Oh I like this thread a lot! And I love PvP!

Hello everyone! Zoose here, avid PvPer and GW2 fanatic! I’d just like to input the fact that there is a lot of negativity on these forums, and games tend to do or die from their communities. Let’s all be a bit more positive and happy about things. Your fixes will come soon, not everything is perfect, and things will fall into place eventually. In the mean time, enjoy the game, theorycraft, figure out some counters and play to your best ability!

I personally find that this game has an extreme amount of flexibility. At a top tier level this game still allows you to be flexible. There are teams that are successful running every class in this game. Don’t lose hope for your class. There’s always a way, friends. : ]

-You clearly dont care about the PvP quality, this is also apparent from your 2nd bullet point. Who the F cares about meaningless, superficial crap like this? You want some gay little icon or some crap to represent something about your progression? Go complete the world map, since its not PvP you are caring about

Leavers are still a major problem.

When will “leavers” not be a problem? Do you actually think some short term punishment for leaving will make people not want to leave? You want anet to slap people on the wrist and put them in time out? QQ

Any proof of your major paid tourney accomplishments? Just wondering since your opinion seems to be PvE centric so far, which has nothing to do with the quality of the PvP itself.

There is no spectator mode.

TL;DR

This guy cares too much about PvE, superficial representations of accomplishments, unimportant menial features that can easily be supplemented by simple google searches. He’s not a sPvP’er.

I agree with a lot of what you’re saying, but please try to be friendly instead of being so hostile.

There are some things in the OP that should be implemented. For example, spectator client is in the works, but streams are not a replacement for that. Leavers are a problem, but instead of saying there’s no way to fix it, maybe with a discussion a solution can be thought up to at least put a dent into it.

Also, providing PvE incentives for competing in sPvP can be a great gateway for newer players to start playing sPvP. There’s a lot of people that just do dungeons, WvW, etc. When a rating system comes out I think it would be a great idea to give some incentives for PvEers to try out sPvP again.

Lastly, Be Friendly! There’s no reason to split the community into sPvPers vs non-sPvPers. We all play this game because we love guild wars 2! Embrace it.

Hey there, Zoose here, avid PvPer and Elementalist for Team Curse. I moved to the EU server Desolation to be able to play tournaments. Unfortunately, I am running into the same problem as my Team Captain, Neuro. We are not receiving tickets, chests, or gems for our wins in free or paid tournaments. If you could fix this ASAP Team Curse would be greatly appreciated!

Hello, this is an updated post in regards to Team Curse (NA). We are currently looking for more members to fulfill our squad. Here is what we are looking for:

- An exceptional mechanical player
- A high level of understanding of the game and strategies
- ONE support player—guardian preferred for current meta

- The other role can be anything as long as you are exceptional at it
- Fulfill Curse’s requirement of streaming 20+ hours a week
- Be able to put out content
- Able to use social media sites such as facebook, twitter, and youtube
- Able to communicate well

Understand that because you have passed the tryouts does not gaurantee you are 100% on the team. There will be constant tryouts, and if someone better steps up to the plate then we will be taking that person over you.*

Join an empty server and duel, if someone else joins you can just go to the mist and join another one yah.

I play the same exact S+D build that I do in tourney play, the only difference is if I face a necro then I take cleansing fire instead of arcane wave. You can see some of the things I do on my stream. I stream most of my 1v1s and tourney play.

To answer your question though, you can spec into a 1v1 class as a D+D Ele and do extremely well. D+D Eles give me a harder time 1v1 than most because shocking aura is just so good. Plus they just buffed D+D Eles! I might just switch to it haha :]

The 3 bunker meta is annoying, but it loses to a team of high mobility…or a necro :P

i would love to fight ex force if he’s down.

because sitting in time warp is balanced and no the ele’s elite doesn’t suck it’s actually pretty good. most of the time you dont have your elite up and that’s just basic 1v1 standards. i’ve also had fights where we include elites. i had a thief pop thieves guild on me and still get dunked when i didnt use mine.

most of my fights go attack on sight i just put that there because. i should prob take it off.
