If your the best players in the game guess what you dont grow threw a tournament/season/ random mix of players. You right out the box have to play the other best players. Seriously it be like being in the NBA and only having to play the Golden state Warriors and Spurs every game while some dude on the 76ers gets to talk smack because hes in ruby first.

Not at all I had to completely change my style of playing and profession. I was losing every game. I also realised through simple mathematics that if I played for long periods I’d lose so much I couldn’t progress like Helseth. This I put to two factors the amount of concentration required and the daily reset of the MMR. I just realised long before he did that grinding your way through tiers just left me disheartened. This is why I’ve played relatively few games and am only just now at ruby.

TBH I’ve noticed less premades playing than before leagues. The new system next season should take care of that anyway.

Looking over my last 10 matches 3 were less than 25 point difference and 4 were greater than 200. 50% win and gained 5 pips. That suggests some sort of functioning matchmaking system. It took 180 games to get to ruby (not including the first 20 games where I really sucked) and a quite a few of those were trying different professions and builds. So about 2.7 games per pip. That’s reasonable yeh? (bug report: censor reads “isn’t [space] it?” as “isn [part of the female anatomy]”)

I know but im talking bout the League Elite cross 4 divisions. Im at saphire now and crossed 2 divisions but only have half of that achievement so I thought it was cross 2 divisions twice. Cross 3 divisions 3 times. Cross 4 divsions four times.

Ah theres the problem. You only need to cross 4 divisions once in four seasons. So I take it back. You don’t need to get to diamond. Rebound you only get to ruby once. Sorry my bad.

You have to cross 4 divisions four times. The first season the achievement is locked. So you have to cross 4 division four times in 2 or 3 seasons. Impossible to do without getting to diamond.

Anet you should learn to communicate this stuff so people can understand it.

What is your deal? There are 4 seasons, crossing division threshold achievement carry over from 1 season to the next throughout the year. Therefore it can be done without getting to diamond.

You’re ignoring the fact the achievements need to be unlocked first before they can be worked on and progress made before unlocking them doesn’t count. So what you are suggesting is impossible.

That’s why i want someone from anet to clarify this. Having cross-season achievements equals a big NOTHING.

There’s 4 seasons in a year. He said it would end around the same time as it started a year later so around 1st of December it will be over. It seems fairly certain.

Im sorry. You will need to get to diamond. But on the bright side an ascended back piece would be almost identical to a legendary (except the skin) with selectable stats and a different coloured font for about 100 gold and almost no requirements and you can get it now.

Do people need to get to diamond at least once (in any of the seasons) in order to get the backpack, YES or NO?!

Let me put it another way. If someone gets ruby in ALL seasons, does that mean he will have the backpack? (with the condition he does all other achievs and so on, not important). That’s what ppl want to know…not stuff that confuses even more.

If the answer is YES honestly you blew it with this whole backpack thing…because pvpers have absolutely no limit imposed to them in any part of the game. On the contrary they don’t need to geargrind for ascended, for fractal relics, for fractal infusions, for fractal levels and whatnot hours apon hours in order to get into fractals. In pvp u get the gear for free and can change for free. Content is much easier in perspective for them because they have no limitations.

You don’t need to complete 4 divisions just cross from amber to ruby. I inferred that passing to diamond would complete 2 tiers in the achievement. So if you get ruby in 2 seasons and diamond in another that will fulfill the League Elite requirement. If ascension IV is unlocked first season it probably won’t count you having crossed 4 divisions as it happened before you unlocked it. Which is why at saphire the League veteran achievement isnt completed.

So if you are like me and you haven’t unlocked ascension III yet next season I’d have to cross 3 divisions then in the last two seasons I’d need to get to diamond.

That’s not what I am saying. You don’t need to complete all the achievements in one season. But you need to cross 4 divisions in a single season (four times – x 4 – uno duo trio quatro). That’s 4 seasons. You can only do that if the achievement is unlocked in the first season.

