This has prolly been discussed for awhile, but I am back to the game now after being gone for almost 2 years. During this lapse I played quite a bit of other MMOs. Coming back to GW2 I can say it’s tied with WoW as my favorite MMO if not my outright favorite.

Like many of you I don’t want GW2 to be like WoW; except for one thing that I believe WoW does exceptionally well, and that is raids.

Although PUG-oriented Raids are a 50/50 shot at being decent, a friendly guild-oriented one would be amazing (as they are in WoW). With the exceptional art team at arena.net, they could design an amazing raid. Just releasing a short 10 man raid proof-of-concept would prove that the community would embrace and enjoy a new gaming option. The fact that Fractals are successful proved that raids could be as well; they would just need to scale up a Fractal-like experience to 10 players.

Raids are something Guild Wars will never do ever . it is just not there style

it is nice to see but honest will never happen with this company. and i doubt even after the game comes out you will not even be able to up grade the game via the in game gem store system . as this is not how they work

well got to wait till July 29, 2015 to get the windows10 but in the mean time it will be good to hear a answer from Tech support on this topic as to if it will or if we have to use the comp mode system to make both games work

i too would like to know this answer as well. as i would like to get the free upgrade myself. but i want to make sure windows10 works with both Guild Wars2 and Guild Wars before i do this. hope some one from Tech support can give us all the answer sooner then later . otherwise i will stay with windows8 in the mean time

going to go ahead and give it a long shot and even tho it does not mean it will work with windows10 there should be some sort of program to make it work in windows8 mode .and still get windows10 upgrade . worst can happen is having to do a clean os install and so forth . will report on if guild wars and guild wars2 works with 10 and so forth once it all done and installed . so i hope it works and will post my findings once this is all done wish me luck

Guys — so sorry for the long period of non-communication. No, I wasn’t abducted by aliens.

I have been traveling in Europe and return tomorrow. I miss all you guys immensely, but the Internetz on the cruise ship (it was a European river cruise) was sooooo terrible that every time I tried to post the entire thing disappeared. After throwing a dramatic hissy fit about the disappearance of another long (and of course worthwhile, well-written, and pithy!) post in the alleged-computer-lounge (where you might load one web page every 4 minutes, IF you were lucky) I decided to spare my fellow passengers further drama and determined that I should simply fire the forums back up (figurately, NOT literally ) when I’m back in the USA.

yup been playing this game since I first picked up GW1 . for my self I love it and to me it beats first person shooters

i got the code 5:11:3:159:101 again tonight about the same time as last night. and when I was able to log in again same toon . I found my self at the entrance to queensdale. when my game just crashed I was trying to get to L.A. and now it will not let me log in again please fix this A.S.P.!! we want to play

My client started behaving the same way once I updated to the newest build.

same here after the latest up date my game lets me log in but when I got to a town or any thing the game crashes

not sure what the deal is but right after i posted this .i was able to get back into the game just in time for TEQ .
