I’m going to lay it out there for anyone interested. Our NA prime will be for the hardened. The ones looking for an uphill fight. That’s why we’re being selective. If you’re looking for a karma train during NA prime, that’s not going to be CD. We’re looking for guilds looking for orange swords and heading there, not asking “how many?” but “where are they?”

We are now looking for primarily:

-1 NA prime zerg busting guild. What you will be facing of blobs of 40+ on weekends and probably throughout weeknights.

CD has lost guilds but you know what? We are in the same exact position we were in months ago right at the start of season 1 even after losing over half a dozen guilds.

Yes, but if your competitors are also bleeding guilds to T1/T2 – and I’m fairly sure that applies to pretty much everyone south of Dragonbrand these days – then that’s not really saying much.

Both of you are wrong. The reason CD has stayed in the same position since Season 1 was because all 4 mass exoduses happened before it.

No, we lost 2 major guilds that were good people [KA] and [Tofu] post seasons. We lost a couple havoc groups that were kinda there sometimes and kinda not. that was post season for CD. The gap between t3 and t4 is huge, t4/t5 probably not as bad. These were home grown guilds which stung a bit.

The guilds we lost pre season weren’t really home grown, they came in taught us some new tricks and gave us an umph.

Regarding T4/5 waypoints. Each server in these ranks have their coverage gaps and will most likely lose it to other servers during their gaps. CD loses their WPs during NA prime, HOD/NSP loses it during oceanic/sea. So if you’re looking to PvD join CD for oceanic/sea, HOD/NSP for NA prime. If you are looking to fight and challenge yourself, join CD during NA prime, HOD/NSP during oceanic/sea.

PvE wise CD speaking, new patches, we probably have more people in overflows than in wvw. Think CD was one of the first servers to beat marrionette and other pve mumbo jumbo. [PA] guild tries to organize those but I don’t really follow.

T3/4 is what I feel is the sweet spot. With 2 20man NA guilds into CD that can wvw 3/4nights per week would push us there. We have the oceanic/sea to hang and get better. We call rank 13,14,15 wood league on CD. Because we’re stuck in a limbo against ninja ppt HOD. I don’t speak for everyone on CD when I say this, but I don’t want to move up past T3, we were in a happy state in t3/4 back in the day. Less drama, wvwers knowing wvwers. We didn’t have to worry about ppt coverage issues because it just stresses the server out. We would rather have a few guilds that work together in the field in each time slot and be more like a band of brothers than a bandwagon.

There are reasons why CD hasn’t put up a recruitment thread publicly on the forum. We are pretentious of who we bring in now as we’ve seen the rise and fall of bandwagons and we have been getting our crap reorganized since the last bandwagon. We’ve shed alot of guilds since last season but the ones left are hanging us in silver still. It comes to show the resilience we have with the ones left. But if you’re interested, people you can probably contact based on time zones:

HOD- has a good NA crew. They’re one of the more frustrating servers to play against due to their ninja ppt crew. Avoids fights looks for quick karma trains. Lacks oceanics/sea

NSP- has one of the best roaming guilds/groups you can come across in Holy/tm. Their main guilds blob/karma train probably far superior numbers than HOD/CD’s NA counterparts. (Os guild). I would gander to say Os has more guild members alone on their raid nights than either HOD or CD can field individually as a server.

CD- our NA is the weakest. We have a couple good roaming guilds in tkva/pug. Our oceanic/sea is our strength and that’s their karma train time zone. CD literally has no NA karma train but the ones holding ground do their best. CD has a few guilds trying to get better and into the gvg scene. VII, KOME, VOW, PUG. Not sure what the other two servers offer in terms of gvg.

Basically if you’re looking to karma train during NA go for HOD/NSP. You want an uphill fight in NA go for CD. If you’re oceanic/sea and want people to play with, CD would be better.

Simplify it, no if this or that. 1 or 2hour “guild claim refresh” like siege, put a timer on it. First one there or however the system has it now gets first dibs. After 2 hours it becomes unclaimed or the timer just sits at 0 until another person does.

Make it so the guild has to come “refresh” the claim like siege every 1-2hours. The buffs are part of the claims, but if a guild is putting in time and effort upgrading it and dropping siege they should be able to claim it too.

If you’re looking to build a server from ground up then why tier 2/3? They are pretty much built… Mid silver or bottom silver would be better choices for that.

We need a few new replacements. A few are back in school or have new work schedules that’s put up some gaps in our core runners.

elementalists: high demand (2) but must be willing to learn and change builds. Semi skilled in group play of 10-20 players. understand positioning. Not solo duelists.

mesmers: (2)- high demand. veil bots and pbombs on demand

Warriors: medium demand just know how to spam earthshaker cuz that’s all i do.

