T4 is 500 gems vs 1800 for higher tiers. what more encouragement do lemmings need? we all know 80% of NA are fairweathers, there’s prolly only 1 guild per server or tier even that raids more when they are losing.

That’s why we’re all applying for Maguuman Visas. Still waiting on President Xushin to approve.

Late NA impromptu Reset Raid: Cuz we matched up against old friends 02/03/2017 (we normally don’t raid reset) would like to thank [wolf] and team jaja [SOG] for filling in a few guards to make the squad 25 with at least 1 stab.

General Rule:

3) PPK over PPT, we will defend t3 structures to best of our capability but limited with amount of players we have.

Commander Tatergotapony will give a pony to all girls that transfer. Our sea players are mainly SG/Malay/Thai based but all welcome. Weebos and all.

Fix the lag first. helps when the rams actually can hit the gate.

Anet can’t balance fairweathers. population is there but only when X server is winning. Can break it down to scrims to look. When CD is winning fights there’s a map queue. When there’s an unknown tag, or ranger danger tag. It’s prolly outmanned.

Can break it down from higher tiers too. FA outmanned when they got steamrolled map queue vs map queue, now they got 4 queues on reset. BG/TC same phenomena. When Mag steamrolls them, it’s outmanned. When they drop to t2 and steamroll others. people can’t get on the map to compliment each other how wonderful they are at ktraining.

Player mentality is about looking for easiest wins. Anet can’t fix that. players have to fix that. how many guilds still comp out and train?

World linking has done nothing to help population balance. It’s worse than ever. Look at NA T4—WTF is FA doing in there? And for the second week in a row? People on the other servers are quitting left and right because they just have no ****ing chance against those numbers.

Anet, are you trying to kill your own game? Why?

FA late NA has good variety of fights. don’t look at it from a tier or server perspective. and wvw becomes much easier to handle. Don’t mind them rotating down here. Every server in every tier can queue NA prime. It’s just relative if there’s a competent tag on or if the 4 tags on EBG know how to fight back. Which is something you don’t see taken seriously from CD links. SF has a JOC group that can queue a map, 4/5 tags. but 3/4 tags run on sight, the other one stacks up and just gets rolled.

Just roll the servers around so the guilds have someone to fight. you’ll learn which ones are trash right away as they fade when they are losing the coverage wars in which they have no control over the 20 hours they don’t raid.

Then again I’m all for a guild based system. Where the server is just a base of operations. Then recruit allied guilds or whatever you want to call them to raid alongside that and enjoy raiding with you. Keep it fresh.

I would not go with CD! Been there, and hated it. Most of the population of CD transferred there for easy wins when they had a 4 server team, and since they went to a regular 3 server team, they have not won anything. Bigtime bandwagon server where some guilds abandoned there home server for the 4 server mega stupidity.

Better off with the other options IMO. I have had a great time playing with EBay, SF, NSP and HoD…but I think NSP is high pop now. I’m with DH, and as much as I would like to promote DH, we lost many guilds after the team merges. However, with the way many guilds etc. go, DH may become the go to server this quarter because of our team up with FA. Reality is that transfers each rematch/merge is one main thing that is killing WvW, and some of the guilds I used to run with in DH that left for the easy wins I find sad.

As I said, CD was a go to point when they had 4 server team, but without a win since stripped of their mega server status, nothing, and many regret the server switch since.

I also find it humorous when a few members try to call CD “Christian Decency”. That is a whole other rant that is inappropriate IMO for the forums. So stay away from CD, it has more poison than greatness in my experience.

I think every CD guild that was part of the 4 server bandwagon is still here. At least all the major ones. We are a Christian server? I thought Maguuma already took that?

And all the guilds that were on 1/3 linked servers and hoping to be linked in T1 and part of the circus is continuing on their merry way as a fight guild that’s only looking for ez wins.

But blackmac has a good point. Look for a guild to play with to call friends. Don’t look at the server. Look for the playstyle that fits you. servers are pretty much slowly being shattered and focusing around the guild and the allies that run with it. Most hardcore wvwers have come to the reality, that not 1 tier has better players than others with the links. It’s just which guild is better than others.

would agree with slippy. flavor of the month is currently SBI. But as i said before, if you are looking for a true wvw experience. Find a guild that raids in your tz. The linkings allow us to fight every server from t2-t4. VII personally is only looking for match variety and potato farming anyone that steps into our tz. We take our losses with stride and look to improve. The linkings have also shattered the perception that higher tiers=better guilds/players.

