I normally play on WvW, and I’m sitting here writing this, guess I’m kinda real, at least i was last time I checked.

The difference between a real war and WvW is pretty big, while a simulation, it’s meant to be fun – real war isn’t. Duels, epic sieges, open battles, tactics, all this can contribute – you seem to choose solo dueling (forum-warrior-tease: I guess you are an eazymode thief?)

And I guess what you call whining and moaning is what people consider to be a fun way to play. Some people find ONLY points (the simulation of wining) fun, plenty (can’t say %) of Gandarans find WvW with equal numbers fun. A 11 vs 11 football match if you wish. Points are nice, but is not the only focus.

The more you write the more it seems you trying to make your point the only valid one while accusing a whole server of whining (since you hate generalisations, apply it to yourself)

10 people is a very good size for a Tier 1 bounty mission.

You assume that the 10 man guild has the 10 man online at the same time. haven’t seen many guilds in my MMO life with a 100% attendance, even for small ones.

As a 99% WvW player I do feel this is more grind, it forces me to do more PvE zones that before I didn’t need to do. 10 kills / gather and salvage are the only ones I can achieve today without stepping into PvE – before most days did them while playing the game, maybe just needed to finish off one part (aquatic kills – yuk)

I fail to see why a weekday point ticking has more impact than weekend one. Point ticks are the same, any day, any time. If you move the weekend to the middle of the matchup, sure, the score will look different on 1st 3-4 days, but final score should be the same…

You dominate weekends, and then doze off. We take weekends off, then start catching up. Its just fluctuation of population playing styles. Maybe what you need is a 4 day weekend (and I let you win, if you give me 4 days off!!)

As for screenshots at 2am, yes, looks green, but how long it looked green before you took the screenshot?

As graphs clearly show we actually start losing ground past midnight, normally highest points are at 00:00 – and while I’m GMT, my guild isn’t.

I’m not saying we better than you, just throwing away your persistent and unfounded nightcapping argument.

You can clearly see we have the most points at 24:00 GMT. When primetime ends. I know you guys start earlier then us like from 17:00 GMT and you might stop a bit sooner too.

Nothing like factual proof to squash this night-capping business. If we win this week (if) its because we been stronger on OUR primetime on weekdays, while riverside was on weekends – now don’t bring any excuses, match is 7 days, not 2.

Also, for those who don’t go a round the world looking for a pathetic excuse, a huge thx – had loots of fun fighting AM and RS – great opponents – keep the fights fun!

Spawn camping is bad, so something is needed to avoid it – though all spawns have 3 exits, so its not like you can’t move out.

Fighting specifically looking for the invulnerability spot to me is an exploit as it will never be a fair fight.

I have to say that the numbers you are putting up here, is really not accurate at all. We had about equal numbers at this fight, this is something I’m pretty sure about since I participated in it. When I’m speaking for the players from Unity, we didn’t took it serious, we were only 8 people and came there to enjoy the fight, which was something we did Was an epic battle. But you guys wasn’t only 15 people. you were more like 60 aswell SOE tried to ambush our trebs multiple times with 20 people from the back, while you had a giant zerg inside^^ Great coordination by you guys there, hope there will be more fights like this

Well, I was on Bay and on SOE suicide runs to kill trebs. Kept jumping to his group when needed or stayed at Bay defending – bringing supply from Arah

Inside Bay where indeed 15 – I actually counted once, since every single man had a piece of siege (that’s what made us prevail), and SOE kamikazes where close to 15 more. We never had more than 30ppl around Bay counting both defenders and attackers, so OK, wasn’t Sparta, but we definitely had far less numbers. KISS alone fields more numbers than our ‘pugs’ put together.

Had great fun at Vale on DL BL tonight you finally got in, but we didn’t make it easy.

What I see from DL is what also happens In Aurora, Too strong for this tier, too weak for the next, and in a way, the ones promoted from below have similar issues, though not as exaggerated. Its clear from the ranking scores in between this two tier, the differences in score are much bigger than the tiers above.

its a whooping 120 points from 1st to 3rd, you can see other tiers are closer. And seems the trend is to widen even further in this tier.

I think that’s your personal experience, KISS and UNTY aren’t the only ones in WvW, though do make an important part, ofc.

