Really. Cut the crap out. Oceanic isnt neccesary mean mean zerg no tactic,and no skill all the time. We have been here since tier1 where there were all actions are packed. We fought in tier2 for weeks even when IoJ/SoR still top of their game and got their mass Oceanic zerglings to compete with us as well. In tier2 there are very often still places/locations where you need better than zerging to get the job done. At least give us some respect not a mindless insult like this.

Are you facing two enemies with a force the same size as yours in all four zones during oceanic times? The answer is no.

Who knows if you have skill or not to be honest. It isn’t like you actually have to fight anything even remotely close to what all three servers do during NA prime time. We all know this to be truth, so it is a tad silly to get defensive about it. It is what it is.

No need to get mad that Blackgate has been working more on our coverage to compete against T1 than SoR has. Every week the score between SoR and Blackgate is increasing and that’s because we learn, adapt, and change tactics so the fight is in our favor. You’re right covenn, it is what it is. So quit making excuses for your losing and deal with it.

Just because a dueling system wasn’t implemented, it doesn’t give someone the right to go into my WvW where 100+ players from each of the three sides are and expect me to walk past what I would see as a guaranteed bag drop. Really makes me wonder why you’re wondering why you got killed in an open pvp area. If dueling is what you want, then write an e-mail to A-net about it.

Is this considered good tactics? What happened to actually fighting? What is even funnier is once you figure out the gimmick, it is easily defeated and sent packing. Is this what you folks fought so hard to get into a high tier for? I totally love the portal bombing, but the stacking thing is just terrible tactics.

This is realllly fun and gets super intense! You should try it sometime with ICoa and Choo when we are all online… We had a blast stacking with 30+ people on each side and literally standing a meter apart from each other or portal bombing into the enemies stack lol. Obviously you didn’t enjoy it but this tactic makes WvW more enjoyable, imo

Servers dont get better by constantly winning they stay the same in quality and skill because they learn nothing, they dont need to. On the other hand servers that are fighting uphill get better in quality and strength of their community.

Just to clarify quantity does not equal quality, individual and in small groups I have seen little to no improvement, however, I have seen more numbers in your zerg but not quality. Criticize my opinion if you want but this is exactly what I’ve observed.

Good for your observation, but I disagree. Every Blackgate guild has been doing an amazing job on improving especially against SoR on their primetime. We tend to have equal to slightly less PPT during your primetime. Then we take over pretty much every map during the later hours.

I would wait to evaluate SoR primetime untill after the holidays because most people are still out. Yes you’re missing players from your side as well which means that neither side is at full strength so true comparisons can be made after the holidays.

We actually had more points during the weeks before the holidays, if you are using this as your excuse for not quite getting first place for 6 weeks in a row then it’s not really a valid one :/

In the 5 weeks we’ve been fighting, BG is the same “quality” wise as far as I’ve seen. You have gotten a lot zergier though I’ll give you that.

You seem to be missing the point, when you “win” in this game, you still have to win by a significant amount. This system isn’t like other sports or games where a win is a win. You have to win by X amount to actually consider it a positive net gain. So while BG can say we’ve won the last 5 weeks, most people that understand the system will say “so what, you haven’t moved up in the rankings or points”.

As things stand BG literally needs to win each match by at least 100k to make any progress. I’ll be impressed if you can do it, but from seeing your performance these past 5 weeks I don’t think you guys are capable.

Winning in this tier is still winning in my eyes… Hahah and even if we do stay in T2 then I don’t mind; as long as we are in first place then I’m satisfied.

Only way BG is going to get into T1 is if a T1 server flops down, but you guys aren’t “going up”.

They are having a great time playing with our other Asian Guilds and Blackgate has welcomed them with open arms If we didn’t get another Asian presence then TC may be ahead during those times. If it isn’t one server, then it’s the other. We are very glad to have ND come to Blackgate and we hope everyone will respect their decision!

if i can step into the conversation here for a minute? i think the general consensus from the vast majority of the players on every server i’ve encountered, including my own, is “hacker, exploiters, cheaters = bad and should be banned”. unfortunately, the players can’t do the banning. the most any of us can do is send a report to anet, and then the onus is on them to deal with it. could they be more active about it? without a doubt. is there anything any of the players on any side can do to stop it themselves? very little, and only rarely. pointing fingers at each other isn’t going to solve the problem, and will only breed resentment. which will result only in anger fueled posts, and locked threads.

a simple “i need to speak with a representative of (insert guild name here), can they message me?” while having a screenshot or a video of the action on hand to show them will be a much much smoother experience for all involved. except for the person being displayed in said screenshot or video. they’ll most likely catch a lot of crap. so it’s a win-win situation really.

To be honest tere proably are cheaters on all sides… but, IF there was a TCer that cheated with pic proof, there are several things we as TC can do, we can ask in team chat, spread the word among all guilds, no one will work with this invidual, and finally if a TCer did this to BG at say “bay” we could spread the word in team chat that no one should attack “bay” for a said time, as reprisal and give back to BG that one of our people have behaved badly, atleast that is what i would suggest to the big guilds… if my side miss behaves, we should colectivly take responsibility and do something about it… cheating shall never ewer pay off !

