Guild Wars 2

Hey fellow warriors I just got the Full exotic AC set of armor with all runes of the soldier (due to my tank build). But I cannot stand the way it looks! I see other 80 wars running around in epic looking armor that has glowing parts and flames and etc……What do I need to do for this? I know its silly but I am all about the cosmetic of my toon lol

Hey fellow warriors. Thanks for clicking on the thread. I just have questions on what to do at 80. I have my full set of ascalonian armor with all runes of the soldier as I run a Hammer bunker shout build for dungeons and such. But what is the next thing I should do to get better armor and such? Just a little confused on what to do to improve my gear. Thanks for your time

Hey fellow warriors ….I just hit my first 80 toon with my Sylvari Warrior tonight! I have a simple question really. I am familiar will all warrior builds for different situations as I have tested them while leveling and WvW and sPvP. How MUCH exact healing does the trait ’Adrenal Health" Tick for while your adrenaline is full? And is the trait worth it for a bunker build (Hammer-mace-mace)?

What are you talking about? The necro makes life hell for another player. He might not get the burst dmg or burst heal that some classes have but that necro will make you blow cooldowns trying to get off all these conditions they KEEP placing on you no matter what! Plus you are talking about dedicated healers or dps’ers in guild wars 2?

I love it when people get on forums and yell….Look at me I have played every mmo since Everquest and I have all level capped toons across the board. There are always people like you who when they dont see major crits on their screen with a certain class they get upset with the class. Go back to playing WoW OP if you want to feel so distinguished in a party or guild.

Unless you are using a Hammer/mace-mace build drop your shouts for PvE. Place 30 points in precision and the rest in power. Get signet traits like…“For how ever many signets you have passive you gain {this much} precision” Equip nothing but signets to your 6-10 slot skills. You could maybe drop one for a skill you have fun with. In PvE its kill before you are killed. Even pop in endure pain if u need it for a oh crap button. Equip the Greatsword and either axe-axe or rifle. You could even go hammer/mace-mace build with the healing shouts BUT you will kill alot slower but have more cc ability.

My opinion may not mater much seeing as how my warrior is only level 63 and he is my first 80. Actually though I am a person that played each class AT LEAST until all weapon slot were available and etc…Because I had a hard time choosing what class to play. In most games I choose a caster type class that keeps at range but for GW2 I chose a warrior because its simple….He is alot of fun! He can be a PvE powerhouse when you put traits into power and precision. The crit hits are just nasty! In WvWvW I play a rifle build for run and gun type of play. In sPvP I am using a hammer/mace/mace build with a shout healing build so he is like a tank/bunker for defending points and such. Actually the hammer build has worked well in out tanking some of my guardian friends in dungeons! So anyway I may be biased but if you like smacking people in the face hard and firing a rifle then go WAR. Just play what is fun for YOU not what every one says about a certain class being OP or UP.

Guys thanks so much for all the advice. I think that ^ is what I will do. I will slowly transition into this type of play style. My dungeon experience has been a mixed bag. Most of the time my guild friends who are 80 run me through and for me to keep up I keep up I use a shield mace and swiftness abilities and mitigation skills like endure pain and I shout to buff them. B t holy crap I die a lot in PUG group dungeons. I am guessing this is normal?

Hey guys thanks for clicking on the topic. I am a fairly new warrior leveling my first 80 as a warrior. He is level 54. I am really having no problem doing hearts and PvE and such as I use the simple signet passive crit and power build straight glass cannon. But I am starting to do dungeon alot with the guild and use the mace/shield-Rifle combo.

My main question is what is a good tanky “Dont Die” build that you warrior vets use in dungeons? I planned on using the shouts heal traits at 60 and using hammer maybe? Anyway figured if I have this problem other may have it also….Thoughts?

I am leveling a warrior as we speak as my first 80. I have many other classes to minimal levels to feel them out. I love my WAR! He is level 53 and I am having a blast with different builds for different circumstances (WvW,,,PvP….PvE etc…)

I loved your Captain Hammer build I am using it now in game and loving it. Some of the fights are just hilarious! Good vids guys!!!

Is there still room in guild? I am level 30 warrior well on his way to 80 fast. Do you guys use any voice service?

Hey guys I play a lot and was wanting to join a active PVE/PVP guild that uses some sort of voice chat or is just active.

Mystiq out of curiosity what did you bind your element changes to? Also I am level 17 and putting alot of points into air for the crit and precision and it works well so far but I have points in fire to for power. After 20 I will probably do what shockwave said and go into arcane more and just change as I see needed as I am playing.

Guys this was GREAT advice and I am having moments where i am actually learning the synergy between changing attunements as to what spells work well with each other. Thanks for the quick responses and help and time. Great community here and will be letting you know how I get along. Level 17 as of right now and using scepter/dagger or D/D and its great. I keep a staff for some purposes but mostly running in with some air then changing to earth so on to keep stuns up and dmg going. Again I am sure alot of newbies to ele will appreciate this. I did!

I have scoured the net and forums galore to find info on leveling an ele, but most times I get guides on end game pvp or WvWvW builds that are already 80. Is power>prec? And I realize there is a learning curve to the class, which is why I love the class, but as far as traits for pve and leveling what should be the case? Thanks to all the ele community for some answers. Or maybe link up some good vids or guidelines or tips on leveling traits and stacking stats.
