of our server, again you should feel bad! We worked hard to be able to hold our own in wvw, the sever has come along way since season 1!

That depends, My guild left for good reasons, and i left for two or three of them, They have names too, Jarni, Fenwick, and the toxic atmosphere they turned the server into. I will never return nor will any of my guild as we’re very happy on GH, but i would be nice to see you guys in my tier so i had the opportunity to give them both a right smack-up in wvw The amount of blueprints i will drop on both of them, and its a shame they removed townclothes i had a wizards hat reserved for corpsedancing enemies.. oh god the possibilities. I’d probably be put on trial for war crimes by arena net though….

Switch mid fight? No. But if i am defending camps in wvw, and come across a d/p thief capping then you can be kitten sure i’ll slot on moa and gank him. Same for evasion warriors etc, the fact is the skill is usefull sometimes, depending on the situation, deleting it after the op of this thread cries after dying on his faceroll warrior/stealth reliant thief would be utter foolishness. Seriously, but what would YOU know about playing your mes with utils suited for roaming, i bet as a mesmer you’ve never had veil off of your slot bar, nor been far from the rest of your guilds blob :p

You guys keep saying "elite is useless skilled players wouldn’t use this " it is a situational tool used to defeat foes who are constantly evading/mitigating damage, as i said before i LOVE to use this on thieves, cant stealth and 99% of them die like the useless moas that they are.

Played mes exclusivley for almost 1 year, i only use moa on annoying thieves who spam d/p stealth, because they cant stealth as a moa and killing them when they are a helpless bird is priceless. Moa is a SITUATIONAL tool, it is not overpowerd, you can dodge it, block it, stability im 99% sure stops it, you have plenty of opportunities to stop yourself being moad, it even has a blatant cast animation, its not our fault if you’re too stupid to avoid it. and doesn’t need to be nerfed.
I nearly always run mass invis op, BUT when faced with a particularly annoying thief who abuses his ability to steatlh, or an annoying warrior, i slot in moa morph and do my upmost to destroy the turkey before it escapes.

You should save your tears to complain about real class balance issues such as the place of rangers and how they are compared to thief/warrior in pvp meta. This is a L2P issue. not a cry nerf cause it killed your op healing signet warrior issue.

I was rolling along just fine, minding my own business, got to 70% map completion.

Then I decided I would hop into WvW to get the Gift of Battle and the borderlands maps. A few weeks later, I have the Gift and just a couple points on the blue map to get the maps all done.

But now WvW is all I do every day when I’m on. And I start to fall asleep just thinking about going back to finish the world maps.

Thanks a lot, WvW. How the hell am I supposed to get my Legendary now?!

OK do you understand the concept of legendary, it is that you MASTER every part of this game, That means WVW maps, Which means you have to prove your worth and CONQEUR towers/keeps to EARN those points of interest. I just made my first legendary (twilight) and finished it in under 2 months, ankitten ow working on #2. I found only getting the nessesary amount of gold for t6mats/precursor hard, every other part of it i enjoyed, including map completion of both PVE/WVW.

I am a prodiminatly wvw focused player though, and doing the DOZENS of pve maps didn’t make me whine, so you shouldnt be complaining about completing FOUR wvw ones, just because they take more effort to do.

Sorry if this seemed a little full on, but i am sick and tired of hearing people who only wvw/pve exclusivley complain about how they have to do the one they don’t like to get their own legendary. It is how it is, either suck it up and EARN the legendary or give up and don’t, just please stop crying about it.

Refer to my reply to Omegon but, if I were you i’d stick to mesmer. i feel like Mesmer is insanely OP right now and alot of my guildies agree. So I’d would run around and kitten face for a bit until they get a little nerfed.

I do like to play mesmer, and i will likely continue maining it, but i love how guardian plays when roaming/with group, after being on mesmer for a year i think its time for a switch up, especially with all mesmers hitting pu as hard as they can killing build diversity :L. i think i’ll work my traits around how you had your med build in the video, i had traits very similar as it turns out was just missing out on armor as i’ve been running full knights/pvt.

Ferocity is going to be about 10% less damage than the crit damage stat it is replacing, according to what they said on the stream. It’s most definitely not a buff.

Tbh I wouldn’t say the PvD was extremely fun I was hoping a GH zerg would come to defend their border, but they didn’t and if that’s the case, then, well, we’ll take it all.

Well we got double blobbed in bl all night not much we could do but sit back and watch it burn, its hard to blob up and focus your defence when everywhere is under simultanious attack, Wouldn’t expect you to understand that you weren’t the only “threat” in our bl though.

Also to the Vcy corporation,Thankyou for providing such brilliant bodies on which to place siege on this evening. Especially at North camp in GH bl. That was alot of fun, especially when your thief roaming group hit our stealth traps for a third consecutive time :p it was very amusing to watch them flee in all directions and get cut down by my waiting guild mates ^^

Got all achievements in less that the fortnight, Didn’t even do all that many fractals just ran them with guildies. You had a fortnight to do them, not Anets fault you didn’t take the opportunity to do it whilest they were around. The content was aptly named “fortnight” that might have been just a little clue as to how long the content would be around.

Wow. Just popped in here to see how my old server was getting on (UW) and even with us “toxic guilds”gone seems certain people still can not all get along. Shame that!

for everyone who isnt a hypocrite.. the issue is when a low pop wvw community is on a server with a high pop pve community, since pvers can guest but wvwers can’t pvers can stay on a server and never actually help the wvw effort while forcing a high gem price to transfer

Funny how people are so willing to tell other people to do this, and yet so few actually will.

Admit it. You don’t really think it’s plausible for any random person to start a Grassroots mega-campaign to revitalize their server, do you? Long before it gets to that point, they’re likely to just jump to an overpopulated server, exacerbating the problem, or leave the game, ditto.

People just say “Naw, you just gotta turn into a community organizer the likes of which gaming has rarely seen” because it saves them from having to say “Yeah, WvW in general and this league in specific are poorly planned and designed, fundamentally.”

Don’t remember suggesting electing somebody as a community organiser? I also don’t remember saying that forming a community would be easy to do. But certain servers i have played /have friends on have had very nice communities, and to them it is natural not hard work, they have combined guild events, public ts/ forums, and its just the effort of guilds working together so that their server can provide a fun environment in which players can enjoy the game.

The leagues were planned well, they should just have had the forsight to block transfers to certain servers. It is not their game design that has ruined the leagues for YOU it is just player Greed and the devs can’t tell people not to be greedy, can they?

TL;DR Yes i do think it’s possible for a community to develop on a server really.
