Someone is working on WvW problems?

after EOTM release i start wondering if someone is still working on WvW. Anyone thinking that EOTM have solved all the problem is wrong(excep GvG Area). EOTM is just a crappy pve map played by pve players..any serious WvW group does not want to go there because " it too easy ROLFstomp everyone there". 2 month passed but still all the WvW problem are there ( we have also made a thread….. https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/wuv/wuv/A-Complete-List-of-WvW-Bugs-FOR-ANET …but none care. We had only one answer

Nice thread. I don’t know how many of these issues we can feasibly tackle, but I’m sure you’ll see at least a few fixes come from this.
Most of this problems exist from the start of the game!!!anet want to tell me that you still need us to address these issues???!?!?!
They just keep adding living story and fix that ASAP ( 2 months of patchs) but WvW nothings…

i dont give a flying kitty of pve,living story and all this crap, i’m a WvW player and i still play your game from the start only for this feature!

Retaliation is the exact opposite of an anti-zerg mechanic. A zerg going against a small group is not going to care that you have retaliation, you’re going to go splat on their windshield as they plow through. Retaliation on a zerg vs a small group makes the zergs job that much easier. You’re going to half kill yourself just trying to hurt them and then go splat. The only place that retaliation is balanced is currently in small fights 1v1 up to 5v5. They have several options really, 1. Add an internal cooldown so it can only tick 1 per second, 2. Make it only work against direct attacks and not AOE’s 3. Make the caster only take ticks from one source just to name a few.

The worst time I’ve had with retaliation was on my mesmer when I dropped chaos storm and feedback on a zerg. Apparently reflected projectiles count as my attacks and thus proc retaliation. 20k hp to downed in 2 attacks!

Abilities

Adrenaline is the warrior profession’s unique mechanic. As the warrior attacks, adrenaline is built up and can be spent on a single powerful burst attack. Each weapon set has a single burst skill which has a variety of different conditions that improve with more adrenaline. Adrenaline has three levels, and each adrenaline level increases the effect of the burst skill, and can also provide the warrior with other improvements like increased damage or health regeneration.

The warrior also has the highest selection of weapons compared to other professions, giving a good variation between the types of play-styles that they can choose from.

Like the other soldier profession, the guardian, warrior wears heavy armor which grants them high defense. However, to make up for the lack of guardian’s healing abilities, warrior has much higher base health.

just requiring you to be out of combat to res a finished player would be enough and would make a huge difference imo.

this…in game where you have to costantly move to overcome the dps of a lager group the possibility of ressing from full dead is bad game design…this mean if this will get disabled… you can move ahead after killing good number of ppl without worring ….“will they ress and come back again?”
this will make this game also a matter of quality not only numbers…giving a chance to a smaller group to wipe a bigger one.

give this to us…you will see where vizuna end…

If you think of casual playing as “i’m just here i don’t want to be bothered” and you expect to have your group wipe more organized groups you’re in the wrong game. If you think of casual playing as grabbin 5 of your friends, one who’s a guardian, one who’s a warrior and three who are whatever then you’ll go far with the zerg or on your own.

+1 else join a serious guild if you want play seriously….

On the other hand, having random pugs that are following an organised guild group soak up stability uses will wipe people in that guild. No matter what, someone is going to miss out. The difference now is that you can actually rely on your party, and know that you will be getting the buff, rather than sitting on your blob and hoping you’re one of the closest 5.

Good idea from anet here.

I can tell you…… lot of good words but nothing concrete….
the equilibrated solution to all the WWW’s problem are an ocean far away…
All other aspect of the game have something of concrete….
I/we RvR population in this game will loose fast interest in this…looking how they develop this side of this game…
Looking forward…. and hoping will be better….or other more incetrated games…

Sorry but you are the one creating the lag by running in massive groups! (blobbing) So its your own fault. Dont want it? Split up

1) how do you know where i’m playing?
2) how do you know what my guild do?
3) it my fault yeah…that the point….if in a 3×3 there are so much people that i cannot even cast speed or heal out my workcamp.
4) uhm Ruin of Surmia…have you ever met Vizuna? dont know really..if you did you know what i’m talking about.

I’ve spent quite some time digging into forum archives but couldn’t come up with a single definitive post to support my statement. Maybe it was a blog post or I just missed it.

However, for a person who was tracking progress regarding skill delays for quite some time, that’s what is the picture numerous posts from Devs over almost a year on this topic (and that of culling) left in my head. You may want to dig into posts history of Anet’s Habib Loew and Devon Carver who replaced Habib on WvW forums some time ago to get the idea.

