I’m sorry about spawn camping (Star Player told me there was some grief about that ^^‘) but lets be fair, there are 3 ways out of the spawn, you didn’t have to come rush into the balistas :P and while i did that our keeps upgrade so … why not do it ^^

Btw you should have showed all the fights we had mugi, it was a lot of fun, and yes i’m not a very good havok fighter xD i learned a lot from you guyz.

The only encounter I’ve had so far with that Bags guild is seeing a few of them (along with members of Rise, Hmmm and DUI) among the 20 or so SBI players spawn-camping about half a dozen IOJ players in the NSP BL tonight. They spent almost half an hour trying to lure the IOJ players out of range of the legendary guards so they could zerg them.

I’m sure they’re pretty talented duelists using the most up-to-date solo roaming builds since most of them were quite difficult to bring down, but it didn’t really leave a great impression of any of the guilds involved to see them invest so much time and effort into trying to flank outnumbered opponents just outside their spawn point.

This is because we hate you. Ioj is the premier open field siege building group of baddies and frankly it disgusts many of us. Then you get a couple transfers trying to act like they are something special. Aaaand obviously they aren’t. Individual/small group skill is nothing Ioj has ever had and will never acquire..

Don’t complain about boredom when you are the cause of the problem. I just checked the recruitment boards on these forums and half the IOJ people posting in this thread go out of the way to recruit more people to a server that doesn’t need it. Which is fine btw just don’t complain when you crush every match up because no one wants to even try when one server has 10x more than the other.

Also, with regard to the roaming comment that cynz made – please point me in the right direction. Most of the guys I’ve fought this week have been trash, be it 1v1, 2v2, or anything, really.

That’s not to say that all the fights I’ve had have been terrible – there’s been a select few guilds that have been a blast.

Are you MEM guys serious? Getting a cannon up for two of us? This match up is so crap.

Oh I have plenty of friends on other servers that I chat with. But in a Zerg fight I usually get plowed right along with everyone else, regardless of friendship. It was just so hilarious, I had to come post about it. Still laughing really.

How does that even work? Don’t you think one of the mindless pugs would have attacked the player?

A much more likely scenario is that the zerg was steamrolling its opposition, focusing on spamming 1 and running through, with the greater majority of its players tunnel visioning right to the back of the enemy zerg. Besides, who cares about that one loot back, when they have a big blue icon to follow!!

It appears that I missed some forum drama. Crap.

Frankly, I don’t have much patience for the silver tier. Being from an Oceanic guild, we’ve found basically 0 oceanic presence from the other servers (hopefully something that will change when we fight Kaineng/YB/BP/Whoever). This could be because of the terribly boring karma train that our server’s been participating in this week, though.

I decided to take a break from solo and duoing this week in order to level a guardian. I’m glad that I did, albeit at ET and HoD’s expense. I started at 29 two days ago, and I’m about to hit 70.

I promise as soon as I hit 80, [roam] will be out and about a lot more again!

Versed a wonderful SoCA (Or w/e the spelling is) condition thief today. You bested my twice, but I’d love to have another go at you… This time without various animalia attacking me throughout. Whenever you called out your thieves guild, it was basically game over. My poor little disenchanter couldn’t keep up with those bleed stacks that you were piling on to me.

Perhaps, if I see you again, I’ll even follow my previous advice and employ a cheesy moa, rather than my mass invisibility. Hehe.

EDIT: As a side note (mainly aimed at IoJ, but I guess it also works for the other servers) – I’d love to fight some more oceanic/late night NA players. My guild can’t be the only one that’s sick of running around empty BL, capping empty keeps. Let’s hope we move up and fight DH/SBI/Kaineng next week!!

I want to thank the couple of SF thieves that have been providing us with laughter and bags. It is so funny when they get turned into a Moa, seems their stealth no longer works. Oh my aching laughing muscles!

This also works particularly well on the rapid inflow of meta builds that I’ve been seeing, including, but not limited to:

- Fear-mancers;
- Stun-lock warriors that love to run away at any sign of trouble (only to realise that the spam-laugh in moa form isn’t very fun);
- Spirit rangers (although not as effective in this case); and,
- Condition thieves

If only Moa weren’t on such a long cooldown – I would totally use it more often.

Please Henge, can you guys stop wasting my time in your downed states when it’s absolutely clear that you’re going to die?

This is an issue that my guild has found too. Being an oceanic based guild, it’s probably even worse due to the lower-tiered servers having a generally low oceanic presence. It’s no fun when you log on and we’re sitting at 600+ ppt. In fact, all week we’ve been saying in our TS how boring it is. I even got to the point of mentioning to somebody on DR about how terrible I think spawn camping is – but when it’s at the point where the enemy spawn is the only part of the map where I can find any fights… well, so be it.

Having said that, last night was the first time we had a lot of fun this match up. In DRBL – TRON had a few players out and about, and we purposely left north bay’s gate open in order to get a bit of action going on.

Hopefully tonight we’ll have a repeat!

Good fights with Dreadmode last night. I was busy doing some uni work when my guildy messaged me saying that there was a super OP warrior from SF who hadn’t died to any of the people he’d dueled yet. Pshh, why would I do uni stuff when I could be having fun, anyway? Challenge accepted!

Dread and I go way back, too, and when I received the whisper from him I instantly said to myself, ‘Oh crap, I remember you.’

Just started playing this game and last night I gave solo queue a shot. I’m in over my head. I know there’s a list of builds and guides stickied on the forums, but I was wondering if these are up to date or not.

General consensus from the spvp forums, is that “shatter” is the only viable build a mesmer is capable of atm.

I was wondering if anyone could point me to which “shatter” build these people are referring to. I seem to be quite lost at the amount of builds and versatility involved.

Help a newbie out.

The general shatter trait spread is 20/20/0/0/30 or 0/20/20/0/30. Full zerk trinkets and accessories. Supcutie plays a great high-end shatter spec – the thread is somewhere on this page or the next I’d recommend you try it in spvp first, though, before going to solo queue – for your sake and for your team’s sake.

EDIT: Actually, I’ve just found a video that one of my colleagues on IoJ uploaded. His name is Shikamaru X, and I’ve rarely seen him run with our zerg.

Also, to the OP, I play on IoJ. The servers we face range from T5 and below. Whilst you do see the blob on occasion, it’s definitely not difficult to avoid, and small-man escapades are definitely there. In fact, the most prominent scenarios that I find myself facing are solo players, with one or two more joining the fray soon after either of us have initiated combat. I think my 1v1’s and 2’s have only been interrupted by the zerg on very, very rare occasions.

:S I wonder what I’ve been doing almost every time I play WvW, then. I run with a guild group of 4 – 8 players, and almost every fight that we encounter is against even numbers. We rarely encounter “zergs”, that we don’t think we can’t handle amongst ourselves. I’ll upload a 30 minute video as soon as I get home tonight, and you can fund me my legendary.

Note: I also solo roam a lot, and I very, very rarely have problems with the zerg. Perhaps you should leave EB once in a while.
