how does a quaggan bacon?
i mean it sounds delicious but im not sure i understand
I would call the whole sylvari business a sieve cuz it’s filled with holes, the plot kind.
no silly thats just the caterpillars eating away at the pale tree.
well we dont necisarily know if they are plot holes or if some of them may be sorted in HoT
@cureforliving but they were mates whats a… horsie ride between mates
@BuddhaKelks lol was her name varuka by any chance
So Ronnan and Ventari were really good friends for a long time… do you think he ever road Ventari?
I mean that would be one awkward question…
“Hey Ventari?”asks Ronnan
“Yes Ronnan?” Ventari replies
“well we’ve been walking for a long time now, and im getting quite tired…”
“would you like to set up camp?” Ventari interjects
“well no not quite…”Ronnan stammers
“what is it?”Ventari asks politely
“can… can i ride you?”
had to of happened at some point right?
fingers crossed we hear back this time haha
Everyone seems to forget:
The main key to the design was developing an obvious anatomy that clearly described the race as plant rather than an offshoot of human. However, because the race tightly relates to the essence of human due to the Pale Tree’s influences from Ronan, the overall form has a human silhouette. But if you look more closely, you’ll see the forms are really quite alien. They are a collection of abstract notions the Pale Tree had about what made up the human, as she really only saw the surface. They are a tree’s interpretation of humans.

The mystery of their appearance was answered, long ago.
well still this could stand i mean he influanced the sylvari by planting the seed where he did. I mean it still is a little bit vauge
very interesting actually
at first i wasnt gonna read cause i thought it sounded silly but u got me with the druid part
however i dont think it was planned by mordy just because the seeds were in a completly different location and were brought there by a human (havnt see mord be able to corrupt humans yet)(meaning he wasn’t corrupted)and the druid this is the reason for the dream and why the soundless sylvari dont have the dream.
hmmm now the more i think about it it makes sense
i mean malyk or howerver its spelt(that random sylvari we once met that said he didnt remember a dream) could have been an agent of mord at that time scouting for the missing sylvari tree or whatever and he finds it but notices the syvari arnt acting how they are supposed to so he plays along.
just an idea to add to yours^^
Okay, working through the various discussion elements raised:
- I don’t think it’s actually likely that this cave is the one Ronan entered, given that Ronan’s story didn’t mention having to interact with forgotten magics to enter. It’s possible, however, that the door was placed as a security measure after the Forgotten discovered that someone had stolen a seed from there. It’s also possible that Ronan came in through another entrance (the golden archway).
i dont believe that the forgotten were around anymore when the seeds were taken.
also i believe that the gold of that cave is very important, i think perhaps a spell was cast to convert the entire area to gold to prevent anything growing in that area (mordrem vines and such) and i think when they did the spell they had made sure the seeds where put in the middle to also be turned to gold but it may have not worked on the seeds properly(may have just coated them in gold perhaps even preserved the seeds)and then ronnan breaks into this place and finds a wondrous cave made of gold then he sees these huge hunks of gold that are perfect size to carry out of the cave (everything else looks kind of attatched physically(plants planted in gold and turned to gold would be hard to uproot)) Ronan then takes the seeds away but when he sits down to inspect the gold he “borrowed” from the cave he realises that its not actualy gold and then the story continues how we know it. basically in the end ronnan was only looking for riches when he found the seedstldr:cave and seeds were attempted to be turned to gold by forgotten or mursaat to stop jungle dragon. Ronan mistakenly steals seeds because he thinks they are made of gold
If he thought the seed was made of gold, why would he plant it? I can’t believe he thought the seeds were made of gold. Would you try to plant a gold seed?
i dunno i imagin him sitting by the river examining it and then he realises it isnt actualy gold and then the story continues from there
but he could equally as likely taken to market and be denied were upon he recognises its just a gold covered seed

There’s no evidence that this is the right cave, I’m not saying it isn’t the same cave, just that there’s really no evidence to support that this is anything more than the location that Wynne told Caithe her secret.