I agree though that messaging around work to eliminate skill lags is a bit stale lately.

Well and if this is the optimization let me tell you (3 months for this) ….. go back with some step…. lag it getting WORSE

No it’s not. We can play this game all day long and could probably at best come to conclusion that our experiences are different.

……..this is not a clear message …..2 stealthy lines in a patch note.

They are not more stealthy than everything else in patch notes. Outside of Anet forum posts, patch notes are THE source to stay informed on what’s up with the game in details.

I wonder when they published this games …..why they did not tested all this problems in a OPEN BETA…..all this problems were clear……

Why do you think they didn’t and/or why do you think this problem was clear then? Skill delays were not always there, not on the scale they started to appear at some point in game history. I remember playing during BWE and skill delays on WvW even if they have existed then, were simply unnoticeable behind all the other performance problems game (and/or my rig I had then) had at the time.

sorry i mean… overall (over 3 moth) it slowly getting better…. but last 2 week were terrible. that why “some step back”.

It’s been like this for a long time. Devs have been silent too. It was acknowledged way back during the culling days, and we were told culling will be fixed, but not lag, as it is supposed to be a separate issue. Since then, no update on any resolution, if any is forthcoming.

Threads about lag are becoming as numerous as stealth threads.

+1 this is unacceptable…..and when i’m talking about this problem i’m not reffering to disconnection…that maybe caused by a faulty adsl line (i have a solid one) but the “swap” and “skill delay” that we have during fight. I’m not gonna leave this thread die…i will keep this updated until we have an answer and i invite you guys to do the same in this or similar thread.

Hello everybody,
I have been playing this game from beta and Anet andressed lot of problem since the start(culling etc) , but atm look like none talk about this DAM SKILL LAG. I play in a big guild that mostly play higer tier of WWW (Eu) and every evening always same problem , SKILL DONT WORK IN BIG FIGHT!!! sometime even at WC when there is a fight around the map!
Since this is not obviously our problem and DEV do not talk or even comment a thread with this argument !!This is totally increadible !!! this is the base of the WWW game…
yeah dam keep talk about match up ….. blob and crap . Everybody now or in the future will experience this problem, would u like fix this? or at least keep us updated on this? Dont you know a lot of ppl are frustrated about this? or you wanna kill rvr and make this game a PVE game ( judging by the last contents update)?

The Thief build we love to hate

you all complain about thief because it the easier to see. No one complain about shatter mesmer with frenzy…..because till now this build it still not discovered.Mesmer can " burst " (Aoe) more than a thief.Instead to find a counter all ppl come here and cry a river because they got pwned. what a bunch of crybaby. Or wanna talk about warrior? warrior can do same kitten of sin lockdown -> burst . Steal Like every other skill it subjeted to all other mitigation skill….dodge…invisibility… etc. “it not 100% hit”.
A part this how do you think this game will evolve? when a new strong build is discovered all ppl use that…etcetc i mean…. you cannot talk about “balance” because every day news build are discovered and a class get screwed.

What are you expecting from "Lost Shore" patch?

ANet has implied certain specific changes on multiple occasions without going into detail. We also have some official info to go on.

Hence I wanted to hear what you’re expecting from the “Lost Shore” patch due for November 15th.

#Content
-A level 80 zone, filled with new events and loot.
-A new Dungeon. Probably harder and better designed than current ones.

#Game changes
-A “fix” to the Precursor issue. Either an alternative way to receive or increased drop-rates. Anyhow, they should become a lot more abundant.
-Something do discourage people from farming Plinx non-stop. Maybe by making the “Lost Shore” more attractive.
-Possibly a new WvW scoring algorithm, but unlikely.
-Minor UI enhancements.
-Ability to salvage Karma gear.
-Adjustments to mob-respawn rate.

#Balance
-A Nerf to Thief Burst builds. Probably by nerfing Mug.
-A Nerf to Guardian Bunker builds.
-Various profession changes.
-Buffs to Rangers.

Theif class have been already nerfed. Assasin signet is decreased from +150% cd on next skill to +15% dmg on next five attack.
what do you want more?
A class with no def no hp if you remove the dmg too what thief become…
It like tell an assasin to murder someone with a not sharped knife.
Btw from your post i bet you are a Ranger and want all your counter nerfed.

to improve the search funcionality i would like to suggest to add an additional filter on the " ARMOR" category based on the type of armor (Medium,Heavy etc..).
