more to the point… 7th toon you say?

it should be easy to do? exotics are easy to get, and ascended is just a bit time gated, weapons i mean of course. If its ascended armor then yea that might take awhile, but its not needed unless you want to run lvl 40+ fotm’s?

Legendary is the only thing that is really grindy, but thats if you have 1 level 80, you have 7! what have you done with all your mats?

Get used to the grinding, they rarely add content, so the content we have has been here for awhile. In other words you have no choice but to grind the same content because there is nothing else to do. Except wait for these feature patches that should be introduced in weekly maintenance patches bc they arnt anything special.

And this is an MMO, everyone is grindy in its own way

Assuming we’re talking non-critters, the ‘biggest number’ I’ve seen was by doing a Dagger Storm while standing inside Scarlet’s Prime Hologram during the Battle on the Breachmaker, as doing so ensured that every dagger flying outward hit the Hologram, causing the damage to stack up which is something that doesn’t usually happen with that skill. I wound up inflicting a little over 110k damage once, though under normal cases with less crits/Might I’d be doing 70-80k.

Other fights where you should be able to see big numbers are against Masticus in the Queen’s Gauntlet due to Bloodlust stacks, and the Legendary Dredge/Ice Elemental bosses in the Underground Facility Fractal where the lava debuff causes them to suffer massive damage. Unfortunately, I’m usually the one operating the lava controls, so I don’t have big numbers to report from there.

For example 100b in a few seconds tally up to 30-60k for me, and eviscerate 10-20k.

It won’t stop stacking. People will still stack. They won’t be able to burn through the encounter with FGS 4 though.

The stacking for that particular skill will certainly cease, because if it is fixed, it won’t work like it does now.

Your 100b is a channel skill. So it is much more than one hit. You are seeing the cumulative damage from the entire channel with your last swing.

Edit: The damage you see is also dependent upon your target’s armor. So unless everyone is hitting the same target in the same conditions (vulnerability etc), the numbers posted here are rather useless.

Im making this post bc of one i just commented on seeing a mesmer hit for 34k.

I hit around 60+k on 100B in Coe on the stairs of p2 and p3 right before alpha 2nd encounter.

It would be nice to know the damage potential of each class. im getting bored of the warrior, so it would be cool to know how much damage every class can do.

Whether its a 5-10 second burst and a single hit.

I agree that more variation to appeal to different tastes would be nice. I’m fairly satisfied with the armor for all my characters except my human female guardian. It seems like there isn’t much choice between a couple of “sexy” outfits and a whole bunch of heavy armor that makes my character’s butt and hips looks like she just birthed triplets. I’ve mixed and matched many different outfits, but there’s little I care for in regards to leggings. I love the full armor (knight-like look); just don’t love the hefty hips/butt, and tail look.

That being said, being able to dye our outfits many different colors is awesome. Love that.

In regards to legendary weapons, I like them a lot, but I doubt I’ll ever have one unless I manage to level up another character and make her a weaponsmith. If I bought enough gems to pay for one, it would probably cost me about $500 real money. There’s no way I’ll ever do that.

Dont think like that, a Legendary is very attainable, unless your first toon JUST hit 80?

If you want one id suggest, farm farm farm all speed dungeons, then once you have 1-3k tokens of a few dungeons, grab the exotic weapons you want a legendary for and mystic forge em. Use laurels on T6, and turn your T5 into T6. You can do it ^.^

In regards to the OP i agree, the only thing i can tolerate to wear is the ancestral outfit, all the armors are plain and most people look alike. Perfect World [pwi] had better looks in its ftp game

Ill let go of asking for dueling, mounts, player housing where you dont have to spend RL money, or 80+ gold -.- to farm copper ore and green wood, or pay close to 10$ for a 3rd crafting profession active lol.

Great game for people who start new, but once you run the 8 dungeons and get a legendary nothing else to do.

Said it before that there needs to be some drastic changes added, bc gw2 is on a steep down hill slope.

If i had the exotic Advance spinal blades back piece, and trans-mutated it to a wind catcher, then trans-mutated it back to it original icon look, can i still ascend it? I already put the original look back onto it and it allows me to put it in the MF, but i didn’t buy the gift of blades yet nor make the T7 ascended mats x15 to try it yet, because that’s quite a bit of coin.

