Dont understand why MF doesnt work on chests, but other than that seems awesome for sub bosses and the new loot set, really been having more interest in the dungeons as result of more interesting loots!

That would be a shame, for new people as well and because it would have been a nice feature anyway. I still have some people playing on other servers that I do know and might wanna join now and then.
Currently my main reason however is the temple of balthazar never being opened due to either the pre events bugging out, or just the epic whipes and 2 low population to nuke the priest down before time runs out. And thats even before the 25% where he heals back up.
I’d rather not switch to another server for this at all… but might be forced to do so or to just forget about the legendary weapons.
PS: Forgot, same as not making the event 2 long, announce it far before teh weekend with all times so people can plan and schedule for it. I understand some people might have been planning other stuff, missing parts of the event, or the whole event if they where gone for the weekend.

Possible, but dont you think that in some cases thats still a bit late? Like when you are planning a week or weekend gone, or vacation perhaps, anything close to that would be planned up front mostly by more than 1 or 2 weeks (sure it happens you plan trips in last moment, but I am sure most of those people dont).
This was no problem for me, but I can imagine that people would want to know A.S.A.P which weekend, and then soon after the times etc so they can make sure they dont miss it when possible.
Okay, I tried to look for this but the details dont fill in the blanks for me.
I am just wondering if I can switch to a server with the free switch and switch back with gems right away?
After free transfer it states there is a 7 day delay before switching again, which I knew, but does that count for the free transfer, or does that apply to gem transfer 2?
My problem is simple, I wanna switch to a server I might be able to enter the temple of balthazar as the event is no option on my medium populated server (Piken Square). However I dont want to get stuck there for a week as I enjoy playing with my guild & friends in dungeons and wvw back on piken.
So the question is simple, can I switch to a server with balthazars temple open and back right away or will I be stuck for at least 7 days?
Also can guesting help me out? This doesnt seem to be implemented i read, but not sure if thats correct. Also read about joining a party and going to their server that way.
However guesting might just bring me to a server with the same problem so transfering would be the easier way.

1 time chest loot like labyrinth would have been a good idea and perhaps 2 or 3 times the event so everyone could enjoy it.
They mentioned they would be easier to get, prices are dropping so even if you have to farm them ur off better now, so stop the complaints about precursors already. You still need to have the right one so most people still had bad luck getting the precursor worth a lot less than the one they needed. They sell them and therefor prices drop.
Also scavenge hunting was mentioned so soon they will be questable or something and you can perhaps just quest for the precursor you want! Give it a little time!
Personally I enjoyed the event, because of the story and creativity behind it, and as my guess is you got more complaints about it than support, I want to say I think you guys did an outstanding job on the event in general and I have to say I really enjoyed it.
As feedback just read this thread, because I think there have been amazing ideas if you read through the anger bits some people leave behind, but here are some I read and I thought about myself:
1. The event was huge, but whole zergs got whiped -> overkill. A bit of skill needed as to dodging the rolling karka’s in time was fun, but all the AOE over by so much mobs covered the whole area in poison whiping almost everyone, which bring me to the repairs. Gear gets broken pretty fast and is pretty expensive to repair in my oppinion.
2. Drops where nice, but as people crash they didnt recieve theirs, others lagged etc. Drops from bosses through mail like quest system send you your rewards, would be much better. This is also an annoying thing in WVW as you dont wanna run from a zerg, getting a kill and miss ur drop.
3. Precursor drops where nice, and I know they are rare so I think the loot was quite nice as I expect everyone to at least have gotten exotics and rares. Precursor should stay a little rare at least I guess as it aint for a legendary for nothing.
4. The duration of the event was 2 long, think about people their bed time (EU gamers) because of work the next day or school, it was ok for me, but I can imagine the pain having to leave the event when having participated for an hour. Missing the loot and the end battle (which I thought was awesome and funny, rolling down the hill and suddenly back up).
5. Most importantly…. take more time to think these events through. You told us GW2 would come when it’s ready, but now you are delivering content like their is no tomorrow and the worst part is that its buggy. Couldn’t finish the event quests, and ppl left to the island earlier in the event before we had the trebuchet build and the karkas in LA where killed getting everyone who did wait killed.
I rather wait longer (and I think a lot of people with me except for some unpatient kids) and have a great event like this, completed perfectly without bugs and annoying moments and lag, then get rushed into stuff that doesnt feel right.
You did great making us wait for the game release, so please keep that in mind when trying to release events & content. Hell, I rather have no event this christmas and an amazing one that was perfected 1 or 2 months later than bugs at christmas. I am not that easily displeased, but no doubt it would ruin someones christmas.
Just skip the deadlines!

