The choices / order part of the personal story is a bit annoying for players that like to play together with others, because they have different missions so they can’t complete them at the same time. I’m happy that at least some parts of the game are common.

Agreed. Unfortunately, one of the game’s selling points (as seen in their MMO manifesto) is “you can do most of the game without ever grouping”. The very last story mission takes place in a group dungeon and the kitten storm that has caused knows no limits. Antisocial people are having a ball.

Gotta say, my hatred for Trahearne is only rivaled by my hatred for Logan. Good OP, mirrors my own thoughts pretty well.

What I hated the most about him is that the Pale Tree said she’d be showing us OUR future in one particular quest, but all I got was Trahearne’s future. Welp, was great tagging along. You’ll be a hero, I’ll be as ignored as I am in this quest. So I guess it did show my future as well. I hope you die, Trahearne.

@John Smith: I’m sorry that you think I’m a noob! (Joking, I know it’s not what you meant). I do know about the forge. I know you can upgrade fine crafting materials, but I don’t use that now and I doubt I ever will. Why on earth would I trade Skill points (a VERY limited resource, which I also need for legendaries) to upgrade them? What’s worse, I’m trading 50 (fifty!) of a lower tier item for a very low number of higher tier fine crafting materials. That is fine, of course, but the price is waaay too high! Usually, when you do something like this (trading many for few), you don’t add an extra price. About skillpoint cost: I don’t even know how many skill points I need exactly for legendary weapons, so I’m scared to waste them like this. Also, very important: right now selling 50 small claws and buying even the maximum amount of Claws you’d get the from the Forge is much, much more profitable. I hope you understand this. Also, personally, I would have never paid even silver to upgrade them. It’s simply a huge loss for the player to use this instead of using the trading post.

For gems, transmogrification isn’t as useful as you’d hope because by gathering players have the gems they need to craft the gear they need. I only used transmogrification a few times because it was good crafting XP, and when I needed some specific gems for my gear which I didn’t have (for the stat bonus I wanted). If purely interested in leveling up the craft, players don’t really need this because they’re so flooded with the gems they need to craft orange colored jewels they don’t have to rely on transmogrification (recycling old gems). I think this is one of the reasons gemstones that aren’t the highest tier are so worthless at the trading post.

Using gemstones in Mystic Forge: way too wild to be used for anything other than fun. I doubt people will buy gems off the TP for this. Getting marks is a huge loss, luckily they can be used again with gems (marks are only used at lower levels, and lower level gear is changed so fast it’s not worth the effort). I have just fed over 200 gems into the Forge of all levels except the highest tier, and ended up with almost nothing (1 useless mark, 1 gemstone and 1 highest tier gemstone). The only thing that resulted (and is worth money) is a Platinum Doubloon, but selling all the gems I have used to a vendor would have been more profitable. I just don’t see any reason to do this. Point is, people won’t buy gems off the TP for Mystic Forge transmute for the same reason they don’t buy Blue Gear off the TP and hope to get 1 green.I doubt anyone could profit after buying gems and marks off the trading post (even at the current prices) for this.

Did you mean anything else? I’m not even trying to play the TP as I did in other games, all I ask for is that I be able to sell the items I don’t need anymore for a small profit. It takes time to gather them. Getting 3 copper over the vendor price is not worth the time! Why should they be worthless? They’re not junk items that I just find lying around. I don’t even go out of my way to reach nodes, I just gather what’s close at hand. I do it to make sure I have everything I need to get my crafting up, not for selling them specifically! It just so happens that with gems I always get flooded with too many.

In short, I still see no reason why anyone should buy gemstones off the trading post.

If I miss anything else, I would be grateful if you’d mention them, I will look into it, I promise. There are many people that are disappointed with items being sold for a few copper over the vendor price and I think they would appreciate this information as well. Knowledge for the masses

About the prices for ore / wood, they do seem to be increasing a bit. Either people finally outlevel those areas or they finally found a use for them. Either the Mystic Forge Conduit (which was a great idea btw, I have crafted that myself and love it) or some other uses. I think the increase in wood cost to create planks was in the good direction too. Right now I’m looking at the higher level wood (for example Hard Wood) which is much, much cheaper than lower level planks.

