As I did in the thread in the Lore section, my post was to get people thinking a little deeper than just Abaddon, as in location, perhaps, meaning, etc. It’s quite possible, say 99% that it is Abaddon’s statue…in a forgotten temple in the middle of the Maguuma Jungle, hidden for centuries.

I personally think this is a temple to abaddon built by the mursaat ( you know that race that was particularly gifted with MAGIC, the thing abaddon released into the world)
so i think we are going to visit a city of mursaat
as well as that the temple surrounding the statue looks either maintained or at least untouched
so potentially its a temple built out of phase by the mursaat and we get to see this glorius city of the mursaat

or perhaps maybe a temple built to the god of magic where a bloodstone is kept/once was kept/once was used/once was found

yes true i think i did mean arah but it seemed to me like the city more orr (HAHAHA im so funny) less encompassed the entire landmass that was/is orr

I was under the impression that ther was still a fair bit under water but with that i may be wrong but im asking about the parts that have surfaced
because while in some places it looks like we are running on the ground (where you see stairs and such) but at other times your running on broken domes which were once roofs

it could be a case of oh the roof collapsed and is now on the ground but id imagine there would be more rubble if an entire building collapsed

and then there is the concept art for the city
it looks like very tall buildings with gardens and pathways on the roofs
so could we actually be just running on sand and acumulated dirt ect and on the tops of these buildings?

Push it up a few hours and other people might be in the same boat. All we can do is sit and wait. Then buy a literal ton of candy corn to get fat off.

while i do also like the idea of adding scarlets parts to the city… from a lore perspective it wouldnt seem right using parts of a ship that killed hundreds of people in the attack on the very city you are rebuilding… i dunno just seems a bit off

asking questions that will be answered later
whereas all the players see it as the end of the “book” cause alot of them have finished the campeign

and for gw1 players at least we have been waiting a loooooooooong time for some of these answers

That’s a good interpretation, and probably true.

One could say we’re in the second book. The first being Prophecies to Nightfall, the second beginning with Eye of the North (the prologue). The issue is, as you said, we don’t know how long the book is. And at the rate it is going, it’ll be like we’re at the beginning of the book still for another year or two, making it a way too long book. Or even book series, but in such a scenario if feels like we’re skipping the fulfilling conclusion of the earlier books as we go into the next one. Kind of like if we look at Eye of the North as the prologue and Personal Story as the main book, we got to the end of the first book – some answers but many more questions; Season 1 would be like half a book, we never really got a fulfilling conclusion to it – yes, Scarlet died and we found out she was working for Mordremoth, but all the other things, her armies, herself, it’s all missing. Some got brought about in Season 2 – far too late, if you ask me, which really just resulted in a “great, more Scarlet -.-” from a lot of my friends – but only a slim few.And now we’re at the beginning of our fourth book, but no clue how far into the book we are.

Oddly enough, my mesmer has (in RP) addressed part of the reason for this. So, here’s how she would explain it.

iv never thought of mesmers as manifesting illusions into real things (i imagine only the most powerful mesmers can do this?) its really cool

well i know in the case of the countess Anise that her looks are an illusion or have definitely been altered because in one of the personal story missions my character starts asking her about mesmers and then says hmmm i wonder how old you really are and then she snaps at him

so i think its the fact that mesmers very rarely if ever actually look like they do in reality

While I agree that the workshop was needed to give us some more insight into her (for better or the worse), it is again too late… something that becomes a theme with Guild Wars 2 in general sadly

Unless she has more depth than we ever knew…

its just speculation but in my opinion there is still more to Scarlets story that we are yet to find out. Though the character may be dead her story is not.
im under the impression that she was infact good and that this entire time she was working on a way to deafeat the elder dragons
now when i say she was good i mean that siera was good (scarlets name beforehand)
then she was corrupted and Scarlet braiar came into being
but siera fought (a losing battle) against this corruption and essentially became two people
all the times we see her attacking and destroying it is Scarlet that is in control (by the end she is fully under the influence of mordy)
and perhaps when siera had more control she was working towards the destruction of mordremoth
perhaps siera had a plan laid out… she knew she was corrupted and that it was only a matter of time before she was no more…
what if Siera, had the knowledge of what scarlet and mordremoth where up to and was trying to stop the big thing at the end rather than the (in comparrison) small amounts of lives lost in those smaller attacks.
who knows maybe less lives were lost cause of Siera’s actions

again just speculation but something to think about

why did the probes self destruct?

so scarlet’s probes have a bit of dialog when you interact with it,
something along the lines of it looks like it self destructed.

why would she self destruct the probes when she could have caused more damage and fear with them up?

this just further adds to my theory that she was fighting the corruption the whole time and that she was working towards a way to stop his inluance.

Ok….so you got bored, maybe you will return later, maybe not. Till then, Archeage sea battles are kinda good, if you wanna play for that, even the mechanics are not that good compared to GW2, Tera, etc. You can try many other games tough, deppends on your preferences, you want graphics? Archeage, Tera, Vindictus, TESO, Black Desert, you want gameplay? Then EVE online, Cabal, Vindictus, Rift, etc. You want less lags? Then games that are optimized and not based on horde of players.
P.S: Start citizen will be released next year.

What kinds of alts do you have? Maybe shake things up by starting a race/class/gender combination you’ve never tried. If you haven’t played an asura yet, make sure to make one, seeing big ears flopping up and down while you play makes a huge difference .

Seriously, I’ve got 10 characters at lvl 80 already, and am currently leveling two more, with a few more waiting around lvl 20 for me to get around to playing them, and each character has their own personality and evolves differently as I go through the game.

Try not to play “efficiently” or goal-oriented, but just go out and try to see the world through your characters eyes, and let the game take you through the world organically. Poke your (character’s) nose into every hidden cave or valley you come across, just to find what’s in there. Let yourself be rewarded by seeing places and creatures you hadn’t met before, rather than by how much coin you can pilfer from their corpses.

Try to find fun in every step along the way rather than following a set goal. The world of Tyria is vast, and if you set your mind to it you can enjoy it endlessly without worrying about “what to do next”. There’ll always be something to do around the next corner.

As other said I suggest playing other games. I have 5 games installed currently on the computer (GW2, League of Legends, Hearthstone, Archage, Counter Strike: Global Offensive) and I still get bored sometimes. If you find yourself bored with all multiplayer games perhaps take a break and finish some singleplayer games. When I got sick of GW I played like all the Assassin Creeds and it was very entertaining expirience. Other than that, maybe try doing some other stuff, I love watching series, animes in free time, maybe workout or something. There is too much stuff to do in life, with not enough time.

I tried it in beta but to me it just felt clunky and unrefined.
i think its partly the fact that when casting you cant move

Right now I switch to firefall , loving the fresh new gameplay and different playstyle and is free 2 play so cant ask for more. I only log to GW2 when a new story event is up finish it and back again to a different MMO,

Out side of living story gw2 gameplay is like a theme park nothing changes and everything gets old and boring

i think thats because all maps feel self contained.
theres no reason to move to another map other than
a: Your bored of the area
b:your doing world completion and this maps done
or
c: youv finished the personal story in this area

i dunno i just feel bored playing this game
I want to continue playing cause its fun but the boring bit is the fact that theres nothing to do

The gameplay is fantastic and ruined alot of other mmos for me
but it feels like for an mmo the content is lacking
