Yeah the return of the Queues are a pain in the ring-hole. They are bad on Deso at prime time, Id fear to see what VS and SFR are like since they always have more/full BLs.

Also the next SFR poster to show some manners and respect to deso or VS(or any server for that matter), will get a free Easter egg. lets see if its possible..

Where are all the solo/duo roamers these days? All I see from deso and viz are 4-5+ groups roaming around. Getting so boring with these groups following my kitten for 5+ mins just to kill 1 mesmer.

Made me giggle, I roam solo and Its so hard to find a SFR or VS player alone, or even a duo. And if by chance I do they run back to hug a keep/npcs or wait for backup. And with Deso being ‘outmanned’ most the time all I run into is sfr or vs zergs.

Funny enough only place for 1v1/1v2/2v2 etc.. these days is EB puzzle

Yes you can, I use the back book item on my toons all the time in the dark room, they still give off light around you and I make way through room(and camp spots) using it and haven’t used torches since Oct.

Also whoever said crank up gamma that has never worked in the dark room.

Do the people in here screaming about Queues and how tier1 are all suckers and need to move down, realise some of the T1 servers don’t have any Queues on the Borderlands for like the last 4months and only ever a EB Queue from like 7-10gmt(and only on some days) for 15mins tops?

Can I ask what the hell happened to SFR?
I was a fan of em last year, seemed like good server(I actually moved to them for few weeks last year when they were mid tier to get away from RUIN on Deso, and to have fair fights etc..) And seemed like great little server. They never had the pop of the big servers yet seemed to be very organised and have good skill level of pugs.

I’d have to disagree totally with all that now tbh, I’m sure the ‘old skool’ SFRs are still around and grand but since there boom to T1 last year and esp now again since the free transfers stopped they have gone down a massive hill.
Obviously they have gone up score wise and are no1 server now and probably will be for few more weeks, but the average pug I come a cross is pretty bad, and I can count at least 10 times in last 5 days I’ve gotten party invites from SFR players I’ve killed 1v1 or 5v4 etc.. that just call you ‘desoscum’ and troll for 5mins, I always let them vent as they are just bad losers but by god SFR is going downhill fast, and its a shame to see.

Could be a case of success breeds contempt for some, but I really don’t care who is 1 or 2. In fact I’ve always preferred T2 or T3 then T1.
The best thing that can happen for SFR now is a drop down tiers as some big guilds move back to where they came from pikenSquare or w/e and the real SFR players build back up again, done wonders for deso after the RUIN shambles, We will never be 1st again way things are, and that’s just fine by me and most I know who play.

TLDR; SFR have some very skilled guilds and players, but since there upward run through the tiers they have attracted a tonne load of very bad players and trolls, and imo they are bringing the name of server down to the dumps. It’s a shame.

VS and SFR sure have alot of speed-hacking thief’s. Noticed one of the SFR very obviously doing it was from some Norwegian guild [RIP] or something?

I’ve nothing against them to be fair, you will always have glory hunters in games who flood to the ‘winner’.

I feel for them and there daftly long Qs 24/7 and do wonder why they crowd to the easy-mode server. But ye imo there average player is dreadful, I’ve never seen VS win a say 1v1 or 3v3 against most the other top servers. They win with pure quantity not quality.

I didnt like/want RUIN coming to us in the first place, was never fond of it. It just bloated our numbers and made us ‘appear’ like a real pvp servers. the sunny day pvpers came back and the Qs got big, already ruin have bailed and others will follow I say good, i want to go back to t2/t3 have moderate-no Qs and have people fight with me that want to be there for the tactics and fun, not the kitten or gloating. Deso is a pve server with prob the worst sunny day pvpers there is in EU, we dont deserve to be in t1 imo, and this is from someone on deso since day1

haha ruins long time plans didnt last long did they, good by sunny day deso pvpers. No Qs for any BL again and everyone moaning at each other about the 100 reasons why we are losing. Its the drop from t1-t3 all over again, sunny day pvpers and guilds stop Qing and will prob all go to blacktide. sad to see it happen twice in space of 6 weeks

I actually created a ticket today about my email(and a thread that was closed, rightfully) and got a response like 3hrs later and have got my prob sorted. have to say it was very prompt

You have 4 skill slots you can fill with banners, use them lol.