As someone stated there is 4 seasons a year. You need 4 seasons to complete the League Elite achievement. So if Ascension IV isn’t unlocked this season it cannot be completed.

I guess not if you haven’t done enough achievements to get each year of ascension. If you get to ruby this season you should get to year 3 of ascension. If you haven’t done the other achievements along the way to ensure you get the overall achievement this is your fault is it not?

Refer my previous post which I made an error it is 45 day mandatory requirement in a 50 day single season over the holidays (and during wintersday festival) to unlock Ascension IV. Otherwise no back piece. Seriously?

If that’s the case, then the achievement text needs to be changed, because it straight up says ‘in one season’.

That’s the case, devs stated so. In the end, one needs only to reach Ruby twice and Sapphire twice to get the precursor during all the 4 seasons this year.

So, yes, the backpack is pretty much grindable and that’s it, the League system was thought out exactly with that idea in mind (that’s why the “not-losing-pips-every-rank” system is on up until you hit Ruby).

I think that there’s still a bit of confusion out there about progress regarding the PvP legendary backpack and so I just wanted to pop in and clarify once again that you DO NOT need to complete all of the legendary backpack achievements in a single season in order to acquire the backpack itself. I think the achievement text that Eolirin is referring to is for the “Primordial Legend” achievement, which, while it does require completing in a single season to finish, is not linked to your Ascension progress in any way. Some players who climb to higher divisions faster than other players will naturally be able to finish their legendary backpacks sooner, but again, the achievements for the backpack can be worked on over the entire year’s lifespan of the Ascension achievement category and do not need to be finished in a single PvP league season. Hope that clarifies some things!

Seriously 1 year? And how many seasons is that? Because we need to cross 4 divisions in a single season 4 times and lots of us wouldn’t even have unlocked 4th ascension yet because of the daily time gate. So we will need to have 4 more seasons? Or will getting to legendary in one season be necessary? If so what percentage of people even make it to legendary.

This will clarify if it’s even possible.

How many tiers are there in the League Elite achievement? Going by veteran (2 tiers) and Elite (3 tiers) then League Elite it would be 4 tiers? If so we’d have to cross 4 divisions four times. How many seasons will there be?

There’s a paradoxical problem with matchmaking in that if games were perfectly matched it would be impossible to progress. Win a pip lose a pip. Most people wouldn’t win higher than 50%. So how are you expecting people to have a win streak like this unless you are expecting matches will be designed to be biased or is designed with a loophole for creating match bias. I’ve gone for 30 games at a time with a 65% win ratio and never had a win streak like you are suggesting. You must be stacking the decks for premades over solo Q while trying to appear fair and transparent.

I’m sure a large percentage of us couldn’t care less about your stupid premade stomping bunker league. We don’t enjoy it and have told you repeatedly. We’re only doing it for the rewards. Don’t screw us over with having to play 100s of unfair matches just to get this legendary backpack.

That’s not at all what I said. “(D)ivision(s).. are an indication of experience.” So that once you reach diamond you’ll be playing tougher games and will have more experience than a ruby. It was in response to people suggesting that division doesn’t indicate skill and is therefore irrelevant which it isn’t.

People insult each other regularly in anger. It’s probably your stereotyped nationalistic comments (which is tantamount to racism) that is getting you in trouble. It’s not Germany’s fault you lost.

If you took a class on “slapping yourself in the face” a forth year class would be difficult for a first year face slapper and their classmates regardless of skill would show an overall higher quality of face slapping. Games become more difficult as the divisions progress and if nothing else they are an indication of experience in the current league.

This could actually be working properly. All you know is that there are Ruby players and a sapphire player, but that doesn’t tell you where in ruby those players are. If they had just crossed from sapphire into ruby than its entirely possible they are still being placed against sapphire players. Like a high Amber going against low Emerald player.

