I apologize for the bad quality, but that’s the only way I can record on my toaster of a PC (I had FPS drops even with lowest settings).

And because this thread needs to survive in the Dungeons subforum, I have one interesting thing worth mentioning/discussing which I noticed while making this video. You can do Lupicus phase 1 on about the same speed with S/P and D/D, while D/D requires a godly RNG. I think I’ve had a (failed) attempt with about 1:30, sword only. Interesting fact no.2: whether you have acro traits or not doesn’t seem to matter a lot!

I’m looking to be picked up by a teacher for anything and everything but I’m running guardian, really not ready for much on my warrior yet, all the gear and no idea on him. Never really been much in Arah and would love to learn, especially melee on Lupi. I’m definitly not skilled enough for duo-ing though.

I’m in a WvW guild so I wouldn’t be able to bring a group either so I was hoping to jump in on others teachings when they needed someone to fill a slot.

S/P: Blind trash with 5, if no blinds needed, spam 1.

Your condition removal skills are Purging Flames, Save Yourselves, traited virtue (2x with Renewed Focus), focus 4, light field + GS 2.

Ranger traited Signet of the Wild can be used with FGS if you have timewarp, it can also replace Offhand Training for axe 5 (for example at Lupicus), becoming stronger than a mesmer’s Feedback.

Stacking does work against Kholer, though.

I think he only meant it’s ineffective to use that super narrow corner in the north for stacking where your camera bugs out (strangely enough every single AC pug uses it). There are far better stacking spots for Kholer.

Why did you buy the recipe for Tailor that requires Damask? Armorsmith/Leatherworker would have been a billion times cheaper (and it makes 0 difference which profession you use to craft it).

Pugs don’t do AC P2. Because reasons.

You can do Slikk and Sparki really fast if you use the FGS with teleport utilites (kill Sparki first). I think you can get the Clockheart to one of those generators. Also the icebow is really good there.

I think I’ve experienced something even more rare once. When I was still a scrub playing warrior trying to solo Arah, I died to an Orrian Turret (the 3rd one after you jump down). I respawned, went back – to my surprise all turrets+the Abominations were gone and the Lupi gate was opened.

Use Withdraw+dodge to escape his AOE in p3, double dodge his lifesuck and if you’re not fighting him next to a wall – have 15 pts in acrobatics and be prepared to activate Signet of Agility so you can (double) dodge his frenzied blast. Smoke screen CAN be used, however it’s quite unreliable. As your weapons, you should use D/D for the endurance regeneration.

What about meta builds with minor beginner friendly changes? Like acro for thieves or vigor for eles/guardians? Or is that rejected in the manner of “you can’t teach that to a complete beginner, omg it’s missing 5% damage”?

Now you only need to explain me how to qualify for different mentor “ranks”. What exactly is a “meta mentor”? Let’s say, if I want to apply as an Arah mentor and I don’t really care about people’s gear but at the same time I prefer them bringing berserker’s… And if I am able to explain both PUG and speedclear tactics (in Arah)… what rank would that make then? Also the fact that no mentor is listed twice in any category makes it very confusing for me.

Smoke screen against his projectile attack, shadowstep if you get the KD and a platform is about to disappear and maybe the signet of agility (good active and passive). As for your elite, either DS for more reflection or thieves guild for extra DPS. Withdraw is good for that extra dodge against his bomb.
