Anet failed at warrior balance. plain and simple.
- They boosted war in order to get more folks to play , didnt work ( tho war was in a good spot tbh, just not many tried it )
- A month later they boosted wars AGAIN , making it a GOD character that is way to OP , so folks would have no choice then to switch to a war and make the war a more popular character.
if warriors are god now then why i died in tpvp vs 3 power necro and 2 thief? and did i mention my stability turn in to condition and my so called zerker stance after 8 seconds they keep putting conditions on me and minion are knocking me down
we almost lost that time but thank’s to my teammates they killed the lord of other team maybe just maybe you are one of those guy’s i encounter in tpvp that face tank my backbreaker and earthshaker + skull crack + staggering blow the only skill that stun for too long is skull crack that isn’t telegraph but so obvious when we need to land it we need to go closer then you can dodge or blind us or maybe chill or fear but one thing i notice is many players now are changing build learning how to counter the warrior instead of whining here in forum if you just think outside the box you will know there is a counter build.
just ignore them most of them are newbies i encounter a banner warrior that think his tough because he killed me but the truth is his thief teammate that killed me he couldn’t even down my hp to 85% and his hp is almost 10% if his thief teammate didn’t join the fight his dead in 1 burst but instead the thief burst me since all my utilities and other weapon skills are on cd i died and he told me on map chat “Get the #$%
out here noob warrior” the profanity lasted 1 minute and he left the pvp server i was in because base on him his talent in pvp is wasted playing with noobs but his on spvp so you better enjoy the game and ignore those trolls whenever i encounter 1 of them i just ignore them.
Whatever we said he’ll never listen, it’s simple if you see a warrior change to mace shield make sure he wont get near you because once you let him you will know and 1000% expected that he will stun you he will not use 100b if you are not stun unless he is bad or just use it by mistake, and stun warriors use this build because it’s very effective againts condition meta most of the class that focus their build in condition doesnt care to bring a stun breaker or stability, i always lose to mesmer with mace/shield build but that doesnt mean anet needs to nerf them, what i did is think how to counter their current build which i succeed so if you are really annoyed with the current stun warrior why not play around with the build that can counter it? Not come here and post exaggerated numbers that will make you look like a troll. I will tell you i have a build for my warrior with 25k hp 3.1k armor 3k attack 20% crit chance 25% crit damage i dont think i can hit 4k damage per attack with my stat and this build is made to counter 2 necros vs me or maybe 3 condition vs me so i still have time to run away just play around with your class and you will see warrior is far from OP in spvp other class still target me 1st than other class.
Oh yeah why not the devs give every class stability? And stun breaks while you can spam AoE condition then put a 5 sec swiftness too so we can kite the hammer mace/shield build. Play a warrior and learn how to counter its build i main a warrior but i also lose in wvw and pvp and i know if the player that i just killed is bad simple they dont dodge they just rush attack me even they see me switch to mace/shield BoOM skull crack. Free hits down then go to the forum warrior is OP. Tell you want there was a ranger that took 20 minutes but still i couldn’t kill him with insane hp regen and a mesmer that can always use his blink blink after i stun him so i just run away.
People who complain about warriors have no idea how patethic they look.

for me no need to buff the warrior just bring down the other classes with the warrior’s current level of balance why? because warrior is the only class right now that can spec as bunker and deal less damage , warrior can spec to glass cannon and hit high damage but cannot combine both unlike other classes they are spec as bunkers but they can still do more damage too and they can spec as glass cannon with high survivability
Before warriors go all crazy on me hear me out here and if you are this type of op warrior, then go ahead and defend yourself id like to hear it.
So I heard wars got buffed and i was like oh cool they needed it not asking how, my friend said was it was absolutely insanely op 1v1 but i didn’t really investigate.
I am in ebg jp where alot of dueling takes place and this one war is camping 4 level 80s (we got no mesmers or engineers so no flavor of the month proffessions to help)
He uses sword/shield and then greatsword. He stuns someone for about 7 seconds and he does this almost every 15-20 seconds. In that stun you get bursted about 13k if you are in pvt gear but not running a tank build.
