I still can’t believe that not one comment from any dev in any of the dozen posts about the culling problem has happened, this is why they get such bad vibes about their customer relation. They want feed back all the time yet do nothing to the respect of this community about the feed back.
Again another failed patch implementation and guess it will be another 3 weeks before they go ohh we will look into it, given the history of their patches you would think by now that they would assign 2 devs to constantly check these forums for the bugs it creates, report back but also say to us hey ty for the info guys , that wasn’t the intention of the patch we will check into ASAP and get back to you within the 1hr.
That is what customer relations is, and with your past history and your statements that you are going to up your game in this field , you have failed your customers again.
omg tonight was embarasing for the devs if they were to actually get in and play wvw, first they would have to que fro any where from 10 mins -1hr-2hr-3hrs.
Then try and I know follow your commander with your Zerg of 20 ppl , guess what if he gets 10 feet in front of you he vanashes and you have to look at the mini map too see where he is going .
Ohh and lest see what happens when you get into a battle,, mmm ther is mabye 5 poor guys about to get hammered by your 20, untill you have lagged to a slow death and OMG there is FOO with there full 80 odd zerg having a cold beer over your body. Where did they come from???????????????
Get your act together Anet you have totally destroyed wvw with your last update and the free transfer ending saga of death to the servers you set up to keep things playable will be the death of wvw.

I cannot believe the latest update to the game has massacred wvw . The complete rendering of the game now makes it just about unplayable in wvw in any battle for alot of players . The end of the free transfers has also cause considerable drama for alot of servers, If its not the drama in Tier 1 that is going on, its the lack of players in other servers.
Not one comment in the wvw forum from a dev intervening in the t1 thread that has become a hostile joke ,and allowing servers to become a waiting line que a mile long just to get into wvw due to the mass transfers isn’t good for the game.
I hope like alot of players that someone is doing something about this, but the silence from the devs in wvw forum is to say the least deafening.

Some interesting facts
I havn’t read every post just browsed over and since this has been bumped i have a few questions, So the server cap was increased to 500 from what I gather.
I am on server sos, now does the 500 cap apply for all 3 servers in a bl map or tier or 500 for just our server?
Now if its for our server does this cap apply to the tier we are in or each individual BL map.

Received an email back from support within a day, which I must say was just fantastic but they have left me confused. I reported a game bug loot drop within wvw and I think that they were confused at my request, and adviced me to put another ticket in via the in game report, even though I also made a topic in game bugs for the devs to look at the problem.I want to make sure before tripling up on the work load of the devs dealing with bugs buy submitting yet another topic on it.

