In addition to my really long feedback posts I wanted to add that the Mystic Forge recipe for combining 4 Endless Tonics should just have given you a high chance of getting Endless Gift Dolyak Tonic and a small chance of Endless Toymaker’s Tonic.
It’s very expensive to craft the Endless Tonics because you almost get no Glue or Wads so you’ll be forced to use the TP and the success rate is pretty low.

It took me a total of 25 tries to get my 4 Endless Tonics (and from what I’ve heard I might even have to consider myself lucky). This cost me 12.500 Glue+Wads (total), while you only get 1.250 from Tixx. I looted only 75 Wads from the Gifts, because the drop chance is horrible resulting in me having to buy 11.175 Glue+Wads (total and I’m not even starting about the time spent keeping track of the TP prices). And all that to get the fifth Endless Tonic I hadn’t created yet, which pretty much forced me to forge that into the mini because the Endless Tonics are account bound. Also with the merchant not selling frames anymore, this was the only chance I had to craft me a better tonic.

It basically feels like a kick in the crotch to see that forge result pop up. So please for following events, not every-kitten-thing has to be RNG with horrible odds.

That is a matter of ANet balancing the skills, not a problem with the idea itself.

As far as I’m concerned, it’s a matter of opinion whether an attunement is weaker then another on the same weapon.

Which only reinforces my idea for specializing. Choosing attunements that suit you over ones that don’t. Some people prefer DPS and defensive power of fire and earth over the Supportive strengths of Water or CC/Mobility of Air.

Please don’t make assumptions like “it would ruin balance”, or “it conflicts with how things are now”. That’s all determined by ANet’s decisions, not the current status-quo.

Actually it’s not. They deliberately based the skills around the whole four attunements system, to balance the profession compared to other professions. This would lead to completely changing the mechanisms and skills of Elementalists.
The four attunements system is the status-quo here and it’s all meant for Ele’s to be versatile and have normal damage skills combined with situational skills. This could lead to OP Ele’s because they only want to take the damage skills so they can glass-cannon everything, because of the damage output. This is however just not how it works in this game. Every profession has skills to balance it out, because all have to be hybrids (no healing profession).
So that’s why I’m against this idea and just want us to have the ability to swap weapons while out of combat, purely for convenience.

Toy Soldier & Princess Doll Tonic Sound Bugs

Hi,

I just noticed that while in the Toy Soldier or Princess Doll transformation there is a bug with the sounds.

  • Toy Soldier: There is a lot of delay in the falling sound after jumping and it seems to trigger every time you jump.
  • Princess Doll: There is a lot of delay in the falling sound after jumping and it seems to trigger every time you jump and your character’s voice is still heard.

Plush Griffon seems to work fine and the other’s I can’t check because I don’t have them.

Wep-Swap for Ele -> Give up 2 Attunements

I don’t see how this would be better than having the ability to swap weapons while out of combat with one button. This just seems very confusing to new players, basically destroys the whole concept of Attuning and is difficult to implement, while the alternative option is pretty simple.

I’m glad that there’s finally a game with an elementalist/mage/wizard class that actually let’s you use all elements instead of forcing you to only use one because that’s better. It’s called Elementalist, because it masters all elements.

Plus having an element that works best for a weapon-set is only logical, because if all attunements for all sets were completely equal Elementalists would be OP. Now you do have an element that might work best, but you are still always better off if you attune to different elements during battles because those weaker elements are more situation-based.

Look, I’m all for sticking to design and color schemes, its just the forums are really, really bland. Other than names and the very top of the forums, everything is solid black/white. Would it be possible for more themes to be made to accompany this as the default?

Being able to choose a different theme (still GW2 ofcourse) would be a good fix for this. I personally don’t have a problem with the colors as they are now, but I can imagine if you do it’s annoying. Lot’s of forums give you theme options, so why not

It seems to link to https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/members/<Display_Name>/posts instead of https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/members/<Display_Name>/showposts. Links to Show Post pages were probably changed at some time. Added screenshot for clarity.

