I guess I had different expectations after reading your post. I was expecting a video of a small 5-10 players running around fighting big numbers, instead I see a zerg running and fighting without a single clip showing any form of flank, portal bomb, tactics of any kind, etc. It honestly does not seem to fit the theme of your post, at least from how I read it.

Check out our other videos of us doing golem rushes if you want to see our organization… I just wanted to highlight the numbers we put out and the type of presence we bring to the server to be one of the guilds greatest achievements! It really does take a lot to build a guild up to what we have especially during the attrition the game is currently facing.

You were only outmanned AFTER you lost SM and Quentin… before that SoR had way more people than we did and we still managed to take everything. Good try defending though, we really had a great time!

I enjoyed killing your 6 omegas BG! Might want to work on your golem management though. Shouldn’t lose 6 golems to 10 or less people. I do find it entertaining that 6 golems are needed for an outmanned crew. That just made my end of the world day!

Protip – Omega’s don’t need to be on top of the door so they get seiged to death. Their attacks are ranged.

We had 0 omegas lol… 8 Alphas though :P Put the golems to good use; really glad we were able to take Langor after Blue keep and reset all your T3 towers, didn’t think they’d last that long!

I still think that Blackgate deserves to be in T1 after winning for a month straight and more than likely this week as well… Just like many SoR think they deserve to be in T1. It’s only a matter of time until one server gives in and WvW guilds begin transferring out (or dieing out). The only question is which server will be effected more.

SoR’s smear campaign at it’s finest… Too bad it’s backfiring on them and they are losing guilds. During the past 2 weeks, we’ve had 5 WvW guilds transfer to Blackgate with 2 being from SoR. A quick thumbs up to [ICoa] and Commander Dark Embers last night on Eternal Battleground. We were getting crushed by SoR and IoJ. I was about to leave after we lost Klovan Tower, Jerrifers Tower, Wildcreek Tower, Rogues Supply, and Golanta Supply. Once [ICoa] and their Commander got on the map we turned it around quick.

We ended up getting it all back and taking Quentin Tower along with Danelon Supply. We kept it all and farmed SoR for about two hours. Good battles to everyone on that map last night and thanks to Dark Embers for leading. By the end we has pushed SoR off the map.

I particularly want to thank him for speaking in chat without talking down to players. Most times Commanders just kitten or yell at pugs or players not in their guild. I’m not in a WVW guild and only WVW a few times a week. It’s nice not getting yelled at or called names when I decide to WVW.

He’s one of our newer Commanders but this feedback is definitely a + for his reputation. Thanks for the shout out we really encourage all our 32 Commanders to not be D-Bags when it comes to WvW. On another note; to Hire from IoJ… It was an enjoyable experience to go against your guild in the late hours. ICoa wishes your guild the best in Ehmry Bay and hope we have the chance of going against you again in the near future. Good luck!

For the record, Blackgate has regularly been performing on par or better than SoR during NA time the past several days so it really isn’t a fair claim that your NA is of “higher quality”, especially when we have more West Coast and you have more East Coast so the earlier and later NA times swing the opposite ways.

Really not hard to defend fully upgraded structures. With the numbers you guys have you really shouldn’t lose as much stuff as you do.

Well that’s not always the case… IoJ’s oceanic sweeps in and turns damn near everything red during the late hours. So it’s not just blue and green all the time with one server benefiting from more upgraded fortifications; that red plague affects both our servers when we’re sleeping.

Basically I love to hate BG, I just hate IoJ.

IoJ is actually a really good server but it’s disappointing to see that they aren’t doing so hot in WvW anymore. I feel as soon as they reached their goal of beating Sanctum they felt complete and decided not to put in as much effort in the following weeks. It seems to be a trend with this games community with Titan Alliance, Ruin, PRX, WM etc. If accomplishing the goal of being the best means that you’ll quit the game shortly thereafter or give a reason to leave the server then I never would want to be #1 and lose all the friends I’ve made on Blackgate and would gladly come in second in a #1 tier. ICoa has alot of respect for IoJ especially their servers community, but just because you reached your goal of beating SoR it doesn’t mean you can’t set new ones. Really hope you guys make a comeback sometime within the week before it is too late.

Hi all. This is a shout out to the ICoa guild, I believe it was imperial coalition in the eb. I greatly enjoyed playing you guys all of last night 12/8-9/2012. You guys were not pleased with my poor mesmer. I spent most of the evening kiting about 20 of you guys everywhere. Kiting inside your towers, inside the hylek area, outside sm, inside sm, inside IoJ tower which you were trying to take, well pretty much everywhere.

I particularly want to say Hi to the one thief in ICoa. We duked it out a number of times, and then at one point we just made a truce and she led her guild to chase after me. Many of them kept loosing sight of me to my amusement.

Oh and Hi to the thief in the tunnels from Icoa. I am not sure why you kept running away, but it was fun chasing you.

This is what I did most of the day on BG BL. Portal bomb siege out side east Garrison/kill/loot/profit. Run to west side of Garrison/kill/loot/profit. Push BG back out through downed wall at east garrison/kill/loot/profit. Push BG back out through downed wall on west side of garrison/kill/loot/profit. Repeated this dance more times than I can remember. This is the definition of farming. We farmed BG on both sides of garrison literally for hours upon hours.

Someone once said doing the same thing with the same result is a sign of insanity. I don’t blame the average BG zerg. I blame the commander for not being able to change their tactics when failure is the result over and over and over again. Ah, but then a certain BG commander changed his tactic…… Hey guys, everyone go to IoJ BL. BAWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Yes. Blackgate seems like a close-knit family. We’re like a lion pride, if somebody messes with any of us, they mess with all of us. It’s also a plus that no one on this server has ever been a sor loser. Blackgate ftw

I’m sure A-Net will figure something out. I doubt they aren’t aware of this WvW issue and will definitely have something planned in the future patches… I just hope it won’t be too little too late.
