I have always been impressed with Mags capability for defense. Early on I thought they just liked keeping their PPT and not letting others take their nodes. Their coordination and response time always was impressive due to the use of a server wide voip usage 2nd to only T1 servers(Mag admitted this isnt the case now).

I find it funny that the respect you guys always got was under slightly false pretenses. You defense wasnt about turtling up and keeping your PPT, but the amazing defense came from everyone on Mags wanting a fight so they went to anything being attacked.

Personally I’m not anti nor pro GvG, I don’t care if people do it as it doesn’t affect me in game. What I dislike is the “me me me me me” attitude that occurs, livestreams and forums being spammed with ‘GvG’ and refusal to accept that it isn’t in the games design. That’s annoying enough, but then to insist other people not occupy the same space, and complain that someone was in the way (the fact he was from ANet doesn’t really matter) is silly. A thread about someone interfering with GvG in a game that doesn’t endorse it is a bit pointless.

I agree he should not have used his tag though.

is this the same group of people who tell havoc groups that spvp is -> that way? I’m just wondering since I have seen gvg vids linked in the SIG of a few people who have told me that small group combat as no place in wvw.

“GvG” people ARE WvW people. I think you need to examine where one person gets off intentionally ruining something that up to 40 ppl are participating in with multiple people spectating in the immediate area and on online streams because he’s bitter.

People on reddit are so far up Anet’s butt I don’t know anymore.

They think it’s a vocal minority that posts GvG stuff on forums. They don’t realize that it’s the Commanders of the 250+ man guilds with GvG sections that are posting and if they quit then most of the guild will quit or be displaced.

I’m a casual sPvPer who only really gets rank from Hotjoins. I’m only rank 24, after a year of playing. tPvP was fun with solo queue and I ranked decently, but the current solo queue is broken to the point of being almost unplayable.

So you’re saying I should never get any rank what so ever because someone else is abusing the system?

Honestly, anyone can tell the difference between someone who actually PvPs and is Rank 50 and someone who just ground it. They play like rank 1s.