I’ve been looking for that button for ages, so it doesn’t exist eh? Guess that explains a lot. Seems like who ever was in charge on the “No brainer list of to-do’s” forgot what he was supposed to do before launch.

Lol yeah it’s pretty weird that they did think of the next and previous buttons, but not of the first button (and possibly a last button aswell). Well if this thing get’s enough +1’s we might have a shot at accomplishing something today

I would love to have this. Not just the first A-Net post, but the next A-Net post. It would be a very nice addition to the forums.

Next ANet post is already there. Or at least it jumps to the next post of the same employee, but usually only one employee responds in a topic anyway.

Option to make the night darker

Ugh. Maybe if this were a quick and easy thing for ANet to add as an opt-in option in the graphics menu — but I sure don’t want to play the game that way. I appreciate realism where appropriate, but not at the cost of my ability to see what’s going on or where I’m going. Being unable to see for half the game does not equal a good time.

I’d actually rather have an op-in option to disable the nighttime effects so I don’t have to wait for 40 kitten minutes after every 70 minutes of daytime before I can take a normal screenshot for GW2W again… But maybe that’s just me. (screenshots during nighttime aren’t as clear as screenshots during daytime)

However if this get’s into the game, let it be an opt-in option

Hi,

This is something that has actually been bugging me right from the start. There is no option to immediatly jump to the first ANet post if there is any in a topic. It’s great that we have the “jump to next post of this ANet employee” button at the left of a ANet post, but it’s really annoying if you are looking for actual verification or a response from the team that you have to click through page after page after page in some topics. Especially when it turns out the ANet post was just a post about the topic being moved or having it’s name changed. It would be great if we could have the option to do this in just on simple click.

I can’t imagine this being impossible to implement, since the topic icon does automatically change whenever an ANet employee has posted in a topic and other forums also have this feature (e.g. Blizzard’s forum). So why not make that icon a link?

EDIT: And it would also be great if this new feature could be added to the Forum Profile>Show Posts page aswell, because topics are bumped down very quickly. That way you can still keep track of ANet employee responses and get to them in one click.

Tonics & transformations: a few questions

Hi,

I was wondering if I could get some ANet verification on a few questions I have about (Endless) Mystery Tonic and tonics and transformations in general, since the 25/09/12 update.

  1. Are all Basic rarity tonics (which aren’t buyable) now craftable in the Mystic Forge or are some now unobtainable?
    e.g. Red Moa Tonic has no known recipe
  2. Are all Basic rarity tonics (which aren’t buyable) now possible transformation outcomes for (Endless) Mystery Tonic (beast) or are some now unobtainable?
    e.g. Floater Tonic was listed as a BLC drop and has a MF recipe, but isn’t a known possible transformation outcome for (Endless) Mystery Tonic
  3. Does (Endless) Mystery Tonic really have more commonly and more rarely transformations or do all outcome options have the same chance?
    e.g. Boar being a common and Eagle being a rare transformation outcome for (Endless) Mystery Tonic
  4. Are the Charged, Cold, Hard and Warm Potions or their respective transformations (the Elementals) now unobtainable?

My guess is the answers will be: Yes, Yes, No and Yes. Is that correct?

Frames no longer buyable?

I think you guys are out of luck sadly. Can’t imagine them removing them on purpose, because I see no reason for that. But it seems that as soon as an event is over that forum is left untouched. They will probably read through things, either now or later on. But I don’t think they will open a new discussion in the forum after an event is over. And since it has been a few days now I don’t see it getting fixed anymore.

Part 2:

Festival Hat
To continue with the finales. I dislike the Festival Hat system as it works now. It doesn’t have that “feel” to press O and buy the Festival Hat for 0 gems. They should be handed out during the finales. That’s what makes them special. Me being able to order 100+ of them through the mail is no fun. I did like it that during this event only one hat was given. During Halloween we had the Gem store hat and the finale hat, which also made them feel less special. Still I would have gone with the finale mechanics and not the gem store mechanics.