Elite warbanner skill will last you the whole time if you wack it down just as bar hits 99% done, hit ‘F’ and bring it with you for the ride. Will get you to the top if not near enough to it and if you jump unlike a total spaz you will be ahead of the mob in seconds and not have to deal with massive norns and charrs.

Ye im not having a go at RUIN, yous seem to have your heads screwed on, had some very good fights in EB just a few mins ago with a grp of yas(I assumed yous only on during nighttime till I saw few of ya;s earlier) but Im just kinda saying well now we are winning and doing well again, and ignoring ruin totally for a sec Im wondering where these long Qs are coming from lol, im seeing so many random puggers appear and barking out stuff in team/map chat and it kinda vexs me that they were nowhere for a few weeks when we were in dire needs.
Me being bitter maybe, but Im not sure i want them all back clogging up Q times when they will vanish the next time we have a hard fight(which will defo happen soon enough if we start going up the tiers again)

Not sure Im happy about our new nightime/US influx on deso tbh. Sure noone likes getting spanked and we had some very hard few weeks with massive nightcapping aka french server or hacking cheating ones like SFR or kodash. But now we are just becoming a night capping server aswell if we have to rely on US guilds to get most our points at night time, becoming what we loathed and moaned about for a solid month.

That and now the fake aka sunny day pvpers are all out in droves, we have Qs again in the evenings and very active wvw, now dont get me wrong no Qs but noone in wvw wasnt a good thing, but at least it was usually good pvpers if you did find a fight or grp now its back to mindless zergs with pvers hunting silver and XP more then anything.
That and we all want balanced good fights this week, as the majority of us play from 6pm-12am every evening and if deso nightcap and blacktide do their russian ‘morning cap’ then by time its prime wvw time for most of us then its just gona be lame and the main scores and fights are never gona be around that time

Gota laugh at idiots in here claiming SFR lost some ground or kodash became 3rd not 2nd due to the WvW invisible bug. I can assure you as many people died to invisible zergs on deso as any other server, and the % that rage quit over it was the same on deso as every other server aswell. Or were we magically not effected by the bug? lolz.

I cant believe deso are being called nightcappers lolz, we have had 3 weeks of massive nightcapping done by our opponents, and till about 2 days ago SFR were doing the exact same, they had vast majority of points from 2am-8am every night till about tues.
Also I find SFR and kodash players saying deso lack skill or w/e laughable, not because they are wrong(they are wrong but not my point) but because while you debate skills and cheeky gameplay as in porting out of a unwinable fights etc, your two servers are constantly hacking and cheating, its getting so old and boring.

SFR and kodash will just be known as cheaters and hackers now to alot of deso inc me and my guild, Im not sure yous will care but its a shame. brings the fair fighters down as im sure there are alot on sfr who hate the cheats aswell, but the constant hacking just says it all about your server in general.

Hey folks, been testing my ping out with resource montior since the game itself has no ingame tracker for it(lazy imo)
I seem to be getting fairly high pings most evenings not far off the 100 mark, Now I’m under the impression the servers are in frankfurt for the EU? I should get around 30-40 for that on average really.

Ive checked with others who play the game and they also have high pings, most being in UK. I also wonder why the servertime is still shown as US time/US server time in game when selected, surely servertime should be gmt+1 for germany and not an american time, are we still on US servers?

Hey folks, we know the devs read these threads but sadly alot are just full of rage, lets just keep this one calm and no outright demands or threats or any of that childish lark.

Lets just ask for a comment, even to say they are aware of it and be fixed soon. I know they responded to the overall culling problem but I and most people who work in software/programming know it is not a problem that can be fixed that easily.

