Any item that sits 1 copper above vendor price will always have a very high supply, a very low demand, or both. If supply decreases and demand stays the same or increases the price will eventually go up. Once players discover they can make more money vendoring these items supply will decrease. The invisible hand cures all ills of the Trading Post.

Last night I tried a new trading method and made 2 gold with about 20 minutes of work, although I was waiting for items to buy and sell. Now that I know what to do I should be able to make quite a bit more. The global economy keeps items moving.

Gold selling should be reported as spam.

Buy gems now and roll around in the love when the price sky rockets the first time they put content expansions on the store.

Once people have a lot of gold those 1 copper above vendor items will be bought up and relisted at a higher price.

Make sure a proxy connection has not been set, somebody discovered the trade post uses the proxy setting set in Internet Options. This page explains how to check your settings. You’ll want to uncheck the “use a proxy” setting.

You mean 3rd party RMT sales? There are about 10 million of these sites and there’s nothing ANet can do to block them. They can make it unprofitable to run these sites by banning sellers and buyers.

After they got in the first time you should have changed your password. If your password matched your email account you would want to change that as well.

Fine crafting materials sell for a bit.

You’ll only be given a 2 week ban for more than one incident.

If you get an authorization email and it’s not your IP address it means somebody has your login name and password but they are unable to get in unless you specifically allow them to login. Change your password to a strong and unique password and you should be OK. You may also want to change your email password if it is not unique. I use a password manager so I only need to remember one password and I can use a password generator to generate strong and unique passwords.

When you log into the client make sure remember password is not checked. I had the same problem when the game first came out and I actually had to uncheck the box and then log in for it to take my password. After that you can leave the box checked.

The password changes was some very terrible hacker’s script going nuts and spamming email addresses with password change requests by using a 3rd party list of email addresses. Your account has not been hacked due to this. They have taken down the forgotten password feature for now. You can change your password from within your account though if you need to.

If you’ve been banned for gold selling and you did not buy or sell gold through a 3rd party you most likely have had your account hacked.

There is a 15% fee; 5% non-refundable list fee and a 10% completed sale fee.

I go out, kill lots of monsters, and then put up sell orders on the Trading Post. Originally I was filling buy orders, but I forgot there’s a million or two people looking through the Trading Post and switched to sell orders and every highly traded commodity sells very quickly. Due to the huge influx of materials salvaging stuff is no longer worth it even if there is a slotted item; you’re better off vendoring salvage items and terrible armor/weapons instead of salvaging and then buying upgrades off the TP.

The repair canister from the Black Lion gem store will repair all damaged/broken armor. Don’t use it until all of your armor has been damaged.

When buying, make sure you have something in your inventory (not the bank) that can be sold on the AH. Not sure what causes the buy button to be unusable.

Not an exploit at all. If you go look you’ll sometimes find items that sell for less than the salvage you get from them. Many finished items cost less than the the cost of the items that make them. You’ll eventually run out of low cost materials though and will not be able to do this for a bit until more items get put up.
