Mine just restored itself somehow, I kinda knew it would as soon as it logged in at the correct speed instead of slowly. This is 2nd or 3rd time I’ve had this error happen, it’s very annoying and quite frankly continues to lower my opinion of Anet as a company.

This is a brilliant idea, this is a must at this point, all I see now is 10+ people afk at spawn at all times just leaching pips and reward tracks. Like you said while in spawn (Invunerable) you should receive no pips or reward tracks progress. Anet please implement this asap.

And what happens when I respawn after dying just as the tick timer hits zero? I guess everytime I die I have to check the timer and lay there if it’s close to zero just so I can get my pips?

You people are getting ridiculous.

It’s called death penalty :P You make a good point tho, perhaps respawning could put a 30 sec buff on you to make you immune to the pip/reward track loss, that way you also have time to get back out of spawn.

In Short
While in Spawn = Debuffed to receive no rewards
After respawning = 30 sec Immunity to the debuff

The “cash out” button would immediately deplete your participation to zero and give any rewards that you would have earned over the time it would have naturally depleted.

I hope that makes sense.

Queuing order based on rank? I hope not, I said before in another thread – most of my playtime in WvW was ages ago before the rank update, so I have like 192k kills and I am about rank 700.. How would that be close to fair?

Don’t worry I’m pretty sure Anet would never take that approach, I would be very surprised if they did.

conditions should have stayed like we had on gw1…..

Because GW2 is the only game that uses drain over time/condition damage right… conditions are fine learn to deal with it.

WvW vets are going to throw a hiiiiiissy fit if there are queues.

I will rejoice if there are queues on my server, because that will then mean we might actually have some chance to win a skirmish, right now the server is pretty much dead.

I made sure I killed a guard at every structure I passed just incase the blobbed flipped it later

That’s very unfortunate to be completely locked. I switched to play with an irl friend and then I learn about this change. It almost feels punishing.

It is punishing and its wrong of them to suddenly spring these rules on people without forewarning, just to be clear this has no effect on me but I do feel for those that are effected by it, its a total injustice.

What do you hope to get from mystic forging exotic armor? because unless I’m missing something it sounds like a bad idea.

I personally think 5 is to low, it should be at least 10 maybe even 15-20. You can be sure some group of 5 thieves is now going to have a commander for the extra pips, I don’t know if I should laugh or cry about that, I might even tag up on my thief and do it too just for the lols.

We get hunted anyway, no change there. If anything you should get more WXP for killing us, this was how it was handled in WoW years ago when I was a High Warlord.

Well, you’d need an LFG if servers were abolished and people were either red team, blue team or green team.

This occurred to me also, in that context it would make sense, but for WvW as it is now, it makes no sense at all.

LFG for WvW, on a scale of 1 to 10 this is about a 1 in terms of useful/needed. The rewards will prob just be an ascended armor vendor that costs u as much to buy as to craft for yourself, again, useless to me.

I can replicate this bug every single time I play by just staying on the same map for 2+ hours, after which time things start to disappear. Switching maps fixes it but that is not what I call a fix when you don’t want to switch map because there is a queue to get back to the map you are on.

My rings are Attuned and infused, backpack infused, +5 stat WvW infusions in everything including armor, weapons, earings. and Aquabreather.

I don’t mean this is a nasty way, but Rayya, you and all your server-hopping pals are the reason WvW never gets balanced.

Anet have stated before that the system takes time to work. When people transfer servers en masse you mess up the algorithm. It’s Anet’s fault really, they shouldn’t allow transfers at any time, there should be specific time windows to do transferring.

Atleast in EU everyone stacking on fsp is destroying wvw. We could have stayed on fsp with TT and our friends but we moved out because it was boring to one push everything. We try to create a server to face and fight fsp. If we wanted ez mode we would have stayed on fsp m8.

Seems to me you would have been better off going straight to a higher placed server so that you could face FSP.

Saw this “Farm” today", at first I was like woah that looks like some industrial scale botting, then I realized it wasn’t, and quite frankly that was even more disturbing. I walked away feeling disgusted that something like that exists in the game, it seriously cheapens the game experience for me. Each to their own and all that but personally I think it’s a pitiful way to play.

Yea I hate those zooms as well. They don’t give me motion sickness but I find them annoying that it automatically decides what zoom level I want.

Agreed, I’m pretty sure they is a large amount of people that find it annoying if nothing else, but if we don’t make ourselves heard about the issue nothing will ever be done.

did you try adjusting the camera collision sensitivity? I think there was some fix a year or so back that addressed this. I don’t recall the exact name of the setting, but check the video settings and see if you can find something like collision blah blah blah in it.

Hope that helps at all- if not then I hope it gets resolved soon! Doesn’t sound enjoyable :/

It’s not related to the collision, that’s a separate issue, I’m talking about the massive camera zoom out/in that happens at the start and end of boss fights, or in certain area’s of the game like TD ley-line confluence.