Now my comments on the Wintersday hat. I didn’t care for it at all. Halloween gives us a Witch’s Hat, which was perfectly fine. It was Halloween and it fits with the story. But how does a Wizard’s Hat fit into the Wintersday theme? Plus it is way too similar to the Witch’s Hat. Also not being able to dye it makes it even worse. This one really needs reworking.

And ofcourse we would need a Town’s Clothing NPC. Not just for people who buy gem store outfits, but also for these event hats. It’s a great place to store them and to create another for a different character. I’m not going to hold onto 5 copies of a festival hat in my Bank so that all my characters can wear it. Last note on Festival Hats, it really is a pity that you can’t wear them in combat. The Costume system in GW1 was more fun, also because switching to Town’s Clothing when in town or out of combat is too inconvenient. This needs a better system.

Activity (Bell Choir)
The Bell Choir was amazing. The only comment I have here is that the Bells should have been rewards from Bell Choir aswell. Being good at it should be rewarded with the item, not with Gifts with a drop rate of less than 1%. It’s great that more Activities are added during these events, but please focus more on Activities that will be there forever now. The base for a lot of activities is already there, but they are still not working. It feels like they are being ignored/abandoned.

Weapon Skins
It was great that themed weapon skins were also available ingame now. The only problem is that the skins should be more similar in awesomeness. I know this is tough, but it doesn’t take a genius to find out that the Princess Wand would become the most popular. This shouldn’t really be the case. With Halloween the Greatsword wielders had it, now the Scepter wielders. It should be more equal so that all weapon types have fun new skins.

Decorations
Decorations were great, but I was missing them in the other big cities. I loved that Tixx would also visit the other cities, but there were no decorations there. It almost felt like Tixx just made some random stops to get some fuel or something. That needs work. Also the things that Tixx or any NPC in other events brings to a new city should be more diverse. That way people will actually explore the city that day, instead of just warping in and out for the instance only. It sad to see such beautiful cities being turned into ghost towns just because there is nothing to do. The Activities would ofcourse help a lot with this problem. But again for these to become popular, the joining system needs to be reworked.

Presents throughout Tyria
The presents spread throughout Tyria was a nice touch, but it would be more fun if an Achievement was made for it. But the whole idea of using the now mostly abandonned maps was good, it could just use a little more diversity. I also missed the scavenger hunt here. If the presents were more like that people would travel from map to map more instead of finding the best farm spot. People that complain that low levels can’t reach the areas, should either try harder to level more for it, join a guild to get help from friends or accept that after playing a game for a week you can’t expect to participate in all content from the start.

Release in Acts
All in all it was a long event, which I think was great. But especially because this event was so long, gradually releasing content would have been better. The way the Halloween event changed and increased in size over time was amazing and kept it interesting. I fear that many abandonned the event halfway now because the content already started to get old and only became a grind fest. I don’t mean to say here that less is more and you should have smaller events, but content should be released more over time to keep it diverse and interesting. Also a new explorable area like we had in Halloween would be great for Wintersday aswell. But with more to do than just farm/grind. Especially if it changes over time.

Part 1:

Overall
I think the event was overall good. I liked being able to craft the tonics, but this lead to the Glue and Wads to become even more needed which was annoying because you couldn’t really obtain them besides buying them in the TP. There is no fun or sense of accomplishment in simply buying mats and they were way to expensive throughout the event because of the rarity of looting a stack out of Gifts.

Mini-pets
Also I dislike having two different sets of mini-pets during one event. It shouldn’t be RNG if you buy them with gems and if they are obtainable ingame they shouldn’t be in the Gem store. It’s nice to be rewarded with mini-pets for once, but this 2/5 (and later for some 3/5) system isn’t the way. Also they shouldn’t be stored with the same button as mats. This makes them difficult to use.

