I’m looking for a player/players to complete last two remaining achievements in Belcher’s Bluff.

1. 50 matches against human player

2. Play a game of Belcher’s with every race

I fail to get any response in Lion’s Arch whenever I’m looking for partner. So if somebody needs those achievements or is a kind spirit then give me a /whisper ingame.

GW1 veteran (if you may that expression) here and bought GW2 september 2012 without hesitations. Few things been wondering ever since. Lack of guild vs guild games and tournaments, those were core stuff in original GW what happened to that.
Guild stuff like guild halls, alliances, etc. What happened to those.

I didn’t read about GW2 before buying it like I normally do with games and honestly I thought these were in the game because they were so fundamental part of original GW. Of course it is my mistake to think that I’m not blaming anyone or devs for choosing another path of development. But here’s hoping they one day might be in this game as well.

Other thing I miss is the choosing of your own skillbar and mixing professions so you could do almost whatever you wanted. Solo elite areas and dungeons with proper builds or whatnots (you can solo dungeons in GW2 somewhat but it includes using of many many terrain exploits etc.).

Yes, same problem here. Made 1 key and didnt get achievement. Not gonna try again with rest of the key pieces I’ve saved yet.

Konig sums it up well. I personally do have time to complete temporary stuff before it disappears but I’ve noticed that it starts to feel more like work rather than enjoying myself.

SAB world2 tribulation mode is good example for me because I really love the challenge and did complete it but there was clock ticking behind me reminding ‘’you have only 2 days to complete storm peaks before it’ll go away’’ so that end up giving little bit of stress.

I’m a LOTRO fan as well and really love the concept there that nothing is temporary except seasonal holidays like summerfestival etc. All the achievements, dungeons, regions, little things, introduced in that game will stay there for you to complete in your own pace. In my server people get together do stuff introduced long ago if they missed it back then or started playing later on.

I don’t really get it with the temporary content. If it would be permanent or at least stay longer before disappearing I think that would have much more positive impact to community than what it does now.

Quality = quantity. Story should play big role in game like this and if a villain like Scarlet comes into game and many months later she doesn’t have any story besides the blog post…

I know Anet competes against companies like Blizzard, Bioware, whatnots but they should maybe take influence from those guys how to introduce lore into a game and make 2d stories into 3d.

I will never kill TEQ cause of overflows

I can see the problems with overflow in events like Tequatl. I had similar problems couldn’t get into my own server Sparkfly zone cause of so many ppl and had to join overflows with maybe 30-40 with no chance to success.

This morning went camping to my main server so I have chances to be with organized group and it worked. It’s just silly though that you have to camp to get place to be with ppl who can succeed in this event.

You are practically doomed to fail if you log in afternoon or something like that. Maybe if you get really lucky one overflow might success defeating but that’s not very likely.

In few other MMO’s with world bosses there wasnt these overflows, whole servers with hundreds of players together on world boss. That gave all chance to participate and didnt leave anyone out. But I guess GW2 engine has limitations to get that happen.

From launch TP has been performing with variety of success, many times it has been down or very sluggish. At the moment it’s rly bad.

For a few days TP has been acting really slow and sluggish. If I try to sell something from inventory it takes 10-15sec to get the sell tab open and something it opens just a blank page and I have to retry and even then it might open just a blank page so it’s just luck to get through to sell an item.

Also buying seem to be same thing. I asked in map chat LA if anyone else getting this same and lots of ppl responded they also got serious problems with TP.

I hope you guys can make TP a proper auction house and boost the performance now it’s very very very annoying because sometimes you can’t even sell anything there with all the blank pages popping up.

Would be awesome to get some performance patches or something,

Karma removed from dungeons....why?

Well yeah obviously they want to make karma more precious and maybe introduce new items that goes without saying when you compare the amount of karma gained pre and post patch. Problem is that there is no more so many alternative ways to get it. Philosophy of change ‘’ok ppl are getting way too much karma let’s tone it down a bit’’, ‘’sorry did you say tone it down completely so those who log in to do dailies and few dungeons per day have tough job now and then sit on the decision for unknown period of time before changing it to a way or another ow ok’‘…..that’s not rly productive.

I don’t mind nerfing the amount of karma gained, would just like to see as many possibilities to get it like pre-patch since Anet many times say loud that they want ppl to choose what way they want to progress to get to some goal be it wvw or fractals or w/e..

I’ve been wondering why the hell did devs nerf karma in the latest patch. Before patch you could gain karma pretty nicely WITHOUT having to farm events like a madman. Now you get little karma pot from daily reward and then all there is are many hours of events or wvw. Before patch getting obisidian shards for karma was somewhat nice for a player that couldn’t play many hours a day, now it’s kittening nightmare.

I just don’t understand what the developers of this game are thinking. I just don’t get it. Look it from any perspective this is just another grind introduced to game forcing to do a lot more events for karma.

Are you ever going to balance the classes?

I use gw2lfg every day doing average ~5 quick dungeon runs with my guardian. I have never seen discrimination in my groups like ‘’sorry we’re kicking you necro/ranger/thief/engineer/whatever because you aren’t zerk warrior’’. I’ve seen all classes do great dmg and survive in AoE/running parts of dung/etc. And I’ve seen players from warrior/guard classes( that some think are best) suck kitten because they don’t know how to evade and use poorly optimized builds.

