I’m still a noob, so feel free to criticize my build and give me a better build or advice/tips.
30 in Alchemy: VI (5 cd protection from crowd controls), IX ( Backpack Regen), XI (HGH)
20 Inventions: First one can be anything in Adept. It can be reduced falling damage or 33% reduced damage to my healing turret or stealth when immbolize, lots of options. The second is power shoes 25% movement speed.
20 FireArms. I in adept for recharge flamethrower. Then, Jaggernaut.

For Utilities, Flamethrower and Elixer B are my core. Third are optionals. Elixer R for solo conente. Exlier S if I need a bit survivability. Elixer C, when I’m in groups or needs condi removal. Elite is Supply Crate.

1. Ranger – THE MOST HATED CLASS
2. Engineer – THE MOST UNDERRATED CLASS, too many people crying for bug fixes and buff turrets.
3. Warrior – TONE DOWN THIS OP SUPERIOR CLASS.

1. Ranger – THE MOST HATED CLASS in Gw2 for SO LONG.
2. Engineer – The most underrated class, and were less popular, because people say they were difficult. Also, people have been crying to Fix and buff TURRETS. I’ve been hearing this alot, players would rather choose mesmers and eles in dungeons then Engineers and RAnger.
3. Mesmer/Ele – Majority of people say Mesmer is very painful to level. While Ele is one of the hardest to level. I say buff their pve leveling skills, so more people can enjoy the class, rather than crafting to level them up. However, tone down a little bit of mesmer’s pvp skills.

oh and please tone down WARRIORS. They are considered OP in everyway in pvp, pve, and wvw.

Currently I use this in pve, is it good or meh?. What are you thoughts?. Engineer is my first char, and my only level 80.

um I haven’t been in wvw in a long time. I guess edge of the mist is part of wvw. Now when I say zerg, when I go there, I always, i mean I always see numbers. If i dont follow my team, there will be more than 5 people jumping on me. Twice about 20 chased me down by myself.. That’s whY I follow where the my team are, because I get loots, chest rewards, I level up too. Is it better in wvw (battle ground) then edge of the mist?.

My suggestions are
1. Blighted Skale or Skelk?
– Withdraw : Stealth for 3 seconds and remove all conditions. 40 cd
- Bite 8 cd
- Wild Strike : slash twice 20 cd
Unique f2 skill – Sneak Attack : Shadow Step to your opponent and blind them for 3 seonds. 30 cooldowns.

2. Dolphin (Aquatic)
– body slam 20 cd knock back effect
- Poke 1/2 cd.
- Playful Trickster : 20 cool down, evade all attacks for 2 seconds.
Unique f2 skill : grants buff, increase swimming speed and to nearby allies?

3. Dolyak
- Headbutt : 8 cd.
- Think Skin: 1/2 cd. passively increase Toughness and Vitality to you and itself.
- Harmonic Cry: Regen itself, 40 cd.
Unique F2 skill : Charge knock them down. 30 cd.

4. Griffon
- Frenzy Attack : 8 cd
- Scratch: multiple times. 20 cd.
- Fury Strike : bleeds 30 cd.
special skill f2 : swoosh, attacks from above, while flying.

5. Jungle Raptor

I need an advice or tips. I know before I said I was going to save wvw when I get bored of pve. Currently, I decided to check the new map for the first time today, Edge of the mist with my 37 ranger. I just wanted to take a break from grinding for a while, and i want to know which two pets are best for zerg vs zerg?. At the moment, I use LastTail, spider, then sometimes wolf/brown bear.

hey Engineer was my first char, because of turrets. It is very hard for the first 20 levels. I used rifle, pistols, and turrets. I was a noob :p I didn’t use traits or other kits back then. I quit, because I was just too squishy and weak damage. I made a guardian, omg was very easy mode compare to my engineer. However, after 50, I got bored, and decided to go back to my Engineer. This time I googled, watch youtubes, and checked forum for builds and stuff. about about level 30+ I was switching Flame Thrower, elixer gun and grenades. They told me, flamethrower scale well with power. It was fun again, until I hit 60, I went with healing bomb. It became easy mode, I felt like a guardian haha. Later I switch jaggaernaut flamethrower. That’s what make engineer fun!, so many builds and versatility. One time I had 30 in inventions when I got lazy, was doing mini dynamic events by myself. I let my three turrets do all the killing xD while I relax, browsed, came back and I was still alive. xD (healing turret).

edit. Don’t wvw for leveling. You should not hurry to get to 80, you will get bored of the game fast. Imo, you should try to enjoy open world pve while leveling first, and join a guild that does events.

