I am glad you could prove how ridiculously strong defensive gear is. I really enjoyed using my berserker gear, but every time I was pugging I went down way too fast compared to the others. They could simply outsustain all the damage… So I learned something important. DEAD DPS IS NO DPS. And there is no way to go down with defensive gear, you don’t even have to know the encounters…

What I have learned from this thread:

Playing efficiently in any other game = good and respectable players.
Playing efficiently in GW2 = jerks who ruin the game.

If the people who frequent this forum are half as good as they pretend to be; then they should just enter a PUG with the intention to solo everything. If you expect the run to be bad, then you can’t really be upset when that ultimately becomes the reality. You can however, be pleasantly surprised if the run ends up being good. People enter PUG’s with these expectations that they’re going to be participating in a DnT/rT standard dungeon run, and then for some bizarre reason get really surprised and upset when they don’t get that. I enjoy PUG runs a lot, because I don’t hold players that aren’t in my guild/on my friends list to the same standard(s).

TL;DR People should lower their expectations and work on their own play, they’ll enjoy PUG’ing a lot more.

Unfortunately you can’t give aegis to your party every 10 seconds, but what you can do for that specific attack is use shouts convert conditions to boons by going 30 in the vitality traitline. The 3 shouts combined with 2 blocks from retreat and virtues are more than enough to keep your party condition free on that particular boss.

That or you just press dodge.

The reason why you see only dungeon sellers is not because they “ruined the game” and nobody wants to do normal runs any more. It’s because it takes much more time for their parties to get filled compared to the “normal” ones. You don’t realize it because you never observed it, unlike sellers who refresh their lfg every minute because of the competition.

Got those clowns into my party today, invited a friend and kicked them both.

Actually, that would just mean that people learned to accept sellers and stopped the griefing. But considering how the LFG gets suddenly empty every evening that won’t happen soon, mainly because of people who think like you.

Main problem for me is the sword #5 dosent always works. Sometimes it blocks multiple times and sometimes it dosent do anything which is extremly frustrating in phase 2. Next time I try lupicus I will just autoattack with GS and whirlwind to escape until they fix this skill for those who have a bad computer. I havent succeded yet , only duo :S

Try to hold the 5 button until it activates and don’t stay too close to him while activating or it will block just 1 hit. Ideally you want to dodge away+sword 5 while running towards him again. Good thing about the sword block is that it will be available for 90% of the AOEs, making P2 quite easy on a warrior.

I personally really like Cursed Shore, it’s like my 2nd home because I farmed there so much a long time ago. Kinda sad that you won’t see many people there any more, but hey, times change.

Get berserker armor (with runes of scholar), trinkets and weapons. Your active defenses and perma vigor (if you trait for it) will be more than enough to survive everywhere just fine. You should get 2 Greatswords (1 with force and 1 with night sigil), 2 swords, 2 foci (one of the sword+focus sets with 2 bloodlust sigils and the other one with force+night, you can also get extra weapons for day dungeons or just with slaying sigils), 1 hammer (situational) and 1 staff for Empower+swap to GS pre-combat.

There are a few builds you can go, the most effective ones are 10/30/0/5/25, 10/25/0/10/25, 20/25/0/0/25 or 10/25/10/0/25.

I think our guild is what you’re looking for (heavily dungeon speedclear-focused with me also soloing stuff). Only downside is that it’s new, but people are quite active (especially in the evenings). Atm we are trying to establish a “core” community, you are welcome to join as long as you are willing to listen and improve, after that period the requirements will become stricter. You also need TS and a working mic.

Keep circling him and his normal melee attacks won’t hit you.

Also try staying as close to him as you can while circling, always hit him from behind when he uses his normal attack. Dodge his jump once (or block it), use stability when he goes berserk and take a rifle (alternatively just have the wall behind you and the boss at some distance when taking a rifle without stability). then skill 1.

There are plenty of people selling for 4g or less on EU servers, but most of them exploited through path 2.

They aren’t selling for 4g or less because they exploited through it in no time. They do it to have a chance to sell the path at all, which also applies to legit sellers.

As the title says, I am looking for like-minded players who like doing effective dungeon (speed)runs in an organized group and also have knowledge about it. You should have VoIP and be grown up enough to take one or two bad jokes.

So what would be your argument to say it’s an obvious exploit (skipping)? My guildie said that you 1st never know which way in a dungeon was intended by Anet and 2nd you use “normal skills” to get there.

I had a conversation with a guildie today whether fighting Lupi close to a wall (where he only uses lifedrain and aoe) is exploiting or not. He said yes, because it makes the fight much easier. I said no, because in my opinion it’s not the wall which makes him not using his Blast, but rather the distance and I cannot see how distance to something can be “exploit”. What do you think?
Also, is skipping him exploiting or not?

He resets when you bring him to one of the (closed) doors AND hit him from behind.

Hey, I’m new to soloing Lupi, did him for the 7th time yesterday and noticed he doesn’t use his p3 Frenzied Blast when you stand inside his circle with him next to a wall. Can anyone confirm that?