Anet is trying really hard, and you guys have great ideas, problem is you are pushing to hard. Giving hardcore players new challenges as they go fast. TBH fudge them, they can play multiple games or get a life cause the rush on events and content is really breaking the game to 90% of the player base that are a little less hardcore or even casual players.
Weekend combined with friend invites was not a great success as they are low level yet do indeed get lots of high levels and big mob events in their area. Next to that the lag and bugs are really annoying, test things more, and take another month before throwing an event/content out there, most people can wait a little longer.
Worst thing in this case was how overflow and normal server arent alined in time with phase 2. People could already get aboard the ship and go to the new world, making people miss the event, or dying cuz they get kitten by way 2 much mobs (veterans mostly as well).
Take your time when throwing special events at us, and please make sure when adding content you do it in great fashion and everything is actually ready!
Easy, keep the 100g Commander (blue icon) option which can be useful for other reasons (PvE and WvW).
Make a secondary Commander icon (in white) that can be bought with WvW badges (500-1000) and perhaps a related set of WvW account based achievements. At least that way you know the person you are following knows the general layout of the maps, map points, objectives and at a minimum, some strategy.
Also, at least include the character’s name on hover over the icon.
Indeed, just make a higher rank with some minor upgrades, call it a general (or so) and ur good 2 go =]
I really don’t find the Risen Priest of Balthazar to be a enjoyable challenge, or a hardly designed boss. He’s a poorly designed fight. He completely removes the core fallen mechanic with 75% of those who he downs, and the damage he takes is almost nothing in comparsion to the sheer amount of damage you can do on him. I do hope someone looks into this, as my server has been trying to down him for days now without success.
Aye worst design ever, I get making a boss hard, but just make it a 30 minute fight without a bloody timer cuz its simply impossible. Mostly there arent even enough players in the straits to do this anymore, he simply whipes the people that do come and passes his time in the 10 minutes easily bashing everyone around.
If that isnt the worst thing, when you think you can possibly make it and theres still 2 minutes left and ur at 25% thinking with a little more DPS you can make it just in time perhaps, he just heals.
I think the line Anet has between very hard and impossible is WAY to thin. I know its hard to make us happy (not to easy not to hard) but currently some events & dungeons are way to harsh, being no fun. And tbh i rather have it a little to easy than spend time throwing buckets of silver at the repair npc >=[
The dungeons are probably fine, but they appear to be built for the old holy trinity classes, where you are expected to pile lots of DPS on a boss while someone tanks and someone else heals the tank. What seems to happen is that the encounters don’t work well at the moment because;
- The new control pillar is too difficult. Bosses can too easily take nearly all of someone’s health in one hit. A tanker can’t tank properly because warnings tend to be very short, and/or it is too difficult to avoid damage.
- The new support pillar doesn’t work well because bosses have all kinds of mitigation/immunity.
Think this might be the problem, also at this point anyone below lvl 80 seems to be shut out of dungeons due to difficulty which makes the game a pain in the kitten for lower levels.
Just did caudecus manor explore with lvl 80 group. Story was no problem, asura path was horrible, 2 hours and no gear left at the end. 1st boss was endless CC on our team, and barely possibilities to keep him from keeping us down.
Further on, just 2 much mobs at the same time? I like a tough fight but theres 10 mobs on 5 of us? no one can take 2 veterans at a time with endless bleeds, bombs that throw u around etc etc.
Final boss was a disaster as well, damage is huge, frost on hit makes him unkitable and adds to worry about. Think the dungeons are a bit overdone, and thats the lvl 40 dungeon? Ofcourse practice makes it better but if you read up on the bosses and its still a pain in the kitten I think thats just 2 much.
Currently afraid of the last 2 dungeons! Story mode where awesome though, loved AC where if you had enough control for example in love script, you didnt have much of a problem, keeping them seperate. Nice challenge, and not an objective thats way 2 hard. Also the rubble/boulders help a lot there. Usable items like that in every dungeon wouldnt be all that bad =]
PS: forgot to mention the most annoying thing, looting, and then looting in wvw more so. When im fighting players, and spinning away making the kill, I dont want the loot bag between my enemies, having to die for it or leaving it. Would be easier if you get something like a chest as daily’s give when completed.
Same when farming events in PVE allthough I have less of a problem with that as you generally dont end up in a huge zerg
Ok I have to say I like world vs world a lot, kinda makes me think of Aion sieges which I enjoyed (was kinda the only enjoyable thing in Aion unfortunately) a lot.
But as 1 of the main posts already suggests, theres a lot of night capping, but as some ppl can only play at night and are thus forced to do so then, closing wvw at night wouldnt be fair either. Are there any ideas for this or is anet working on a solution for this?
Also I’m not sure how others view this, but with the pve mobs in wvw and also jumping puzzles and even gathering in wvw, ques are being filled in wvw by people who are actually playing pve side of the game. Was this intended, and/or will this change?
Obviously people also need to get skillpoints etc (currently already have them) and from a pve players point of view id say, kinda annoying they have to go to wvw to get it completed because while doing skill points they can easily get killed by players as well.
I dont think the mix works all that well but that might just be me talking.
Kinda brings me to the jumping puzzle in wvw, love to do it, but cant jump and fight at the same time so gave up -> annoying as hell, wont draw that point out further than needed.
Also would be fun if bosses are stronger in towers and more important in keeps/castle.
Will make things more challenging, and more important to defend the things you have because capping them gets harder. Would change endless running in circles capping as fast as possible and just starting all over again once you reach the final tower/keep.
Would also need a little more strategic wvwing as to take the boss you need a group killing him and perhaps a group defending the back from a zerg that respawned and walked back to their tower/keep. Probably even need some people to keep their supplies to build some siege weapons to prevent the zerg from whiping the players on boss.
Because currently I dont think the bosses scale well on the amount of players attacking it. It should be possible for 5 players to attack it like events in pve world, but also a group of 30 to do the same in about the same time.
I guess this isnt all that important for supply camps but would be a lot more fun for towers, keeps and the castle.
Of course this is just my personal oppinion and I have no doubt there are players that like it just the way it is. But perhaps anet agree with 1 or more of the points and more importantly a lot of other players.

Aye, charr walk on 4 legs, i suggest you make it possible for us charr to carry people around so we can carry ppl to the top of jumping puzzles if they lack the capability