But it really needs to be top of the ‘to-do’ list right now, this and the vexing orb hacks and fly hacks. Even a short term temp fix would be fantastic, there has to be something to lessen the problem

WvW is the games endgame for me and most people I know, I love it when its good, its the best mmo open world pvp in years, but at the moment its more bad then good and its such a shame, Id gladly take a few days WvW downtime if they could get some stuff sorted, I’m sure most of us feel the same.
Anet aren’t oblivious to the problems in WvW at the moment, but I’m not sure they realise how big an effect it is having on the playerbase and how many people will just stop playing, never underestimate how flakey mmo players can get :P

Yet we are still full right now, which would suggest we still have a huge population on the go, I think we may literally have the smallest player who pvps – player population ratio of the game

Im not a fan of people jumping ships, esp one getting gangbanged by french icebergs all the time, but wvwvw is endgame in this game for me, and I want/intend to do alot of it. If im on a server where its just not the main focus of the server itself and its far more a pve casual server then I may have to leave, Im a part of the problem not the fix then and im not saying I will bail, but its just a thought I have and Im not so sure I can really blame alot of people and kins who did leave

I’m generally curious as to why it seems US server trios for the most part seem to have very close and balanced scores where as on the majority(if not all) EU trios we seem to have one server way out in front, and sometimes the other two close to each other and miles behind.

Is it due to US servers inc a more diverse timezone, where as you would assume the UK/Ire servers are one time zone, Fr another, SP and DE another etc.

I’m aware there are a lot of night-capping EU servers but I’m sure the US have this too, oceanic players come to mind.
Is it that just the close US matchups post screenshots of their scores and paint a different picture or what?
Myself Ive only had one week of wvw when the scores were close, we came 2nd iirc but it was such good fun. I hate it when one team just steams ahead esp so early in a match up, its just no fun and surely the winning team has to deal with long Qs and boredom & lack of fights when they do get in.

So Im asking why do yous think it is this way, and also while I have the thread made is there any actuall EU matchups close this week? I obv cant tell outside of people posting screenies on the forums.

Man Deso can not get a break, if its not massive french nightcapping zerg servers, its these two new ones. Bloody seafarers and kodash, out and out cheats. Nothing else to it. You can talk about 1 lad and his brother all you want, there was sieges 2day where you both servers couldnt take something belonging to deso(mind u we have very few points) and they go and cheat to get it, be it flyhacks or noclipping under the ground, god knows how they do it i dont pretend to know, but they do. They are CHEATS

What the hell is going on with deso these days, have we noone left to wvw or put up a fight? always seems to be so little of us on. The % of our server that must be pvping right now must be tiny

using mesmer portal jumps is hacks to me, its not literally but its just cheeky and cheaty. You know kitten well the server culling will make you ‘appear’ far to late to be a fair fight with whatever you are against, its teh same as grps spamming the thief aoe stealth ‘house’ skill, everyone stealths then takes a while to unstealth due to culling and gain prob 4 times the stealth they should obtain. Its cheating and lame, and your a crap and pathetic player to do it.

Witnessed it myself just earlier, a kitten shame and leaves a bitter taste for the week now. We know were are against cheats and must treat them as such. People who done it should be banned, but hard to prove if no solid screenshots/evidence on offer. Although Anet will have records of orb being in A then being in B, in Y time under X circumstances. And I’m sure they can tell what was done. Will they do anything?

Deso were never teamed up with anyone, and GH literally tried an alliance for few nights with AR when deso had the lead, I thought it was a great move to make it more balanced and fun but how on earth do u get deso & AR teaming together i dont know, arent you aware deso hates the french? Just a heads up, I’m not sure what [IRON] are, or what they are about, But Ive seen them on lots of other servers bar deso this week, It would appear they are jumping to ‘winning’ servers when deso is losing.

Why are people on gandara giving out about deso nightcappers and massive Qs, you realise we have 0 queues now pretty much, bar weekend prime times lol. Aint for about 10days+

The pvp has dropped, people just are not Qing, the mindset of alot of players is why should I go to WvW, when all I come up against is a rolling zergball of frenchies, last week there was Qs on most evenings and it was reall fun after a week of boredom V VS and FS, now again we have a nightcapping french server against us and people just dont Queue.