So to not bicker back and forth i ask… What else could i have done? all mobs on the way were killed like i said, i guess we could have wiped the party but we would have needed to find the cave troll to kill us. And resetting the instance was a choice too but knowing how buggy this game is in certain places like AC p2 in that particular room it wasn’t something id prefer to do. With all these ninja nerfs and stealth fixes you’d think they would actually fix something that needs fixing. That was the point of my entire post.

You do not need strength runes to reach 25 might, yes you might go down to 21 might at times, but not too often. The point is im in Spvp right now and im keeping 25 might on myself. Full zerker gear, fury signet, scholar runes, FGJ, signet of rage, and accuracy and strength Sigils on.

And in all reality if someones next complaint is well 21 might isnt 25 might… true but someone is def going to use that 2-4 might stacks to get us all back to 25 might.

Oh! FGJ gives 6 might, so if im at 21 -22 might my group is at 25. So i alone can keep 25 might on my party.

This game has been out for almost 2 years…How can Detha still bug and not make this dungeon proceed. Anet get your stuff together please and fix stuff that need fixing, and stop nerfing stuff that dont need to please

Some people just cant jump, the motor skills in their hand cant adapt. I think its easy, i like the #2 one where it shoots you forward, i use that to get around in the new map.

1 thing i would do to improve this whole jumping system would be give the jump skills more time, or no time limit at all.

I like the construct of the new map a lot, not the jumping concept but the way it looks and the mine. It gives me that explorer feeling that i only had at the beginning of the game when i was a newby. The buried chests are a great idea too.

The story is pretty decent, i like the end part where everyone is in that room, this is the first time in curious about what comes next. I never really cared for the story last season.

this game seems to be dead, even with the failure of mega servers no one plays anymore. All my friends left. I loved this game but it seems like Anet or whoever is in charge is purposefully trying no… succeeding to kill GW2. Must be so they can focus on wildstar….

Instead of just complaining ill say what GW2 needs to survive…
1. More Dungeons.
2. GvG
3. Duels
4. More Fractals
5. Dedicated pvp map where you don’t have to spend real money or 100gold to BUY a custom arena to have fun with your friends.

Do everything, clear maps by doing hearts poi’s vistas, do every event you run into, and keep up with your personal story. For people playing GW2 first time, its super fun and there’s a ton to do, so do it all. There’s no best way to level unless you already have a level 80 and are trying to power level alts. For your first toon to 80 just do everything thats in front of you.

Do not need extra might duration, a half way decent warrior will keep the 25 might stacks up permanently and that’s without them over expensive garbage strength runes AND thats without any other might generated by the other party members. If you don’t see how the signet of fury and rage helps a phalanx warrior help his/her party, that must be a troll or you just don’t know how a phalanx warrior works ^.^ sometimes you can swap out signet of fury if you have a spotter ranger with you for signet of might, or if requested sure i would drop tactics banner but making sure my critical hit chance is maxed is my first priority.

And to the pugs that don’t drop banners, just ask or link which banner your running at the beginning before you start, wake them pugs up and don’t let them get lazy and have to be carried early on.

So it seems my point was not clear, im not saying i purposely dodge into my target for the skill itself, im saying its a good way to boost damage output by simply doing what i was going to do anyway… Dodge! plus even if i were to use it to hit 10k, and you say the GS auto hits harder… The dodge skill hits more targets ⁵ so i can dodge quick into them avoiding damage taken while doing some good dps to them as well as giving might to my team. im not sure if i can make this seem any more simpler?

@ Guanglai Kangyi how often do you run groups with at least 2 warriors? me? i always have a second warrior at least, so we always have banners. We are selfless players!

Oh my SS with 9+k was when i was running full zerker sorry for confusion, but 10k is absolutely attainable. I think what i was trying to say is PS helps a zerker warrior hit 10k dodges easily. and i have kitten hitting Eye of Zhaitan for 7,331.

Also Tree the only mechanic used is that i look at my might and buffs, and purposely dodge into a group while my skills are on CD, works best with 3+ mobs bc it also gives might.