Yeah well, good for you. Right now Hammer Guardians can only give Might using blast finishers at the beginning of the fight, since we can’t stop having Protection field up almost all the time.

I am currently trying this build in PvE, but I’m only level 65 and don’t have access to all the traits I’d like.

Replace Greatsword with hammer imo, it makes you a lot tankier (needed for retaliation build) and you still have access to Retaliation through Protection Field + Smite. This also makes it more reliable to stack Vitality instead of Toughness.

I’m using: Mace + Focus (when things get hairy) and Hammer. Utility skills: Purging Flames (for synergy with Smite and extra damage – you’re already very tanky), Judge’s Intervention (Stun break and damage but only for solo, there are much better alternatives for group play) and Sanctuary (but any defensive cooldown works – if you feel you don’t like that consecration, Signet that reduces damage is a very strong alternative). Elite skill: Invul and virtue reset.

Traits: Symbols are larger, symbols last longer, Consecrations last longer, Using Virtue of Courage removes 3 conditions. Imo these are mandatory for the build.

I like it in PvE, haven’t tested in PvP.

Haha, in the first video you get retaliation too. Strange, that in your video you show that the order matters.- casting the Symbol first gets you Ret, Purging Flame gets you Might.

I was talking about hammer though, for that it always seems to give Ret. No, it’s the same as mace + focus. You get might if you cast purging flames first. I guess I was too sleepy when I first tested it. Thanks for testing this I think both our posts should be included in the bug report, it’s clear that something is amiss.

How have you tested this? Here is my result (screenshot). You can see both fields active, and retaliation just popping up. My Traits regarding this are : Symbols are Larger, Symbols last longer and Consecrations have reduced recharge and increased duration. Cheers.

Btw, I have tested this in general PvE usually, I just went to practice dummy now for convenience.

2 bugs have been annoying me:

1) The Hammer’s protection field will overwrite the Purging Flame fire field, meaning that every time I have the hammer Light shield over Purging Flame and I use smite, I always get retaliation, but not Might. I have tried casting smite while outside the Light Field but inside the Fire Field, but the same result. Landing the smite inside the Fire field but outside the Light field is tricky and haven’t managed to do it so far. I am currently using both “Symbols are larger” and “Symbols last longer”. It does not seem to matter which is put on the ground first – the Light or Fire field. Always retaliation, no might. I get might if I use Purging Flames first, Ret if I use the symbol 1st. I haven’t tried this with anything other than Purging Flames. I also don’t know if this affects ally Blast finishers as well, I haven’t asked anyone to try this – but I think it might be the case, since every time I drop a Fire Field during a boss fight I don’t get stacks of might from it, but it might just be allies sleeping and not using the finishers

Wiki has this to say: * Finishers can only interact with one initiator at a time.* However I am requesting a bug on this because the Area Retaliation duration is so low, it’s a disadvantage to the player for Smite to prioritize the Light Field over the Fire Field. Big one And although with Mace you can choose when to use Symbol and when to use Purging Flames and get what you want, hammer has the protection in it’s attack chain and you can’t really choose most of the time.

2) Absorbtion spells don’t absorb attacks coming from above – arrow rains, mortar shells (tested this in tribulation rift), etc. I’m not sure if this is intended or not.

Bugs: All the weapons given as a reward for the personal story quest “Forging the Pact” clip horribly through armor. They also look amazing. Thanks to whoever designed those, they are my favorite skins so far Please fix!

Human male, Penetrating Chestplate of Infiltration + the rest is the level 60 requirement crafted heavy set. (Reinforced Scale set)

Unfortunately, the tooltip on the items is not visible in two of the screenshots I don’t know why, they did appear when I pressed the screenshot button.

