Interesting matchup against two French servers. Best of luck to everyone and have fun.

A commander is bound to fail if he/she didn’t already lead before he bought that icon. In my server i remember one guy I’ve never seen in wvw asking in team chat if there is any commander, when answered by “do you see any icon?” he bought one on the spot. Needless to say ppl kept telling him what to do and where to go, but that shows that the icon isn’t that important, its the experience that really matters.

Therefore it has to be something that combines wvw achievements as well as the 100g, or whatever amount Anet decides on. I really wish the badge gets harder to get because it has lost its value. In fact, the only reason I bought mine is because I saw some clueless individuals leading ppl to their doom.

lol i got three infractions, one for freyn’s song reply from me, which was literally “hahahaha”, and another for also talking about today’s Bay defense by Freyn. Moderators think we’re bashing each other when we’re actually having a laugh…

I play as a warrior and I put a ram Blueprint into a tower (Sunny Hill to be specific). I then accidentally hit #2 on my sword and I simply found myself inside the tower. I jumped outside the tower right after, but minutes later two different ppl also found themselves inside the tower, one of which was a ranger. I think its a glitch with the tower gates and I request immediate fix because its really abusable in WvWvW

Guys guys, we’re all friends and this is a game. Let’s keep it clean. I have no doubt that in this matchup we outnumber the other two factions, but let’s not allow that to keep us from having fun. Complaining about it here wont change anything, instead I say log in and give it your best.

I’m not saying fighting while being outnumbered is always fun, but we’ve been there and we’ve had our share of fun fighting against bigger servers.

P.S: Unfortunately I wont be able to fight the imps in this matchup, internet is too crappy at my parents’ house to even log in to wvw, now THAT is something to complain about!

UW has amazing emergency response. Both their keep in EB and Hills were saved last second (Hills was on Lord).

These guys are real fighters and no matter how outnumbered they get, they never give up. FoW is a server worthy of respect. I believe your current problem is lack of commanders, as well as the obvious lack of numbers.

Thank you for your input TryGoogle, but let me just clarify that you’re overestimating our current size. We do not outnumber GH for example and in fact believe we will be outnumbered by them. If not then we’re on the same level of population at best. This will become more clear in tier8-7, and only time can prove what I’m saying.

You could always count us in! We have many ppl who are always eager to duel and we’ve had a lot of fun dueling NP before, as well as few guilds from Dzg.

Our guild quite enjoyed the week vs Dzg/GH, we had plenty of fun and had plenty to do. The weeks vs FoW/Vabbi where we owned 90% of the map were the boring ones simply for lack of any fights.

We didn’t leave because of lack of future, we left because we were fed up of people not even trying.

The rest, I shall reserve for PM rather than creating further drama here.

On topic, I forgot to mention, we still don’t have ques except that one time on reset when FoW took SM. So don’t think you will be waiting for hours if you wanted to hop on wvw with your guildies.

@LameTerror: Ray didn’t insult anyone. He stated that there are two types of ppl, that’s all. People are entitled to go wherever they want for the sake of having more fun, because its a game and that’s what it should be about.

That being said, I have never been around so many people EAGER to go in wvw as I am right now. Everyone is dying to tier up and have good fights and as boring as it is right, we still go to wvw just because we feel that’s where we belong. If there’s nothing to do, you will find the most hilarious jokes and stories in our Team chat.

Also, I want to mention that the Bloody Retribution Alliance is formed from great and very understanding players. They are always open to suggestions and criticism, and are very polite. In fact [RN], which is part of the allience, is a Surmian guild in the first place.

I’m surprised you just found out. Either way this is the only form of communication with enemies and I wouldn’t want it to be removed.

One of the better guilds out there that I had the pleasure of playing against, dueling, and befriending some of its members. I for one would definitely welcome you to RoS but I do not represent everyone on my server. We are still trying to build ourselves and we are stronger than we’ve ever been, but still not there and I’m not sure you’re willing to fight your old server. If you do however consider RoS as a possible candidate, PM me (or anyone you know in RoS) and I will arrange a meeting with the guild leaders and commanders for you to discuss.

