Yup. Same! That’s partly why I’ve been banned 5 times. That and I’m past the being civil part. I’ve lost all patience and now am as blunt as I can be. Thief has been on a steady downhill path ever since launch. Never once has it leveled, or went uphill.

If we thieves really want a response, why not flood the other professions sub forums that ACTUALLY get noticed.

When it comes to mobility we are excellent at +1, but the problem is if we go to a point on our own for a 1v1 we are at a serious disadvantage with our reliance on stealth to survive = losing the point even while fighting on it.
Big disadvantage, mesmers dont even suffer from it much because their clones can keep the damage up on their target while stealthed

Easiest answer. If you do, you will become fond of it, grow to love it- Then, you log on one day, something isnt quite right, can it be? Your damage has decreased? Stealth is bugged? Survivability nerfed? It could be any number of these nightmares.

Thanks for that in depth breakdown, what id like to know is how much difference there needs to be in buy/sell price to negate the 15% fees if that makes sense?
i have no idea how people make money buying low and selling high then, everything i can find on the tp any profit made would be lost to listing fees

Buy 100 orichalcum ore for 3s 50 each,
refined into 50 ingots,
so logically selling 50 ingot for 7s 80 each should net me 80b profit per 1 sold
minus 15% on listing fees.

Well now that there have been changes to the commander tag i think its worthwhile keeping this thread going.
The new color system for tags is neat i guess, but still not the great overhaul that is needed to make it more functional.
It cant be that hard to implement a guild commander tag for raiding. just that in itself would have been a great addition

I would like some clarification from Anet as to why neither of these skills act similar to a mesmers teleport?
Its frustrating that the class which should be the master of infiltration and stealth is second best to another class, I don’t see how it would be unfair or game breaking to allow us to have a long cooldown teleport back onto keep walls in WvW or back up ledges in PvE.
Mesmers can literally bring their entire guild back into a keep if they are good enough, but a solitary thief is a nono?

If you give commanders special abilities people will take it and keep their tag on just to min/max their characters. You would see a dozen or more commanders all running together for the group buffs and whatnot.
The system could definitely be improved but that’s not the way to do it, in my opinion.
My thinking behind commander abilities is that they would replace utility slot skills and be purely for support. Possibly skills such as teleport similar to the mesmer skill or AoE bubble shield for the zerg. Either with huge cooldowns in comparison to other classes with similar skills or much reduced active times.
Commanders should be able to offer much more outside of their classes abilities, it should be an upgrade to their support capabilities.
I have found a way to bypass SM’s outer wall on certain classes, i have a video but i dont think i should post it anywhere, where could i send it to have it fixed?
It should be given higher priority as its a huge part of end game for people without the amount of time needed to invest in the living story.
I feel like the commander tag is far from its full potential, just thought id post a few suggestions for improvement.
1. Commander Utility skills/Elite skill – This would make playing as a commander a much more defined role, If commanders gain access to an support skills for a larger group of people than a typical boon/heal skill. Possibly being able to place an AoE ring that buffs squad members inside it. It would make it easier to highlight exactly where to defend and rewards players for being in squads and following orders.
2. Map markers for squad members. Being able to place multiple waypoints on the map for squads to follow again makes for much more strategic gameplay.
3. A secondary role costing gold or Commanders can grant the icon to a single player for a set time(General? Corporal? Captain?) Seeing as WvW is essentially a war having more visible ranks allows servers to strategies and divide the army into different roles. Say commanders lead the major forces while their assistant take on tasks assigned to them. This also means that instead of two people running a commander tag to divide their forces they can split up into rank of command.

Instead of all this temporary content please work on bringing GvG asap, The guild missions was a great addition but there is no real competition between guilds, aside from who has the most influence. A few guilds might organise a sPvP tournament or bump into one another in WvW, but there is no real reward for coming out on top in those situations (For the guild, not individuals).
If GvG and Guild halls are unlikely to be implimented anytime this year then please try to introduce rewards for guilds skirmishing in WvW or sPvP such as gaining x amount of influence by killing enough members from a single opposing guild, maybe Guild leaders/ect would have an option to target a guild to fight against and the reward would depend on the size of the guild and how many members are active, making attacking a smaller guild and its keeps much less rewarding than taking on a behemoth one.

So guys, i was just having a daydream about the good old days of GW1 and got wondering, What lies ahead for guild wars? what would you like to see?
Personally id love if the introduced something similar to Factions, i loved that expansion way more than NF and EotN. Maybe there could be a divide between races? Similar to WoW`s Horde vs Alliance. War breaking out, Humans and Asura allied against the Norn and Charr effectively splitting the map with the Sylvari objecting and being forced to choose sides. This would have to be an expansion, Ive never really been happy with the Charr as “Good Guy” playable race, although it is kinda unfair to divide races into factions at this point, it would make a good story.
But yeah ive rambled enough :P

I don’t know if this bothers anyone else, but when using skill 1 one on an elementalist asura with daggers in Fire attunement, when you run while attacking the upper body still turns 360 degrees while the legs are moving forward. It looks ridiculous, like breaking their spine

I’m not sure what you want. If you don’t enjoy dungeons at all, why do you even need the gear? I enjoy the dungeons. There’s a lot of them, do them for fun if you don’t want to “grind”.
They could have no gear, what would you do then?
I don’t always want to play WvW, sometimes there isn’t even a point because there aren’t enough people from my server and we just become cannon fodder.
Why do i even need it? i didn’t say i needed it, i want it, it looks cool, it appeals to me, what doesn’t is the never ending monotonous grind of doing it over and over again. the only way to get anything once you reach 80 is either grind for gold, karma or dungeon tokens. —→GRIND<-— In case you aren’t aware that was one of the big selling points of the game, they were going to make the game in such a way that you could enjoy doing what you liked to earn what you wanted. They openly stated grinding was not fun, What do they do, make all end game content an endless grind while they mess around with difficulty levels and give minimal rewards
After reaching level 80 all there is left to do is grind for gear/money/karma either in sPvP, Dungeons or WvWvW.
Now trying to run dungeons to gain tokens for gear is too much of a hassle unless you have friends willing to do it with you without dropping out. Once 2 or 3 party members die its too difficult to recover since new players will get fed up and leave.
The update was supposed to make dungeons more fun and challenging, challenging and a grind are two different things. And FUN??? Really what is fun about having to run the same kittening dungeon over and over again to get gear. Yes there are multiple paths, but some take longer than others. The rewards just aren’t worth the effort and newbies don’t stand a chance.
Its all fine and well that there needs to be a strategy to defeat a boss or clear a dungeon, but it should be MUCH more rewarding to match the challenge it presents. Why should we waste our time with a new player holding us back or pulling in mobs getting us wiped for minimal amounts of money/loot/tokens. Doing it over and over again.
Its boring.