Now about this cave, why did the seal prevent us from entering, but not Caithe and Wynne? We get through this forgotten seal only to find that someone has been camping out! Why weren’t Caithe, Faolain, and Wynne locked out? Was the seal put on since Caithe killed Wynne, or was it always there?
it may or may not but think about the significance of it i mean if wynne had seen the origins of the sylvari in the dream perhaps she saw the cave and hence were she went to to try and figure things out
and as for the crest
who says they need one?
what if the seeds were cleansed(or enchanted or something) by the forgotten before being placed in the cave
could this potential give a sort of protection… and then this idea sorta continues into why our sylvari arnt automatically bad perhaps its some sort of ritual like what happened to glint perhaps different
however the protection/cleansing gets weaker as the generations go on (why we as sylvari cant enter the cave right away)
it dosnt really make sense that caith and folain were able to enter as well but this would explain how
yea i mean the entire area has changed over the last 250 years whos to say that there isnt a long care leading into this cavern i mean that would still make sense lore wise
we should just totes do what they did in factions.
lets petrify the forest and turn the sea to jade, that way we can kill two monstrous bird-dragons at once

interesting
will check back if i find more info
i believe it has to have something to do with the imbuing of souls into blades that we have been hearing so much about
and i think that perhaps the sword has the “soul” of a elder dragon or lieutenant or perhaps a portion of there power (hence the dragon design maybe)
will be cool if the soul imbuing thing is tied in
but yea for sure it sohothin or magdar
id also say the fact that it was a giant secret was part of the reason it is said that Riannoc was the first
wayne for all the sylvari knew had gone off somewhere and perhaps her dream beconed her to somewhere else(tho we know the truth now) this could have been an easy assumption to make for the other sylvari
But the secret doesn’t seem to be Wynne’s death – Faolain knew that Wynne was killed by Caithe’s hands. Caithe said that very act made Faolain think Caithe was like her and was why she continues trying to draw Caithe to the Nightmare.
Faolain would not be quiet about that. Especially not to her Courtiers, who in turn would not be quiet to non-Courtiers they taunt. Especially if it wasn’t common knowledge amongst sylvari. How better to demoralize your enemy than to say one of their figureheads is just as evil as the leader of the Nightmare Court?
I suspect Wynne’s murder by Caithe is simply an “unspoken truth” amongst sylvari. Not known by everyone, but those who do know, don’t think it’s important to dwell upon.
true but having the blackmail is a great reason also. As well as the fact that they still do love each other however there view points different slightly.
for me even after a relationship i would never spread around another s secrets, and if foalain had any love for caith left she would not want to see her in pain (all she wants is for caith to join her in nightmare)
also the last image with the B team makes me think we will be getting canach on the team
That’s been predicted since Season 1, due to the absence of a Sylvari biconic. I’m more surprised it took this long.
yea i know but i thought they may decide against it to try and break the mold a bit
also the last image with the B team makes me think we will be getting canach on the team
so this is just theorizing on the things that may come to pass in the next season or expation.
I was thinking about that mursaat image and the voiceover and to me it sounds like we are gonna try and get sylvari cleansed ( like glint )
also magdar and sohothin could be vitally important as there has been alot of ingame hints and such about the imbuing of souls into swords.
i was thinking perhaps these swords are so powerful and such because the souls in them were elder dragon souls or lutenint soul or something equally powerful as a way to cotain the magic and stop it going to the dragon again
there is more but im drawing a blank while writting lol so ill add to it as i think of more
id also say the fact that it was a giant secret was part of the reason it is said that Riannoc was the first
wayne for all the sylvari knew had gone off somewhere and perhaps her dream beconed her to somewhere else(tho we know the truth now) this could have been an easy assumption to make for the other sylvari
In light of recent events, this tale raises some questions:
- Is the sealed cavern with Caithe’s memory seed the very same cave? Arbor bay to beneath the Mamnoon Lagoon/Sage Lands is quite a distance. And if so, why does opening it ward off the Mordrem, when the seeds were guarded by Mordrem? Or was that the Forgotten magic, since the Shadow of the Dragon has no problem once inside.
- What happened to the other seeds? This is at least partially answered by the presence of Malyck, answered below.
- What are the golden ruins in the sealed cavern? The cavern was sealed by Forgotten magic, so it would suggest that they are the originators of these structures, but we’ve never seen Forgotten architecture before so we cannot confirm this.