okies after some thought on this , the chest that the dev was referring too happens in only a select few quests, now I have a theroy its a quest line that happens rarely so with that in mind there is one quest that is very rare in deed and that happens to have the rare chest at the end of it. It is alos one of the few quest to have a Named boss.
So now if you do get this drop from my theroy don’t forget phabby lol
but anyways I think you are all in the wrong place and should be at the Bloodtide Coast farming the metta event " The Campaign Against Taidha Covington". One of the only named bosses that isn’t a risen or dragon, also note even wiki said this event has a slim chance of starting due to pre events that have to be completed in time for this event to kick off and ohh the pre event help bill and someother dude clear risen has a boss that will smash you to bits, and has to be completed for the metta event chain to start.
So if anyone wants to have a go at this on SOS server please give me a yell in game Goddess Tish , cause I want a chance at that chest
This is is no way a Troll, I think we can all benfit from helping each other out with this as something doesn’t add up and we need to do something other the talking to show anet their system isn’t working right.
here is a problem I see, all servers have complained about the que times on the bl’s, now from what I gather its a 500 server cap, and I cannot figure out weather its 500 per bl per server or 500 per tier per server, but what I am seeing in all honesty that last nite in SOS Bl with only around 60-70 sos players on 1 map , its caped and you have to que for that map.Now I would assume its the same for the other servers so I was thinking since this week is almost done comanders on all 3 servers tonight do a map pic or take legitement numbers of the players that are on the sever for an argument statement back to anet in regards to the cap limit and que times on Bl maps
I know last nite in sos we had no more then 70 players on combined at one time and it was qued ,now Jq looked to have alot more then that in the map around the same time as they have done all week and I would assume they were qued as well, which logically doesn’t make sense if we are all caped to 500 by server it should be even players on the maps at anyone time before any que would take effect .
Now if it is caped at 500 per Bl map then only after each server had 165 players in the map then a que would start, and if its 500 players at any one time in Tier 1 then only 125 players per bl map for each server would be allowed in before a que would form.
Now I think you would all agree that most nites before the cap on a Bl map starts then there isn’t 500 players in that map from each server and not even 125 players from each server so something doesn’t add up at all. And for an example last nite after sos bl crashed and then we could get back there after 50 odd of us from merc jumped across there was a que time which doesn’t make any sense at all .
I hope you guys from JQ and Bg see what I am getting at and understand I am not trolling that we should take some hard evidence and show anet that something just isn’t right, so that we can all get on alot quicker and play with our mates and continue to have epic battles against each other as it is so much fun to have alot of players from all sides in the maps going hard.
On a side note god I wish they fixed the rendering you guys from JQ scared the crap out of me last nite in bay, I went to follow up the stairs on the wall to just get hammered by an invisible zerg that wasn’t there and wasn’t till I was dead that I started to see the red guys trampling me.

still haven’t found any more info on this drop looking thru guru site, though the name might be – Repair siege weapon, if that helps locate it .Asked my guild about it and nearly everyone hadn’t seen this drop as they don’t stop too look at what they are picking up,so there is a great chance that alot of players in wvw are missing out on this drop aswell due to the frenzy of picking loot up so fast to keep moving.I know I wouldn’t of payed attention either just it came in one of the new shiny chests that drop so was like a kidd at xmas opening my first one of these lol.
So after getting a gold drop in wvw ,that disappeared ,which was a drop I hadn’t seen before and my guildies had no clue about has got me thinking what actually drops from areas.
The drop I got in wvw was a Gold- repair siege weapons. that didn’t end up in my Inventory but It did drop.
So what have you found dropping that is unusual and where?
I haven’t seen or heard of a mini dropping yet cept from the new karma boxes and special events, would be interested if one of these has dropped somewhere .

Had an interesting mine in cursed shores last nite, using a BL pick had 3 shots at a node and got 2 ori and then a rock,?????whats with the rock? i thought a BL pick was better then the rest seams thats been nerfed as well
He is supposed to be a very challenging encounter, but currently he is a wee bit too nasty. We will do some fine tuning in an upcoming build.
the question is…is it worth to do this event? If he’s now more challenging, is the loot better from the chest?

This has happened twice to me, I have recieved a gold drop in wvw and when i hit F to take it it disappears from my Inventory.
The gold drop is – Repair siege Canister , Double click to use to repair siege.
Where has it gone after I have picked it up? or is this a bugged drop that is suppose to be removed from the loot table and if so should it of been replaced with another gold drop(like a precursor)lol
As I said this has happened twice in wvw over the last few weeks, first time I really didn’t pay attention to the item as I didn’t have time to look at what I was picking up, but last nite I had the time so hence the ??

yep lol on sos we finnaly, after prob 40 guys lying on the floor dead, got him killed and for omg wait for it 3 greens.

trying to rez someone is even more fun, if you survived the RED CIRCLE OF DEATH , lol, and got to someone to res the circle appears, you TRY and break rez, and wooohoo you laying next to the guy that was dead going LOL LOL.
Really bad and for some reason the necro’s can’t use sig of undeath to rez3 ppl .

