Also, not using condition runes means loosing about 200 condition damage. Hence my dilemma.

Build is 30/20/0/10/10 – EG, GK, Elixir U
Armor and accessories are all celestial. P/S are precision/condition.

I am currently using a full set of Undead and at 945 condition. I am torn on how much I need to or should lean on condi with GK being my primary DPS source. That said, I was considering Traveler or Divinity just to go with the “Jack of All Trades” type gear.
Suggestions?

I hope this doesn’t get me modded, but in an effort to pay it forward, I am sitting at the location for the SAB elite skill in zone 2-3, door is open, closest checkpoint is unlocked.

You’ll need some decent jumping skill. Turning your gamma down and zooming in to about halfway will aid with seeing the clouds. Here is a video guide that will give you an idea:

I am in the same boat as everyone else.
Did your guild have a MF buff up? I know that threw mine for a loop when it expired. Better to trust the MF rating on the achievement pane and not the stats pane to know the amount you are getting from luck.

I suddenly feel so inadequate, and I feel like I dig often enough in suspicious places. Hrm…
Arenanet despises Engineers.
Maybe if people stopped defending our current state and started asking for buffs and bug fixes, we would start getting them.
What is extra interesting/frustrating is that in a recent interview Colin said that his main is an Engineer. If that is the case, how can he not be aware of or acknowledge the glaring issues with the class? Most of us aren’t looking for buffs, TBQH, we just want the class brought into line with the other classes with regard to bug fixes & balance.
The gimmicks that define the class are cool and what attracted me to it out the gate a year ago, but at times, it feels like due diligence was not executed to ensure these gimmicks were up to par with their counterparts.

It might be naive, but I have always held to the old saying of:
“Never attribute to malice/conspiracy that which can easily be attributed to stupidity.”
Balance is always a tricky line to walk in any MMO. I would sooner attribute this to an oversight in a major revamp of the gear creation and usage system before I suspect that ANet is actively working against classes. How long has the two-handed sigil disparity existed? This certainly affects Warriors, and yet even with the fuss is still uncorrected due to technical reasons.
That said, communication and transparency about these concerns/issues is key to ensuring conspiracies don’t get any air.

If you want this fixed you need to find a way that it negatively effects warriors. If you can’t do that then chances are it won’t ever be fixed.
I don’t believe this. What the dev said at PAX about the Charr issue was certainly a misstep, but to apply that mindset to every possible issue the games faces is likely an unfair assessment. Cosmetics != Class defining balance issues.
Though, at this point, Engi’s now face both issues with regard to legendary and ascended weapons.

This really does need to be addressed.
Sorry to bump all these threads, but I want there to be viability.
The backpack skin was account bound (unlike the other skins), that is why I was curious.
Kinda sad, but does this include the backpack skin too?
Honestly, I gotta say, this is pretty disappointing. I jumped into celestial who cloth with the armor and accessories during BotFW and just a small increase on the stats for the loss of MF would have been an easy and avoided some rage.

Engi’s (and others) really need a response to this.
Yeah, the DC issue is big in overflows. I just made sure I was ready right when the event popped to get to the right zone ASAP. I, personally, have had no DC issues if I make it to the normal zone in time.
Just wanted to add, the DCs during the event are really frustrating. Dungeons, WvW, Farming, etc… all fine. The minute a zone needs to overflow for this event I DC like crazy ankitten ot getting credit. In fact, most are partying up ASAP in the zone so they can at least make it back in should they DC and not miss the event entirely.
So… yes… no frothing at mouth rage, but some type of fix or something would be nice.
It’s not just you. It seems that all items that were transmuted are showing the incorrect skin in the preview window. If you equip the item it should look fine.
At least, that has been my experience so far.
Just noticed that if I preview an item that has been re-skinned it now shows the original item instead of the actual appearance.
Strugar is just… infuriating. Trying your suggestion Kamahl, but in zerkers I just die too fast. Strugar is humping me while try to burn Chomper and it just doesn’t feel like I am doing a whole lot of damage to the later. Still trying.
I’ve tried a few things, a few builds, but either can’t burn the dog down or can’t get the meat well enough.
Suggestions? Thoughts?

A couple of overflows I have gone into map chat is filled with people asking certain players to knock it off. Hopefully they are being reported, but I wanted to let folks know.
FYI, weapons from the Flame Legion area can and have been trained into the center commons area where people are speaking with vendors as well as up the ramps in front of the gauntlet arenas. Since they are invincible, they just sit there attacking everyone.
I’d recommend some sort of “fencing” to prevent people from continuing to use them to harass or grief players or have them follow normal release mechanics.

I actually kinda liked the portal gun one. The other one isn’t flashy, but it does closely resemble the TF2 Pyro gun… so it’s got that going for it.
The harpoon gun is also pretty snazzy… but… how often do you see that? XD
Condition Carrion/Rampage/Rabid engineer with 100% condition duration. Keep poison him using Pistol 2 and EG3. Also, took FT for incendiary ammo. Otherwise, EG1 spam with Elixir U wall to protect against lots of blobs and every now and then increase the fire rate. Speedy kits to stay mobile.

Oh god… Canthan expansion… new elite skill… Summon Siege Turtle… I just got tingles of excitement for something that will never happen. XD
This might be something that is only whispered about in secret Engi circles, and likely old news to the pros, but last night on accident I discovered that if I use Acid Bomb and then immediately hit my drop kit key (fat fingered reaching for my PTT key) it cancels the fly back.
Just wanted to share it for everyone’s possible benefit… or let me know and I’ll delete it right away.
I choose Asura purely due to the established lore in GW1 and Vekk. I loved that little guy.
P.S. – Why settle as a bookah when you could be something great.
Do you need Shrapnel and Sharpshooter? Do they stack? Cause… if so… I guess that is that is a lot of bleed in a really short amount of time. I might still stick with incendiary powder cause I less than three fire. XD

I am really leery of bloodlust or corruption, especially in my limited PvP play, just cause it feels so easy to loose the stacks. If you feel comfortable with them though, go for it!
EDIT: One other thing, you might consider squeezing in Elixir C somewhere if you can. All those conditions you are going to lay down run the risk of ending up back on you if you square off against a Necro. Condition removal is probably the thing that stands out as a weakness in this build. Right now you are leaning on the light field from EG and hoping for the best.