We would welcome some [Time] videos of getting blobbed down. To be fair you should post a whole week’s worth of raids of when someone fights back and when there’s noone fighting back. That video Ni In posted up is just one of many sustained fights. It’s not even a whole raid. That is us as a guild showing up even during losses, hungering for those kind of fights.

If you are not interested in those kinds of fights. I do wish you well on HOD

Update: We are potato farming our way to ultimate dominator for 2017. Doesn’t matter which tier or what the score is. We raid for the only AP that matters in this game. Please be prepare to gear up and use voice coms. We have a trial period to see those hungry to fight and learn.

watching new players get downed by lord aoe is part of my favorite smc past time. mechanic working as intended.

CD is potato farming server. we don’t raid more or less. we sit in smc and farm potatoes. So when the guilds raid there will be plenty of action. When they don’t, you’ll have to learn spanish and follow SF. AR was linked with us before, they were quite friendly with us. The few METL and ALS guild guys we met.

HOD is rumored to be losing guilds, although not confirmed.

just bring something relevant to wvw and you’ll be fine on CD. excludes: vault thieves and bristleback rangers in a zerg. but they be fine if u run around smacking scrubs in a camp.

Some of the more laid back guilds in wvw on CD: None of the guilds raid more than 15hrs/week i think.

the 3rd floor mortars are more of a problem than the inner canon. the smc lord is awesome with iron guards. greatest potato farm in game.

HOD sea can queue maps when there’s no resistance. HOD sea is only outmanned when someone fights back.

Before anyone continues, OP is from SF, thus he is complaining about CD and IOJ, that they are linked with dead servers.

Personally, I think CD link is not dead but rather, inconsistent in their numbers due to lack of consistent commanders. In fact, CD links actually has more NA guilds than HOD links. Also, CD links has more SEA guilds than HOD too. Finally, FA link has better coverage and numbers when compared to their opponents. The only timezone FA is inferior is early EU.

Would agree, CD linkup is not dead. We can queue a map on most time zones depending on the commander. CD players will rarely try to follow SF tags. Most will follow out of curiosity but once they realize its a ranger/mesmer/condi ele/ or whatever bright idea SF has conjured up. We just kinda log off.

The IOJ tags from QQ/AMOK have been fun to follow. They can actually push and not die.

Secondly, CD has 1 sea guild which is VII"s sea division. That is relatively new. HOD has the mighty Time/WOR/etc ready to ktrain at a moment’s notice.

server transfers are pretty much free if you can sell a name for yourself. servers will buy guilds or pay a portion at the least. WvW guilds that are some what competent and effective will transfer players they think are a right fit. Just need to talk to the right people in the guild so they can get the memo to the higher ups.

War chests have been server wide and now guild wide.

Well Anet has done went and screwed the WvW players again. The linking is working well for the T1 and T2 servers but is still punishing the lower Tier servers. Looks like Anet will be losing yet more WvW players that seem to be moving on to other games.
Four years and Anet still just can’t get WvW right.

2-1-1 is fine, reduce passive ppt or make the scoring every 10mins or back to 15. making it harder to PPK scrims. so kitten hard to get into t3 structures to start a bag farm as is.

You are confusing scrims with the tick. Scrims last for 2 hours. And it’s dirt easy to get into a t3 structure. 2 shield generators + rams/catas and you’re in. The only way you could fail that is if the opponent has more numbers and/or you suck.

You get passive PPT for T3 structures and various caps, which was fine til they increased the amount. But the increase in passive PPT every 5 mins made it more difficult to farm the turtling ninja ppt heroes. Taking a t3 keep/smc during anything outside of EU/early NA and Sea is difficult unless you have that overwhelming advantage in that time zone. When it’s map queue vs map queue, defense has advantage.

The overall scores don’t quite matter as much if your guilds want to fight more than ninja empty bls. just keep it fresh so we can farm scrubscakes like you. hope to see you in t4 purgatory soon baby cakes. Or t1 with Magswag farming you.

Used to be able to make up 2k points on PPK in 30mins sitting inside smc lords/keep lords. not so much anymore.

don’t need to stir from t4 if anet keeps funneling servers in and out. no ppt stress and usually 1st/2nd in activity t1/t4. CD is happy as a clam to see diff people every week and just fight in the respective tzs. no need for poop sock raids. The only servers CD hasn’t fought since links is BG/TC. Best thing to ever happen, server links.

Winning servers will always have people out to bust. Makes it easier to find target rich environments.

You can also look at one of those new API scoring websites for tier activity. The past 2weeks are probably not a good indicator of activity but I think they should’ve picked up by now over the weekend. I know a few guilds in t4 started raiding again on new years.

nuthug busting is the new game in town. but tiers don’t matter if you NA prime. links give fights all around.