I know the Focus and shield are called “Trinity Focus” and “Trinity Shield”, but I can’t remember what the other item is called.

I would like to add my feedback on this. I fully intend to craft a legendary one day.

Your calculated 40 days is “baby tier easy mode” for the best thing in-game right now. 40 days is nothing when talking about MMOs. It doesn’t “blow out of the water” any other MMO with legendary weapons. WOW had you grinding raids for months, and not only that, not all players got the items, so you’d have to be in a guild that actually gave the items to you. MONTHS. Years if someone else in your guild is prioritized over you.

Korean MMOs I won’t even argue about, if you aren’t botting you will never, ever, ever have best in slot items before the next expansion comes out, even playing 12h a day and using all the boosts in the world.

40 days is nothing. If anything I’d say it’s too low. The joy players get when getting a legendary…

There is nothing to whine about here. Being that what you need is karma, which you get from basically having fun AND you have a 100% chance to get karma (unlike other MMOs where you must fight other players to get the items needed for a legendary) it’s not even a grind.

Yes! lets reduce the atmosphere for everyone. I certainly don’t want to change the volume at my end while I stand crafting.

Honestly I don’t think some posters have ever been to a public market.

Have you ever been to the crafting stations in Lion’s Arch? How the hell would it “reduce the atmosphere” if the crafting vendors, which use GENERIC lines spoken by every single members of their race btw, would shut the hell up? Do you really go to them to hear their greets?

NO, no one wants to “reduce your atmosphere”. What about our convenience?! No one is asking to delete the “flavor” NPC dialogue. NPCs that have special dialog won’t vanish. They’ll be moved / their volume reduced if needed / the frequency will be reduced in places where the player is most likely to hear them repeatedly.

Are you SERIOUSLY suggesting that everyone that’s annoyed by this actually go into their options tab and mute voices every time we go into town? What about OUR atmosphere? We’ll mute all the flavor lines, all the dialogue just so you drones can hear your Greet spam? Are you that selfish that you think only of yourself?

A) Greetings on NPCs selling materials for crafting are very annoying. They get repeated every single time a player talks to them. There are MANY players in LA crafting so you hear their greets A LOT. They should just be removed. Or the NPCs replaced with a vending machine :P

B) In the Lion’s Arch bank, there is a child screaming AAAAAH! A MONSTEEEER! It’s volume seems way higher than the normal value. She does it frequently as well (while managing my bank I’ve heard her 3 times).

Also, in Hoelbrak, there’s a woman screaming that she’s seen steam creatures. She does this EVERY single time a player walks close to her. Moving away a bit and then returning to her makes her shout again. It’s incredibly annoying.

@Beltronz: There’s a line between having variety and exasperating players. If you can’t see it, you might be a drone.

Forging the Pact - bugs and feedback

Hi. There will be spoilers in this thread.

This is NOT about the bug that blocks progression. I have finished the mission. I have a few things to say:
1) Bugs: a. Agent Zrii blew up a barricade at the entrance to the cave, but the explosion or debris weren’t visible at all. No explosion sound either.

b/. As soon as I’ve hit the margin of the instance I got booted out instantly. This happened inside the big room where the Priory research team was supposedly making a stand (although why the idiots wouldn’t use the narrow room entrance to set up a defense is beyond me). I tried to go back but after taking literally two steps in the red hashed area I was booted. And had to start over again.

c. The Risen grubs inside the caverns are all spazzing out near their burrow holes, they seem stuck in them. It looks really weird. It fixes itself when a player enters aggro range and they start attacking.

d. Doing the quest the 2nd time, the Risen Plague Carrier meant to destroy the barricade leading to the first Priory research team failed to do so. He did knock me away from him and exploded, but the barricade wasn’t gone. I could walk through the barricade, but visually it’s still there. Screenshot attached. This didn’t happen the 1st time I was in.

e. The 2nd time I did the instance the monster attacking the 2nd research team was inside a wall. (see 2nd screen). My NPC squad wasn’t attacking him and he wasn’t attacking anyone either. At least he wasn’t invul. Incredibly boring and frustrating.

