So how is everyone going to be enjoying the upcoming holiday?

Ohio on Uverse. Entirely possible, and most likely my route hops through Chicago as it is a major hub, but not bothering with a tracert at this point.

I had problems updating the entire patch, not just the hotfix. I think it is their auth or update servers

185mb in 35 minutes? Horrible. 99% and it froze with 3 files to go. Well, there is an hour and a half I will never get back. Is this launch day for archeage? I think i have enjoyed dentist visits more than this. If it wasn’t time for bed i would spread some wintersday cheer.

This was the exact target path i used. For some reason it made a frown face. and obviously the beginning part of your file location may be different from mine which is on my D drive. Patch is almost complete here, maybe I was just lucky.

It got my updater loaded and now it is downloading the patch at 100-200 KB/s . Worth a try anyways.

oh and dont use that shortcut to launch your game on a regular basis. In fact you can delete it when you are done.

I think that may have at least got the installer updated – no thanks to anet…

Copy your shortcut and add the startup commands “-authsrv 206.127.159.107 -clientport 80” without the quotes to the end\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe" -authsrv 206.127.159.107 -clientport 80

Launch game with the new shortcut and it worked for me.

Tried the EU server Ip i found on a thread it works at about 30KB/ sec but still way too slow. It eventually goes down, but seems to be going fairly steady now between 5-30 KB/s

Yes can confirm client freezes and i have to shut it down using task manager as well

Woot i made it up to 100 kb /s before it went all the way back down… progress

and yes i tried flushing DNS and no firewalls. Last major patch it worked for me at 11est as i was about to go to bed.

Same here…. I dont think it is on our end. This happened last patch too.

So ever since last patch the patches have had a ridiculous long time to get the smallest information, here. I am stuck now at 3476 KB and 0 KB/s it starts at about 40 KB/s and then gradually slows to nothing now, I have “connection errors detected. retrying….” My connectionis fine and it worked great up until 2 patches ago before it started being slow.

I flushed my DNS and reconnected with no firewalls or anything and all the proper ports are open. I just pulled over 10mb/s from my newsreader post so I dont think this error is on my end you should really check your servers. plus I have been getting all kind of random DC from the game lately. Something is up.

I cant even update it is so slow, it freezes at 0 KB /sec. I finally made it to 3476 KB and dont want to restart but I dont think i have a choice.

Can’t update here either it starts gets to 500 KB and freezes on the update. 0KB/sec for the last 20 minutes. This happened last patch too. What gives Anet?

Lol poor frustrated warrior, can’t kill a little ol’ thief. queque on the forums. Most warriors I engage roaming run away when they get low too, but I dont come cry to the forums. I change my build so its less likely they get away.

Mistforged Hero’s weapons can either be purchased directly for tournament tickets or crafted in the Mystic Forge with:

• 1 Hero’s Weapon (100 tournament tickets)
• 1 Gift of Heroes (200 tournament tickets)

Dear Anet,

Everyone has fought this whole wvw league season 2. And we expect, by putting our time and courage in fighting in wvw, to get some good rewards. But i really don’t see why we can’t purchase Gift of Heroes anymore with badges of honor, only with tokens. The people who have fought and are on 6th place or lower should deserve at least a Mistforged skin. And the one’s who are between the 1st and 5th place should deserve 2 or 3/5 Mistforged hero skins, because we fight in high populated servers and it is always hard to fight against bigger zergs, even blobs… All our time and effort for just one Mistforged Hero Weapon, that would make everyone just angry….

We are a community that loves this game, but if you don’t give a Mistforged Hero weapon to the ones who are placed 6th or lower, there’s something wrong. We all are equal people and everyone should have at least one Mistforged Hero Weapon. By giving a Mistforged Hero Weapon to the ones who are ranked between 1st and 5th place, would lead to jealous and angry people who are placed 6th and 9th while they did an effort too in the league. Stand up for equality please…

Yes please clarify. If we have unopened chest are those going to vanish or do they mean they just won’t be awarding them any longer?

What will become of the armor that we accumulated and crafted?

What is the new reward system, and when is it going to start?, and what is this early start business?

What is going to happen to the stacks of glory boosters that I have, can i trade them in for anything like what you did previously.

We have to have these questions answered to make decisions about what we do with our stuff. The notes left too many questions and did not answer anything important.

I run as a commander with Axe/warhorn – shortbow. I play a regen tank, and rarely go down. Mostly apothecary as a dead commander is no good to the map. It works well for my play style and for roaming. I like the blast finisher fury, might and the speed boost on the warhorn and with sup altruism my troll unguent can add a bit more might for the group. Not much but whatcha going to do with this class right? I suppose my field commanding is my strongest strength.

this is true I had a large number use the f2 skill but not proc the skill, it puts the skill on cooldown too, but no buffs. Anet hates rangers having anything useful it seems.

Warrior is everything a ranger should have been. It also has heavy armor and damage….

The big change for ranger is they are going to change the class name from “ranger” to “petter” or “farmer”. This way when people who are new to the game choose a class they will have a good description of what we actually do. They may also release the new “Swords to Plowshare” ranger elite. Which turns our weapons into mining picks, harvesting sickles and logging axes.

I don’t seem to get anything useful like skulls or bones anymore. just gunk, eggs, feathers, and an occasional plasma.

Has anyone else got a skull after patch?

Just be happy that your ranger pets trigger when you hit f2. Stop making outlandish insightful requests like this.

Seriously? balanced what are you on, and where can i get some. That is like saying Devona’s Rest is a very high population server. You smoke more than Anet does. The game is balanced for the poo of PVP that it has. WvW in Guild Warriors 2 is all about heavies.

A semi solution to an artificially manufactured self created problem, too little too late. Dont care.

This was done to combat the lag, due to anets kitteny game engine registering all those hits really taxed the server and cpu. So in other words to combat the lag caused by having huge zergs, they buffed them. Yes that is about par for the course with Anet, so done with this game.

I laugh a lot, usually at thieves. They are fun to laugh at, mainly because making 13 year olds that think they are god very angry is fun. They usually party invite and give some random excuse, and ask me where I stole my rank, etc etc. making it even better.

I also laugh when you scaredy cats have numbers on us and run back to your fortifications, instead of fighting in the open field. Something I picked up from fighting IoJ (the king of this strat) back in the day.

All in all it is just a game suck it up and put your big girl panties on. Hit the respawn and get them back. Take this kitten way to serious. have a /laugh on me.

DR is still High, it varies different times of the day, never seen us very high, and I think Anet is using all the idle accounts as a metric because everywhere I look in PvE it is an absolute ghost town. You could walk around in orr for days on end and never meet another soul

Yes! and thank you for a well done video. I don’t ever see guesting as being a viable wvw option, but the first part of the video illustrates much of what I was thinking when developing this idea. Teams to mix it up some, reduce the stacking, and keep things interesting.

Doh, to the point about 15 -18 not having teamates. I never made a full team league flow chart, but this video shows how it could work fairly well.

I think you are loosing the point of the thread.

The statement is that World vs. World match-ups are horribly unbalanced, so much that:

• Server A has double the score servers B & C have together.
  This results in:
  - Server C/B not playing at all cause they get rolled over by blobs.
  - Decent WvW players on A decide not to play either because there’s no real competition.

OR

• Sever A & B individually have triple the score server C has.
  This results in:
  - People on server C sitting out the week in PvE
  - People on servers A & B attacking server C and not eachother
  - Decent WvW players on servers A & B not playing again.

FIX IT ALREADY ARENANET!
