i honestly will say i think if you Buying separately. it would be the most best deal all together . at lest you have got a more better start lets say with a second acount. . then versus just adding it to your first account let,s say . and if you get the $100.00 one then at lest you get more out of it then you would if you add it to your first account .

yup you can and i will tell you how to do it.. only little problem with it right now tho is the hom in GW2 is not working. they got that disabled till they can get it fixed . but you can still do it . and how you do it is you link your GW1 account with your GW2 account . and once you do that and Anet fixes GW2 hom and turns it back on you get your rewards . and right now just waiting for them to fix the GW2 hom some time just not sure when it will be tho

The HoM skins will never be for free.
They have a value cause it requires you to play that game. the first few skins are relative easy, but soon it packs up a pace and requires you to play it a lot. You make it sound as if you just need to install GW1 to get them.
They where never a reward for owning GW1, but a reward for playing GW1. As that has nothing to do with the price of the game, I think GW1 going for free would be a positive thing.

skins are far too over rated and it does if you want to get the hom skin,s and it has a lot to do with the price of the game . back when it and all the pack,s came out they was $60.00 to a $100.00 a pack depending on what version you wanted to get. and now it,s only $20.00 for the whole thing all together . i think i just made my points very clear. and it would be nice to see it go free to play. but honestly do not think that will ever happen at all . giving how that was made by NC soft and Anet . and now with GW2 Anet is the only ones that made this game GW2 and NC soft did not have a thing to do with GW2 at all .

Honestly for that $20 you can get well over 300 hours of game play (just doing GWAMM/HoM) so it’s well worth the investment.

They’ve indicated before that they can’t just “flip a switch” and turn old events on- they’d have to take time from HoT to make things work again. I’m incredibly bummed that it’s unlikely we’ll get a Halloween event given HoT’s release date, but them’s the shakes.

Free accounts only get 2 character slots, so you’d have to have 4 of them (they can’t play revenant at all) and you can’t share gold and items between them and won’t get login rewards.

Not worth it for me. I’d rather pay to have all my characters on 1 account. Although I do also think character slots are too expensive, I’ve only ever bought them when they were on sale.

When you pre-purchase Heart of Thorns, you are given a single code; you can either apply that to an existing account and it will be upgraded to the expansion, or use it to create a new account which will have access to the core game and the expansion.

There is no possibility to give the “core game” to someone else as you will only get the single code.

not only that but from the sounds of it . when it does come out there will be no more disk,s to buy at all . as you only get a download to get the game . no matter who you buying it from

This is a mini rant, I’ve been playing this game for about 2 years, and I feel as though drops for ANYTHING good is honestly ridiculous, the RNG is too much.

Yet these recipes for things are 250 globs of ecto, 250 of any tier 6 material. I dont understand it, does anyone truly like the way drops work in this game? I highly doubt it.

Dungeons: 1g-3g per path. (Woah one gold awesome :|)
World Bosses: 1g (Plus additional blues and greens, because we all know the RNG will not allow you to get anything better.)
Silverwastes: Champion Bag after Champion bag, that gives you guessed it, MORE blues/greens thats sell for 5s, 20c.

I’m sort of getting a little irritated with these drop rates for ANYTHING good.

Why should I have to grind silverwastes for 20hours just to get 5g, that’s ridiculous.

Barring that, look into the “Iron Run”. A series of gathering nodes you can run through for massive quantities of ore and the such.

Here is how it works.
Anet sends information to all gaming news websites they want few days before the announcement. Writers read that information and prepare the article together with tweet that is meant to hype people and lead them to the article. All that is prepared and is ready to be posted automatically when embargo is lifted. Suddenly IGN messed up and released article AND new gw2 trailer where anet said that gw2 is going f2p. They instantly delete all this and turn on silent mode. But since it is 2015 and internet is fast they fail to delete it in time.
Anet is silent because “No” is a lie and “Yes” breaks the embargo.

I would be fine with a subset of RNG items. Say, maybe 20 items you have a chance to get, but only one drops at a time and they are all significant (like ascended weapons or something). Having a chance at literally anything in game is troubling most times.

but Raids are coming. I told you all that the new Elite Specializations were built and balanced around the new Raid group content and not the Vanilla content.

all their insider testers were using a different build of the beta Elite Specializations and using it in the new Raid content, which is why some of the feedback they were gettinf was radically different from what public beta feedback was.

The public beta elite specialization were pre-nerfed so they dont appear OP for the vanilla content which they wasnt built for.

Raids are all about coordination.

Dragon Hunters for example are meant to be good for AoE defending against pack mobs and blocking damage for group and providing nice burst heals for the front line. Those things are useless roles in vanilla pve content.

tempest is built around group healing. A Raid leader will set up a few Tempest around the tank group to provide large burst heals from heal shout, while using elite shout to reset heal shout cooldown. Coordinated this could be some major constant healing unlike anything we have seen before in vanilla pve.