2) Feedback: This personal story is among my favorites, with the ones following it being even better. However, I have this to say:
The good:
It’s fun. Gz to whoever is in charge of personal stories in general. It’s obvious they are doing the best they can to make personal stories and fun and varied as possible.

Defending the first research team was VERY fun. Players had the high ground, a narrow corridor to work with and an undead zerg to kill. Plague carriers kept players alert. If there’s anything extra I could have asked, it would have been that the barrels in front of the camp would explode on player hit with different effects (chill, stun, knockback, anything). That would have been awesome

The last boss fight has very fun mechanics. I liked the huge abomination zerg, it makes players feel SO POWERFUL

The Bad:
a. This one is way too long. Imo it should be split in two, preferably after the first research team is rescued. Being booted out has shown just how long this mission is. Careful with very long missions, a crash or disconnect can make story a very frustrating experience because you have to start over.

b/. NPCs in charge of being useful: Their skills are purely visual, apart from combo fields, stuns, knockdowns, etc. I have tested this and Trahearne at least does 0 damage (and his HP is incredibly low, he’s made out of wet toilet paper). I have let him attack enemies by himself and their HP bars do not budge. All the others have incredibly low damage, basically the player is the sole damage dealer in there. A group of 3 Risen Thralls has killed both Trahearne and the Krewe Leader while ALL the NPCs were alive and fighting the Thrall!!!!. That’s pathetic. No one likes to babysit NPCs. They probably would have all been dead if I didn’t go back for them.

After I have rescued the first Priory team, apart from their damage being VERY low against the undead, they are downright stupid. I went inside the cave, but they wouldn’t follow. Apparently the krewe leader preferred to stay outside the cave and pull Risen with his rifle, even though they were clearly avoidable. This made the entire NPC squad stick with him. This has happened during both playthroughs.

A general note on NPCs: Please, please make them (almost) immune to AoE attaacks. They’re too stupid to avoid the small poison circles that grubs throw. They die. It’s boring. Also, only a few of the NPC squad will actually ressurect fallen allies. I’ve seen Agent Zrii and one other NPC doing revives, while others are just watching.

c. Risen health is way too high, allies NPCs deal no damage. It’s very boring to plow through the Risen, especially since defensive utility skills are highly encouraged here. Either lower the Risen HP or fix allied NPC damage. Preferably the latter. The last boss HP pool was absolutely ridiculous and the NPCs were doing 0 damage (tested, I stepped back and let them zerg him, after 30 seconds his HP was still the same).

d. Trahearne keeping a sermon when it’s obvious the group is about to get ambushed. (after finding the barricade) Hey guys, shut up. We’re about to get killed. Talk after, huh?

This is it. I hope it’s helpful to devs in making this a better experience in the future.

After you get all the gear you need, all there is to do with gold is spend it in WvW, have fun and acquire dyes, minipets and other vanity items. It’s a good system.

Yeah, it’s wrong. People pay for the Runes of Holding waaaay more than they will ever get from selling bags. The TP is down right now so I can’t check recent prices, but last time I wanted to sell my 10-slot bags they were ridiculously underpriced. I still have them in my bank, saving them for future alts. No reason to sell them in their current state.

Wow, so many technicalities in your post. You are trying so, so very hard to defend a flawed economy.

Understand that most players don’t give a kitten about paying 10c for each piece of wood. That is NOTHING. Selling 1 green to a vendor gets you at least 7 items that cost 10c.

Asking me if I know the math on drop rates… do you even think before you post? Jesus Christ, of course players find less cloth than ore / wood while playing, because they can’t mine it AND they have to salvage items for it (armors and misc items), AND many players prefer to sell the armors to the vendors for convenience (and sometimes more money). SO HARD to understand. Try harder.