They see there work and effort as pointless when everything is flipped at 3am, and as I said they just meet zergs everywhere and at everytime of the day and night, its boring.
I can count at least 15 1v1/2v2s last week I had, Ive had 0 so far this weekend, the french just roll around in zergballs, never alone or in small grps, they are pve’rs who fight gates and walls.

I dont think the server pop has changed, just the willingness to PVP has.

When did they change this. Its was daftly fast and easy story mode granted, but it had no decent rewards worth farming it for or any income worth your time, so why buff it so much. went to do it with a 4man alt grp today aswell as last few times it was very easy, and my god the frustration. all the normal mobs are like elites now, and they ALL kick you back with the most vexing attack ever, made me want to punch the screen and Ive been someone sticking up for the dungeons so far, as I really like alot of the explorable, but i cant keep defending them forever, i want my mates to stay in game so i dont have to pug runs, anet pls dont drive them away with this turdness :P

Not sure the point of this thread, but Ill just point out 1 thing, an ele saying he cant aoe ‘tag’ is just silly.
Go daggers and you will hit anything u want. you have 2 skills that close down massive range and about 6 big aoe skills that spread around you or are a ‘cone’ you aim.
As someone who is lvling most classes, and has a high lvl warr aswell trust me ele is lacking in areas, but aoe dps or ‘tagging’ is not it. Prob the easiest class to tag tbh

If you go staff to think you can tag easier due to its range and aoe skills then your wrong. The time it takes to tag say a grp of 10 mobs on the left and a grp of 5 mobs on the right with 2 or 3 spread out mobs way behind you on daggers will take 1/3rd of the time it takes to get em on staff. And more importantly the dmg you do in that burst time on the mobs is far far more with daggers.
(just stating dagger V staff weap skills here 1-5, ignoring sceptre and all ele skill slot skills 6-0, which again there is a few that will help you ‘tag’ mobs far faster and better)

As a Deso player I must say this weeks WvW has been great so far, I just fear that winning the trio, we will be placed with VS(fr) again and they are lame gits who tbh just ruin it, its just that they beat us(they do soundly) but its the extreme nightcapping the massive guild organised zergs and there is never any little 1v1 or 2v2 or skirms around the map like this week, with VS its either 50zerg or noone.

Im not looking forward to next week, maybe we should let gunnars hold win

Ye organised night time players? there is prob a dozen in each borderlands from 2-8am for FS and Deso, because you know they are actually EU servers and majority of the players have lives and work and familys and sleep needs?

Sure you get late nights on all servers but you take the % that actually WvW and aint just faffing about as its middle of the night and you get flip all.

The reason VS do well at night is because they have a huge Non-Eu playerbase on there server, so have loads on at them times and they dont even organise, the fact they lose during peak times to the other 2 servers all the time would suggest they are the least organised and worst server on the Trio. Its just they have numbers at night the others do not.

Your being stupid, You might aswell tell the footy team with just 1 goalie on the pitch to organise himself better and not let the team with 11 players on the pitch to win

First off a server saying Full does not mean it is currently full, it is at its CURRENT CAP AND NOT LITERALLY FULL.

All this thread is doing(along with endless trolling and rage) is showing VS in a very bad light, A warrented one imo as they are a bad server and do nothing for WvW or the game, Im sure they dont care as they are ‘winning’.

But its just shows them out as cheap lame players, every evening from about 5pm-12pm(GMTish time for you canadians) FS and even Deso win most fights and take back most of the points lost the night/morning before. Then at about 1am-8am VS take them back when there is NO Qs on deso or FS, and prob have a dozen players on each borderlands.

Its sad but its true, and everyone in here knows it. Ive no idea what ANet can do, all I can say as a deso player i cant wait till we come 3rd on friday and get 2 diff servers to play with. I can only imagine it will be alot more fun and fair.
