torch 4 seems bugged. it seems that it interrupts itself somehow and goes on the interrupt cd, and other times it goes on the full cd but no burning has been applied and there is no torch throwing animation

That could be happening if you try to use it while your back is to your target. A lot of warrior moves do that, and it’s a great way to throw off any move set combo you were building up.
I’ve been getting tons more ‘obstructed’ problems recently with axe and longbow when there’s nothing that would obstruct the projectiles.
i thought about that too, but i’m pretty good about facing target usually and i dont notice it happening on any other skills (dagger 5 for example). also not sure why it randomly seems to give me either the interrupt cd or the full skill use cd

since the WvW team consists of devon and one intern, i don’t think they are coming back any time soon
Devon, can you share anything we may see in the short term? No dates, no time scales, just what exactly is the focus of the WvW development team at the moment? Is a new WvW map planned this year? Or is it on the development plan for next year?
they are currently hard at work to add “PvE Mastery” to the wxp line,
1% more dmg verse pve mobs
2% more dmg verse pve mobs
etc.

Major upgrade to their grouping system is sorely needed. Commander & Squad is a poor system in it’s current form. No flexibility for guilds and players to configure forces the way they enjoy. Guild or private squad system is a must.
keep on preachin’…maybe someday they will listen. or maybe the developers for a certain unnamed upcoming mmo will listen

We also need a way to form “private squads” Allow commanders to hide the pin AND still retain all the functions of the squad system. Allow some control over the size of the squad and control orange swords popping.
at this point, why even bother bringing this up? i think 8 months of silence(see: failure) from anet on this means it won’t happen
this thread will be a great source for depression in a few months when none of this gets implemented

WVW is a competition you move up by WINNING and we won!. We where suppose to move up a tier and play new servers this week and we did it on our own!! Thanks for stealing that from us!!!
as an ebay member who frequently follows goldiy around, i completely agree. we EARNED a new matchup. When i saw that we were up against BP and AR again, as in, 3 months and counting now, it took a lot of wind out of my sails in relation to this game.
keeps getting harder and harder to log on
great idea. so you know what that means, right? anet will ignore it for the next 8 months
whoever approved this match up needs to take a good, hard look in the mirror, and then ask themselves, “am I a moron?”

this game is pathetic. combat is laughable(nothing more than zerg aoe button mashing, dont kid yourself otherwise), playing the same two maps on repeat.
8 months after release and they havent even touched the pathetic joke otherwise known as the commander/squad/group system.
this is their first wvw related patch that hasnt made me instantly want to quit, so i guess its a step in the right direction (probably too late for most people tho).
this patch wont do anything to resolve the extreme lack of group/squad/commander/guild wvw functionality tho, its just giving other stuff to distract us
pointless thread. anet does not care about what the community wants for wvw. i have insider knowledge that they are currently investing all of their dev power to revert culling back to its original state in wvw
at this rate, the devs are ruining this game at a far greater pace than the devs of daoc. i commend them for that
no, leave it as is. I personally enjoy stale matchups against the same servers that drag on for weeks on end
I mean….seriously, where did the idea for traps come from in the first place? why did anet feel a REAL need to invest dev time on a new feature that literally no one has asked for?
and now they will waste even more time trying to fix traps, because of course, anet released a feature that was half baked and apparently wasnt tested at all.
i really hope anet continues to ignore common complaints/issues/requests for months at a time, while releasing other things that no one wants. it makes me want to play their game even more.
don’t spend any badges on those worthless traps, save them for ascended gear when it comes out with the expansion pack

I don’t understand why everyone is complaining. the community has been asking for traps since release, and anet FINALLY listens to us after months of ignoring this huge gamebreaker. you guys just can never be satisfied apparently.
they are working on this, but you have to remember these things take time and dont just fix themselves. give them another 6 months
These traps seem to be getting a lot of very positive feedback. I hope ANET is investing a lot of resources into making this a reality as soon as possible.
I thought that your party was prioritized for boons and heals.
are they? i really don’t know. I thought I had heard that they aren’t prioritized tho.
and yes, communication and seeing party members health/boon status etc is useful, but i guess I’m looking for things that actually help you during combat or something, like more direct effect on your other party members and more group synergy.
targeting is the only other thing i’ve heard here that can definitely be a good part of being in a group in, but really only in certain situations
thats cool and all, but I’m talking about actual gameplay benefits. like as far as i know, boons dont prioritize for party members, right? or heals?
it just seems like there isn’t a real need to join a party