Revenant is built around this new pve content as well. Major heal spams, as well as a coordinated face tank of projectiles for the raid group. Also Raid leaders can set up Revs to provide massive damage reduction to the tank group.

all the Elite Specialization are built around this new Raid content, and are nerfed for the current public beta intentionally.

do you have a link proving this that raids are in fact going to happen ? if so then please provide the link proof that raids will be coming to this game. other wise your just posting something that you only wish would happen .

i find the best gold farming is from just going all over the place and using the watchwork pick. as well too . as well as using magic find boosts when doing it too

i been giving this serous thought .and if Anet does bring raids to the game . then what will we get for doing them as rewards ? will it be on same maps as regular map,s or will these raid,s be done on maps like pvp or something ? and keeping it out of the every day maps . but then iam also reminded of silver waste and drop top and to me them feel more kinda like a raid type deal . with them 2 maps just alone so even tho there is questions on the mind with this . we can only wait for the weekend and see what they tell us , also giving how the game has not gone like some of thought it would. but yet we still play no matter what . maybe there is something good that will come from this. and maybe we will not get raids at all . but maybe we will get a few new bosses to kill with some good rewards one can only hope and see what the weekend bring,s

The language here seems extremely permissive and basically (if I’m reading it correctly, I’m not a lawyer) allows you guys to monitor our entire computer. Since the game runs as Administrator/root it can make system calls that can tell you anything you want to know about our computer/files/programs running/sensitive stuff stored in RAM. Is that really necessary? To me it seems overly broad and invasive. Do you guys have a policy about storing that information? Retention timelines, etc? Alright so I have a bit of a problem.

I work for a company during 2nd shift. I leave at 2:00PM Eastern and arrive back home at 1AM the following day.

I go to bed at 4AM and wake up around 11AM-12PM.

the most very easy way to make gold in this game . is this play said game do all part,s in said game and pick up all items in said game including junk .. and make sure do crafting too as well . and do not worry about making gold at all . its just gaming money and you can not spend it at a store or something. but for me that is how i have made my gold. honestly i made more gold from just picking up trash tho then from other stuff .

We definitely need proper anniversaries like in GW1 and/or more reoccurring holidays. I came back to GW1 for it’s 10th anniversary after not having played GW for more than a year. It was great! Last but not least it was one reason (HoT and the BWE the other) that I also returned to GW2.

Only adding some (old) stuff to the gem stop is pathetic.

It seems pretty obvious they’re pulling an ‘all hands on deck’ sprint to get HoT done before the holiday shopping season passes them by. Don’t expect to see a lot of anything other than them grinding through the work in front of them relating to HoT. Even the usually clockwork-like Black Lion RMT team has been skipping weekly releases — almost certainly so they can pitch in on the big push.

I’m sorry, but this argument doesn’t address the OP’s post at all, unless ANet was working on the expansion at year one and year two anniversaries.

For some reason, ANet doesn’t value the anniversary of the game as a celebration instead of a sellabration and this cash shop focus on sellabrating isn’t helping the game.

-> GW1 is still alive, GW2 will be alive for at least another 5 years and more.

gw2 has been slowly dying since 2013, its not a secret, yeah the expansion has hype and stuff but after 2 days people will have seen everything it has to offer and leave again.
some will stay just to troll and kitten, but once wildstar goes free to play a lot will jump over, leaving just a sour, salty little group of players that’ll ruin it for everyone else :p

there is no apps of any kind at all for this game. and Anet will never make any thing like that. you can get the api keys i think and make your own if you like. but far as the game goes not going to happen

it does ruin it to be honest, especially for new players or people who want to enjoy the game, speed running through everything in a mmo feels like a daily chore its not fun ;/

very well said and so very true as some one who has been around a bit longer . yes it takes all the fun out of the game . and there are thos here who are too blind to see it is real or even too who will never tell you they agree with you . and honestly that is just what it feels like with any thing like that no fun and they try to make it a choir to do

it would be nice to see a significant event pre-HoT. but the way Anet is with events i would not count on it at all .

yes that is how they do it sadly to say they can not see past the end of there noses to try a different way ever . just run to the corner kill boss and leave with rewards . yeah you ant the only one that holds this thought . as it does turn the game off to a lot of people but they will never tell you that.

that is it right there and the whole point all together in and of it,s self . and not only that but you get more then free samples . you get free items too . it would be so nice to have events like this in GW2 as GW1 does . oh not only that but the ranks that goes with them you can help to get your HOM points too . that is if they ever fix HOM in GW2