JP (Winter Wonderland)
When it comes to the JP, I was kind of disappointed in comparison to the Halloween JP. This one was way easier, but I get that after all the complaints you had to try a new approach. Still seperate difficulty modes could be useful, e.g. easy mode gives you 2 minutes to complete, hard only 1 minute. That’s if you want to satisfy the entire player base. But I don’t think that has to be done with every single element of the game. I like having elements that not everyone can complete, because they are difficult. This makes a game interesting and will lead to people pushing theirselves to the limit. but difficulty modes could also work. I wouldn’t suggest holding on to this difficulty level for future JP’s without a harder option. Btw Claudius, I love how you handle this. Eventhough you can’t complete it yourself, you don’t want to take the fun away for people like me who can. Thank you for that. So the middle road with difficulty modes should satisfy both sides.

Snowball Fight (Snowball Mayham)
The Snowball Fight and Tixx instances were great, but as mentioned by others before, we should be able to party up, while also having the option to join alone and be placed into a team. Most don’t like PuG’s, but for some it’s the only option they have at that time.

Wintersday Gifts
I don’t think different sized Gifts for different levels is the right way to go. This way the economy around Gifts was spread over 4 seperate items. In my opinion it would be better to have one size and let the mats be random. Low levels can always use higher level mats, because eventually they will reach that level. High levels can always use lower level mats, because they either have lower level alts or can sell them on the TP to lower levels.

The loot tables for Gifts should be more rewarding. After opening 10 and realising you basically traded in 100 Ugly Wool Sweaters for 10 Ugly Wool Sweaters will disappoint you and lead to avoidance of them in general. The Halloween loot tables were better in that way.

Schedule
I loved the schedule you made for us with times and places. Keep that up. You really do need to work on the planning for release times. There should be a specific time available when the update goes live. Only giving us a date will eventually kitten people off, because not everyone is in the same timezone and people are waiting. I’d rather have you say a few hours before the planned release that due to difficulties the release has been postponed by an hour then to not know anything at all. Because this is also unfair to the people who can’t sit in front of their pc all day to wait for a release. This way people from different timezones have a disadvantage because they have an unequal chance to be there from the start of the event.

Event Finale
I really missed a big finale… Every event should have a finale to celebrate the fun you had during the entire event. Sure the Ancient Karka finale didn’t work out as planned, but that doesn’t mean finales should be removed entirely. The way finales were/are in GW1 is perfect. Having it repeat for every three hours for an entire day gives everyone a fair shot at it. If people are on holiday, well that was their choice for one. And they shouldn’t complain for having the ability to go on holiday. Especially since the main part of the finales is afk-friendly, everyone could have a shot at it. I personally also love the one-time-only events, but I can understand how it can be cruel if you can’t be there. So just make them repeat for a whole day and this isn’t a big deal.

When do the collectors leave?

As long as they announce it long enough before they leave (so more than half a day up front) it’s okay. If they just remove them at some point without announcing it that would suck for the people who have/are still buying Wintersday Gifts, because the gifts give you Ugly Wool items most of the time and those items would be useless without the NPC…

So please give us an announcement like three days up front so we can prepare our stashes

Wintersday in July in GW2?

Well it looks like ANet is planning to release new content every month, so it could very well be that in July they will give us the return of Wintersday in July. But I’m not so sure if they will. It mostly felt like they just wanted to add another holiday event in GW1 to fill the gap between the regular events and Wintersday in July was just an easy way to achieve this. But they really put a lot of effort into the holiday events themselves and combined with monthly updates my guess is that they will either just release new content in July and create a holiday event in August to celebrate the release or create a new holiday event in July and create a large update for August in combination with some festivities.

