Skill/ability to manipulate another professions mechanic related thing (like remove amounts of initiative, increase activation times of atunements, cause damage when using a shatter skill, etc). And manipulation for weapon swapping too.

Skill/ability to slot four heal skills ( three in place of utility skills) or four utility skills (one in place of elite skill).

Skill/ability to switch between different heals while in combat (and the same for elites too).

Skill/ability to have two elite (or heal) skills slotted (one goes into a utility slot) at the cost of something like not being able to use the profession mechanic or maybe dodge.

A heal reclaim gauge bar that fills with each successful heal of an ally. When this heal bar is filled, different things can be done (increased power, increased healing, increase condition damage, be able to perform a skill, etc). Have to bar available for all professions so that each profession can have more heal support play. Each profession could have their own unique mechanic for the heal bar too. There could be more bars like this to support other type of gameplays (support, buffs, interrupts, cc, etc) that could use more play support.

Have condition damages that flicker or fade intensity periodically with stacks.
Example: one stack flickered burning lasts for 2 seconds and ends with double damage.
Example 2: one stack of weakened chill lasts for 5 seconds. First second slowness is 66%, 2nd to 4th second slows to 33%, and last second is 80% slowness.

Other variations can be done also.

Condition or skill that causes two or more allies in the area of a targeted enemy to uncontrollably run towards that target and attack that target with an attack given by this skill or condition. This is a CC plus damage skill/condition. If no ally of enemy is present, npcs will spawn instead and attack target using cc abilities with damage.

Mirror CC skill that causes target(s) to uncontrollably mirror your movements and gain any conditions or boons that you have or receive. If you move forward, your target(s) do the same. If you quickly jump to the side, your target(s) mirror that. If you get launched back, so does the target(s). If you get feared, so does the target(s). Etc.

Skill or condition that applies strong damage and other actions when a target dodges. Causes faltered avoidance. Also reduces dodging distance. May also cause other dodging defects like ineffective dodging (does not prevent damage), loss of stamina, loss of dodging ability and incremental stamina loss when attempting to dodge, or excessive dodging.

Skill/boon/condition/effect that may increase or decrease health bar, stamina bar, profession mechanic bar and cause exhaustion of these limits to target or oneself after doing so.

Server pve (or server pve world) chat channel that is visible to all maps, that way info about any event can be sent to all pve players on the server to gather more players for an event if there is not enough players on a map to complete an event. This would be a general pve channel for general pve topics instead of having general pve topics spammed in a map channel.

Full server channel with limit access (maybe commanders or other requirements) to prevent abuse and spam etc, for wider spreading messaging (general game chatting not related to map things). This also reduces chat spam not related to specific map things on the specified map channel.

Guild recruitment tool in-game so that players do not have to spam map channel chat to recruit players.

oh and buying and selling gems UI is a little confusing because of where to buy button is located.

And also when limits have been met, what then?
It’s a long term type of game, you shouldn’t be complacent and try to keep things the same and disuade changes believe business is better for that.
It’s an mmo, expansion and growth (including content retaining capacities) comes with it.
If things didn’t increase, we’d still be left with the lesser capacity of older and more confined games like gw1 storage capacity.

They’ll be over having too much item capacity in no time.
And why advocate for holding back to try to sell something else? Look how not havin a character slot with the expansion went. It leaves the game at a low value and players don’t like it.
Having more does not prevent people from get more.

Those capacities and limits were made before an expansion. It makes sense to expand the holding capacity, which can still be expanded, of the base game.
It’s not a detrimental thing to their income. It’s horizontal and vertical growth. Those who will buy will still buy and those who don’t will still not. This is a natural growth progression of an expanding game and added content. Not doing so, would more or so hinder it’s natural growth and congestion would only slightly be relieved by small incremental expansion with am ever increasing build up with time and new content.
If players buy the expansion, they get a greater increase and are more likely to expand, and a net sales goes up, is that good enough reason why?

With the expansion coming out, all item holding capacities should be automatically upgraded and enhanced to make room for the new items in the expansion. Things like stack capacity, bank tab capacity per tab, bag capacities, guild banks, and any other things that may not have been mentioned.
These enhancement could be greater for players who upgrade to the new expansion.

Be able to create other character things that are not combat and profession related to add some spice to the game. Things like mobile air, land and underwater things. These things would have their own stats, skins, functionality, control UI, purposes, etc. They could be used in mini games too. They could miniatures that could move around in the open world and go into miniature arenas and other instances to adventure or do whatever. Some select minis could be used and then more to be included.
New character type things of all sorts can be done but that is all for now.

A flag that can be moved around like banners and can be seen on the map like commander tags.

This could be used to improve guild representation in a location and to provide markers for meeting spots.

Small guilds would be able to get one flag with color choices.

Large guilds would be able to get multiple larger sized flags in multiple color choices.

Each large flag would require the guild to have 100 members to have (a 500 member guild would be able to get 5 large flags plus one medium/normal sized flag).

To be able to use a large flag, 100 member must be online (each 100 member online allows for a large flag to be used. 500 members online will allow 5 flags to be used).

Each large flag will have a number on it to display the number of members online and to uniquely identify itself from other flags without having to be a different color (1 for 100 and 2 for 200 etc).