I have a level 37 ranger atm, but for me
God tier : None
Tier one:
When I"m in groups or dungeon (Jungle Stalker for aoe might, fern hound for aoe regen, Drake for aoe dps/tankyness/blash finisher, and spiders for combo field in dynamic events. It helps me get a credit, when there are mostly high levels and I"m low level). For solo leveling pve, I would say, Lynx, Drake, and jelly.

Tier two: Jaguar, Shark, Felines, Birds, Canines,

Tier three: Bears, Moa, the rest with the exception of Boars.

Junk Tier: Boars.

you can’t tank in this game

If we can’t tank in this game, how come I was able to withstand(didnt die at all) mobs 5 levels above me in a higher level personal quest as a guardian?(it was the order of whisper quest). How come I was able to kill a skill point mob who was 9 levels above me and didnt die?.

I’ve been reading the forums, and from what I gathered, it seems to be the only superior class in GW2. People keep saying, “just re-roll to a warrior”

Empower give syou 12 seconds of might. Currently, I have 20 boon dura attributes. Plus 15% might duration for my runes. I use Empower again, and it only gives me 13 seconds.. really one second?. =/

I’m kinda new to this game, even though I started last December. My first char was Engineer. It is now level 80, just by doing personal quest, hearts, dynamic events, and stuff. I’m still new to dungeons. heck I haven’t even started crafting yet xD. I don’t have a guild currently, so I just do dungeons with random people. Lately, with the current build I started loving it in open world pve, but not really in dungeons . I have full exotics gear ( precision + power crit damage). 30 in fire arms, Rifleflamethtower (jaggernaut), Elixer B, and the googles for more fury. I admit, I hit hard, than my old build, however I die way to fast in dungeons. My old build (tanky healer bomb build). Low dps, but I felt like a guardian while leveling. Guardian was my second char, I stop playing Enginner after 21 back when I didn’t know about builds and all I was using was a rifle and pistols. I eventualy got bored of my guardian level 51, came back to engineer(I enjoy engineer more) and now level 80. I’m saving pvp/wvw, when I get bored of leveling chars or pve in general.

TLDR; I need tips and advice for my first level 80, Engineer in Dungeons.

oh I see, thank you Norjena. I have one more thing to ask, which family pet benefits more or becomes the strongest, If I add 10 traits in BM (Master’s Bond)?. In terms of Pve leveling.

i’m new in this forum and the game kind of, but I really wanted to post this. In nature magic trait points 10. “Concentration Training”, which is apply 50% boon duration from your pet skills I believe. When I use f2 with my jungle stalker, I thought the might buff would increase duration?. Well nothing changed. I have also notice, the tooltip says 16 1/2 seconds of might, but in fact it’s only 15 seconds duration. Is it because of the roar animation?.

hi lol I’m from California. My server is Tarnished Coast I believe. I have a level 18 Engineer, and a level 13 Elementalist. Haven’t decide yet which class I will main, and at the moment I just want to try diff classes. Looking for a guild that is noob friendly and sociable. Website would be great. I sometimes join wvw, so much fun. I bet even more fun with a guild .

ok ty Finn, how about the pistols? i have both equipped in my hands, but only my right pistol is firing, why my other pistol not working?. How do i pick my own skills and put it in my bar?.

Hi, my real name is William. I just started this game today. I don’t know much about this game, level 2 Engineer currently in Tarnished coast. I’m not sure where to go next, a bit lost from my main quest. is this suppose to happen?. Secondly, I have 2 pistols, but Only my right pistol is firing. How do i use both pistols at once?. Also, I saw youtube about abilities/skills you can choose on your own?, right now it automatically puts in my bar. ( I want to have Turrets ) Lastly, what do you guys recommend for beginner like me, could be anything or tips/advice. Ty in advance.
