I’m not against having a gear inspect option, maybe even build inspect BUT there should be an option to allow them to be shown or not, so you can opt in or out depending on how you feel about it.

They say “Don’t hate the player hate the game” but when I hear someone near me with a Dreamer I start to hate the player… despite the fact that it was Anet made the most annoying sounding weapon in the game, they did not force anyone to use it, so I blame them both.
Same here this is very annoying, lost all my guild gathering buffs twice now, didn’t notice how or when to be exact but after losing them the first time across all my characters and then painfully putting them all back on, I just now noticed they are all gone again. Incase it helps they were all guild gathering 10%. Oddly my characters that have the guild WvW reward track buff have maintained it, so basically its not effecting all guild buffs, I can only confirm that there is an issue with guild gathering buff atm.

Just nerf it. No down state = no stomping = no fun.
Agreed, I would miss stomping so I think nerfing downed state would be a better solution. Ressing someone that is in downed state should take twice as long and only be able to be performed by one person at a time.
Technically the scouts are pointing where there are people to fight… I don’t get your logic.
The scouts using /t are mostly pointing to fights on Home border Garri, Bay, Hills. Scouts using/m are the only one’s that interest me, since border hoping for fights rarely happens in T1 EU due to high queues blocking you from getting your raid in, therefore it is information I do not need, I can leave that to the commander to read and decide a course of action.

I have a separate chat tab for WvW which I use while in WvW, this chat tab no longer has /t enabled. I only play for fights so I no longer care about cross map scout info anyway.
I disabled /t because the channel turned into WvW’s version of “Loose Women” where every attention seeker on the server would turn up to talk about nothing.

What kinda strange magic is this?
While playing WvW you experience the loading screen bug and/or related bugs. I have personally experienced this bug now for well over 6 months and constantly hear people in TS talking about how they have it also, I have posted about it in the bugs forum in the past and it gets no attention, and for some reason even us as the WvW community seem to not be very vocal about it here on the forums, it’s as if we accept it like we are forced to accept skill lag (although granted not everyone receives the loading bug).
For those of you that do not know what the bug/bugs are, for me after playing about 2 hours of EB my characters weapon will become invisible, followed shortly after by my whole character becoming invisible, also npcs become invisible. If at any point during this time I try to use a waypoint to a keep then I will get stuck in a loading screen for anything up to 5 mins (which does not fix any of the above bugs) the only way to fix this is to relog or change map, which for commanders can be a big problem since they will then get stuck in queue’s.
I would just like to raise attention of this bug in the hope that it can be fixed.

Since server linking became a thing I no longer feel the WvW leaderboards hold any value at all, same can be said for server pride, I actually left my home server after 4 years there because you killed the server pride I once had, there is no longer a feeling of fighting to win for your server, so since winning has become even more meaningless as a result, then skirmishes are also meaningless, but I’m sure you are happy with your transfer gem sales…
You can glide there from the top of the JP, I came to the conclusion it maybe a V.I .P area like the royal terrace, just not implemented yet, seems like it anyway.
Why would someone do this if a gift of exploration is worth 1000g
Because I have 19 gifts of exploration in the bank, and I do not feel like making legendarys for profit, call me crazy but it’s just not my thing, I would rather use them to gain world completion on a new character since I am very tired of doing world completes now, I would rather a quick 1 button press world complete than 1000g.
I’d be cool with that, as long as the completion rewards were reduced/converted into something else. And as long as getting 100% this way didn’t give you more Gifts of Exploration.
There should be no rewards at all, just a straight swap, gift of exploration for 100% world complete. I have been wanting this for a while, and I’m still holding out hope they someday we will get it.

It worked great before the big patch. Now if I want a skill at a specific spot, I’m forced to linger my cursor on it until it’s there. This is NOT a convenience. This is exactly the opposite of that.

Agreed, I prefer the old fire and forget method.
I’ve also found it annoying since there is little counter play to it, if there was a shield skill as one of the glider skills it would make much more sense and would probably be fun, but right now its certainly not. The RNG element of will I be knocked out of the sky or not is just plain stupid and needs reworking.
It would be nice if they could make it so it worked at least on the client side, because I personally hate playing mesmers due to their skill colors, I think it would be to confusing for the rest of the game tho, especially cough esports.
Because wvw ranks are a progression system that includes abilities to unlock, its not a cosmetic item like a badge thats visible to all players.
SPvP ranks are also a progression system that includes the ability to unlock legendary backpieces. The difference is WvW player have not yet been given a nice shiny badge, you might find there is less hostility towards PvP badges if Anet actually started treating WvW players with a bit more respect and give us the shinys that PvP gets, looking at you finishers, legendary backs, rank icons…
When, and I do say when because I believe it will happen, they make WvW rank icons then they should make a toggle for us to choose which one to show WvW or PvP, or it could just show the rank icon of the game mode you are in at the time (which prob makes the most sense)

the other ones I see solable are perhaps the easy bounty and maybe the challenges.
Every guild race is soloable [easy/medium/hard], since it only needs 15 people crossing the line regardless what guild they were in, as example u could have 3 guilds with 5 players each and all get credit, so as a solo player u just join in, everyone gets credit.