Sure there will be partying but that usually doesn’t start on 31st at 09:00h. In GW1 they just made the event run every three hours from about 31-12 12:00h – 01-01 12:00h (American times, but this lead it for European players to start on 01-01 so they had no problem at all with that), that way every timezone should have a shot at being there for at least one of the finale’s. Especially with the finales allowing afk players to get the surprise hat and at least some of the goodies. For me it’s kind of a let down not to go out with a blast in GW2 aswell. Not that I’ll be at home sobbing all day because there is no GW2 Wintersday finale instead of celebrating the new year but you get what I mean :P

Tixx's Infinirarium&Daily Kill Variety Achiev

That’s normal. All event mobs don’t belong to any monster type (same was during Halloween). Also they don’t count toward any “slayer” achievement, except skritts, but those are normal enemies.

But wouldn’t it be more logical if they either count towards all kill achievements or none at all? Also I believe I killed Skritt in the instance aswell, which should have counted as a mob type for Daily Kill Variety, but it didn’t.

Hey,

I just noticed that the mobs in Tixx’s Infinirarium do count for your Daily Kills achievement, but not for your Daily Kill Variety achievement. This seems like a bug to me. Pretty weird to have killed 60 mobs, without killing a single type of enemy…

Option to skip Winter Wonderland Cinematic

Hi there,

It would be nice if an option to skip the Winter Wonderland entering cinematic could be added like other cinematics have. It’s a small thing, but after seeing it a few times, it becomes somewhat annoying because it can result in having to wait an entire run when you enter.
At least keep it in mind for upcoming repeatable events with an entering cinematic.

a point to bring up, is that if they made cogs grindable, nobody would spend gems to get the toys because they would grind them all in no time at all. Anet gotta eat too!

You may agree or disagree with this decision, but considering it’s a business afterall, it’s a sound decision from their perspective.

Sure but they already added a set of mini’s you can get in the Gem Store by buying those Wintersday Mystery Boxes. I think they should have just let us craft all 5 or that they should have only added 2. Now fully participating in the event still leaves you with less than half a collection.
And we don’t really need two seperate sets of mini’s in the Gem Store for just one event, a bit overkill imo.

Option to leave Overflow queue at any time

Hi,

I don’t know if others also annoy themselves about this, but whenever I’m in an Overflow server (especially during events) I sometimes don’t want to leave the queue. Still I will have to wait for the popup message that the normal server is ready for me, to be able to get rid of the popup. I would like an option to leave the Overflow queue at any time so I don’t have to wait until half my screen get’s blocked, sometimes leading to death or failure (e.g. Jumping Puzzles).

Also it should be possible to reenter the queue if you left it at some point, without having to rezone first.

I’m sorry about your physical limitation, but you can’t expect a gaming company to adjust the game so that everyone with every disability can play all the content. I’m glad to hear you can play most of the game fine and I think you should probably focus on what you can do eventhough you have this limitation, instead of what you can’t do. Games aren’t tailor-made for anyone and we can’t ask that either because that would be rather selfish. I personally love the JP’s and I would hate to see them leave, but there is also stuff that I can’t get or probably not for a very long time. Though I won’t ask for that content to be removed just so that I can do all the content. I hope you don’t take this in the wrong way, because it’s not meant as an insult to you.

Talking to BL Trader opening BLTC in Pick Up

Hi there,

Just a small thing but it would be nice if the BLTC opened in the Pick Up screen when you talk to the Black Lion Trader [Trading Post] NPC instead of in the Trading Post itself, since people only walk to it to pick up stuff. Can’t imagine people walking up to the NPC just to browse etc. because you can just do that with O.

Would be nice to get a specific time soon, a bit afraid that if I join e.g. a dungeon run now I might get kicked midway because of the patch. So a heads up of more than a few mins or so this time would be nice. Really looking forward to the patch!

EDIT: Just heard that in dungeons the countdown is always increased to 3 hours instead of 3 mins so this isn’t really a problem then. Still I would really like to know :P

"Lifetime Survivor" achievement bug ?

In theory you could sit on a story step entrance for a quick teleport. They tend to be in safe areas, but close enough to enemies a determined player could abuse them. There might be other cases I can’t think of right now.