First off screw all the negative nancys, this build has to be brought to every warriors attention.

I run PS a little different, but both ways work fine. I do 2 6 0 6 0, the 2 points in strength are mainly for reckless dodge, in your combat log its named momentous strike, and it can hit 5 targets up to 10k a piece, and it counts towards your might stacking, so it can give you up to 5 might if your rebuilding. And in tactics I been running lung capacity instead of empowered, bc since im already traited into tactics I should be the one using shouts, like on my mark and fgj, while the other warriors run banners.

Oh and these 18gold a piece strength runes? Not worth it at all, dont waste your money on them. Farm coe for charged cores or lodestones and make yourself some scholar runes.

Every single group should always have 1 warrior run this build, either my way or the OPs. When im running dungeons my group has perma 25 stacks of might. I myself use a superior sigil of strength and accuracy in my phalanx greatsword, and night and force in my pure zerk one.

GL HF and experiment guys, its great to be the sole reason a boss in the crown pavalion burns super fast, bc you have everyone around you with 25 might stacks…

Hey Shadow add me in game if you from NA, i start gold runs often. I might do one tonight, but worst case scenario ill start one Saturday and be in it for hours. Another way is to use the LFG tool, and to get taxi’d in.

I was and still am very pleased with the watchnight tonic though, but I’D LOVE FOR IT TO BE PERMANENT. Arena Net consider it please! or at least have it last 15 minutes on and then 15 minutes off, that would make alot of us happy

I prefer to use dagger and focus, because they do m8re damage when not stacking might and have more useful skills for support. You can stack 18 stacks of might also and have a prjectile destroyer and an invincibility.

You should always have 6 points in fire for persisting flames. And I put 6 into arcanca for EA, for the blast from dodging in earth.

I start in fire so now you have 2 fields with d f, I use 3 for damge then drop fire 4 on the target, swap to earth dodge then 4, arcane brilliance, arcane wave while swapping to water and use water 3 then 5. For damage dealing use air 1. You can use arcane brilliance any point where you swap attunments, but it is a minimal channel time so it can be interrupted if you use another skill that has a channel time, thats why I use it while attument swapping.

Test it out and play around with it in spvp against the indestructible golem, and have fun.

Oh and the main reason I use dagger focus vs anything else is because eles are super squishy in full zerker, so this weapin set keeps me alive when it counts to be.

This is getting rather annoying, seeing as it happens in instances also. I have just been switching to a different chat tab with whisper not checked on it. Then again i have to randomly swap to the whisper channel to see if any actual friends whispered me. It’s not even the old messages anymore where its barley noticeable, now they make the each single message take up the entire chat log box with squares and whatever. Do something…

Hey im surprised no one has mentioned to try and play an Elementalist!! Although if it’s your first serious toon, its one of the hardest. Just on the weapon you get 20 skills, i use dagger/dagger mostly and staff when its called for. I love the bouncing around i can do, good damage good heals and good crowd control. Ele is one of if not my favorite out the 6 level 80’s i have.

Edit : just read the rest of your comment nagr, but yea Ele <3 thief is great too, a well played thief can do alot with well timed stealth, and almost unlimited blast finishers with short bow.

Warrior is easy mode, great mobility also.

And down the line make a guardian for large group zerg-like raid/world boss hunt for staff.

I play ele, warrior, guardian and engineer the most. Any questions hmu

And its not implemented because everything different in Guild Wars 2 is to prevent as much fighting and raging as possible, and that’s great. Like simple mining nodes, how many games can people mine the same node together and not have to fight over who’s first.
If open world dueling was introduced, there will always be someone to cry, and complain, and say this is too strong this is too weak, and create diversity. We may not like some of things done in this game, but if you look at the big picture, its a much more health universe here. Anet knows what their doing.

Fixed, and when random players use their skills and drop fields when not in combat, like Gendarren Fields, or where AFKers are, where there is absolutely no enemies to hit is any different? You get distracted quite easily.

To your edit, ill give you that. Me personally i could care less if i win or lose. All i would like is to kill time waiting for someone to come back from afk, or when im not in WvW or doing a champ train because that’s about all there is to do here anymore.
