I’d be surprised if such a thing exists, let alone a selection of them to choose from.

We have groups running most days of the week, but not at set times. And we’re on Dragonbrand. Only query in my mind is that we look for people who want to be part of an overall community, not just use us to complete dungeons. Anyway, have a read of the website, we might be a match.

We have people hugely into PvE, including dungeons, and our attitude might suit you a great deal. Perhaps less RP than you’d like but a supportive environment (and a section on our forum), if you did want to write a character profile, stories about your adventures, etc.

I think you’ll find, the longer you stay there, that it’s actually a pretty massive server. If you’re not seeing that already, via WvWvW wait times, I’d be mightily surprised. We’ve had people go there to complete sections of their WvWvW maps (as the areas were inaccessible in our matchups), and they encountered extraordinary wait times.

I do much the same, Cruzyo. I guess the biggest difference being that maybe because I started recruiting earlier, I now have over 90-plus members who are active every 24hrs on our forum, and in game, too. And all share the same sort of friendly and caring philosophy I have. People think guilds like ours don’t exist, but clearly they do

Dragonbrand had a bunch of traitorous guilds leave recently. Now, the funny part is, they left us to go to an already over-subscribed server, so their chances of even getting into WvWvW now are probably cut in half from what they were on Dragonbrand… but I digress. So how are you finding TC? It was already a fairly over-subscribed server before the recent push where a few TC guilds started poaching other guilds from servers (we were asked; we said a firm ‘no thanks’).

So just curious how things like the WvWvW queue is going on TC, given that it used to be enormous, by all counts, now has several other huge guilds added, on top. Surely it’s not a pleasant sort of thing?

Let me toss a thought out there… you recruited by pretty much asking, “Who wants to join my guild?” Am I right?

If so, you are pretty much reaping what you have sown.

Had you recruited by asking, “I want extremely social, chatty members…” you might not have recruited 25 people in the same period of time, but I guarantee you would have had a more active guildchat right now.

That’s fine; that’s your choice. In my experience, however, guilds that have applications acquire the most dedicated and passionate members; people who WANT to put in a little effort. And, in the end, people like that end up staying longer, and playing harder than those who don’t. If you find you’ve had a career of being in guilds that are “less than stellar”, you might just find it comes down to the kind of guild you’ve been joining, ie: by avoiding guilds like mine where the truly committed and passionate people are, you’re missing out on the best gaming experience. But, like I said, that’s your choice. I respect it.

Well, we have a whole process to go through. Reading our website and forum will let you know if you’re a match for us, and we’re one for you. Plus, how to apply. But it could be a match for sure.

Just a note that as we approach 100 members, we will be starting to slow down recruiting, perhaps even shut it off for some time. Just giving advance warning.

You should look further afield than just that server, especially if you are finding people on that server “in general” to not be doing it right. Just a suggestion.

Re: the “dedicated” point. Look at our name. Do you see us running off to play SWTOR with this name?

It’s pretty funny to hear of any SWTOR people throwing stones, given that their game lost 100s of 1000s of gamers, month after month, until crashing to become the worst MMO launch of all time and, soon to be F2P… and it’s not even a year old. LOL.

Gosh, all the people who flocked to SBI to be on “Kate Beckinsale’s server” (and we saw a few of them), are going to be heartbroken that you moved.

We’re on Dragonbrand, meanwhile. Got to say, we never saw you on our server. It must have been very brief, lately?

I was just curious to what you actually meant. It’s not something I need to “relax” about.

Can’t find a guild on Dragonbrand? Even with premier guilds of 100 people, like ours, running around Dragonbrand, 24×7 due to our international membership? Wow.

So, just out of curiosity, why don’t any of the people remaining on Fissure of Woe, step up and lead? Why do you need to bring someone else in, from outside, to led them?

If you’ll move from Blackgate (which I hear is a bit of a dud, anyway), to Dragonbrand, we would figure in the equation:

More than “just another guild”.

Thanks for your kind words. One of the “secrets” to our success was starting off, pre-game. Not too long before game that it fatigued people, but long enough that we could gather the team and get to know one another, via our forum and some Steam gaming, without the “distraction” of GW2 being live yet.

We might be a fit. I guess it depends on what you mean when you say minimal rules. Some people say that when they simply want miminal rules; others say it when they want to cuss up a storm, ignore the guild for months on end, etc, etc, and then still want to be considered a member. I guess it depends on which side you fall on…?

No set limit on how little or how much you should be in game.

Regular forum participation is nice though; but that can be as simple kitten minutes here, and 10 minutes there.

Has a voice comm of some sort.
— We have a commercial vent server

US based (preferably Central or Eastern Time Zone).
— The majority of our members (roughly 70/90) are in the US

Casual atmosphere is okay, nothing Hardcore.
— We are very casual, in terms of not having minimum playtimes, forced events, etc.

Guild that is okay with a planned time off
Sure, so long as you make a thread telling us, “Hey, I’m going on holidays for a couple of weeks…” so we know you haven’t just ditched us

Most members are NA-based, it’s true, however as the guild leader, I can tell you that I’m in Australia, along with a decent sized group of Aussies.

Have a read over our site, FAQ, etc. We’re not for everyone, but we might be for you.
