You can get 60 tokens from running that dungeons “daily” path for the first run of the day, then 20 tokens for every additional or different run after that. It will likely be one of the shortest grinds you have to on your way to a legendary.

OP. So far everyone on here has been doing their best to answer your original question- Am I Screwed?

Overwhelmingly the answer was no, and many people took the time to explain things that you can do in game in order to keep using your fancy new skin. Clearly though this is just another rant thread. You are not interested in solutions, only to complain. Next time feel free to indicate that in you original post, it would have saved these people’s time.

If the increase from 400 to 500 crafting adds an additional tier of resources the value of t6 mats could drop drastically. Putrid essences are not currently undervalued given what they can be used for, investing in them now hoping that they will be used in future crafting recipes is purely speculative.

You could always try the Moa track.

The class is a late bloomer, leveling can be…slow at times. We tend to hit puberty at about 40, and are well into quasi adulthood by 60.

Its early to say, but Rangers look better and better each day. They wear medium armor, and don’t do “magic” per say, but they do offer sustainable DPS and the class(along with Necros) have seen a lot of love from the devs lately. Something to add to the list.

I enjoy my mesmer tremendously, I have fooled around with alts, but keep abandoning them and going back to my main – I got it right on the first try .

Having said that, mesmers are not top damage, neither sustained nor burst IMO. They can do both moderately well, but Other classes out damage us at every turn. Most classes can auto attack for thousands more than we can….but once we get set up, a good chunk of our dps is set and forget, allowing us to focus on defence and utility while still applying damage or conditions via phantasms and clones….

It’s fun and varied, and my opinions are just that. Opinions.

^ this. Leveling is a pain in the… But you aren’t as squishy as some other classes either, so while it may take you longer to kill things, you will likely die less. I can’t speak to dungeons however.

Yeah, your are no doubt right, but since this is part of their banked/recurring event inventory it means that they will have a chance to make changes down the line for next time.

True dat. Especially the dumb dome, and the small yellow text announcing your fight. There is nothing more frustrating than missing that announcement and then being ported into the dome with the camera so far in you’d swear you were playing Guild Wars 2: Black Ops.

Piggyback/hijack question, will the gifts Mastey/Fortune still be needed for the new legendaries?

Save up your jugs,drips,drops of karma from events, chests, dailys and monthlys. Then when you have enough horded use that karma booster you’ve been saving, or splurge on one. It will increase the karma gain by 50%. If you don’t hav a booster, find one of the Karma boosting banners that your mates have been good enough to leave in a common area, its not 50%, but its still free karma.

It’s most often a chain, escort, kill pirates, then champ. Though not all the time. Anytime I came across a tower I just completed the chain of events before I moved on. I was able to complete that achievement by day 2, about 15 balloons into the 30.

Yeah, that’s not how it played out for me either. I got credit for any champ that I damaged enough to count for a kill. Report that bug. Report it with all your might!

Mesmer would be last on that list, its a slow leveling process, they do not bloom until late game. I was frustrated leveling with some thief and ele friends because of how quickly they cleared through mobs…but it’s my personal favourite class.

Guardian is my pick for 1, its easy, fun, varied, remains very useful at 80. Rangers is on par with ease, since your pet acts as a buffer/faux tank, though not as relevant endgame.

It was tedious, and when I finally got the last one I was happy for about 3 minutes, walked around with my balloon, then promptly put it in the bank and thought “WTF is wrong with me?!?!”.

Why does a (completely intended) part of the game need to be nerfed just because of what you want?

Actually, not having this kind of thing was stated to be one of the reasons behind the level downscalling system – so high level characters wouldn’t be able to go to low level zones and stomp through events so easily that those of the proper level would be unable to participate.

Looks like the system failed.

I remember day 1, we were stomping through some of those fights with brand spanking new toons, throw enough people at it and nearly every open world event in this game is trivialized.

The champ train isn’t only working because its full of high level toons, sure it’s a bit faster no doubt due to that, but it would still work with all fresh level appropriate characters.

Also, that’s not the reason down scaling was introduced. It was introduced to give high level characters a reason to go back and redo old content, so as not to invalidate 9/10ths of the game world once players reached cap.

Looks like the system worked.

They did. It’s called the Queens Jubilee. They pretty much made a loot and karma filled zerg train that is barely harder, yet more rewarding, and more efficient. Hell, you can even do the whole thing non stop without ever having to use a waypoint or argue over which comes first in the rotation. They even put it right in the capital city!!!!

But the heart wants what the heart wants, and my dear it wants – Troll, Bandit, Boar, Oak with optional spider/wasp. That is, so long as no one screwed it up and already killed oak. .

Obviously the developers have been drinking their own kool-aid. The fembots are clearly the result of throwing an Amazon, a clock, the transhuman Maria robot from Metropolis and one other random item into the mystic toilet.

Anyone have any suggestions? I’ve completed the major achievement, cast my votes, mined my quartz, and was wondering if there was anything that I really should be getting? Any merchants with crazy good deals I missed?

I’ve only been back in the game for a few days from a long (since launch) hiatus, I would hate to miss anything since I’m so out of touch with the meta….

This was a stupid lucky week for me, opened less 50 fortunes and between that and the normal scraps I was able to get both back pieces – not to mention the 2x Wind Catchers I got in Sanctum Sprint.

RNG is RNG, but sometime it doesn’t feel like it.

I am currently playing on my Windows 7 partition and wanted to know if the Mac client is better compared to it. Has anyone here tried both? I don’t want to re/DL the a new client if I’m already getting better performance.

I am newly returned to the game and plan on running a standard 20/20/0/0/30 build and plan on acquiring a hybrid of Zerker/Knight sets….I mostly use GS/SW/PS and have the Zerker weapons already.

What pieces from each set should I pick up. I plan on running dungeons and doing WvWvW…two things I haven’t really done so I want some survivability while I am learning.

Thoughts/suggestions?

Lots might have changed from when I played last, but in my experience mesmers, even at higher levels, have to work harder for their kills – especially compared to Warriors. The playstyle is involved, you will always be dodging, swapping weapons, and be required to think tactically. Some people enjoy this, other do not. Personally I love it, I found other classes to be a bit boring compared to it, but I haven’t leveled to deep into many classes.

Hi all.

I played the game quite intensely at launch and leveled a character to 80, Im interested in coming back and Im lost as to what to do.

I’m almost tempted to start another toon just so I have that logical/fuzzy feeling of not having been away and being a little lost.

So internet, what should I do? I haven’t done any dungeons, or WvW, should I start farming them? Whats a good one to do, should I craft legendary’s over the next year, or up my crafting in other trades? Start another toon so I don’t have to make annoying posts like this?