Guardians: medium demand

We’re still looking for those pug bros in arms during our PST time zone.

We’re also working on a second driver for our Eastern counterparts. If you play during that time and would like to try, let us know. But it’s still in its infant stages.

It’s declined on CD with a few guilds leaving and a handful of regular commanders. But it looks like we’re making a turn around slowly but surely with the assets we do have. TBH we’re just waiting for a few of our smaller guilds to step up with a 10man group and a commander that won’t get killed at every engagement to gain their trust. Takes time for new guys to get into the swing of things especially if they’re getting wiped.

The man seems legit. He visited our server and tells it how it is. Didn’t sense no ego, just another straight shooter. Perhaps one day we can see you guys in action in the field.

Our current goals are to be a guild that welcomes players of all skill levels and create a community based around playing the game to have fun. We want to also get people interested in some other aspects outside of PvE so we have a greater variety of things to do. Right now we’re able to afford keeping 10% Magic Find booster up all the time, but hope we’ll get enough active and repping players to afford more bonuses more often. Most of our experienced players are able and willing to help newer players learn how to complete dungeons and are very knowledgeable about many aspects of the game.

We have no requirements outside of knowing how to be a decent person. We don’t require full-time representation (we understand some people like being a part of a hardcore WvW group as well as having PvE people to hang out with), but we encourage it. We have no age requirement either, as are members of all ages.

We have a Teamspeak channel within the larger one for the server, giving easy access to players from other guilds and WvW. Using it is optional.

What games did you guys play before gw2? In particular lineage 1? I knew a group on there with that ran with that tag and also similar player ids. Could just be a small world or nothing at all.

Why don’t you run with us? I don’t like to poach members already on guilds on same server, but if you’re planning to hop might as well make a last ditch effort for a skilled asset.

The Necromancers and Engineers were actually pulling people into our group. How do you kill numbers like that if not with AoE? Siege? Should they have just stacked boons and ran in there spamming AoE and hammer stuns like all the “zerg-busters” do? This is an easy game with a broken combat system when it comes to large numbers.

There’s always some scrub hater. Coming from CD, I’m sure you would have ran first. That’s the main reason we left CD — the “run first, fight later” attitude. The only decent guilds on that server were [FKVA] and [NA], the rest of you are as good as ogre or dredge mercenaries.

Maybe have your zerg portal bomb our 5man groups more. Get good.

I am in CD, but I know a guild that went to Far Shiverpeaks. They are having a great time there and tell me the community is great. They feel at home and if you want I could give you contacts with them. They are a small guild but very friendly and do a lot of fun events.

I also left CD. The wvw community there right now is split. Ferguson’s Crossing has proven to have a great community, great response times, and pugs who are competent. When you tell them not to PVD, or not to build something they listen and it is amazing. The majority of players use the server TS and follow very well. All of the wvw guilds work together via TS, and they will stop to help defend when necessary. After a year of playing this is my fourth server, and a very pleasant surprise. We have good NA prime time coverage, but could use an aggressive force at that time as well as coverage for SEA/EU prime time.

Your being nice by saying it is split, it is getting far worse, but we make it workout the best we can. I personally have fun, but I prefer small group tactics over zergs. If your looking for a strong WvW community that is set in stone already though CD is not at this time.

It’s more of blood bone aka bain of blood vs the server. Even on different teamspeak, the wvw guilds that field 10+ are in contact with each other on whisper. At least to try to follow up with upgrades and help take some positions.

What time zone do you play in? Are you looking for a large guild (250>) or smaller (<250)?

Yah [RI] from CD is good, i think other malay guild is [HAX]. Both are CD guilds.

Hi everyone!

I have been continually disappointed by the lack of small team/roaming action on my server. It seems that if people aren’t zerging then they’re mostly keeping to themselves or running solo. I have tried out some of the WvW focused guilds but none of them really have a focus on roaming.

My ideal guild would be one that focused almost primarily on running 5 man teams to flip camps or participate in skirmishes, since these are the activities that I enjoy most in WvW. I am a casual player so I’m not hoping for anything too hardcore, just a good, fun group of people to roam with that are consistently active.

I would recommend [HAX] or [Sig]. I think hax has singapore or malaysians that do pve. I only encounter them in wvw and teamspeak but they are a funny bunch. cutie phantasmer might be a contact, not sure how to spell name. I know sig does alot of pve but they might be more NA oriented with a handful of hardcore asian pve.

Had a discussion with someone other week. Just so we don’t waste anyone else’s time. No we are not looking for a 500man PvX guild with another sub guild. And no, we will not merge with anyone or expect you to merge with ours. We’re looking for your 15-25man team to be our brother in arms. The direction we want to go is clear.

