Friday night reset had incredible lag all over didn’kitten There was a patch or server reset shortly after the horribad lag. I remember after the lag ended, I got a 2 minute quickness buff it was kind of nice, but felt dirty to spam 1 skill like that.

So i provide the key to making leagues interesting, without making server stack a huge issue, and the one comment I get is in regards to my poor sense of humor….

This plan is pure genius, find some holes in it, people.

They thought it was a good idea, had really good intentions with it, but didn’t forsee this mess happening. Now there Bosses Boss is too bull headed to allow them to change it, because he is meeting his numbers, and getting his huge bonus check, from the gem store bandwagoners. If they give you a kitten load of money and said dont change a thing, would you change it?

I don’t think this decision is up to the little guy the lower devs do care no matter what other people say. 9 out of 10 times decisions such as this are based on inept executives calling the shots and ruining stuff. Since the 3 weeks after opening northernshiverpeaks.org and giving away basically butt-ton of tools and services that have been in development for months, i’ve pretty much concluded that NSP (minus 2 big WvW guilds) is really just a casual PvE server. It’s lost a great deal since release, getting people even remotely organized even for a teq kill is like pulling teeth, let alone getting people playing in any organized manner in WvW (again minus 2 big guilds and a handful of smaller ones). There are a bunch of smaller guilds that continually get left out in the cold, and not even by their own accord, of any organized play, even when people here are willing to basically do a big chunk of the work for them. I might play more in WvW if it wasn’t such an Ego-fest.

It doesn’t even matter if Devon say’s he’s playing on NSP, what’s one dev going to do with a bunch that, for the most part, could care less about WvW. No stab against the players on NSP, it is what it is. We even have a tool that would be extremely valuable to WvW players that no other server has at the moment. I feel pretty disenfranchised at the state of NSP right now and i don’t even play WvW enough to know. Just the fact that we are matched up with the lowest ranking servers and aren’t ROFL-stomping them kinda shows (at least to an outsider) that NSP is a hot mess.

News Flash – The 2013 Bloodlust League brought to you by Vaseline™ has made almost all of the servers, that are not top of their division, a hot mess. THIS IS THE PROBLEM.

Instead of trying to find ways to make WvW more balanced, they threw their hands up, and said it couldn’t be done. Then they proceeded to make it even more unbalanced and continued emphasizing this flaw by finding more ways to encourage this unbalance, all the while making more money. Kitten that.

Why does one have to own more monitors to get more screen view space? That’s not a level playing field. This IS an exploit, legal or not.

You don’t have to buy more monitors, you can do this in window mode. Did you read the thread? It is not an exploit it is FOV, change your field of view if you like.

Most of the time your server is just poor at placing siege, the rest of the time the AC is shooting through the hole above the door.

Why double team when you will lose and they have upgraded towers and Power creep buffs? Just farm the other side that has paper gates, and is getting ROFLSTOMPED. Get your loot bags and wxp like good farmers do.

I feel like i get considerably more yellows, and yesterday got like 2 exotics, which never happens (The glob rate when I harvest said yellows, has become abysmal, though. We talking like 1 glob to 5 salvages ). Now I do play with a magic find infusion and have Outmanned buff up all the time. so rolling about 135 magic find

Or they could tie the benefits of bloodlust, to trigger only when you are outmanned…. which would make the larger servers have to keep those points while also maintaining their mega-zergs.

Plus the fact due to ANET Math™ (Yes I am trademarking that) We typically end up being Outmanned up into the point when we die then the buff is lifted and reapplied after we spawn. WTK is that about? The other scenario I encounter with the out manned buff is regularly being outnumbered 3 to 1 by one of the other two servers, but not having the buff, WTK? You mean to tell me we have 2/3 of our forces farming dredge? I really dont think so.

Yeah. It’s a bit of a kick in the gut. Last week my server was against two other servers right about on our same level; the match up was close all week, and playing was actually fun. This week, we’re against two servers waaaaay bigger than ours.