Of course there’s faster ways to make bank, especially at higher levels. But to someone leveling their crafts while leveling up as well, there is no reason not to gather. And even if they are lazy as kitten, they can still buy EVERYTHING they need from the TP using only vendored items because hey – everything is still cheap as hell. The only thing that sets you back while leveling a craft is crafting components, which players get anyway even if they don’t gather.

Telling me I need to find better items to sell, LOL. Why? Why bother when I can afford everything I want to level my crafts? There is NOTHING on the AH that interests me, I’m already throwing all my money on Dyes because I don’t give a crap about anything else. I get my armors, weapons, boxes. runes and sigils from my crafting, my friends cook for me because they make so much they don’t give a kitten and even if I lacked jeweling, the 5s fee most people ask for (included myself) wouldn’t mean jack squat if I had to craft them someplace else.

The TP is filled with items that people buy for 1c over the vendor price. The sellers are selling them at 3c over the vendor price. It’s a feature of a working economy, isn’t it?

And to your last point, no one cares how many upgraded gems a jeweler makes. They make just as many as they need to craft jewels / socket. The problem is GEMS dropping for nodes in HUGE amounts that even now fill my collectibles tab and are worth 2c more than the vendor price at TP. I’ve got 30+ of extra gems for every level range after being done with crafting in that range. Yeah, I’ll go buy some off the TP now. Working as intended amirite?

If a situation in which the TP is filled with junk prime materials that anyone can afford and which completely ruins the reason for gathering materials seems normal to you, you’re wrong. I’m just gathering for the daily achievement and the lulz experience points now.

Silvermink, wat. There are 9 buy orders made by 1 person for that specific item. That doesn’t qualify for “huge demand”. Which items do you FEEL (because you can’t THINK that) are in high demand? The <10c prime materials?

From your comment on buying I would say you never leveled Jeweler. I’m currently sitting pretty at 400 Jeweler and never felt the need to buy any gems, rubies included.

@Wazabi. Trash loot is grey and is meant to be sold by vendors. Since when are crafting materials designed to be vendor trash? It’s always good to craft armor / weapon / jewel sets appropiate for your level. It even levels you up. Most people do it, but don’t need the TP to keep doing it, unless they need totems / scales / blood / etc.

BTW, right now I’m leveling Armorsmith + Weaponsmith on my Guardian, which SUPPOSEDLY should give me grief because they both use the same prime materials. And yet I’m still overstocked with items I gather.

Many profesions get temp bonuses for swapping weapons. It’d be completly unfair if you can spam these bonuses, hence the cd on weapon swap.

So give those bonuses an internal cooldown. Engineers have no CD on kit swap yet have 5s of swiftness + vigor when they switch kits. It has an internal cooldown of 5 and no one has exploded yet because of it.

It was a rhetorical question. Why was the game designed around so many useless items? Right now, the only things that are worth something on the TP are crafting components of all levels. It’s FUN because you get as much as you can while levelling and it’s isn’t quite enough to get you to the next tier, so you have to buy some off TP.

The only people buying wood / ore / gems are either trying to sell them for higher prices or simply can’t be asked to gather themselves. Hell, it’s clearly less time consuming and buying simply doesn’t cost you much at all. Wood and ore are basically free at the TP. Their new mystic forge recipe added about 3 copper to the price of each (from 4c we went to 7c, no big difference).

Cloth is in a good place because many prefer to sell items to vendor for straight money (and convenience) instead of salvaging. It’s drop rate is also much smaller which helps a lot. Cloth is where all prime materials for crafting should be: you will have ALMOST enough to craft your next tier of items, while still having to buy a few off the TP. People that are luckier with drops get to sell them when they stop needing them.

Other than that you practically don’t need anything if you gather yourself. And why wouldn’t you gather? I never had to buy ores / gems / cloth. I never had to buy runes or sigils. I just feel very disconnected from the TP. If I try to sell things that I don’t personally need, I’d get 1 copper for them. It’s just not worth the effort of taking them out of the bank and putting them on the TP.