As a long term sufferer of motion sickness every time the camera re-adjusts itself in an open world boss fight or the center of tangle depths I start to feel sick, I would like to request an option to be able to turn this on/off as I do not want my camera FOV (Field of Vision) to ever change unless I change it.
Earlier today while in Tangle depths around the Ley-Line confluence waypoint my camera adjusted the FOV 3 times in under a minute, it literally broke me out in a cold sweat with my head spinning, which then took several hours to recover from. Count yourself lucky if you have never suffered from motion sickness, I’m just appealing for an on/off FOV auto adjust option for the small minority of us that do suffer from it.

Only the HP’s need other player’s but apart from that it is pretty much solo-able.

You can use Proof of Heroics for the HP’s, no other players needed.

Just like for others it is too slow of a gameplay for me as well as too little of i-slice-ur-neck-open and rip u apart – the gameplay most players try to find when playing a thief.

I totally understand, as I have previously mentioned I played zerk D/D for 3 years (vids of that also on my channel) and in the end I got kinda bored of riping people apart in 2 seconds :P

1.) With the broken targeting system, any channeled attacks (such as rapid fire, unload…etc) will still connect when if you go stealth during it, thus possibly still downing you.

I also have a channeled skill, sneak attack, which is a huge advantage when fighting other stealth classes (Thief, Mes, Engi, Ranger, Trap rune DH) so channeled skills are far more of a benefit to me than a disadvantage.

3.) going vs berserkers, BD will only get you so far as chain CC will still get you. Just needs to be timed after BD (this was part of my test)

Firstly my build is very tanky, getting caught in a cc is not game over, secondly, I can shadowstep out of it and shadowstep return out of another if within the time, then as I mentioned you could run bandit defence on top of that, and lets not forget DD has 3 dodges and PP is a blind spam machine, couple that with the fact that I steal the warriors resistance against the blind, so honestly if you get stunlocked to death with this build you deserve to lose, because it should not happen.

If it works for some, thats great and I hope to come across this as it is an interesting build. Like any build it has its weakness but it seems that its true to the daredevil way as 1 mistake and its game over. Imo, its too high of risk for the reward but i applaud someone making/tweaking a non meta build and I hope to see more from ya.

High risk? did you see the gear I run? full trailblazer, it tanks damage for days, if I was running sinister or viper I would understand your point.

The build looks interesting, so I may try it, however it seems to have a couple of flaws:

1.) Ranged pressure: (ie LB/Staff druid. You can be outranged and classes like druid have the stealth and mobility to reposition)

2.) Medium to heavy condi pressure: (small condi pressure you can eat, if a p/p engi gets half of his rotation off, you will drop)

3.) CC chains: I understand immob/crip you can clear/eat, however any half decent berserker, scrapper, staff rev will make it hard for you

4.) Projectile hate. This will shut the build down hard (focus tempest, scrapper, guard/DH…etc) Even shield berserkers if they read your rotations and time it, then follow up with CC’s and you are toast.

Despite all of this, I still am intrigued enough to try this and tweak it enough to at least remove 2 of what i listed. Thanks for the build.

When you try the build you will find that :

1) No one is out ranging you since you can re stealth at will and reposition yourself within range.

2) I have 5 condi clears, Escapist absolution, Shadow embrace (which I can get access to easily) and then Hide in shadows and shadowstep, both of which can quickly counter heavy condi bombs, and sigil of cleansing on my bow, so this build is about as anti condi as you are ever going to find on a thief, condi builds cannot kill me, the only build that is an issue is condi reaper, due to them throwing my condi back on me.

3) Just switch refuge for bandit defence.

4) Yeah projectile hate is a problem.

For me the biggest flaw in the build is actually any other build that runs heavy condi clear, because that will neutralize whatever you do.

The build is slow moving unless you take traveler runes, but if you do take them you don’t do enough damage. Not to mention you are kind of hosed if immobed/stunned at the wrong time. It has its moments though so I give it a 6.5 out of 10.

The build is indeed slow but for me personally mobility is a luxury I can live without, I am not in a rush to get anywhere, sure there are times people run from me and I can’t catch them (or they die running with conditions still on them) but most people do attempt to fight me to the death, maybe it’s because they have not encountered my build before and try to figure out how to counter it, or the fact that not everyone runs from a fight when low on health.

Shadowstep generally deals with any big stuns and if that is on cd I have enough vitaility and toughness to survive most damage while stunned. If you still feel you do not have enough stunbreak, maybe vs a war, then you can switch out refuge for bandit’s defense, since refuge is not essential in the build (I just like it)

In the case of an immob that could potentially kill me, then I can always switch to shortbow that has sigil of cleansing on it and remove it, I can shadowstep return to remove it or I can refuge myself and wait it out.

TLDR : Stuns and immobs are really not an issue for me, they can be easily dealt with by various means.