Never even thought of that. Yeah that could be an exploit then, but still it’s only an Achievement, it doesn’t even have a title bound to it. If someone decides to get it that way, I wouldn’t mind because you can’t do anything with it.

Also I got mine in Cursed Shore unintentionally when I was doing some event farming, apparently was there long enough :P So that might be a good place to try and get it!

Did you change maps at any point? That will reset your progress. (So players can’t abuse it by switching to another map when they’re about to die.)

Why would that be an exploit btw? You can only die while in combat (except for falling damage but well) and in combat you can’t use WP’s to travel. And almost on all maps there are no mobs near the portals (sort of safe entering zones) meaning that if you run to a portal to a different map, you should already be out of combat mode and out of danger.

All I know is I completed the achievement yesterday, so it isn’t bugged for everyone. But I have seen many reports about this achievement being stuck, but I believe those reports were from some time ago.

Annoying Sound Bug

I just got the sound bug again during Claw of Jormag, this time however it cost me the chest because when I got the bug, I also got the error that sometimes comes with it and my game crashed, after relogging I ofcourse lost my Pact Bazooka and couldn’t switch to a ranged weapon anymore (D/D Ele) and decided it would be best to help with the spawns instead of trying to get close to him and deal damage. Now I didn’t get the freaking chest. I damaged him before the crash but apparently that doesn’t count… Also after I logged back in I got the sound bug again within 3 seconds or so, this time however without the error&crash.

In my view, people will join WvW to farm nodes

Is it that terrible to go without WvW for this holiday event? For as far as we know there are only two major holiday events: Halloween and Wintersday. The other events will probably be smaller or just releasing new maps/content. It’s not like the WvW maps will be crowded during these kinds of events anyway. Because most people like to check out these special new things which aren’t there to stay, instead of doing what they normally do.

If people want a holiday event not te be about raging, then just don’t rage… There, it’s really that simple. Raging over a gambling box you bought yourself is stupid, just don’t buy the damn thing if you aren’t looking for tough odds.
The JP in Halloween was fine, way better than the Lost Shores one actually, because that one was too easy. If you aren’t good at JP’s and will rage when you can’t make it through, just don’t do it. Or try it and if you feel a rage coming, stop doing it. They didn’t tie anything other than the Mad King’s Boots to the JP specifically so that people could always decide not to do it, without missing out on overall event completion.

To sum it up: raging has to do with you. You control it, not Anet so don’t blame them for people’s lack of self-control.

Because up until this event… every time given for a European timed event in GW2, has been given in UTC/GMT, and NOT CET. Quite a few people will have no clue what CET is and how it applies to them.

For the sake on consistency, GMT should always be used for English European timings. CET should be used for French/German/whatever else language European timings. Mixing and matching between the two, is just adding more confusion to the mix.

If someone doesn’t know what CET stands for and how it compares to GMT they could just look it up and learn something new. I wouldn’t care if they only gave us the times in PST (although I never use that myself), because if I’m having doubts I can always use Google. You only need one timezone to check what time it starts for you and as I said earlier GW2 players should be able to do the math.

Don’t forget that the teams working on events vary (if I read that correctly) so it could differ who is working on an event page. Probably that person is more familiar with CET and that’s why they gave us the times in CET this time. Be glad they even took the time to give us a European timezone aswell, normally you only see the American timezones in online gaming because that’s the server time.

Why would it cause confusion really? The game is rated PEGI 12 so we can assume that all the players are at least 12 and a 12 year old should be able to either add 6 to PST or to subtract 1 from CET, it’s not magic or something. Sure GMT/UTC would be more logical to use, because Europeans also use this themselves, but work your brain a little Or just use Google :P I think Anet has better things to do than add timezones.

Yeah the crafting recipes for holiday skins could be lowered a bit. I can’t imagine anyone actually crafting the Halloween skins.