My fun theory means that it is the same cave or at least similar
well imagine you had these seeds from an elder dragon, they will grow into thousands of minions unless you do something with them fast however u cant just leave them because if they touch ground(?or water? not sure how it work with sylvari seeds)
it would start to grow now in order to protect everyone (the forgotten)
may have turne the entire area to gold so that nothing can grow there i mean what better play to hide from the growth and life dragon that to be somewhere devoid of life and growth (they may have also cleansed the seeds which could explain sylvaris peaceful behavior up till now) infact the gold of the cave may have been what separated the influence of the dragon from the seeds.
trahearn didnt know that he was a minion of mordy
only wayne caithe and pale mother knew… and the dragon… but duh
now this is just my opinion
but i think that it would depend on whether that the death of the high ranking court member could be used as an excuse to further ones goals.
say a lower court member blames it on someone slightly higher ranking than them they would then be able to go and attempt to kill them and would face no punishment if they succeeded
tldr
only if they had something to gain from “avenging” the death of that court member
-_- i had said the question had grey areas
it is just in my opinion i guess that kormi would do “the Just thing” the right thing by the laws standards
and dwayna would do “the Right thing” the right thing by humanitarian standards (feeding the poor healing the sick ect)
well fine ill word it this way.
a child is caught stealing bread and the punishment is imprisonment.
however the child is a poor orphan with a young brother and sister (street children)
do you carry out the task? Justice above all else. the child must learn after all.
or do you pay for the food he stole and take them to an orphanage. Dwayna has mercy
no i understand both have grey areas but the question isnt meant to be 100% solid its just meant to give you an idea of the attributes associated with worshipers of that particular god
my comment should of had the question if justice dictated that a child be killed would you spare that child or kill it
if u kill the child kormir is for you!
if you spare the child and try to teach them dwayna is for you!
the way i see it is followers of kormir are all about justice (basically like a peacemaker(i see this as i more merciless type of person like justice above all else))
and followers are all bout healing the sick and being generally kind towards fellow man.
so its sotra like does he want to be a kind and caring or strict justice
i really love my mesmer
playing around with the clones is really fun to heh
really usefull aswell if ur not want a fight and are just running place, u can trait to make a clone when u dodge and then sick it on whatevers attacking u and keep running
what if we tipped our weapons in bloodstone dust so the blood of our enemies activates the bloodstone covering the weapon and that somehow feeds back to us and gives us kill streak sorta based boosts
good answer heh
in my mind im just like surely people cant be this dumb
alasheh thanks for the reply
Unfortunately they can.
omg lol
really… like… wow
i have never seen someone as…
yep okay lol u guys win people are kittening idiots
im just saying its unnecisary to create 10 of the same topic
and its really annoying when there is no decent search system on the forums
Welcome to the internet.
More like welcome to life. You can check out Fox News for live action examples.
lol i live in nz but iv heard how terrible that … channel/show/soap opera can be
Welcome to the internet.
good point actually heh
still tho it dosnt have to be this way right?Yes, it does. No matter how irrational, nonsensical, or downright self-contradictory an opinion someone might hold, someone else shares it. The internet allows all of these precious little snowflakes to find each other and roll up into a big ball of “justification for wholesale misanthropy”, which then bashes itself to bits against the other snowball that feels the opposite way.
that is a good way to say it heh
i know but i still just wish there was less rage
These irrtational people (in your opinion) are completely rational in their own opinion.
You have to look at it on the flip side. These people that you’re arguing against could post the exact same thread as this, with you in mind :P
Learn that the vast majority of people in this world will not have their opinion swayed by somebody with the opposing opinion, with or without relevant and valid evidence.
Often they will not go back on themselves because they honestly believe that their evidence/experiences are “more true” than yours, or will simply not admit that they’re wrong because they feel that giving in will tarnish their ego.
heh yea i get people that have different opinions to me im fine with them heh
i have no problem being wrong or seeing someone who disagrees with me
however recently alot of posts seem to be more attacking the company and other people that post than actually adding anything relevent to the conversation
and then there are the ones that just dont stop posting the same topic multiple times(making the problem potentialy seem bigger than it is)
and it kind of skews what seems important to people
i mean i see a bunch of diffferent topics by different people but then there are some that are repeated over and over again by the same person
What do you do when someone is consistently “screaming” about there topic and dosnt understand rational thought and then does it all over again in every related topic
followed by creating new topics and making the problem as a whole seem much much larger than it is.ignorance frustrates me and there is alot of it on the forums
(i do understand im not always right btw, i know when to shut up heh)
Unfortunately, rationality seems to fall deaf on their ears. Yes, we all know the people you speak of. At this point, I recommend you report them if you feel they’re out of line.
Unfortunately, again, I get the impression the moderators are understaffed with the holidays right now. So we’re seeing stuff that would normally get the chopping block pretty instantly.