There is 0 interest in items because everyone can gather anything. And basically, even for jewelers, if they have enough ore through gathering they have more gems than they need. Always. I think the drop rates should be lowered to give them SOME value. 1 gem / item is the way to go, but gems are WAY too common and nobody ever needs to buy them!

U wot m8? Hammers benefit from 20% off cooldowns. And it’s enough. LOL @ Zealous Blade for Hammers, the heal is pathetic even for a fast attacking weapon.

Also, would you really invest a trait point into 5% extra damage on one weapon? Really? Imo ArenaNet should implement an urgent safety net for faulty logic by deleting those traits. You get people investing into 5% extra damage on weapon and then whine about the game being too hard.

Also, threads like this. Hammer guardians don’t need “love”. Hammer guardians are fine. Don’t speak for the whole class, you’re just a minority that keeps crying about a very strong weapon for some reason.

I find it ridiculous then that right now there are 2 sellers selling Chipped Ruby across the entire world for ~1s50c. It’s a mat used in crafting and can be socketed into weapons. Why is there 0 interest in it?

Heh, Greyfeld is right. Personal story missions where players are supposed to use environmental objects are always fun, but as a whole they are pretty lacking in fun mechanics. I’m trying to enjoy avoiding mob packs in the Priory and Whispers storylines. Like members of those orders should.

On a related topic, there’s a Priory mission where the player is supposed to choose between manpower and firepower. That’s like choosing between Vigil and Priory again. What self respecting Priory member would rather throw Sylvari at a problem rather than technology?

OT, the text is indeed “Incapacitate the Queen”. But I’ve also tried to stun her near the bomb Because that would have been fun. And I was also desperate because I was gettingkittenby my fiery overlords.

For the record, she doesn’t actually need to be near the bomb. I’ve killed her on the “stairs” and still completed the story objective.

All these people saying how the changes are justified. Please justify spending 2~4 hours of your time in a dungeon only to get 7 silver in return.

If you’re spending 2-4 hours in a single dungeon you’re a lot more going on than a horrible player. Even back in beta when Arah was hard as kitten people got to the end in 2h tops. Are you seriously, seriously whining about any dungeon taking 2-4h? Take a break.

The amount of whining never ceases to amaze. If you like CM so much you want to run story mode a billion times, go do it. All this “b-b-but is hardeeeer” is nothing but pathetic – you have new things to deal with. It’s not the old CM anymore. Learn it again.

One week later we’ll have the same people say it’s just right, and three weeks from now the same people will say it’s too easy (because mob X lost 1 HP in the patch notes). AGAIN. Like with every other dungeon out there.

Another reason I’d like to see the range indicator circle is because most classes have a Leap type skill that needs to sometimes be used in jumping puzzles (or difficult vistas) but can only do guesswork on where their destination will be. Unlike Engineer, who can just Disable Smart cast and go where he pleases.

In short, a range indicator would also make life easier for the classes that only have leap attacks that aren’t ground targeted as an added benefit.

Armors cost too many tokens. It’s not the HORROR that it was back in beta, and it is, as you’ve defined it “more reasonable”. But it’s still unreasonable.

What’s worse, to get the specific set we want, we have to do that ONE specific dungeon, which gets real boring real fast.

We’re swinging swords here. Again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And we get 1 item. Then we start over for the next item.

I’ve got two items from one set now and I’m already too sickened by the dungeon to go in again. It’s plain boring at this point. My group is still eagerly awaiting the “fun” mechanics that are to come in dungeons, because right now we’re slapping NPCs with rubber gloves until their huge HP is down and it’s not much of a challenge once you learn their attack animations and patterns. It’s a major improvement even now in comparison to beta, but there’s just too much repetition involved to enjoy it in it’s current state.

Ask me if I care about some players feeling the need to show dedication to the game by grinding. Ask me if I think that dungeon rewards should come after showing boredom resistance instead of skill.