Was good fun, the best battle we put so far as one unified server, I guess the spice you lot added did wake us up a bit. Top event.

You gave us a tough start as we got home from work, with 0 points in the score, I think we did rather well to be on +370 by 11:20pm – I hope we don’t see more pointless bragging about that domination of map before we got home.

Only 2 nights left on this match, lets keep it mature and enjoy the fights

I can’t be certain since I don’t know what happens behind the scenes, however, I sincerely doubt that, since we are a large PvE guild. We had 1 WvW event last weekend, but normally is just very few of us running around, don’t confuse my 3 clones with a organised group.

The idea isn’t to bash you guys into the ground (in fact I feel for GH since losing a lot of guilds) but we are trying to build our server up with server wide WvW events..
Yes we out number you this week but we have the same problem with the likes of Gandara, Abaddon’s Mouth, Miller’s Sound etc etc that’s why we are trying to improve our game.

You have more numbers, and its great for you, I wish we where in your situation.

I was there, we took Titan and decided to make a stand just for sake of it, we assumed you’ll respond – but you took more than 20min to come on a massive zerg, no small group attemps.

We got bored waiting, build 6 rams, 1 golem, 3 ballistas and 2 trebs – we where only 6 of us… Dunno why myself, was amusing at the time, something to do while awaited I guess.

Sorry about the mess of siege you had to clean out, guess we raised a few eyebrows.

It is obvious that you are only supposed to be able to enter vale camps through the archway only, and so it has to be an error that you can get up there; similar to those errors where you can run outside the map and get into keeps from that video someone else posted in another thread.

I also agree about the Alt+F4 thing, I’ve had so many people do that this week it’s been unbelievable! Got so pissed off I decided to do it myself as well a couple of times to see how they liked it.. Anet really need to do something about this eg. if you do it you get an hour ban from WvW and PvP.

Also the WR’s trying to take Redbrair right now, STOP CRIPPLING ME! :@

I fail to see the vale cliff jump as a exploit, nothing like going trough walls on jumping into a fortification, all camps have multiple entrances and none gated. It may be that anet mistake, but certainly not an exploit shout.

As for alt+f4 yourself… Shame on you.

Rest, do try to be mature and keep pointless bragging to minimum, 10 killing 3 is nothing to shout about, grab your loot and move on.

Means we don’t really suffer with queues, at prime time you may find them in EB, but bordelands in normally strait in.

Its been 2 weeks of fighting, even if we fought knowing beforehand we where going to lose. I think we all learned from this 2 weeks, I seen new approach, more organisation and eventually more fun from all sides (though Piken where far more organised from day 1, AM and GH had to do some catch up)

Hopefully, but not that quick we cannot bolster our numbers a tiny bit with guilds looking for fun fights.

Maybe transfers should be priced according to ranking, in a open market way – lower, free; highest with a high cost.

Do the people transferring realise that there are servers that want more people and that want to go up in the ratings? Blacktide, Desolation, Far Shiverpeaks… all three and probably some other are advertising and looking for more people, why don’t you transfer there rather than the ‘RP’ server?

I don’t want to sound disrespectful to all the people who are transferring to piken, I can also appreciate the issues wtih being stuck wtih little to no competition in a lower tier but I do agree with this in some sense.

I can completely understand the Russian guilds on Vabbi with little to no presence wanting to transfer upwards a bit, but for members of mid bracket servers with organisation already wanting to jump ship is something else altogether.

As a Gunnars player, sadly this will be happening more this week. Our numbers have have decreased enormously this week, due to ‘fair weathers’ or other reasons, like moving to higher populated server, at least in WvW.

Our fights this week are outnumbered, no queues and uniquely focused on one borderland – yet the sense of pride and fun is unmatchable.

Fully agree on 3, the other 2… well I do think is really clever they come up with this solution, a while legit it kills the fun of WvW. If it has to become a turtle fest I will be one dropping from it – I love the more fluid combat of GW2 and this tactic kills the spirit of it.

Only 2 things stop me from using Mac client right now – this key binding problem (main reason) and the fact full screen view renders second screen useless. (other MMO which name dare not to say works fine on full screen, allowing second screen to be used for something else)

Lets hope the § key issue is solved soon, would love to ditch dual boot. Plus the better compatibilities with different OS the more player than can fully enjoy this amazing game!