PVP Protips- Team Handicap Assessment

Player(s) complaining about rotating before the 100 point mark = -1
Player(s) going far for a triple cap after winning mid = -1
Player(s) back pedaling in a fight= -1
Player(s) that speak more than 3 lines in team chat before the 250 point mark are probably continually dead at spawn = -1

Conclusion- assume you are entering pvp in a 1v5 situation unless u duo queue.

I’m liking the spvp rewards and achievements. If it’s possible would like to see some stuff for wvw. The Skirmish Achievements or Rewards could be divided into “Guild or Individual” achivements similar to the spvp grind for wings and ascended gear. A few factors to note before the achievements and possible tweaking.

Tweaks:
-lower passive PPT, leave PPK as it is. Since the upgrade to passive PPT for t3 structures, there’s been a more ninja ppt orientation. Or instead of reducing the amount of points every 5minutes, change it back to the 15mins/tick and keep scoring as is.
-4 hour skirmishes
-Guild leader/ranked officers to activate Guild Skirmish achievements for raids similar to guild missions. With maximum of (3) skirmish activation per day. (This would give a guild 12 hours to win at least 1/3 skirmishes. I do not know of many guilds that raid 12hrs/day)

Guild Achievements
-100 Skirmish wins, 250 skirmish wins, 500 skirmish wins, 1000 skirmish wins- reward something, title, shinies, gold whatever. similar to spvp.
-Since everyone is a winnder, rewards for losing skirmishes too. 100 losses, 250 losses, etc- get that pet rock.
-PPK (offense)- kills during attacking an objective. 5000, 10000, 25000, 50000, 100000 kills as a guild. Similar to ultimate dominator, make it higher level for attaining. think UD is 250,000? Make it tier all the way to 500,000 or 1mil as a guild. Promote epic fights.
-PPK (defense)-kills during a defense of objective. or just combine it as total kills.
-PPT achievements (defense)- cumulative PPT held for tower/keep/smc/camp claims? You get like what, 35 PPT/5mins for SMC? Whatever it is. 10,000 PPT, 25000 PPT, 50,000 PPT, 100,000 PPT etc for the guild when claiming stuff. make it 10 tiers or whatever. Get some achievey at end, nice new back piece, and gold. make it wonderful.
-PPT (offense)- capture points accumulate it as a guild. You get points for capping t1-3 stuff? make it a tiered achievement too for points.
-PPK with siege- achievement tiers for getting kills with a canon/ac/ballista/etc for our fun loving wall humpers.

-see everyone is a winner. make wvw great again.

the tournaments killed wvw. skirmishes and linkings have rejuvenated wvw. guilds are now more of a focus point than servers. as now guilds just worry about the skirmishes during their raids. the linkings have allowed variety of fights up and down tiers to smash the assumption that higher tiers=higher skilled guilds. all it had was better coverage and others to nuthug. but if all you care about as a guild are epic fights take a guest server. really all higher tiers was the congregation of all the guilds that couldn’t hack it in wvw. same kittenters new name plate tag, ded guilds in <1month.

If anything, anet should promote achievements or rewards for skirmish wins. Like a guild leader/officer can activate a reward track for a guild if they win during that skirmish. max it out at like 3 skirmish activations a day? or 6, that covers 12 hours. don’t know of too many guilds that have 12 hour coverage though. maybe get some wvw wings/gliders if you win like 100 skirmishes.

which no life guilds are actually ktraining during the holidays?

it’s the holidays and spvp is kinda nice fad atm.

Dude the cost to transfer to a lower tier is lke 125g @500gems. thats like nothing. ez to make for a guild. some of the guilds will pay for exceptional players or ones with potential from the cross links. t1 is just guild burn out and the cycle just keeps kittening itself.

there’s still action in lower tiers. t4 up until the holiday break was 1st/2nd in activity behind t1 for like 6weeks of links. and that’s with all the guilds being bought up into tc/jq/mag. just not many organized guilds and its pug wars in t4 most of the day.

should also add, said pugs steamrolled most of those guilds that had to transfer off so they can play sidecar wvw.

To have 2nd and 3rd place get the same war score per skirmish is awful.
If you are trying to kill wvw faster this will do it.
Please I beg of you change the score thing back.
I’ve done many thousands of hours of wvw and maybe 1% of the population would like this change, but the majority don’t like it and it has made some people already stop playing the game for now.
Please change it back to allow 2nd and 3rd place to get the proper points.

But you not given a reason for why its bad or unfair.

Because FA is about to roll into wood league with CD!