This war is running pvt gear and a tanky build as no one is hitting high on him at all yet hes dealing 13k dmg burst and stunning someone for about 7 seconds every 15-20 seconds. Alot of people claim this is a troll build well, it’s a troll build that’s killing off groups of people at a time.
His greatsword is am amazing gap closer of course and amazing at running away with low cooldown gap closing abilities.
It’s like seeing a vanilla DD bunker ele but twice the single target damage and instead of extra heals he has blocks and reflect. Tell me how is this fair?
EDIT: Correction the type of weapon with this type of stunlock is mace/shield

Warrior also can’t remove conditions
Warrior has a lot of condition removal, even more than most of the other professions…
On topic, it’s all true, and to be honest, I’d like a warrior to stay like that, and see other professions brought down to warrior level. Too much AoE, too high ranged damage in general, too much boon and condi spam, too many evades and teleports, too much self sustain,where there is not real need for support oriented builds, unless you are bringing a warrior in your team comp that is, too many instant skills and powerful skills on low cd, oh, yeah, too much RNG.
Risk – reward ratio is totally off too. You can stay at range, crap on ppl by just spamming every AoE that isn’t on CD, and bring whole team down. It’s ranged AoE, it should’ve never been as powerful as single target melee skills. One of the problems is also map balance, where there are so many edges and walls where you can stand on and cast undisturbed, because no melee profession can reach you.
Healing and support without directly speccing for it should’ve never been allowed. That means that certain builds can have very high healing and damage mitigation uptime, and bring enough damage, especially in form of AoE, so they can be useful even in that field. Warriors can’t do that. You can’t spec for damage and have high sustain, and vice versa. You can spec for support if you want, but you’ll be doing nothing else, and you’ll get outshined by other professions that aren’t even specing for it, through high access of water fields and blast finishers, along with high vigor and protection uptime.
Too put it simply, warrior can be specced for only one thing at a time(which is actually a good thing,), which is not the case for most other professions.
i agree with you if every class will be brought down to the warrior level spec to be support then you cant do more damage and spec for dps then you are a killing machine but not having a good sustain if only anet will fix other classes just like the warrior we don’t need to change anything from warrior class.
yes i hope they listen because this game is becoming condition wars, the newly improve berserker stance is great and the cleansing ire but condition can be re applied in just 2s after another and i’m kind of annoyed when i’m trying to defend in pvp and there is 2 necro or 1 necro then a ranger i could survive but not until my utilities like berserker stance in CD and heck my burst miss that miss no condition remove
Why would you gain toughness when you have conditions on you? :P
edited now my friend i just remember toughness doesn’t help against condi
why don’t we remove the spiked armor since for me it’s useless and change it with Warrior’s Endurance in Defense Grandmaster trait

I agree i don’t need a knockback/knockdown again but all in all it’s a nice suggestion and please a quick cast time because every time i use my hammer it’s like my opponent is laughing at me and telling are you serious you want to hit me with that speed?
Just wait a few weeks and anet will increase endure pain to 10 seconds.
From what I’ve seen at June 25th, they buffed warrior so much, that it is clear to me that anet are warrior fanboys, possibly guardian fanboys as well. Berserker Stance is just ridiculous against Necromancers and Engineers. And when the Bazaar update showed up, Berserker Stance increased from 4s to 8s.
so what do you want buff your already OP class? we need class balance and 8s seriously? i played pvp and what i saw is group full of necromancer and thief mesmers ele you think that 8s will make warrior OP? i constantly see my warrior drowning in condition after that 8s because conditions can be re-applied for less than 8s
In the bolded letters you describe all of the neat things that other classes to help their sustain but you pretend like warriors don’t have an advantage like the others do. Warriors are the only class to have maximum base HP AND base armor. Just throwing that out there. I think its really silly how often people forget that fact considering how important it is.