Transfer its what anet wants you to do, may even wanna wait to the last day and stack on the server who will be top of silver or bronze league. You will probably be playing right next to devon on NSP, although from the way he handles the balancing of wvw I don’t think he plays much anyways.

Since Anet Kittened things up with this bloodlust vaseline finisher league thing, and most of us have either transferred or are going to be spawn camped for the better part of 7 weeks, why don’t we make things interesting, and allow wages on the matches?

This may make up for Anets complete lack of disregard at attempting to balance populations, and instead making them even more divisive, by allowing us who are spawn camped to actually make enough money to buy stuff, or even transfer off the kitteny servers if we want to if we make the right bets. It may keep things interesting enough to keep some of us stuck on underpopulated servers around. Probably not, but it may be worth a try.

I will say that DR is doing well given the difference in ranking between servers. Every time I check you guys are holding +200 or more ppt.

during NA primetime during the weekend we may be able to get about an average of 40 players on EB, but cant do much on any of the BL, maybe another 14 on our home BL. As soon as 10-11 est hits it becomes defend what we spent upgrading like the alamo with 15 players, until we lose a tower or two and succumb to pressure of 3 to 1 odds, then the rest of the night the other two servers take turns flipping our paper gates, and leveling up their wxp so they can throttle us with even more wvw buffs in the morning.

If you ever want real life decision making skillset, come command in DR during the slow retreat. Yes you will lose everything, but how can you slow it? We know it is inevitable, we are all willing to do what we can to try to stop it, but in the end we fail. Even knowing we are going to fail we still try to make the right calls when possible in order to prolong the ability of our server to defend itself.

I am proud of our guys/gals who, in the face of certain doom, still muster enough strength to protrude their middle fingers and direct them at Anet and their pay to win no skill press 1 to succeed Meta.

Tier 8 Needs its own league Please!

Are T 2 and T3 servers that big of kittens, that they are afraid of losing and being spawn camped by superior numbers. Come down to t8 and see what it is all about. Stop getting you panties in a bunch, dry off your tears, and take it like a man. Get better or lose trying.

So a solution that they could use to frame this league thing and help better balance out the server population discrepancy. Why not form teams from the leagues that use total points from all three servers to count towards a combination score? This makes sense to help even out populations between high tier and low tier servers knowing that their overall score is tied into the lower tiers as well.

1. would be paired with #12 and #24 = team 1 ; #2 would be paired with #11 and #23 = team 2; #3 would be paired with #10 and #22 = team 3 (and so on…)

The weekly score would be a composite of each member of the team. We would still have 3 golds, 3 silvers and 3 bronze servers for the league.

This would make the stack less likely to occur, and would mix things up from season to season. Also the pairings would provide incentive for Higher tiers to help coach or even transfer to middle and lower servers. The formula would also reduce stacking as it would be difficult to gauge a definite winner given all of the factors.

I know that it is just an idea I had, so I am sure if the great minds at anet get a hold of it they could definitely tweak this someway (or find a way to strip of us our cash in the process, I am not on their payroll so I will not be given them any of those great ideas here either) . Is there any reason a format like this would be horrible? It can’t be worse than the 7 weeks of spawn camping most of us have in front of us now.

I think the leagues are fine. Just the idea of the top 6 is a bad idea.

In NA, 1-3 need to be in their own league.

….then do the same with NA 22-24 or suck it up and grab your ankles and hope Anet gives Vaseline finishers to the league winners, so it won’t hurt as bad next season.

Holding hands? Honestly, I don’t even know the names of the two servers we are facing this week it is just one big blob of red, and than another big blob of red. I am kind of ashamed to admit it but, most of the times I am commanding against you two I have to ask allies in TS whose territory we are in when we are in taking your towers. We did have fun wiping a few of the more organized smaller mans of 15+ last night on our BL by taking your SW tower from under you, and then wiping you when you tried to AJ us on the cap again. Double bags for the win. Not going to take our uplevels into battle vs your mega zergs though, it would scare too many of our new players off at a time when we are greatly suffering in population.