Omg what did you guys do too this guy. Grenth is without doubt the hardest monster in game with a 1 hit kill of everyone in his kill zone. Surely you guys can’t be that serous that one boss can wipe 30 players in 1 kill ?
we did manage after 30 mins and alot of rezing from allmost everyone in map, but really hard enough with the wraiths that you have too lure into an area without getting smashed by the boss in 1 hit when there is so much aoe going on .trying to res someone is a joke as well because of the stuck affect when rezing , you try and res ,red circle of death appears, and before you can stop the res you are another body laying watching the world go round .
Also I don’t know if its an area affect or not but necro’s skill- sig of undeath won’t res a person let alone the 3 that its spouse to so could you check that out as well

I love my necro, she is great especially the way I have her set up , but for the love of all things she is sooooooooo squishy at times.
I am so wanting more skills to chose from as well , as the elites on offer ,only 3 of them are any good, the weapon skills locked in is something I don’t like at all in any class, I would like to have a choice on the skills I want to use like we had in Gw1.
As for all the complaints that is a very easy fix for anet to address ……. Answer the complaints and bugs reported straight away not 3 weeks after the fact, or not at all. Then the majority of this community won’t be hating on them because you are constantly being ignored when they have asked for your input in the first place.
This game is great that is for sure and it can and will be alot better in the future I am hoping, There is always teething problems in games this I can live with and they should know what the community loved about gw1 and hopefully over the next few months we get some of that feeling back into this game with the updates.

Sad Panda, you could use your guild bank for transfers that way there is no mail, there are quiet a few threads on this yet no real answer to any of our concerns so don’t hold your breath on one.

which operating system are you using?
I know with my older set up Quad core, nivdia 560 gtx, 4 gb ram, I have to run everyrthing on low in case of a battle and wvw I don’t see anyone in a Zerc fight . I know most of my problem is the crappy win7 32 bit I have on atm ,the game just dosn’t like it at all, where I can run BF3 reasonable easy on high- max settings. wish they would fix it because when on ultra settings the game looks fantastic, just can’t kill anything in a group lol
disappointed , the Tixx events were boring after the 2nd time round
No hunt for a mini PB which has always been a GW’s tradition for wintersday.
Farming Mystery Gifts in the world was a lie they didn’t drop like we were told they would so all you ended up with was more of the same junk nothing special to go wow ill keep farming the giant gifts.
Hated the JP cause of the timer, Physically cant go that quick thru a jp need an option for no timer even if the drops would be lower would be nice to have some chance at finishing it for the fun of it.
So yeah disapointed in the content, Loved the graphical side of the event ,the dev’s did an amazing job with that side of things every thing look amazing.
So with the event now over and your all back at work, do you see why your community has issues with communication when a response hasn’t been given in any way with this issue even when it was brought to your attention multiply times within a few days after the event starting. All we needed was a straight answer that the presents in question were not world drops even though you stated that they were and it was a missprint.

reading most of the posts here I feel That the dev’s have done a huge mistake with these bans considering they were asked not only on reditt but in game as well and said nothing at all early on.This no direct contact with the community on this problem resides totally on their shoulders as if when asked the question they do not give a response then it would certainly be the general consensus that this was in no way a breach and allowable buy them .
The logic they have taken seams to be an OMG we have stuffed up , our own guys are doing it, we need to shut it down asap before every player jumps on this and we have no market left or a market out of reach. i am sure most here would remeber what SF did to UW and ecto’s and the response to that once they figured it out.
I am sure it will get sorted in time but they really do need to step up their liaison response time and address problems alot quicker then they are currently doing.