Because it’s a guild mission, not a solo/duo mission.
Except you can solo many PVE “guild” missions… your logic fails.
For some reason some wvw missions and pvp ones have a minimum of 3 player as requirement, making impossible for less than 3 man guild to do most of them.
I don’t see the reason to not let 1 or 2 players to do a mission that require to capture a camp, or complete dollyaks events. Its not like one person can’t solo a camp, right?
There is already hard for small guilds to upgrade guild hall because there is no scale for material requirement, its even harder to wait for a week and hope to get a wvw rank mission with 10k wxp just to do one guild hall upgrade.
It would be nice if they removed the 3 player requirements from the WvW missions but don’t hold your breath waiting, In the meantime I would suggest you select the PVE missions and do those instead, since many of them can be soloed, I have built a level 38 guild hall solo and have every buff unlocked in wvw by doing them.
maybe one new reward track that opens when you finish a regular triumphant armor full set?
A dev said recently they are thinking of adding the higher tier armor with a rank requirement, which to me sounds more like it would be on a vendor, I imagine they may do the same thing with the higher tier weapons.
Rewards you with something that was on a vendor for the last 4 years… that Anet logic, I will never understand it.
It does not even effect me since I bought 5 gifts of battle when they told us this change was coming, but I have to be honest here, this is one of the strangest changes I’ve seen them make, were they that short on idea’s for new reward tracks?

Oh really? I have played GW2 solo for nearly 4 years now and one of the biggest draws for me was the fact that you can play alone, you clearly have no idea what you are talking about.
Like mmos before gw2, it is slowly bleeding. There’s nothing they can do, horrible decisions were made and neglect led to the current state. Hold all the polls you want.

My logic doesn’t hold water? You haven’t really established any grounds as to why dev time should be allocated to that other than “we already have mastery level, pvp rank and wvw rank”. First establish a reason why it should be there in the first place other than because such and such is there.
Otherwise one could use your logic and argue for the following
- Display all currencies
- Display current luck/MF
- Display daily login reward progression
- Display PvP reward tracks
- Displayed daily achievements
And so on….
You’ll just end up with a cluttered character screen because you didn’t want to take the extra 15-20 seconds to log into a character or to use sites like GW2efficiency.
The grounds being that is an account wide level, same as the other levels (mastery, Pvp, WVW), this has nothing to do with currencys, it is purely based on account wide levels, which fractals happens to be one of the very few we have, adding one more stat to the charcter select screen is not going to be an issue, there is plenty of room for it.

Personal reward level lost most of its meaning when HoT came around. Maybe before then but I can’t remember. All of the rewards are essentially gained by completing achievements which are not influenced by your personal reward level.
I personally have no issue with things being added so long as there’s a meaningful reason as to why and it doesn’t take any more dev time to do.
Not sure what you think currencys or what the next guys thread has to do with my thread, perhaps take that up with the next guy? I made it very clear what I was suggesting, but you decided to go off on a tangent and project your logic as mine, which it is not.
Arenanet already decided that adding account wide levels to the character select screen was meaningful, so perhaps you should also ask them why they thought that, personally I just like to see those kinda stats on my character screen, it can also be motivational to people who look at them and think, hmm yeah I should work on that level a bit, I’m pretty sure Anet likes to motivate us to do their different content, fractals included.

I voted monthly to give the WvW devs some work to do.
As the title says, I would love it if there was a way to get a gold fractal capacitor to match the new gold fractal weapons, I don’t mind how hard to get it is or how expensive, just give me the option of getting one, thanks.
Anet should do server merges instead of server linkings. Get rid of all bronze league servers by merging them with silver league.

The results turned out more mixed than we think will be good for the future health of the game. For that reason we are going to run a “Remove Desert Borderlands?” poll first and then run a variation of this poll again. The updated poll will be reworded for clarification due to large amounts of feedback that many of the ‘No’ votes were cast with a misunderstanding of what they meant.

Personally, I voted ‘Yes’ to this, as did the rest of my team. So we are also disappointed with the result. But that was an accepted risk when we decided to poll the community about WvW development rather than just following our own vision.
