Because CoF has just got out of control like the precursors price.

I’m playing since day one, so i guess i play an 80…
Maybe i forgot to mention that i don’t farm, don’t do more than 2 runs in CoF (path 1-2) once 2 or 3 days, and i don’t play the TP.
I just do WvW, world events and occational dungeon runs with guildies.
So i probably don’t play as intended.

Delete you engineer.
Roll a Zerker GS Warrior.
Run CoF until you see Flame Legion Charrs even when you are not online.
Play GW2 as ANet intend.

How much do you play? What motivates you to play?
Almost every day for fhew hours when i’m not playing Defiance.
The main if not only reason i’m still here and play is friends, the moment they leave, i do too for good.

What attracted you to this game over other MMOs?
The manifesto and all the interviews pre launch… Then they turned out being only BSs, but still, it provides a decent amount of fun and it doesn’t requires money to play… So i’ll be around at least until Wildstar and ESO will comes out.

How often do you play with and interact with other players? Are most of your friends people you know from in game, or from real life?
I’m almost full time in group with a close friend of mine, then i group often fro dungeoning or wvw, mostly with guildies.

What do you do with your time in game?
Daily and events (they are so mindlessly dumb that i can do them while half afk talking with friends or doing other stuff), then fractals or random dungeons or wvw.

I agree with this…to a point.

At this time I have 6 80s…but I only geared up one of them for “end game” content. Actually I have one character for dungeons, one for WvW, one for open world just running around, and a few I use more rarely.

The thing is, you don’t really have to have BIS gear to do end game content in Guild Wars 2 (except for really high level fractals, which I’m not ever likely to do anyway. I’m up to level 19 now).

I can run any dungeon in the game on any of my 80s, without ascended gear. Stuff like exotics is relatively easy to get with karma, or just dungeon runs.

You can mindlessly faceroll 90% of the game contents in yellow gear, ANet added ascendent crap only to makes content locusts happy and keep them in game, but seriously, do you need ascendant items for autoattacking a world boss while sitting in a corner?
So don’t worry OP, unless you plan to run high level fractals with all your characters, there’s no reason to BiS all of them.

I don’t like almost any of them… For the major part they looks plain stupid, out of context and joke weapons…
Although Flameseeked Prophecies, The Hunter and the Juggernaut looks good…

Little problem is (except for part when you have to be ultralucky or ultrafarmer in order to get or buy a precursor), i play the class ANet regrets to create… Engineer.
So i would either end up shotgunning with a sniper rifle (wich seems to me the stupidest thing ever), or holding a shield that scream “I’M A HOLY DEFENDER” or a joke pistol with pink crappy effects and even crappier sounds…

Seriously, i think you get bad luck in finding people, because i’ve never been asked such things.

I have, and have been kicked at various phases of dungeon-forming, including just before a run would start. I remember being in a group, doing the ENTIRE CoF fight to open the dungeon again, and then kicked for some kitten who just stood at the blocked portal the whole time.

I SWEAR TO GOD I even had a conversation where a group-leader didn’t even know and INSISTED Engineers didn’t exist as a class. I found the group on the LFG site and when I said “Engineer” he thought I meant “ele”, when I said “No, Engineer!”, he went on to declare I’m not playing the same game, as Engineer isn’t a class…

So yeah, as Phelan said, it’s not the class itself, it’s the stigma & stereotype that follow the kittening class, and because of that, no matter how well you play, you’re doomed to mediocrity even before level 1.

Well, that is just plain ignorance, because that guy doesn’t even know what game is playing >.<

1. I’m on Gunnar’s Hold (EU) server, and i don’t see that many engineers running around, in LA or events/dungeons… There’s time i joke with guildies about being the only engineer on Gunnar’s! But even when i run dungeon with gw2lfg and i get people from other servers, i usually end to be the only engineer in party.
2. It won’t last long, i see some more engi in wvw and they ends to be my easiest prey right after rangers and warriors, wich means, as some said before me, most of the new engis in town are just givint it a try after having read the recent patch notes.

Really, every time i come into the forum i feel like i’m playing a different game…
I mean, i neved had a problem finding party with my engi, i’m up to fotm level 20 and i use gw2lfg a lot, and never get kicked or blamed for everything…
Heck, right yesterday i did a TA run and there was this full zerker GS warrior that was spamming all the time crap like “OMG 24k CRIT!!!” before miserably get 2 shotted by ANY SINGLE MOB!
I swear i lost the count of how many time he died during the run…

And in WvW is even better! I eat warriors for breakfast (actually it’s more them committing suicide due to confusion + retaliaton lol) and even if i’m not an awesome player, i hardly lose a 1vs1, but as engi i find myself useful in almost every wvw situation… I just need to switch a skill here and there and i’m ready.

Really guys, i’m well aware of the issues and bugs of our class, but still i don’t get all the complaints about being a useless class.

Since ANet wants all of us to use Zerker GS warriors, it makes sense that they add moar and moar GS skins…

I just bought Guild Quickshot and chest + pants cultural t3, and now i have 30 gold left.
No legendary, no superpricey stuff, i made my money by playing, most on wvw during the 2-3 hours per day i can play GW2.
Do i have any problem about that? Absolutely no. i can Prybar the heck out of people showing off legendaries in wvw, so i don’t feel like i have something less then them

Anyway, just for the records, i’m not going for a legendary right now, because i’m an engineer and i don’t see any weapons that fits on my character (maybe the shield, but i’ll go for it only IF i loot it, i’m not gonna drop a dime on the TP or ANet’s pockets).
Still, i think people have all the rights to ask for a way to obtain a Legendary Weapon that not only shows legendary luck in getting the precursor, or legendary farming skill…

Fanboys fails to understands that most of the “whines” comes from people who love the game and would be it the way it was presented back when the manifesto came out.
Anyway, watching that video again, now and see how the game is actually, really makes me sad.

Oh, i can’t wait to read another interview full of “we are awesome, game is awesome, everything is awesome, we are going to add such awesome thing… We don’t even know what or when, but it will be awesome!