AFAIK that’s a connection issue, I suffer from it when I’m lagging.

I hope the GH community doesn’t get affected by this as in my opinion RoF and GH have a very good community. Also I hope there wont be any cheating that might ruin the good reputation Gunners currently have.

somewhere in the middle of the matchup Vabbi’s performance dropped drastically. And now that transfer fee has been announced, I don’t see Xaoc at all. Next week will be one sided probably, but its better this way for FoW for this has been an unfair match up for them and its in their interest that we move to a different tier.

Shout out to FoW players who deserve everyone’s respect for their amazing fighting spirit and strong will. I know the blacktide transfer killed your server and caused the disband of some of your stronger guilds, but stay strong.

@comacat: just to clarify, RoS is actually mostly WvW oriented to begin with. FoW has a higher overall population, but lower wvw population. Originally, RoS had 3 active wvw guilds: [DEX] [IMP] and [GoA]. There were other active guilds in WvW, but they have too few in numbers. That being said, RoS’s biggest guild was [INS] which was mostly pve focused, and [IMP] moved to Gunner’s Hold.

On topic, I welcome you to RoS. Despite what others say, no one can stop you from choosing whichever server you want anyways, so might as well be friends than enemies. Cheers.

Yes I never saw them cheat, but they went and helped that shameless guild take a tower and his guild portal them into bay. And what does he do after that? He comes to the official forum and writes this after we were reporting the hackers:

I really admire that thought, but let’s face it, people who glitch their way to win care less about what we think. After seeing a whole guild use flying mesmers portals behind walls and gate, I simply gave up. I am putting this game on hold, or at least the WvW part, till the major issues are fixed (hopefully).

There seems to be some sort of misunderstanding about the “alliance”. First, its not an alliance between servers, but instead a truce between guilds on opposing servers. want proof? look at EB.

A couple of guilds agreed to hold fire against each other, and against each other only. That’s all there is to it. If you want to blame this “alliance” for GH dropping to second, go ahead. But I can assure you RoF has more than GH and would have won it anyways.

As for us (RoS), we do what we can to protect the border land, that includes attacking GH, the server with the lesser players between the two opponents. Its just logic, would I attack those with 50 zerg or those with 40 zerg? considering we have less than 30, I would go against the server with the lesser numbers, unless ofc I have unresolved issues against one of the servers in particular, like how some of RoF hate GH for their previous matchups.

I think what ppl complain about is not the spot itself, it’s more the fact that the person is in the wall of the cliff.
But as already mentioned, u can see the name from far away. So it isnt a problem to kill that guy, since the spot is very easy to reach, w/o any odd moves.

You lost me here. You see you can’t see the names from far, or close for the matters. You have to go to the spot yourself, or do the in/out of water thing. At least I don’t know any other way to spot it.

I’m on RoS and would like to say that regardless of the result, this has been a very fun matchup this far, ofc aside from the cheating.

Its a shame that Dzg has cheaters when they clearly have a good chuck of good players. Kudos to those on Dzg who condemn these acts. Also, I’d like to add that there has been one person who was caught cheating on our side and a manhunt was issued on him and his guild was informed.

If we see cheaters from our side or not, we will report it and tell them to stop, not go into the cheaters’ portals, like some others did.

We lost Cliffside to guild called [PRO] from Dzagonur with walls and gate at 100%. They popped at lord room.. Same way we lost Hills. I sent a scout to check on Hills and he reported that all walls/gates are fine so I suspected bugged guards. Seconds later hills fell.

I’m not going to complain about numbers and being outmanned, that’s fair play. But cheating is entirely different. Arenanet, its time you admit that there is cheating and at least for the love of god give us the option to report for cheating.