For now, ignore them if they frustrate you. Spinning your wheels isn’t worth it. I have a list of names I now ignore when I see their names. That list grows daily. But that’s the nature of forums.
And, as Targren correctly points out, life on the Internet for that matter.
yea ignoring them is what iv been tryin to do but as of late the irrational seems to be outweighing the rational heh
and yea your probly right about the xmas break thing
Wait for Gaile to close their threads
, but yea I know what you mean, some people just create one thread after another about this or that, mounts, expansions, etc etc. Best thing you can do is find a link to a larger existing thread and put it in their post, and eventually it will be closed because its repititive and existing threads exist on the subject.
good answer heh
in my mind im just like surely people cant be this dumb
alas
heh thanks for the reply

that was uncalled for

its not bad i mean we still get snow just not at chistmas lol
i live in New Zealand and im happy our Christmas is getting some love
our Christmas is always during summer and alot of us go to the beach on Christmas day to try out our new gifts… if only i could get a mini fahren in real life
Their orphanage will probably burn down soon anyway.
Merry Winters day kids
guess what Santa brought you this year?
…
FLAMES!
i got you all flames! and death!
now dont be greedy kids you will all get your presents…
courtesy of peter
its a Winters day miracle.
isnt that kind of awesome in its own way though?
you can terrify your enemies into submision with the avatars thousand yard “mums furious” stare
OMG what if they actualy put polymock in the game
this could be the start of something magical
that would be the coolest minipet ever!
i dont care who its is just give me a conga line of things in bikinis haha
I know she’s a little under the weather from the events in the living story, but the Avatar of the Pale Tree miniature looks like a stroke victim. She never blinks and her facial muscles are completely static.
I was hoping for elegant when I purchased this mini, but it’s startlingly terrifying as released. Disappointed, and I have a little buyer’s remorse.
ask to exchange it for the faren that farts glitter
oh please we need to see more skin
we need a skrit in a bikini
and braham in just a kilt ^^
hate to bring this up but i know they have been saying they have been working on something big for a long time now…
what if its…
LS season 1 but re-playable
i mean it would make sense they did say they were working on it
every LS is designed so you are able to play it alone or with friends
so far iv managed to do all of them
not gonna lie i died a few times so some of the took me a little while but in my mind thats the best bit i dont want super easy content where i kill every enemy the first time i see them by repeatedly pressing 1
and as for FOM
while i loved the living story content i kinda want it to stay there.
i would love it if the “re-skinned” some of the LS stuff ( like the ones u mentioned)
and put them out there as there own little stories but thats unlikely as they sorta said they are more or less done with dungeons for now
and as for paying for LS
u see it as a way to make money and while thats true its a way to create a more active player base so that when certain people cant complete a LS episode by themselves they have someone else to complete it with.
in a world where you could access it at any time you would be less inclined to log in every couple of weeks and more likey to wait until the season is over and then sorta binge game all the eps at once meaning that through out the whole season the game is less populated which in turn makes people think hmmm there arnt very many people on maybe ill wait till the seasons over like everyone else
its kind of a self perpetuating cycle that would lead to a much smaller player base
i get its annoying to pay for eps, i havnt had to yet because iv manged to log on at least once during the two weeks that they are live for free( not saying everyone can or anything just merely stating i have) and 200 gems is not alot really im not sure of the conversion rate but most players around level 80 should be able to afford that
i mean most players forget they have a bunch of mats in there bank they can sell and if they dont they have probly used them to make something and would probly understand how to make more gold( i am assuming here but where there is a will there is a way )you shouldnt really ever need to pay real money for the eps though in saying that there are still people who will need to and i do understand that it does suck for them but in the end its leading to a denser population in game and ultimately a better game.
this aint an attack or anything just my opinions ^^
sorry was drunk when writing topic but let me go deeper to the point
rata sum:
go under surface. its 3rd map from top (at world map) the place with bank, crafting stations, black lion npcs. then you see those huge holes at sides of the floor. jump there. you discover a vista and alot of empty space with nothing interesting in there.
i meant to say, put some stuff there. something interesting.lion arch:
just slam that public sauna somewhere there and fix ityes im nicer when im drunk
oh yea i toatally agree with that rata sum thing (perhaps like a giant magitech engine type thing that is keeping rata sum afloat)
there is so much you could do with that city
as for lions arch
should put the sauna on the beach where that bar was (assuming it gets re built the same way)
that way u get drinks nice views and you can listen to the gentle waves lapping on the shore(or not so gentle if theres another tsunami)