At mid saphire I started playing more rubys. One game I was the only saphire in an all ruby game. While your idea has a certain rationality to it I find it highly unlikely.

This is one of the five Mordrem events in Iron marches to complete the Mordrem Problems achievement.

- Coat yourself in Mordrem spores to baffle Mordrem defenses and gather samples from the vine chambers

The hero panel description for this event is “Gather Mordrem samples from the vine chambers”.

I’ve completed this event 4 times and not gotten the achievement. Is it mislabled in the hero panel?

or Gaurds. We get 2 seconds stealth per trap when using a particular rune. They have one reavealed skill for 3 seconds and goes off when the thief plans on revealling themselves anyway. I fought a thief which went ridiculously long. They unstealth for 2 seconds take major damage then run off full stealth to heal. This went on for about 3 minutes till we both went down. If thieves were stronger with survivability they would take most people down without a fight. No one would want that.

The thing is, I LOVE Skyhammer when played “normally,” as in just play it as if there isn’t a gigantic cliff on one side, but it can become hugely unbalanced if one team comes in with a lot of Fears and launchers and the other team does not.

Yeh these are mostly used inside skyhammer where its a small platform. They should make that area bigger to stop this. It’s much more fun when no one touches skyhammer. Maybe there should be 2 skyhammers awell. Then when you have someone on the opposite team you have an alternative recourse than getting knocked off or getting portal trapped by DHs.

Occasionally you have a mes who would rather pull people onto the holes than fight. I have a DH with a great pull but I’d never use it to do this. I’d feel like too much of an kitten (edit: censored is rectum ok?). I think to prevent this youd have to get rid of the holes altogether which is a shame because having to remember the holes are there and avoid them keeps you on your toes.

I had the same idea but doubtful anet would modify the maps.

Rarely can you win 4 vs 5 and teams in these league games (or premades in unranked) basically try to enforce an outnumbered game by zerging on the other team. This means less players in the field and even if you come back and win it’s such a grind you can’t enjoy it.

In unranked you often get 2 random teams who tend roam solo. You get more 1v1 fights without 2 of their teammates showing up. It’s basically what you are suggesting without having to change anything. The scores are closer and everyone puts in more effort as the 500 approaches. After the game win or lose you get a lot more people saying how fun that game was. No match manipulation – no team build manipulation – no 4 minute tank on tank fights. If you get a string of premade fights just try again later.

Imagine if thieves were the op profession. Every team would have a couple of thieves. You wouldn’t see any fights. A thief could easily unstealth for 5 seconds, down a visible player stomp then stealth again. Maybe theres a good reason thieves are on the bottom rung.

I tried bunker mes which is a profession I don’t know and only played a few times in PVE and won more games than professions I’ve played in 100s of pvp games. So if you don’t even need to know how to play to win the game it’s a complete joke.

Premade groups start the match by sending 4-5 players to mid to out muscle the opposing team and every now and then they will mix it up by going to far.

Solo queuers will have diverse and interesting games where people actually enjoy themselves.

You’re right it doesn’t work on flat ground. Also if it does work it often only pulls a few feet not even close enough to hit your symbol. Seigerazer doesn’t have this problem. His can reach about 1200 range and the only thing that stops it is the lip on the tower, a backward dodge or stability. So if they can get it to work for npcs there’s nothing that should prevent it from working for gaurds.

90% of the time this does nothing. Spear of Justice works most of the time with its pull but blinding blade you can hit up to 4 people and it doesn’t pull anyone. Or it just knocks one them over without moving them even if they hadn’t dodged. Seigerazer’s works flawlessly and it has an awesome range. Mine does usually works if the person is standing right next to me but again it’s only knocking them over. It’s suppose to have a 600 range.

The wiki page for Champion Fluffy says this is a bug “Sometimes, players wont be able to locate where this creature’s loot has been dropped.” Does this mean the loot isn’t there at all or it’s too hard to find?