Bottom league is going to change the name from Bronze league to Skeleton league, since we can hardly toss together a skeleton crew during prime time. Go Go Anet, all the way to bank, with your kitteny leagues and gem store transfers.

Wow some people are trying too hard to be the king of the bottom feeders. Well king off the remainder of a carcass that anet has left behind of WvW, anyways.

Had a great night resetting GoMs BL. Even got to wipe SF or FC a few times.(whichever zerg that sea of red we face every night this week is). Hope you learned your lesson, If you going to AJ a garrison cap, make sure you don’t become the meat of the sandwich, even if you do have 3x the numbers.

Had what I thought was a great idea. I may be biased so I thought maybe some could give some feeback. My idea to hit both the population imbalance issue (AKA server stacking) and the Kitteny league that we will have to endure for 7+ weeks are below. To the DR that are upset over being steam rolled by numbers alone, suck it up we have the weakest 24 hour coverage in North America.. I don’t see that changing anytime soon.

Pick your fights and enjoy the ones you get that aren’t 30 on 1.

Some folks were upset we lost our keep in EB, I had a blast had to go empty my bags multiple times… so we lost it shrugs well get it back. Don’t worry about points till our coverage improves… instead embrace the fight.

^^ Need more of this. I love the positivity. We just had a great time doing our drunken WvW night On both enemies BL. Even managed to flip Goms Bay and Garrison. Left to do a breakout or two and then came back to wipe up some SF trying to get their SW tower, farmed them had an epic three way and finally capped that tower. Another proud DR drunken wvw night. If we all could play 24/7 we may be able to keep up with the numbers these guys throw at us. But either way its all about the bags.

It isn’t so bad, come out to EB we had some epic battles tonight made both the fergs and tc leave our BL after we reset their side and just about flipped their Garrison. They do tend to protect each other a little much, but hey we can only get better from here. We also took the pressure off our BL and were able to get it all back. Our server was hit hard, Anet dont give a kitten about us or WvW so make the most of it, and have fun. We have some teaching to do and once we get some open ears we will learn you all good. There are plenty of us here willing to help so just ask. Our BL are usually fairly well defended but when we are facing 3 times our numbers from both servers we are going to lose stuff someplace, its just part of the game. Keep on the attack and upgrade the towers. The fergs are usually chicken pooo and run away whenever their 50 man zerg runs into a tower defended by more than 6 people, it really is quiet entertaining. They run around like chickens with their heads cut off. If they ever get organized and get some strats then we will have our hands full. Servers do end up swapping, points as we are lacking in coverage, but the majority on our server are not spies as you think they are. Most are just new so take a deep breath follow a commander and learn some good strats for pwning face.

(2 pages – man this is a boring thread) It was a pleasure fully reseting FC in EB. Would have had AR too, but only got halfway through, FC decided to stop us from taking the AR side of the map and failed themselves. Go figure.

Grab your ankles& prepare for the vaseline finishers. We had a mass exodus on DR a little while ago, WvW is not even worth going to now, just get rolled by overpopulated servers, in our own bracket. I cant wait to go against server rank 13-16. It will be a ghost town.

maybe now that anet has chased all of DR out of wvw with the bloodlust BS, we can get 30 or so people together to get Teq down to 90%. Ya for the updates ever!

world two is not fun anymore, hard to get people interested when you have to spend a good portion of your free time to finish one zone. The regular mode feels like it should be tribulation. So many people laughed and had a good time playing world 1 only to try this and become immensely frustrated. The baubles are a lot more scarce now too, so upgrading even in the easy mode of world 2 takes forever.

Why did they “fix it” Now this is impossible.