There’s really nothing you can do about it other than report, trust me. The only thing we can do as players of this MMORPG is to report the hacker as it is in every other MMO we’ve played and let the Company that created the game handle the issue. To go a step further, you can screenshot/frap the person doing it and send it to A-nets email. If you aren’t aware, they actually pay people to handle these sort of issues. Blaming the guild that the hacker is representing in the screenshot is not the way to handle things. Report the problem and PUT IT TO REST; you are a player, not the games developer. Addressing this guild issue further; finding out who the person is that is hacking (which is really tricky), you need to understand that he/she could be in MULTIPLE guilds just like the person in that screenshot is. You cannot blame a single guild for the actions of one person as I have stated before when my guild was accused for hacking. Being apart of a huge guild, it is really hard to track down that single person when you have over 400 active members (ICoa filters out inactives twice every two weeks so we know this for a fact). I have said time and time again for people to PM/Mail me if they see something suspicious going on with ICoa but a few would rather post it up on the forums which is okay (I think) if we did not have a representative active on the forums. This is why I am active on the forums ladies and gentlemen, I want people to know there is someone that they can contact because Imperial Coalition actually cares about Guild Wars 2 and her community. I cannot always guarantee that my guild and I will find the perpetrator (if there is one at all), but we at least want the community to know we put up our best effort. I really hope you will understand the seriousness of my message, this type of flaming kills guilds and makes the game look unattractive. If Imperial Coalition didn’t care so much about Guild Wars 2, a majority of us would have been gone from this game 3 weeks ago which would have added to the already increasing attrition. Good luck finding the hacker though and we hope you all have a wonderful holiday…

The huge change that everyone is looking for will most likely be in the next expansion since this upcoming WvW patch won’t do much :/

I nominate Devona’s Rest because of it’s ORIGINAL members and player base… Being from Blackgate, I’ve never went against your server but anyone that is willing to fight it out in T8 for months on end and having huge WvW guilds leave time and time again is no easy task to endure. Now I see you guys getting a huge boost to tier 6 after a week long streak with 450+ in PPT. It’s one hell of a feat to make it out of t8 and continue advancing strong into the upper ranks. Really hope to see you guys up in the higher tiers where your server belongs

Under normal circumstances I would say that is Shortbow 5 (Infiltrators arrow)+ Shadow step, but even a thief with increased initiative could only use infiltrators arrow 3 times, plus Shadowstep once within a 5-6 second span. With the cost of Infiltrators arrow, you can’t keep spammin it quite as quick

So he is either exploiting something wrong with the game mechanics, or he is rockin an Ethiopian internet connection and porting all over place due to lag.

SoR hunts for people that hack, exploit and the like to get them guild kicked and banned from GW2.
ICoa, well I wont really say due to it just causing another flame war. So drop youy “SOR does it more” because at elast SoR handles it, has said thread after thread send proof to one of us about stuff like that and we will hunt people down, and get them banned. Not defend someone doing it.

Don’t take it to seriously. 1 player or even 2 doesnt make an entire server.

In general:
I myself don’t trust all of ICoa, I do know they have at least 2 people who don’t stand for exploiting, because I have been working with them in the past over some pricks on sor who were jump exploiting. To find them and get ’em banned.

It all boils down to people in life cheat, and some don’t. We can’t control which server they go to or what guilds, and it’s best to work together to rid the cheaters who ruin the fun of WvW.

I do like your guild… I don’t like you though. Every problem that has been thrown at Imperial Coalition has been handled. If you want to continuously blame a guild for an old account (which we kicked the player for doing it and told him to leave the server) then go ahead. This is only the second time this guild has had accusations thrown at it so don’t think this is an occasional thing. I especially like the part where you said 1 player or even 2 doesn’t make an entire server because if 1 player or 2 exploit from a guild then that doesn’t make a guild with 420+ members all exploiters. If you want to be immature and keep throwing accusations through forums to make yourself feel better then go for it. I wouldn’t recommend it

-Sieges on Garrison or an EB Keep against an enemy with queues on that map
-Keep ninja-ing (when you rush in, kill both servers inside, and take it for your own)

Post things like the above for your guild, those are the things that will ‘wow’ people.

I’m going to say this once more… This thread is to show the single MOST important thing that your guild has proudly accomplished as a W3 guild. In this case, Imperial Coalition is proud of the numbers we put out in WvW and this is the video that shows it. There could have been another video to show our organization but personally I feel our greatest accomplishment is how large we have become. He went high and low looking for the person that “exploited” inside and it just so happen to be himself that stayed inside the keep after it was taken. Everyone needs to realize that we can talk about these sorts of issues but we have to do it with a great deal of tact! Cheaters ruin our collective fun!

If it’s an exploit then that’s the place to post it… Posting your concern here is the wrong way to do it.

I really think GW2 needs peer review tools like LoL has. Or at the very least, an open guild that people can join to smooth over the effects of any cheating. While the cheating doesn’t really change the game, the enjoyment we all get from WvW is lessened by these types.

Of course, Anet should just remove the ability to exploit but I am sure they have “top men” on it.