Under most circumstances I would agree with you that it was probably my connection, especially considering I’m wireless, but I play with a friend of mine and she always takes longer to load into zones then I do, and she had no trouble at all in the Clock Tower. I even turned my graphics to baseline to see if that would speed my load up but every time without fail I heard myself sink into the goo before the cutscene ended. You’re correct though, this could have been avoided with a countdown after the cutscene, or only having the cutscene play the first time you enter, or a whole host of other things.

Weird, well I can see how that would be annoying. Let’s hope they implemented a fix for that in this JP, because I would sure hate to see the timed element being removed. It just made the puzzle so frustratingly good!

Well is it that bad that a game element requires some level of skill from players and practice? If you’re not able to do it or don’t want to invest into practicing then you just have to accept that you can’t make it. Sure it’s a holiday event but that doesn’t mean that there can’t be any challenges. There also are other stuff you can only get or make if you practice them a lot ingame and are a skilled player and that’s great because these things should be rewarded aswell. Anet will always make sure that the majority of the content is suited for everyone.
I don’t believe a harder JP than Clocktower is needed, but if they do add it I already know that I will keep on trying it until I make it to the top again!

I hope it’s not timed for pure point of fact that there were a number of people, myself included, who were unable to do the Clock Tower due to the fact that we were underwater by the time we loaded in and were immediately sent back to the lobby before we even got a chance to do the puzzle.

Didn’t have lag or slow loading times at all inside, because there were only a few people allowed per Overflow. Couldn’t this have something to do with your internet connection? However even if this was Anet’s fault this can also be fixed easily by adding a short countdown once people can enter the JP instead of completely removing the timed element.

So is the toy workshop like a dungeon?

I think a chance would be better since it’s a holiday event and that shouldn’t really be about good rewards, but more about fun. Plus since it’s probably redoable like AtM always receiving a decent reward could lead to imbalances and ofcourse a lot of whiners. Ofcourse a decent reward on first completion could be nice (this time per character and not per account while making the item Soulbound), but I still don’t think it should be much more than a cosmetic thing only.

Sticky an up to date list with known bugs

Hi there,

It would be great if the Bugs forum had a sticky containing all the known bugs. Now the staff has to reply to specific threads, while most of the time there are multiple threads containing the same bug report. And once the post has been made, the thread is usually on a different page already.
It would save time if the staff just kept an updated version of the list, by adding a bug to it once it’s known and by deleting it once it’s fixed. This could prevent some of the double posting and make it easier to see for us that you’ve read the report and are working on it.
You don’t have to put ETA’s in there or additional info unless you want to specify something, but just being able to find out if you know of a bug or if it even is a bug or an intended change will help us. At the moment there are bug reports that haven’t been replied to for over a month. At least for as far as we can see, because it’s not that easy to find all threads concerning a specific bug now. It might be that there has been a replu in a different thread that has died out, while we all feel we’re being ignored.

Just see it as an investment in your active community

I think it will be a dungeon and the setup will be similar to the Halloween dungeon. Probably just one event/battle inside with a chance of a nice reward in the end.

Thanks for the tip! Now I usually don’t bother going to LA or the dungeon map to look for a party, because I already assume it will either take long or will not work at all, while constantly being muted for “spamming” and paying WP costs all the time. Now I can just Alt+Tab out of the game and check if finding a party for a dungeon is possible at that time.

I don’t mind using player-made websites, because they are just so useful and it takes some of the load off of Anet so they can focus on the more important things like the many bug fixes that are necessary. If we can do things ourselves, why not just do it? I love gw2spidy.com (although it seems unreachable atm) and gw2carthographers.com (eventhough it’s becoming more and more out of date) for example, because they usually do the trick. So what’s the point in asking Anet to create something similar?

We’re looking into this issue now, but as it’s definitely an edge case (working on some servers, not others), it may take us more time to identify what’s causing the problem. Thank you in advance for your patience as we work this out.

It’s great that this bug was acknowledged and that you’re looking into it. I get that this could be a complicated bug and isn’t fixed overnight, but it would be nice to get an update on this, since your post is now a month old. Thanks in advance!