Here’s a crazy idea: 4 explorable paths, 4 runs for 2 pieces. People should do dungeons for FUN, not getting the set they want. I’m using my gametime (which I could use to ENJOY the game) to run the same dungeon over and over to get the set I really want. I have been avoiding other explorable mode dungeons (which would breathe some life into this whole mess) because they don’t give me the set I want and I don’t have the time to do all of them. My friends want the same set I want. So when I say “Let’s go do explorable mode” they immediately want to do Caudecus Manor, OBVIOUSLY, because they want the set, no matter the number of times we already did it… Does that sound fun to you?

By the way, me and a friend had the crazy idea of starting AC explorable at level 35 and trying to get the set by the time we reach level 60. Ha, ha, so silly of us.

Did you read the post i quoted or the thread for the matter son? If you do a dungeon for less than 30 minutes, you start having diminishing gains. And if you repeat the same path. Yeah, Explorable mode. How is that not punishing hardcore players? The 30 min cap is ridiculous, there is no purpose to it.

Do you even english? That cap happens when you finish multiple dungeons in 30 minutes time. How many times did you finish TWO explorable mode dungeons in 30 minutes? Oh right no one can do that.

People just don’t get it – story mode is designed to be completed for the story and initial helmet reward. Once. Then move on to explorable. That’s the whole point of not giving any tokens for story mode.

Farming story mode is baby tier, and did not deserve 20+ silver / completion. Get over it.

And the people whining about difficulty, story mode was way too easy and repetitive to begin with, huge HP bars excluded.

If all you want is for people to nor farm a single dungeon at X speed repeatedly – why not just put a cooldown on their ability to enter the dungeon so they cannot without making it impossible for people to complete it.

This just in, SOMEONE just suggested raid lockouts for GW2. Everyone laugh and throw rotten eggs. They never said they don’t like players doing a dungeon multiple times. Such a restriction is bullkitten. They don’t like players inflating prices by getting 22s every 10 minutes, which is huge at the current state of the game.

Let the tears flow, farming game is over. Money treadmill is out of commission. I’ve personally done this three times and never done it again, because it’s sad to do it to farm money instead of having fun

@Destin: If you’re so good at dungeons do explorable mode. Nothing nerfed there.

I finished it on my 50 Guardian. Our group was 3 Guardians, an Engineer and a Thief. The only thing that Anet is guilty of is making this more fun.

And reducing the reward way too much. Imo it should have stayed 15s+ for the very first time It’s completed on a character, and ~5 silver for runs after.

I’m 2 stronk nerf pls Caudecus come at me. Etc. Don’t cry for lower levels, they can manage. Cry for yourself

@JonPeters: You say you want to normalize the clear time, but I’ve heard multiple times that it’s by design that dungeons get harder and harder as players advance in level. I think I remember a dev post saying that Arah SHOULD take a lot longer to complete since all the other dungeons, since it’s the last dungeon and you want it to be the hardest.

Did all this change?

They should have at least left 1 combo finisher on it, to be honest. Right now it’s simply a “come at me bro” skill for dealing with melee enemies. I don’t honestly care about the 15s of buffs from combo finishers, but it was A LOT of fun getting those while in combat. My fun has been nerfed!

Pretty lackluster for a toolbelt skill as it is now.

Although these items can never be equipped together, I found it funny. Previewing the light chest piece changed the way my helmet looked, basically making it symmetrical (what you see in the front = to what’s in the back). And ugly.

It might not look horrible in the picture, but it is when moving! This happens when breathing in the Hero panel, or when walking / moving (and it gets much worse).

Human Male, equipped : Gladiator Helmet, Gloves, Boots (all crafted lvl 50); De molish Chestplate (bought from Explorer Brokkar); Travelen Leggings; Heavy Tribulation Shoulderguards (bought from Magister Kathryn).

The boots and the leggings still clip (as I have shown in an earlier post).

Nerfed hard, many were relying on that to buff their allies or heal. Very unfortunate. I’ll see how it plays out, but sincerely, it was the only thing that I was enjoying about playing Engineer → doing all I could to reap maximum benefits from Combo Fields.