Far from it mate ,I personally don’t care much for shiny shiny things I just enjoy the game but alot of ppl do care and if there is a big incentive more would be enticed into playing a vanquish themed instance,and it would have to be in hardmode as was gw1 VQ runs.
I loved VQ runs in gw1, not only was it great fun to pit your skills against the developers monsters there was alot of strategy involved with some maps to complete the area.You never made that much out of them but it was more then normal and it was Hardmode so even low areas would pose a challenge .
Thanks guys for your addd thoughts, I feel that gw1 had some great content that should be added into gw2, don’t get me wrong I love the way the world is set up now running around meeting ppl along the way is just fantastic compared to the closed instance of gw1 world, but unless someone is doing the map completion you are stuck at just doing karma events. try going into cursed shores and doing an out of the way skill point,1) you get your butt hammered along the way there, 2) most of these guys are unkillable without a group.
Would be fun to have the worlds like a dungeon instance kill and clear everything for a said achievement, or the drops are set at a higher level in the loot table, say complete a region receive a precursor if you complete all regions get a Legendary.
This would make something that everyone wants ,made easier to get

yep with the event nearly over looks like all our hard work farming for one of these drops has gone totally in vain and another ignore by the devs to save face of yet another stuff up
I cannot do this jp either, for those of you that say its easy I would say sure it is compared to the clock tower one, i can actually do this one for about 30 s lol. if you would all consider that some of us older gamers , I am 42, the old body parts don’t work like they use to so having this a timed jp makes it impossible for us to complete.
I have said in the past that the only solution for holiday event jp’s would be to have 2 modes .A NM and a HM version. the nm version not timed with lesser drops and the hm version timed and up their with the clock tower for you guys that thrive on that stuff.
holiday events for me are about participation and not the reward and with the jp’s i do feel left out as there is no physical way for me to get thru them
fair go they are on holidays but what isn’t good on their behave is the event that is running with problems and getting no answers on the said problems and we won’t until the event is over with. This isn’t good practice at all if there is a problem with an event that is running then at least have the ppl available to address issues with this event at the time it is running. Everything else can wait till they are back from hoildays that is a very reasonable thing for them to have us do , but you can’t have event bugs and not be addressing them at all while the event is running.

Gw-1 player for 6 years and I am totally in agreement with the statements we want more skill choice and better unique drops from bosses reasons for this it would improve the game dynamics totally because you would have something to do.
i am a casual player and as such the thing I love most is exploring and being rewarded when I do kill that epic boss and gw2 dosn’t have that at all.
the argument for limiting skills so that the player base is on an equal par is just a joke . the whole concept of games are that it is fun for everyone and you will allways have some elite players in any game that have the ability to play above the rest and set examples of what you can achieve and that is what I loved about gw-1. You had players that were so good at the workings of builds and game play that it would drive you to keep trying just to get that 1 chance of a rare drop, because they would instill within the community their knowledge and help and i feel this made a stronger game for everyone. Gw 2 doesn’t have this type of play at all, it doesn’t allow players to be that elite shining beacon for us average players , as let be honest if you put the grind in no mater how average a player is( like me) I can still do the new fractuals without any real pressure to lift my game as if you progress thru the levels their are players at that same level, unlike if I was to try and do a SC of uw in gw1 I would be laughed out of the party.
The drops for bosses is a disappointment far beyond belief, not much I can say on this then its a major fail. If you go and kill a dragon their isn’t any value at all unless you get that 1 in a million rare , you should at least get something better then killing a group of undead in the level 1 zone. when you kill a boss in cursed shores their is no difference then killing a low level boss in the level 1 area. WTF? why? why? why? this is one of the bigest fails on the games development ever.
The down levelling is a joke , If I have a boss ( and I do) in a low area that I can’t kill when I am at that level going thru that area then I want revenge when I have reached level 80 to go back and kick his sorry kitten hard, thats my reward fro getting to level 80. worked great in gw1 so why oh why down level us?
I can say that the graphics and I CAN JUMP wooohooooo is so much better but omg dx9????????? need I say more

We have still not received an answer as to why the intended drops of the wintersday boxes that you can buy from the gem store are not dropping around the world.
As one that farms alot of not only the spawning giant presents but alot of foes as well I am yet to have seen one of these drop, as well as being in one of the largest guilds in which no one else has had one drop, so could we get an answer please.
Also why are the spawning presents not showing up in the cursed shores as this area is one of my main farming areas for karma I have only seen 1 there the entire event?