I really hate every time i read a comment like this maybe you play cof p1 all day oh don’t brag about high level fractals because it’s different my friend let me tell you something my guardian has 13k hp full zerker i can pawned a warrior with 20k+ hp and higher armors why don’t you ask yourself why the heck in pvp you mostly see thief, mesmers , ele , guards , necro but not warriors well thank’s to the latest patch it give use a little fighting chance for heavy condi builds but that’s not enough oh you might ask aren’t you so greed for power? No my friend actually what i like is the balance of every class just like how i remember PVP in guild wars 1 you can tell that people are not force to play certain class because they are stronger than other but they played it because it’s the class that they most enjoyed playing with but here in GW2 i don’t need to tell you that. If you try to join pvp you will see what i mean my mesmer i don’t to be a pro to be on rampage just shatter shatter boom and i admit it’s fun mesmer doesn’t have high hp and armor and also a guardian try to build a bunker guardian and bunker warrior well if it’s legit to call a warrior a bunker because warrior there is no such thing as bunker warrior then join pvp and you will see that higher base hp and armor doesn’t count unless you are playing other MMO but not with GW2
cross your fingers arenanet created warrior for marketing they look bad @ss in gameplay videos in youtube to attact players who cares about the warrior class if you can play a guardian master of weapons target practice of every class that’s the warrior in guild wars 2
Back pack as a cape that we can put our guild logo different cape designs a lot of players is waiting for this and more armor skins please like gladiator armor skins or spartan for heavy armor toons i like balthazar armor skin why don’t you guys put it in gem store dwayna , balthazar , melandru , dhuum armor skins

i second this it’s a pain to destroy your armor just to get the skin
berserker stance should be more of a offensive utility not another condi removal we already have cleansing ire it will synergize with attack 50% faster and gain 50% more adrenaline
just my opinion for the stances make the trait decrease cd by 25% then change the function of utilities like:
endure pain = for 8 seconds take no damage from physical attack and condition damage berserker stance = for 8 seconds You attack 50% faster and gain 50% more adrenaline
Balance Stance = i like the way it is now
i don’t know why they put the condition duration effect on berserker stance just doesn’t fit with the utility name , endure pain should endure any pain physical and condition.
new dynamic events every month too and decrease the activation timer too.
If this were done, we might was well get rid of the idea of Servers altogether, and make WvW a Guild-vs-Guild game mode.
Not a bad idea, except Guilds are restricted to 500 members, and WvW is so integrated with the game now.
i don’t think so even we meet on the same instance you still represent your home server everytime you go the the WvWvW guild wars 2 we have a very huge map and we only meet few people it’s so boring it will be much fun if we have more people doing hearts and more dynamic events they should also add that every month new dynamic events
+5 for your suggestion bro i hate the feeling that i see on my mini map oh there’s an event but get disappointed because nobody want’s to do it or you are alone on that map pfff the idea of no kill stealing is good if there’s a lot of players killing the same mob but heck here in guild wars 2 you will be overwhelm by mobs because only few players on every pve map yeah i feel bad for the divinity’s reach designer
because this game still need to balance every class and give them different builds and i can say after 2 years maybe i really like the game but still even i’m a fan of guild wars 1 i’m not gonna lie to myself that this game is better than guild wars 1 i think in some part yes but i still miss the other parts of the original game i dunno why arenanet remove the good parts of gw1 i was amaze when i bought my 1st account but after making a warrior and guardian i lost interest to do pve even pvp i only play to do my dailies then i got banned i’m not posting this because of grudge just my opinion i like the game that’s why i bought a 2nd account but it doesn’t interest me after playing 1 to 2 toons i thought because they remove the instances i could play with other players but most of the time i play alone and when i meet other players and i try to ask them to group they ignore me it’s so boring i enjoy playing AC3 than playing gw2 pve alone they should implement a new system even in open world that encourage people to make a group and help each other. or maybe they should add more dynamic events on every map and decrease the timer i like the dynamic events idea and that’s the one reason i enjoy the game but only dynamic events in every map and the timer is sometimes very long and the hearts are boring if you are playing solo
