Huge Pet Peeve of my trying to stack runes.

I only bring this up because I have seen other icon’s that were similar change recently (Drawings, etc).

But the Major Rune of The Flock uses the icon for the Major Rune of The Grove, instead of an icon similar to the minor/sup with the birds on it.

Could we get a new icon for the Major Rune of the Flock to match the others in its line.

When is there going to be some kind of compensation, accountability, or at least sincere apology for the repeated lackings and failures that the player base has to deal with with each piece of new content?

I enjoy the game, as can be evidenced by a couple things. But wasting hours on bugged content every two weeks without someone stepping up and taking ownership and correcting the failings is getting old

I have gotten all but Muter. I thought I had a clean run (and we severed chain) but also did not get the achievement.

Maybe a little more sensitive than the others.

Okay, so before we get too far into this discussion, here is something else to think about:
Would you rather see us make some number of small improvements in the short term and larger changes long term or just tear the whole thing down and start from scratch?

To be a bit more specific, we could probably do something like multicolor markers without too much work, although it is not a given, but that would likely be the extent of things for a long period of time.

If we could get colors now, I’d be content to wait for more down the road. Multi-color would be my #1 priority and since we have had the current system for so long, I don’t see the harm in waiting for the rest so that it can be properly implemented.

I’d say it is VERY likely they do not. After having done 30+offshoots, 10+ obelisks, and everything else in the meta except this it appears to be very SPECIFIC mobs. There are a couple Champ events that spawn alone that give credit and have gotten credit from some Champ krait. If it is intended to be on other mobs in the events the chance is either SUPER low or not functioning atm.

I don’t have issues with any but sentries and yaks which are ridiculously high. A couple like defender kills could be raised. Merc camps should give credit for both positive and negative events etc. But yaks/sentries is insane.

You only need 15 of the 19. The JPs account for the 4 extra. I hate JPs, but they are great substitutes for other achievements.

I have the meta done due to the JPs. Without them I’d still need 100 Yaks, 150 Sentries, and 4 keeps. As much as I hate JPs…. I’d rather do Obs sanctum than kill 225 Yaks or Sentries.

I just finished myself with 15.

The ones I have left after completing the meta are:

101/225 Yaks
58/225 Sentries
6/10 Keeps
25/30 Towers

Will probably get Towers done tonight or tomorrow. Keeps when we face a T2 next week (keep taking in T1 is a bear) and Yaks and Sentries whenever because there are too many of them!@

Quite the opposite for me as well. I feel like the last 2 metas were casual friendly since they could be achieved both with the event achievements and daily achievements. I haven’t felt over pressured to spend all my time doing event stuff. I can dabble and still have time for other things.

What professions *shouldn't* attempt this?

I have no issues with my ranger in the zerg, in fact, I typically have better survivability with him than I do with my warrior. And so what if you play defense? Someone needs to. The first couple of times I took down Teq, I was on turret defense/finger killing. Someone has to do it, all jobs are important.

So it wasn't impossible.

I have 4 Teq kills so far. In its current state it won’t be a spur of the moment event. People will need to be there ready and in place for it to go. And even then it will take a lot of coordination. I still think the timer will end up being extended at some point to allow people to get to the event.

I didn’t get it when I hit multiple batteries during each phase and killed Teq.

I did get it when I only hit one unique battery each phase and killed Teq.

So try and make sure to hit one event per phase.

Am I wrong in this line of thought?

I think the opinion thus far is either it is a scaling issue, a coordination issue or both.

My server (Yak’s Bend) last night did finally topple Tequatl after hitting Hard-Cap with nearly everyone in comms. Glorious yes, but when you consider all the factors involved, Tequatl does seem like content that could easily be…well, not clearable even once a day. Would not surprise me if people decide that Tequatl would be done on a certain day, just for that chance at the very money-making mini, ascended weapons with a dark mist effect, and other things.

I can only hope Arenanet is aware of this and is hoping to work him slightly after Boss Week is up. The Tequatl Achievements I believe are in the game permanently.

This is my concern. I have The Sunbringer title and have been a part of several Teq kills. But the level of coordination needed means the current event will never be “oh hey Teq is up, let me go join in”. Unless you are there ahead of time, no shot.

I am glad to be done for now camping the main zone for hours on end to make sure I have my spot.

Right. Because all those servers and overflows have everyone working tightly together and coordinated through voice chat. And everyone will, of course, be running the proper consumable items.

The beautiful thing about over tuning it right from the start is that they can adjust it downwards and everyone will be THANKFUL for it.

It would be impossible for them to make him to easy from the start and then have to buff (nerf) him later. People would kitten far more if they took this rout than the other.

I’m honestly shocked more people have yet to realize this.

Or just test your content instead of trying to force something out every 2 weeks.

The scaling is off, b/c the testing appears to be “Well, we tried it with some devs and a few others and couldn’t beat it, so it is good to go live.”

Maybe we are missing obvious mechanics, but with full overflowed zones and turrets up the whole time we aren’t even coming close. Not even to 75%.

And who the hell plays 24 hours a day?
I for my part am working right now. I can make 1 to 2 invasion events per day.
Just leave it at random imho. A set pattern or any other system, no matter, what you do, there is no way, everyone can be happy.

At least once a day is better than once every three days (or whatever the frequency of Timberline/Maelstom are).

You are missing Timberline Falls which I believe was the 5th map after reset (Hirathi, Blaze, Fireheart. Frostgorge, then Timberline) and hasn’t appeared since.

Nonetheless the rotation needs to be fixed.

Geez you do not have to finish all your achievements in day 3+whenever you want. You still have 11 days. You can waste your time doing something else till RNG gods give what you want.

That’s not the point. It’s horrible not being able to commit to doing anything else with my time since I know I HAVE to check once every hour to see if it’s a spesific map. That is a massive burden on my time, and it’s not fun.

This. I have been waiting for one map to show up, the rotation should be a little more frequent for all maps. The run of 3 out of 4 being FS last night is just silly.

Every server gets the same invasions, and yes the logic needs a lot of work.

The only zone I haven’t done is Mt Maelstrom and that came up only once since patch at 5am my time.

Frostgorge and Fireheart are favored way too much at the expense of other zones. At first I thought it was a list but seeing those over and over means something else is up.

Since we need to get EVERY zone for achievements, they all should happen with greater regularity.

As always with this content (the Gauntlet in general) the way to go is DPS DPS DPS. Zerkers win the day again. Especially with the time aspect, any kind of bunker/hybrid/tough build is basically useless for these. I understand it is fun to watch people drop from the sky. But if you actually WANT something other than full DPS to do things, then allow for it.

I stopped doing them with my ranger, put Zerker gear on a warrior and just walked up to the early tiers and melee’d their faces. Yay for strategy?

Found my awesomium log and it had an error in it.

Went to my Users\<usr>\AppData\Temp and deleted the gw2cache folder and my BLTC works again.

I am having the exact same problem. Nothing comes up in the BLTC. I have had an issue before where I AFK for a while and need to reload GW2. But this is different.

I have reloaded, rebooted and still nothing comes up for BLTC. The awesonium (or whatever) process started.

The content was a neat idea, but poorly implemented with awful scaling. When the only real way to beat this is to avoid combat is silly. I too would like to watch the videos of the devs playing this content.

And I won’t even go into the absurd language used to select the tiers. Just say, Tier 1, Tier 2, if that is what you mean.