gee and I thought running 1000 chest runs to try and get a mini polar bear, that i didnt get in gw1 was fun, its always always always RANDOM so don’t be stupid and spend real money on chance you are bound to lose it is a game after all, and part of being in gw’s is it is always random on drops so that every player gets the same chance.

i have been farming cursed shores and no drops there, also have been opening the big pressies in other areas but with no luck either.
On a side note the giant pressies spawning all over don’t seam to be as active in the cursed shores either, I have only seen 1 all week there, so a please explain ? on that note would also be nice might be that this area is supose to have these as a drop from the giant pressies and noone has checked that they are not spawning
I don’t think anyone has seen the rare gift boxes as a drop and i do believe they are suppose to have been droping all along. is this a coding error? or are they now dropping now Tixx has reached LA?
I have been farming these on my necro in high areas and have found them to be great fun, the dolls kick some serous butt lol, the rest i found not to bad, however what I am finding is the very total lack of rare gifts. This event seams to be bugged , the priest dude is hard to kill thats a given since he is a boss but the hardest part is when he goes in too restore mode , sometime you get turned into a wolf until you reach the guys healing him then it turns you into a useless moa chick or a crocodile.
Both of these forms are so under powered it is impossibly without 40 plus players , we had about 15 players at the start and were unable to keep the guys from healing the bosss cause it takes so long to kill the healers in the forms the way they are structured in damage dealing or I should say the lack of. Seams the event dosen’t at all adjust for the amount of players at the site either with 15 players there was no difference at all when we pleaded and beg for more players to get around 40 guys there.
hope you can look into this event it was fun when we ended up having everyone that was in the server there but still I think something isnt right.
Ohh and the boss guy really hates necro’s, he picked on me so much it was a joke and even other ppl were commenting how much he had it in for me to the point he would chase me and iggnore everyone else around him till he kick my necro so hard it wasn’t funny( though we were all LOL ) Don’t know if this was an intentional ploy by the devs but man I got hammered.

Everyone needs to give the above dev a huge HUG for all her hard work with the Lost Shores and the karka chest reward. She has gone out of her way to help us all with this matter above anyone else’s efforts and for this we should all be very thankfull.

Well I think a great job has been done by Gaile, I did put in a support ticket and received a chest in the mail which was a huge surprise indeed.
As any of you that have followed my posts would know I didn’t do the final event due to the timing, however I did participate as much as one could with both day 1 and 2’s event’s .So it would seam that the support team is taking into account every aspect of our complaints and is being really generous, with this they have certainly proved that they do care immensely about us players and the problems that have surrounded this event.

Guys, you should be aware that we are accepting tickets, and not every chest has been distributed. I see some down-heartedness here, and while some of you simply may not qualify, some will.
So feel free to submit a ticket and outline your situations, and then please give the team time — a few days, if you please — to review your situation and get a decision back to you.
I know you are doing above and beyond what you should be for everyone here and its deeply appreciated, given this really shouldn’t be falling on you as there are other devs that were responsible for this event from the start that have seemingly gone into hiding.
however to solve this after 4 weeks nearly of the threads that have gone on and on with no official word till you started in this thread people are getting frustrated not at you but at the ppl above you for the total lack of clarity on what constitutes receiving the chest .Everyone here knows guildies or friends that have either received a 2nd,3rd or 4th chest, ppl that were not on for the final event receiving chests, and I know with my HC wvw guild of guys that had nothing to do with the event that were on doing wvw only and receiving chests.
Since this has aspired it would be better if the dev in total charge of this whole event makes a statement in regards to the issues they have created without the crap that has been fed to everyone in the other forums by these said devs. the constant run around is not doing anything for this community.
Without you alot of ppl would still be lost at what is going on and we all should be thankful for you. Even when you are here telling us one thing yesterday ,another dev in the main threads was telling a totally different story at the same time so you can understand why everyone has had enough and wants the absolute truth from someone of authority, time for the ceo to earn his money I say