Flags will display guild emblems.

Flags can be re-skinned.

Flags can be dyed.

Large flags give bonuses.

Each large flag when useable, allows access to guild weapon skins.

the new new secondary profession.

each profession can hot swap to two other selected professions. when another profession is switched to, the player swaps to that professions and uses it’s profession mechanic but with different skill/skills in its place. the new skill could be the same and used across the board for all non-main professions or could be different itself for each profession (variations and choice could be made by devs).

each profession could start with two swappable professions and a new swap profession could be added every month or two.

for engis, having a second weapon would only increase the number of skills slightly but if that’s too much then removing some F key skills when swapping weapons is selected could help offset the increased number of skill though.

the number of weapon skills for ele and engi doesn’t change for the half and half thing i said but having more weapons to swap to for the others would increase their amount of quick swappable skills would (probably to something as mentioned above).

pressing f1 or f2 would use skills from one weapon and pressing f3 or f4 would use skills from another weapon so number of available skill doesn’t change. skill types are mixed from two different weapons instead.

other professions would have skill types from four weapons instead of two and would have a similar amount of skills as do eles and engi though.

this could be an upgrade and balance to the current weapon skill bar.

this is a number balance while professions still have their uniqueness as ele’s uniqueness is mentioned above. eles and engis just currently have quick access to more skills than others at the moment.

allow weapon swap for ele and engis but when they swap weapons, only half of their F skills can be used for one weapon and the other half for the other weapon. so f1 – f2 would be for one weapon and f3 – f4 would be for the other weapon.

Yeah, in1v1 downed state, not all professions are equal. Some even out do others when they are up (for a good amount).
Downed state could use some rebalancing or reworking.

good questions. i’ll pose some of those to you. maybe you can find a place for the suggestion somewhere in the game. my suggestions are not to answer questions but i may answer some questions. the suggestion is to improve the portal skill, it doesn’t improve the game as a whole that much really, just a tiny bit (desirably so). what balance may there be needed? negative?…portal skill becomes meta? i suggested this to troll the gw2 discussion forum…seems to partially be working. It should be implemented to troll opposers of the OP portal skill.

sorry, that’s all of the depth of the suggestion that you get. your replies (at least a few of the replies) don’t contribute much to the suggestion either.
i don’t really see much portal skills being practiced in spvp really.
make you’re own suggestions and put you’re own amount of thoughts into them.
opinions noted.
some replies are constructive though and also noted.
make the suggestion a trait, perhaps, if it is too intrusive of different of game-play usages or have undesired affects.
and if the suggestions are not good enough for you, i don’t want to hear about it.

be able to slot in different profession mechanic for all professions (much like how skills are slotted in) for modified versions or just added new mechanics.

be able to slot in a different dodge mechanic (could be a different movement mechanic or something totally different altogether) for each profession with some for all profession and some for each individual profession (maybe something to supplement any weaknesses associated with that profession). maybe a shield mechanic. or a short dash mechanic. or a parrying mechanic. or a counter skill mechanic. or a high damage melee mechanic. or a high or far jump mechanic.

be able to slot in different downed skills.

have a resurrect skill slot only for resurrection skills, with more resurrect skills to slot in.

have a reverse launch throw skill that launches an enemy behind you (this is a combat move skill where a person holds on to the upper arms of another person and falls backwards on their back and kicks their feet into the abdomen of the other person to throw them backwards)

a skill that causes five allies in the area to have their screens brighten and themselves turn into large quaggans, moas, golem or some other thing (or a mix of five things) for a few seconds, that has increase damage (or depending on what thing the player turns into), an extra skill somewhere near the skill bar, and increase health and armor (supportive skill). an additional opposite type of skill could be used against enemies.

a skill that turns the enemy around and holds them in place for a few seconds to be easily attack from behind.

a directional fear skill that makes them run to the left or right instead of away.

a fear object that can be placed above ground level in concentrated groups to disperse them. this object can be destroyed by ranged attacks. it pulses fear to ten people, damage to five, and chill to five other if there is more in the area.

a confusion skill that causes all enemies and allies to appear as one of a different number of different creature models. they would also appear to have the same attack skills and be attacking no matter what skill action they are using.

a skill that can steal minions or other player created companions from enemies.

a skill that creates an object that absorbs damage and conditions from a selected ally and converts it into healing and boons that it emanates to nearby allies but for enemies it increases damage and increases condition damage and duration. it also has passive affects for allies and enemies also to remain useful at all times active.

a floating portal skill that pulls in nearby enemies and teleports them to another location far away.

have areas that have multiple short distance portals. some portals may be stationary while others may be mobile. some may be always active while others may be set on a timer.

have different group compositions of sparring npcs in pvp lobby (groups of two, three, four, five of one profession or a mix).

have an elite specialization that has weapon skills that can be changed without changing weapons.

The clones would attack skill user allies but not do damage and instead hurt enemies. Their health would match the original enemy and confuse any support enemies. They serve as a decoy because enemies are usually focused on enemies. They could also be created as voodoo dolls that will send limited damage to those that are cloned when they are attacked. They’re appearance could be different to not confuse the allies of the skill user.
