as it is now… it seems only ws traits are any good lol…
I completely agree that marksman trait line needs a rework…. i was thinking along the lines of every x hits opening strikes will proc… sorta like the guardian’s passive fire thingy… i think this would make it worth investing in the trait…
i hope they buff dual axes or longbow… i wanna use both but it just sucks so much…
i run beserker axe/axe with the trait 10% more crit dmg when axe is equipped on mh… the axe offhand 4 hits like a truck and when traited can be used fairly often… pretty strong in conjunction with the axe mh #3 with chill n weakness
hey does anyone know why frozen duration doesnt increase the chill time of axe mh #3?
its a tricky issue to address … the easiest way out is probably to remove the pet and have it optional, and revise the damage coefficients… otherwise they would have to somehow scale the pets with our gear (like the AR update) but somehow make it so that it will not be over powered… (or they could also have pet gear, which would be interesting lol)
With the introduction of all these new ascended gear, all professions now gain more stats. Of particular note is the power stat…
As some of you may know, power scales with a damage coefficent for each skill ie.) if u have 3000 power u will do 3000*1.12 for skill X. Since the design of ranger takes into account our pets as a portion of our damage source, our coefficent is lowered considerably as a form of balance. unfortunatly for us, this pet damage doesn’t scale with gear, the result is that the higher the gear grind goes, the more disadvantaged the ranger will be relative to the other classes. This probably didnt appear to be a problem from a pvp perspective as rangers and all other class has a static stat base and devs work around to balance the game… however in wvw this becomes a big problem…
What is ANet gonna do to address this problem? I can only see this become more of a problem as they release more ascended and legendary gear with more stats…

Black Widow Spider pet: Now has the correct amount of vitality.
White Raven pet: Now has the correct amount of vitality.
Drake pet Chomp attack: This skill no longer heals enemy targets.
Maul skill:
Increased bleeding duration from 4 seconds to 6 seconds.
Increased base damage by 26%.
Counterattack skill: Reduced recharge from 20 seconds to 15 seconds.
Hilt Bash skill: Reduced recharge from 30 seconds to 25 seconds.
Ranger pet cooldowns are now properly preserved when stabled.
Feline pets: Maul now applies consistent critical hits.
Quickening Zephyr skill: Now breaks stun. Increased duration from 4 seconds to 5 seconds.
Pet-revive skills no longer fail to heal their target.
did anyone notice that condition duration stuff is broken after patch? (ie lyssa, givers, nightmare runes etc…)
