[BURN] has good tactics with distractions and ninja sieges, usually pretty persistent.

and [GOAT] is the only guild i’ve seen time and time again make an honest effort to run something organized away from a zerg and not shy away from an open field fight.

but your obvious disdain for us stems from something real. Mesmers vs Eles.

Mesmer –
1. Alot more viable builds. Has good power, condi, and bunker specs to work around. as well as viable party support if specced for. Access to stealth to make up for low mobility.

2. Mesmer is a more illusive class, more confusing to counter because of the kind of variety you find.

3. Has good aoe dmg as well as focus target dmg. Excels in Focus Target more because good AoE dmg relys on confusion. Which can either destory, or made completely null depending on the skill of an opponent.

Ele

1. Alot less viable builds. pigeon-holed into Acrane/Water most of the time. No real condi spec (IMO ofc) that i find can outshine the might-stacking power built ele or typical bunker ele.

2. Boons and good healing allow for quick rebounds. Mobility instead of stealth for defense. access to good dmg mitigation (protection + frost aura) which helps for tanking and being able to use your mobility to rebound through healing.

3. Eles have 1 MAJOR thing over Mesmers. Continuous Condition Removal. Condition dmg vs the elementalist is often weak and goes unrewarded for most condi spec classes. Confusion and Immobilize are the most dangerous against eles.

4. Eles are flashy, although a mesmer is too. I’d say 7/10 times the ele will be targeted/noticed faster then the mesmer.

First, would like to thank CD and EB for fantastic fights this week. The score is much more contested than other times and tiers we have all eventually been a part of. And rather than specify specific guild tags from each whom I can name and acknowledge, I will say that everyone from the sole yak escort to the stark defender of a keep or tower, to the raiders that never stop pressing. Everyone did fantastic, heck, I bet everyone has videos just aching to be put online somewhere, this was a good matchup!

Second, YB amigos…if I look carefully, we seem to be moving to T3…

Excited to change things up, really want to finish up my Explorer title not gunna happen with FA Let’s keep it civil folks and see some great fights.

My predictions for the forums this week…

Friday : Everyone starts out being polite and sharing how fun it will be for some different competition
Saturday : “something about great fights with that one guy from that other server and I had a lot of fun stomping you over and over”
Sunday : Threads quiet, everyone running dungeons for a day
Monday : OG has now established their dominance on the forums as the best small guild EVER, constantly reminding any posters from other servers that they’re willing to fight below SS camp. Members of EB and CD begin to post videos where they claim “Bunzy ran away” from a fight… Bunzy denies.
Tuesday : “something about any party larger than 6 people is a zerg”
Wednesday : Paralda tries to calm everyone down but it doesn’t work and thread get’s locked.
Thursday : Every time someone loses a fight it’s because Shadow Refuge still screws with culling and they were zerged. Argument ensue, Paralda tries again to calm everyone down, doesn’t work, second thread get’s locked.
Friday : Everyone is bored with the matchup and looking forward to reset. A handful of congratulations are given out and a few more people claiming “Bunzy ran away” … Bunzy again extends offers for “fair fights” below SS camp after reset… no one agrees.

I think that pretty much sums up every Mag thread over the past month, so I’m guessing we’ll see similar.

This is why i suggested the flame thread be on the Ehmry or Mag forums, so no mods can interrupt our fun