Few times some ppl have questioned traits of a player ie. ‘’why do you warrior have a condition dmg wep instead of pure power crit’‘. Or ’’why you guardian use so many signets and don’t give us any retaliation’’. But in normal average day PUGs that do daily dungeons there is little to non discrimination. Ppl just run the dungeon and want to finish it quickly nvm what class the group consists and if you know dungeon gimmicks and tactics then you can do it hands tied naked while singing Macarena. Exaggeration that one but you know what I mean. After your initial learning run through new path you know how it’s done and can do it again with lessons learned.

Reason why you can sing Macarena is that GW2 dungeons aren’t like raids in WoW where you need specific builds/classes to complete. Boss battles don’t have enrage timers and whatnot. Sure there are posts in gw2lfg for just zerker groups that want only warr/guard/mes but those are minority maybe 20% or less of all posts from what I’ve seen.

One thing that I’d like to see getting better tho is Ranger Pets. They are pretty useless atm in dungeons getting killed quite easily even if you try to carefully keep them alive. Ranger still has great dmg potential without pet (quickness, barrage etc.) but Anet still has to shape up with the pet part.

Temple of Balthazar Uncon

Hi,

Servers in EU side haven’t recently opened temple of balthazar at least according to GWSTATE site and I have been trying to get obisidian shards for legendary and karma merch is only viable option since paying with fract pieces and laurels is just helluva lot more expensive and orrian boxes are lottery nrg.

How do I suppose to rally so many ppl to do balthazar event when the zone seems to be dead. This is just so painful to log in and see balth temple always contested and maybe once or twice in few days it’s open in US server and I’d have to pay 1000 gems for transfer there and get shards.

Not funny anymore this kind of bottlenecking

Been trying to get these obsidian shards for 5 days now. All balthazars closed in EU whenever I log in. Saw open twiced in US side but if I wanted to go I have to pay 1000 gems for transfer.

My server doesn’t have ppl to open it because everybody’s farming champs or whatnots. Is it possible maybe to put shards behind other karma merchant so that I don’t have to buy them with laurels or fractal pieces.

This what happened in our overflow too. She spawned after final wave to some location in middle of map with one zerg near her. That zerg killed her in some 10sec so most of ppl didn’t get achievement. She needs way more HP or some other mechanic so that ppl have a chance to get to her.

Killed her this morning with my hybrid armor of all around stats that I do PvP and dungeons both. What an annoying bloody kitteny. Scepter and Shield and shout build that I saw on this forum 0/0/10/30/30 there’s link to it on some of the liadra threads.

I didn’t use any food or buffs other than what the build gives, also I didnt change my armor or sigils/runes to anything specific. I only changed the traits to a shout build. So it’s manageable without any money burning to new armor. It took some 25 tries in the end. Basic idea is to use shouts to remove conditions and keep virtue of justice burning on her on p2. Stability shouts are great for possible Cosmic rift that you cannot reach in time with scepter nr.2 skill.

In p1 do your best to avoid necrotic grasp and gather crystals. This phase is all about learning the AoE pattern so that you can just calmly gather crystals. I died more on this phase than in p2. Use scepter nr.2 skill on cosmic rifts.

In p2 use Save Yourself and start running on the edge of arena always running sideways from safe spot to safe spot while shooting liadra and keep the burning on. Burning rly gets her down eventually and doesn’t take that long if you can keep up running the edges and don’t panic.

Sorry for not giving proper build but this shout build is alrdy highlighted somewhere on these liadra threads.

Edit. Forgot to add that I’m suffering from the lags that this patch has given to many players so I had to do this early morning to not get skill delays and whatnots. I tried this last night but there was like 2 sec delays with pressing skills. Anet hasn’t responded to this sudden loss of SERVER SIDE perfomance. I have 100mbit connection and no problems whatsoever with other online games or whatnots.
So ppl you will get liadra trust me, just keep trying and try to do in offhours so that there aren’t ppl that can lag this experience.

Norn female & Heavy Aetherblade clipping

Heyas,

I love the looks of heavy aetherblade so I purchased it from gemstore. Looks really nice on my norn guardian but there’s an issue with shoulders clipping through shield while shield is resting on back or even when my character is in battle stance. I tried many shield models in game to see if it’s only with some of them but so far it seems pretty much all shields go through shoulders.

Is there possible to fix this clipping or is it here to stay? I’m not using the shoulder parts at the moment cause of the clipping but I’d love to.

Aetherblade cache - Tears of Itlaocol

Thanks for the new content again it’s cool. There’s a problem with this Tears of Itlaocol. Puzzle works only after server reset and even then it’s not 100% certain…patterns bugs out and torches won’t lit…been trying everything. Why put a cache behind bugged puzzle?

I managed to do this puzzle few months ago after waiting for server reset. It’s still bugged and it’s been bugged since launch…

Hello dear Anet. First of all I like your game quite a bit. Been playing from start and doing pretty much everything there except all of those dungeons. However these all content you are adding for 2-4 weeks that then disappear I don’t get it WHY does it have to disappear o.O.

Living story should impact the game world but at the moment there is special event for few weeks then it’s back to normal. Why not keep the new dungeons/events/super adventure box….I don’t really see a reason why not to except if you are cold hearted corporate and in a way force the playerbase in game with these time limits you are keeping with these events. I’d love to experience them all but this feeling of rush that these all temporary contents give is just overwhelming at times. I don’t have time to go through all these added content in time because of my own life interfering with my nerd life. Could you please make some sort of library where you can relive events or areas or somth….

I like your game but these temporary contents that go away in few weeks….I just can’t keep up if I want to do for example all the achievements. Why the rush…can’t a player advance with own pace anymore?

Been in LA overflow 4 hours now, 2 of those firework events should have happened but nothing yet. No idea when it’s dawn. Gonna try keep character stay online next 12 hours to see if fireworks happen.