We can be besties. Keep in touch bud. All server drama aside. We’re just looking for someone to roll with during our time zone and dominate. It gets quite lonely being the only trolls on the field =(

Greetings ladies, gentleman, and trolls alike,

Desert Spectre [VII] is a Crystal Desert wvw guild. We run wvw 20-30hours/week during 8pm-midnight (PST/server time). The players that we have are hardened wvwers of CD. Most of us have been through the rise, fall, rise endless cycle of CD for the past year. However, we enjoy the challenge and the frustration of the peaks and troughs of the server. We run a 15-25 man group during raid nights and 10-15 during non scheduled raid nights.

During our serious days, we take our wipes as just another thing to learn. We grow with each engagement and adapt. We train for the outnumbered fights not the even, we will not complain about the numbers, but will relish the challenge. We siege, we open field, we troll, it’s all part of the fun.

What we are looking for is out of the ordinary. We are not looking to transfer servers, we are looking for another 15-25 man guild that runs during the same PST time zone as us. Not to merge, but to complement a style of play we feel will further our gw2 experience together. We want to run a 2 guild/2 commander system on a map and dominate during that time zone. We’ve seen this in the upper silver tiers and peaks of it during tier 2. We are rather impressed and are keen to this style of play. We don’t want to transfer up because the upper echelon of silver are already stacked as is. We don’t want to transfer down, because the growth to the top of silver league and potentially getting a shot at gold is even further from reach.

In essence, we are recruiting A guild (1): we don’t want to hop our teams to maps and have a queue:

-15-25 man raid nights
-committed to 20-30hours of wvw during PST/server (7pm-midnight)
-nitty gritty fighters, won’t QQ about numbers
-a voice com commander that can lead them
-able to siege fortified positions, defend, and fight in the open field above the average shmuck
-willing to train fresh pugs of the server into this style of play

If you are interested, we won’t be able to help you with gold for player transfers. However, we can help you rebuild your influence. We will run under your tag, help with some gold to build up some upgrades. Of course, we’d like to see your crew in the field first. So just let us know, so we can keep an eye out for you guys if we matchup.

One bronze win doesn’t take away from the many arduous months we’d fought outnumbered and fallen from #1 spot to the bottom of NA. Survival and endurance is something we’d taught ourselves a long time ago. Don’t think that NSP is the only server that knows how that feels like.

HoD deserves to be excited about PPT this week since everyone’s worked ultra hard to prove to ourselves that a win against CD and NSP is possible. After all, it’s been a long time since HoD scored a win over NSP, and winning CD has had only been a pipe dream for the longest time. Ofc we know that some of the stronger servers in Silver League might/will trample over us, it’s not like that hasn’t happened before. Just a few months ago, CD was doing just that. But at least we know now where we stand, and that we have a fighting chance at least among some of the Silver League servers.

HOD has been quite impressive. Kudos and you guys deserve the points you’re pushing this week. You guys know how to map hop for the PPT and easy takes. HOD/NSP are bringing an overwhelming A game while we’re fielding a C game at best.

It’s cool with us. Just giving you guys a heads up. Others on CD and other servers might take more offense. We thoroughly enjoyed entertaining ourselves as we told them there’s a 25golem rush that’s being prepared in BP BL and we had to goto another TS to coordinate. Then most of us logged off and went to sleep.

MM and Rekz were the two guilds they kept asking what we thought of them. Don’t actually know if noodles and his compadres are in them. Just giving you a heads up in case they are and talking smack in the background within your own ranks.

CD has oceanics and we need more pugs. Come join us. Oh and those wvw guilds and trolls too.

Borlis Pass you guys are winning and are great to matchup against. There’s no need for you guys to send spies into our TS server. Just to know when we’re logging off and you can pvd our keeps down. Although it was quite entertaining to troll and talk to them.

CD has it’s own problems and we do go at it with each other when we are losing. But to have you guys talk trash about your own server and guilds while you’re winning…You guys should watch your backs in your own ranks. Our suspicion is that the 3 in our TS last night was from MM/Rekz(?) not sure though. They kept asking us about what we think about those guilds specifically. In all honesty, we probably play in different time zones so we don’t encounter those guilds in full force so can’t really say. But we say some of the guilds we encountered like [LOST], [VP] and a few others are formidable and you guys go thoroughly trashing them how they’re just transfers holding down coverage blah blah. It was astonishing, I thought CD trolled their own guilds. But you guys got issues.

One of the guys told in private chat once he figured that we were just trolling them after a while, the guy trying hardcore to spy on us was some guy named noodles something. Greatest PVF/PVD commander in the history of BP. Just a heads up to anyone else facing BP. Probably doesn’t represent the majority of the server, but popping 3 spies into ts…man that’s so teeny bopper bieber hardcore.
